alright so ive already talked about this multiple times before, but ive noticed posts about this topic FINALLY spreading around more.

the sexualization in the slenderverse fandom is a huge problem, and its only getting worse as the fandom continues to grow.

i feel like people need to be reminded:

SLENDERVERSE ACTORS ARE NOT CELEBRITIES. THEY ARE LIKE US. THEY WANT TO LIVE NORMAL LIVES. THEY ARE NOT THE CHARACTERS THEY PLAY.

separate the character from the actor. do not stalk their socials. do not try to dm them. do not comment weird shit under their public posts.

RESPECT. THEIR. BOUNDARIES.

i rarely see any slenderverse actors interact with the fandom like they used to do. thats because fans dont treat them like actual human beings. i have seen some of the actors complain about being stalked, having people pretend to be them or their significant other online, etc.

its fucking ridiculous. you know what else is ridiculous? the editors and fanartists who ignore people trying to inform them about the actors boundaries + the problem with sexualization.

there has been a LOT of that happening on tiktok lately. so please, if you use the app and stumble across a post that disrespects an actors boundaries:

LEAVE A COMMENT. EDUCATE THE UPLOADER. TELL THEM WHY WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG AND DISRESPECTFUL.

do not harass them or be mean about it, please just inform them. my friend and i have both been doing this, and we either get ignored or in my case, blocked. at this point, i feel like the only possible way to get people to listen is if they get multiple comments about it.

finding the actors attractive is fine, but PLEASE just keep your sexual comments and thoughts private. the actors and other people in the fandom would appreciate it, ESPECIALLY if you are underage. that just makes it even more uncomfortable to see.

As someone who was influenced by the fandom to dislike Shaun, but eventually realized he wasn't a bad person, here are some reasons not to hate him:

-First of all, he does care about Michael. And that's why he stayed, even when he was Patrick. He may have been immature with uploading that video with Eric, but that's just one of his character flaws. He runs away from his problems, and often doesn't apologize. But that doesn't mean he doesn't love Michael.

Michael is his brother after all. If he didn't care, he would've told HABIT where he was, so he could have his freedom. But he didn't. Shaun died because he was refusing to give away Michael's location in order to protect him. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have tried to contact Michael multiple times (mentioned in ‘A Message from Shaun’), and he would've just ran away, cut contact.

-I believe he's just afraid. His brother is having all of these crazy hallucinations, and saying that he's being followed by an entity that could harm both of them, and anyone close to them. So, Shaun puts some distance. Not because he doesn't care about Michael, but to keep his close ones safe.

-I also believe that their parents have to have had a part in Shaun's mentality. They kept Michael away, probably feeding lies to Shaun as well. Shaun was growing up getting told that his brother was crazy and needed to be locked away in a hospital. So of course, that was what he believed. He didn't believe Michael's words about the grandfather clock for a long time, shrugging them off as Michael being ‘crazy’ once again, even though he himself could remember something about that clock. He didn't even believe Slenderman's existence because he thought Michael was making it up. He was blinded into being afraid of his own blood and flesh, his brother.

(P.S this is all my opinion, and i'm too tired to look through all of the MLA0 videos again, so sorry if this is not lore accurate. i just wanted to ramble lol)
