we saw a post about autistic people and empathy so that's your context for this ig

bc Sherlock and I& are kinda blended (we can't front without the other and are handcuffed together in headspace🥰) our empathy is weird. Sherlock never really had empathy, just really REALLY low empathy. But my& empathy was actually also fairly low in source, it just looks a lot higher in comparison to Sherlock's near invisible empathy, which it often was.

Now, we are the headmate with the lowest empathy before the 3 folks with none. What Sherlock has deduced as having happened is, because I& had higher empathy than he did, when we were combined like this, whatever empathy he had was subtracted from mine and the difference was applied to the pair of us.

Apparently I& just didn't really notice it because it didn't really play into cases often so I& didn't really pay any attention to it beyond the doctor's appointments my& other half (dunno if John's typing or thinking rn or if that's Sherlock) dragged me& to because we both knew I& wouldn't go on my& own.

Sherlock and I share a body now I guess? We split today (thanks Youtube, for sparking an interest, causing us to do so) and, as far as experience has dictated, we can only front together. We can't front apart. Being in the same body as someone else is a novel experience and I'm glad it's John I'm sharing it with, even if it may mean we're somewhat the same person now? We can switch seamlessly between who has "more" control, although it really just means one of us is narrating our thoughts while the other types.

John and I will probably share our thoughts on this new experience here in later installments.
