Day 7. Vintage for @redthreaded's #fallforcostume While I enjoy having a lot of interesting vintage costume pieces, and have used my fair share of interesting vintage finds in projects I've designed, one of my absolute pieces of history I own is this beautiful cane. It is an actual turn of the century sword cane that is nearly identical to the one in the 2009 Sherlock Holmes film. I found it in an obscure sale online and it has led an interesting life for sure - it was in some slight disrepair when I received it and the blade itself had been blunted. It remains one of my favorite items I've ever purchased for cosplay.
