Would You Still Love Me?

Hi Everyone! Really miss being on here and I miss seeing all my fellow writers/friends. This idea popped into my head last night (Just a little prompt) and I decided to write about it. Hope you like!

Prompt: After dating Sebastian for some time, he’s start to question if you would love him regardless of his celebrity status and why you are staying with him despite how hard life can get. While it does put a lot of pressure on your life, you assure Seb that he is the best thing that has ever happened to you. :)

Warnings: PURE FLUFF. If you can’t handle the cuteness, you should still read haha. Maybe some slight angst/swearing.

Silence. That’s all you felt and heard as you lay quietly in your bed, staring up at the ceiling. ‘Where is he?’ you kept asking yourself. With a quick leap, you pushed the covers aside and got out of bed to look out the window. You stared at the empty driveway, with a hopeful face that soon his car would pull up.

Shaking your head, you pulled away from the window and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. It was nights like these that you were restless and wished that he was there to lull you to sleep. Stirring the tea bag in your mug, you slouch over the kitchen sill and gaze once more out the window in hopes your sexy man would pull in any second.

One minute....two minutes...three minutes pass and you give up once more. The tea helped to calm your nerves, so therefore you were starting to feel your body get heavy with sleep. Dragging yourself up to your room, a small tear slides down your cheek and hits the carpet. You knew that dating Sebastian was going to be hard because he was always on the move, but you didn’t know it was going to be THIS hard....especially because you loved him so much. Burying yourself in the thick covers, you feel your body drift into a quiet slumber.

The next morning rolls around quicker than you wanted, and you wake up feeling heavier than normal. Attempting to pull the covers off of you, you feel an arm stop your motion and pull. Wrapped up in pillows and blankets on the side of you was none other than your hunky boyfriend, Sebastian Stan. You smile at his sleepy state and squeal, “Seb! You’re home!!!” He murmurs something and you try to take the covers off so you can hug him. He groans and peeks at you with one eye open. “Ugh, y/n. Please babe, give me like a few more minutes.” You smiled and ruffled his messy hair. Rolling over so he can spoon you, you pulled Seb’s naked arm over you and fell peacefully asleep.

Well....a few more minutes turned into hours and you were thankful that you had the day off. This time when you woke up, no one was on the side of you. You patted the right side of the bed and no Seb. It wasn’t until you heard the clank of plates that you figured out he was in the kitchen. You threw on one of his shirts that still smelled like his favorite body wash, and trudged downstairs. It was a point in your relationship that you and Seb didn’t care what you looked like in the morning...and you were very grateful of that.

Rounding the corner, you couldn’t help but giggle at the sight in front of your eyes. A shirtless Sebastian was swaying his hips to Shakira and was flipping around pancakes. This is the side of Seb that you appreciated Hollywood didn’t know about. He was everything you wanted and even more perfect when he wasn’t in his “celebrity” mode.

Seb’s out of tune singing pulled you away from your thoughts and you began laughing out loud. He turned around quickly and nearly dropped the pancakes that were in his hand. “Jesus, babe!! You didn’t have to sneak up on me like that!” You giggled and rushed over to wrap your arms around the blushing man in front of you. You peppered his face with kisses and ran your hands up and down his toned bidy. “Oh, did I just scare the Winter Soldier himself?! I must be stealth.” You patted his butt and sat down at the table. He smacked yours back as you turned around, earning a small yelp from your mouth.

He laughed and brought a plate of pancakes over to you. “Yea, I may be a ninja on screen but in real life, I am the biggest scaredy cat. You should know this hun.” You smirked and started drizzling the maple syrup over your food. You thought Seb was going to join you but he just stood there watching you eat. Staring at your boyfriend, you gave him a confused look. “You ok there, Soldier?” Seb just shrugged and finally sat down across from you. “Babe, can I uh, can I ask you something?”

You placed your fork down and just kept a blank stare locked on him. “Seb, of course you can. You’re acting a lil weird tho.” He nodded and rubbed his neck. “Would you...” he pauses and sighs “Would you still love me if I wasn’t famous?” He didn’t even look at you after asking, and just kept fiddling with the placemat. You on the other hand were taken back by this question and scoffed. “Seb, of course I’d still love you. What kind of question is that?!”.

When he looked up at you, tears were lining his eyelids and he blinked to shoo them away. “No, I’m serious y/n. I love you so much and when you agreed to date me, everyone thought that you were just doing it because you were a small town girl and wanted the fame.” Your blood started to get hot and you slammed your hand on the table. “Sebastian Stan!! Are you seriously going to believe a bunch of assholes that have nothing better to do than write rumors about you? I agreed to date you because you were the greatest thing that has happened to me. After all the shit I went through during mom’s death and trying to get an internship with your agent, you were the one thing that kept pushing me forward.”

He nodded and wiped his cheek. “I know babe, but then again I feel so bad dragging you through this journey of fame because of how busy I can be and how much this has to stress you out.” You smiled softly, knowing that he really was upset and all you wanted to do was love him. So you got up from your chair, walked over to him, and crawled into his lap. With a hand on each side of his face, you pressed a gentle kiss to his forehand. “Sebastian Stan, the love of my life, celebrity or not, I am going to love you forever and ever. You are worth every night that I am alone, every tear, every smile, and every moment we share together. I am beyond honored to be your girlfriend and will always be here when you need me, baby.”

That’s all he needed to hear. Seb swooped you up from his lap and smothered your face with kisses. You both were a giggling and kissing mess until he abruptly got down on one knee. “Y/f/n y/l/n, then would do me the honors and become my one and only Mrs. Stan?” When he opened the tiny box, your breath was taken away when you saw your mother’s wedding ring glistening back at you. Tears poured down your face and you smiled. “Yes, my Sebby, I’ll be yours forever”. He smiled greatly and spun you around. “SHE SAID YESSSS!!!!”

You couldn’t stop laughing by how much of a kid he could be sometimes. As you stood there admiring your mom’s ring, a thought popped into your head. “Wait a second, this has been with my dad ever since she passed away. How did you manage to get a hold of it?” Seb smirked and wrapped you into him again. “Let’s just say it was a long drive and I got no sleep.” You thought....last night. That’s why Seb wasn’t home! He drove all the way to your dad’s place just to get the ring and ask for his blessing.

Grabbing his face, you stared into the eyes of your future husband. “I love you so damn much, Mr. Stan”. Seb’s eyes shined into yours and he kissed your nose softly. “I love you more Mrs. Stan.” Would you still love Sebastian Stan, the answer.....you would NEVER stop loving him. ;)

7) Blackpink - Got into them and was obsessed especially with songs like “Kick It” and “Forever Young” as well as “As if It’s Your Last.”

6) SZA - Got into her in late 2018 and I was enamored with ctrl! “Prom” and songs like “The Weekend” and “Drew Barrymore” are standouts!

5) Girls’ Generation - The first K-pop artist I ever listened to back in 2014, they were always the only group I cared about, but I never stanned and only knew “Gee” and “Party” until this year and then I finally stanned! They remain my favorite K-Pop girl group!

4) Twice - My second fave K-Pop Girl group, above SNSD solely because I explored more of Twice’s discography this year, didn’t disappoint and songs like “Fancy,” “Breakthrough,” “Love Foolish,” and “Fake & True” were on repeat! I love them so much!

3) Mary J. Blige - I got into Mary J. Blige on February 16, 2019 and my life forever changed! I will forever love her and her album “What’s the 411″ is one of my favorite albums of all time!

2) Mariah Carey - Off the heels of the November release of Caution as well as the Christmas season, Mariah still dominated in 2019, continuing her staying power since 2014!

1) BTS - I got into BTS this year after hearing of them for years but never wanting to get into the K-Pop world (I liked SNSD but only two songs and yes I know, BTS transcends K-Pop). I finally took the plunge after being obsessed with Boy with Luv after the 2019 BBMA’s and I never looked back. They DOMINATED the chart like nobody has ever seen except back in 2014 when Mariah dominated for the first time. It was insane. They are my favorite artist of all time tied with Mariah and they both changed and saved my life!

Day #11: Ego, The Saturdays (2010)

Finally! I get to write about The Saturdays. This was the first musical act that I really stanned, as obsessive as I was with Shakira and Madonna and Matchbox Twenty. Finding out about The Saturdays was not as organic as compared to my journey with Europop groups in the early aughts – I found them via the Recommended tab on YouTube, with a song called Notorious. I immediately imagined myself in their shoes, but with myself switching from the dryness of school (instead of the dryness of working at an office) to working the dancefloor. It was during my internship (when I also listened to Robyn) when I first saw the music video. And like the young homo that I was, me and floor fillers just mixed well.

Soon enough, I listened to all their songs, watched all their MVs, watched all their interviews that were online. I talked about them to my friends non-stop. My experience with girl groups was similar to everyone else: some Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child here and there. When I saw Frankie, Mollie, Una, Vanessa, and Rochelle for the first time (in Flo Rida’s order in their collab “Higher,” which is the only correct order), I was in love. Singing in the cold in the middle of nowhere? Stunning. Mollie’s verse in Work? Work. Vanessa’s vocals in Forever is Over? Iconic. Androgynous clothing in Gentlemen? They went there years before your pop idols. I even watched their Google+ Hangout launch on YouTube. All 51 minutes of it. Vanessa randomly broke out into song and imitated a dog’s bark non-stop (since they did not have a buzzer for a trivia game).

They had a reality show on E! in 2013 which I watched and rewatched religiously (I rewatched the whole thing when the whole world in quarantine, as a regressive source of comfort). It’s soothing to see their dynamics play out. Hey, every reality show is scripted, but I really felt that they were really good friends IRL. I think they’re still good friends, even today. It’s refreshing to see genuine friendships in pop groups instead of the usual drama that goes on (Girls Aloud, Sugababes, The Cheetah Girls).

About the song itself, it was a fun reworking of a superhero story, way before Marvel movies made it the cash grab-pop culture industry that it is today. Way before Avengers and the MCU, we didn’t have too many good superhero stories in film or TV. Una is a pyrokinetic, Frankie is a photokinetic, Vanessa manipulates physical bodies, Rochelle has super strength, and there was a debate about whether Mollie is an aerokinetic or is actually an atmokinetic. To be fair though, we only see Mollie blow strong winds against their foe and posing next to a griffin. We don’t see her doing anything else that could suggest that she can control weather or at least, lightning. She has lightning under her eye, but that doesn’t suggest anything except for maybe she’s a fan of David Bowie. Or that she’s probably a Little Monster.

Ego’s music video features The Saturdays (Rochelle joked that they would’ve been called The Friday Nights which I honestly don’t know if that’s better or worse) out for revenge when their former member (who’s a guy) chose to go solo. As it turns out, the guy is incompetent and hungry for recognition, and he only got to where he was because of the efforts of his former team. It’s a nice interpretation of the lyrics, which is about the inherent confidence/hubris of straight men.

So who knows what tomorrow may bring with the new game? I can’t wait!
