For a moment, Aaron’s whole world stopped turning. A cold, familiar sense of dread settled into his chest at the words, “You all may want to sit down for this.”
“Not again,” he thought. “I can’t do this again, we can’t do this again.”
“God please,” he begged internally, slumping into a chair, “if you’re listening, please don’t take her. We need her.”
Suddenly, the voice of a surgeon cut through the silent room like a knife.
“Sir, your wife lost a significant amount of blood. We had no choice but to perform an emergency c-section. Although your daughter is slightly pre-term, she seems to be in good health. However, we would like to keep her a while for monitoring.”
“And my wife?” He inquires, voice trembling with fear.
“It was touch and go there for a while, but we were able to locate the source of bleeding and get it under control. Your wife is out of surgery. She’s stable, but she is very weak and currently asleep. She will also be hospitalized for recovery. At least a week most likely, maybe longer.”
“Mama’s gonna be okay?” Jack pipes up.
“Yes, she is buddy,” Aaron replies, ruffling his hair. “Thanks to that doctor.”
“Thanks for making my mama feel better.”
“You’re most welcome,” the surgeon replied. “You and your dad can go visit her now. The rest of you will have to wait. She needs her rest. I’m sorry.”
“Thank you doctor,” Aaron says, shaking his hand with a sigh of relief.
“You go Aaron,” Rossi encourages, clapping him on the shoulders before he even had a chance to turn around. “Go see your wife and baby. We’ll wait.”
——————————————————————————
Entering your hospital room, Aaron thought your sleeping face was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. Sitting on the side of your hospital bed, he grabbed hand as you stirred awake.
“Hello Angel,” he murmurs as you take everything in. “You gave us quite a scare,” he mentions, softly caressing your face.
“The baby,” you whisper, touching his hand.
“Ssssshhhh,” he soothes. “The baby is fine. She’s in the nursery. You just rest okay?”
Instant relief washes over your face. “Jack?”
“I’m right here mama!” he exclaims, scrambling into Aaron’s lap.
“I want to see the baby,” you tell Aaron.
“I know darling, but you really need your rest.”
“I NEED to see her, Aaron.” You plead.
Taking the hint, he begins to rise. “Jack why don’t you stay with mama, while I go talk to the nurse, okay?”
“Okay Daddy,” he agrees, climbing in the bed next to you.
“I’m glad you’re feeling better mama,” Jack says, looking up at you with the sweetest face.
“Me too, baby,” you reply. “Are you ready to meet your sister?”
“Yeah!” he exclaims with a look of excitement. “Can I hold her?”
“Of course you can buddy, as long as you’re careful,” Aaron replies as he re-enters the room. “The nurses are bringing her down.”
A few minutes later a nurse arrives holding a tiny pink blanket. “Who wants to hold her first?” She inquires.
“You should hold her first, Aaron,” you suggest.
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” he insists. “You’ve been the strongest, bravest mom I know already. You should hold her first.”
As the nurse places the tiny, squirming bundle with her father’s dark hair in your arms, all the stress and chaos of the day seems to just melt away.
As you free a tiny hand from the swaddle so she can grasp your finger, her eyes flutter open.
“She’s perfect, isn’t she?” you wonder aloud.
“Absolutely lovely,” Aaron muses, draping his arm around your shoulders. “Just like her mother.”
——————————————————————————
Meanwhile, cooped up in the waiting area, the BAU team began to grow restless.
“Maybe we should get out of the hospital and go shopping while we wait,” Garcia suggests. “I think Y/N deserves all the gifts and pretty things today.”
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” JJ questions.
“TARGET RUN!” all three women exclaim in unison.
They all wandered the aisles like kids in a candy store.
“I’m getting her balloons,” Penelope says. “Like so many pink balloons. Nobody can feel bad with that many balloons.”
“Flowers,” Rossi chimes in. “We should get her plenty of flowers to make the room cheerful.”
“We’ll have to get those from hospital gift shop,” JJ comments.
“I’d want chocolate,” Emily suggests. “Chocolate helps everything.”
“Look,” Morgan says, showing a pink stuffed bunny to Garcia. “It’s cute right? For the baby?”
“It’s perfect, Derek,” she assures, grabbing his hand. “Very cute.”
“Oh, a memory book,” Reid mentions. “So they can write down details every day.”
“Leave it to the genius to pick out a book,” Morgan jokes with a playful shove.
“Settle down, boys.” JJ cuts in. “As much as I’m sure she’ll appreciate the pretty gifts, she did just have a baby,” she reminds the group. “She needs some practical things too, trust me.” As she picks out a blanket and a pacifier, Henry begins to grow restless. As she picked up a snack for him, another idea crossed her mind.
“We should get something for Jack, too,” she thought aloud. “LEGOs. He loves LEGOs. And some gummy bears.”
A sudden ringing startles everyone.
“Ssssshhhhhhh,” Garcia commands as she puts the phone on speaker. “It’s Y/N! Quiet!”
“Hello my angel dear,” she lilts, “How are you feeling?”
“I’m very tired, but otherwise happy and healthy,” you report. “Is everyone with you?”
“We’re all here,” JJ chimes in.
“Hi everyone!” You reply. “In that case, I have news. The nurses have said that we’re allowed to have visitors first thing in the morning, if you’d like to see our newest addition.”
“Oh, wild horses could not keep us away, ma’am.” Penelope assures. “We’ll see you all bright and early.”
“Not too early, Penny,” you remind her. “You gotta give me a chance to wake up first.”
“Right, sooooo 10am then?”
“It’s a date.”
——————————————————————————
That evening, you soaked up as much family time as possible before the wave of visitors began. Aaron was a natural, as you’d known he would be from seeing him with Jack.
Watching him with the baby was quickly becoming your favorite pastime. The look of sheer enchantment on his face as he held her close and rocked her made you fall a little more in love with him every moment.
“Daddy loves you so much,” he coos to the tiny bundle in his arms.
“What?” he questions as he catches you watching.
“Oh nothing,” you reply, ruffling Jack’s hair as he slept by your side. “Just wondering how I got so lucky.”
“I think it’s me who got lucky. I thought I’d never love again. I was so closed off. I was prepared to spend the rest of my life as a single dad, doing everything on my own. Now,” he chokes out, “now I’d fall apart without you.”
“Good thing you’ve got two of us now to keep you boys in line then,” you return with a wicked grin. “She’s got you wrapped around her finger already.”
——————————————————————————
When you awoke the next morning, you were greeted by the most beautiful sight. Aaron still asleep in the recliner next your bed, his arm cradling the sleeping baby on his chest. While you hated to disturb the peaceful scene, you knew the team would be arriving as soon as the clock struck 10.
“Aaron,” you whisper. “Aaron, wake up,” slightly louder this time. He stirs awake, moving slowly so as not to wake the sleeping child.
“What is it babe?”
“The team will be here soon,” you inform him.
“Ah. I should go get ready,” he replies.
“Mama, can I hold her while dad gets ready?” Jack asks, startling the both of you.
“Oh buddy, I didn’t realize you were awake,” you say to him. “Of course you can hold her if you want.”
Jack scrambled into your lap as Aaron rounded the bed.
“Just be really careful with her bud,” Aaron reminds him as he settles the baby on his lap.
“I will dad,” he replies.
As Aaron walked away, the baby’s eyes fluttered open and she let out a small cry.
“Here, why don’t you give her a pacifier?” you suggest.
“Sssshhhh, don’t cry,” he says, giving her the pacifier, and then softly stroking her head.
“What do you think about your baby sister, Jack?”
“She’s pretty, Mama, just like you.”
“Thank you baby,” you reply. “That’s very sweet. I love you.”
“I love you too, mama.”
“And I love you all,” Aaron adds.
——————————————————————————
A short while later, a knock at the door alerts you that your visitors have arrived.
“You ready for this?” Aaron asks as he walks to the door.
“I’ve never been more ready. I just know they’re gonna be so in love with her.”
Aaron opens the door and the team flows in with their myriad of gifts.
Penelope hands off her bouquet of balloons to Derek and rushes over to hug you.
“Oh Y/N,” she gushes, cupping your face. “You look beautiful. It’s so good to see you, we were all worried sick.”
“Thank you Penny,” you reply, eyeing the room. “I’m assuming the shopping spree was your idea.”
“Oh shush woman,” she scolds. “You deserve it. We wanted your room to cozy and pretty because we heard you’re going to be here for a while. Sue us.”
“Thank you all for the gifts, you really didn’t have to do any of that,” you reply, tearing up as you address the whole room. “Just being there for us when we needed you the most was all we could ask for and you’ve gone above and beyond.”
“This is the least we could do, really,” JJ assures, softly rubbing your hand.
“Oh fine, be modest if you insist,” you reply with an eye roll. “I’d open all the gifts now, but I imagine you’re all much more interested in our slightly earlier than anticipated arrival.”
Seemingly for the first time since they came in, everyone notices Aaron’s presence and the little pink bundle in his arms.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” you continue, “the announcement you’ve all been waiting for. Introducing Miss Savannah Rose.”
“What a lovely name,” Emily chimes in.
“Thank you,” Aaron cuts in. “We would have told you all sooner but we actually just decided on it while we were here,” he says beaming down at his perfectly content infant daughter. “You can all hold her if you like.”
“I’m sure we’d all love to,” JJ replies, “but i think we should leave that you for now. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of time to spoil her rotten just as soon as she gets home.”
“Right! We just wanted to check on everyone and make sure you have everything you need,” Garcia adds.
“Well thanks to you guys, I think our hospital room is pretty well stocked. I just wish I could say the same for the nursery,” you say with a shrug.
“What’s wrong with the nursery?” Rossi inquires.
“I’m afraid that’s my fault,” Aaron admits. “Between me traveling so much for work and Y/N being pregnant and taking care of Jack, it got pushed to the wayside. I thought we had a bit more time.”
“Aaron, how many times do I have to tell you it’s not your fault?” you soothe, reaching for his hand. “We’ll figure it out together.”
“I know, I just wanted everything to be perfect for you.”
“It already is dear,” you assure him with a smile. “Why don’t you go get some coffee, you look exhausted.”
“Good idea babe,” he says, settling the baby into your arms.
“I could use a cup myself,” Morgan adds.
——————————————————————————
“Derek, I need your help,” Aaron pleads, once out of earshot of the room.
“Of course man, anything you need.”
“We’re going to be in the hospital for about a week while Y/N recovers and I’m desperate to have a nice nursery for her when we get home, but I obviously can’t leave her alone. I know it’s a lot to ask, but is there anything you could do to help?”
“Sure thing man, don’t worry about it. That’s the best gift I could hope to give you.”
“You’re the best,” Aaron replies, slapping him on the shoulder. “Just don’t let Y/N find out, okay? I want it to be a surprise.”
“My lips are sealed,” Derek promises.
——————————————————————————
That afternoon Derek had the whole team assembled in the nursery to get started.
“Alright everyone,” he begins, “We’ve got one week to make this the best surprise gift possible. Let’s make it happen.”
“What color should we paint it?” Penelope inquires.
“Got that covered already,” Derek replies while opening a paint can. “Purple. Hotch said it’s Y/N’s favorite color.”
“Oh Derek, it’s perfect!” she squealed, squeezing him tight. “She’s gonna adore it.”
“While the two of us are painting,” Penny addresses the group, “why don’t the rest of you do some some shopping?”
“Great idea, baby girl.” Morgan chimes in. “I think they’ve got the basics from the baby shower and I saw a crib and changing table in the garage, but I’m sure you guys can find things they’re missing.”
“Oh I think we’ve got this,” JJ states confidently. “Let’s get this show on the road,” she commands, herding Emily, Rossi, and Reid out the door.
When the group arrived back at the Hotchner house several hours later, the nursery walls were covered in a soft shade of lavender; as were Morgan and Garcia.
“I don’t know how you two managed to get any paint on the walls,” JJ said with a grin.
“Smile for the camera, you two,” Emily cuts in, snapping a picture on her phone as the couple hug and smile in their paint splattered clothes.
——————————————————————————
The next day conversation flowed as team was busily assembling furniture. Rossi, Reid, and Morgan worked on the crib while Penny, Emily, and JJ tackled the changing table.
“Let me know if you ladies need any help,” Morgan mentions casually.
“Oh right,” Emily grumbles, “because OBVIOUSLY the women need a big, strong man’s help, right?”
“I didn’t say that,” Derek counters. “I was just offering.”
“Oh not only will we get ours done without your help, we’ll get it done faster,” Emily challenges.
“Oh yeah?”
“YEAH!” all three women reply in unison.
“You’re on,” Morgan accepts.
“Oh you’re so going down,” Penny taunts, throwing pieces of plastic wrapping at Derek.
“Losers buy sushi for lunch?” Rossi suggests.
“Oh that could be pretty expensive for you Dave,” JJ comments. “You sure you’re up for that?”
“Ha ha, very funny,” Rossi says, rolling his eyes. “We’ll see about that.”
Two hours later, as JJ and Emily were finishing up the crib, the men came dragging in, arms full of takeout bags.
“Say cheese!” Penelope squeals as she takes their picture. “For the bragging rights.”
——————————————————————————
The next days were spent putting the finishing touches on the room.
A purple gradient butterfly mobile above the crib from JJ.
A bookshelf with a fully stocked library, specially selected by Reid. Emily places her floral covered photo album on top.
Lavender curtains with a shimmery overlay, Penelope’s contribution.
Derek’s stuffed bunny, carefully laid in a white gliding chair with purple cushions, which was generously paid for by Dave.
Derek lays a soft shag rug over the hardwood floor and drapes a plush floral blanket over the edge of the crib.
“I think that about does it, guys,” he says with a look of pride.
“You know, I bought them that photo album,” Emily comments, “it would be a shame if we didn’t put a few in there as a gift.”
“Yeah, but how do we get a picture of the whole group?” JJ wonders out loud.
“We could set a timer,” Penelope suggests.
“Yeah, but who sets the timer?” Reid asks, as he turns to see the whole group looking at him.
“Seriously guys?”
Between the camera falling over, closed eyes, and Spence not making it back before the timer, it took a few tries before there was a good group shot.
“And now a funny one,” Penny insists.
Once the photos, including the bloopers, have been printed and arranged in the album, JJ makes sure to write descriptions for each in the margins before setting it back on the shelf.
“Good job team,” Derek announces. “Our work here is done.”
——————————————————————————
After all the chaos surrounding the birth and a full week in the hospital, nothing felt better than standing at the door of your house with the love of your life and your two beautiful children.
“You ready to finally get some rest, baby?” Aaron asks as he ushers you inside the house, one solid arm arm around the small of your back and Savannah in her carrier on the other.
“Yeah,” you sigh, dropping your purse on the coffee table and slipping off your shoes. “I just wish we didn’t still have to worry about the nursery,” you groan, plopping down onto the sofa.
“About that,” Aaron says with a mischievous grin, offering you his free hand.
“What are you up to, Aaron Hotchner?” You muse as he leads you down the hallway.
“Just trust me,” he assures, coming to a halt in front of the nursery door. “Close your eyes,” he requests.
“What is going on here?” you inquire again.
“Just close your eyes please, darling,” he asks. “For me.”
“Alright, alright,” you comply, “this better be good.”
“Don’t open them until I say so, okay?”
“Yes sir.”
With eyes closed and Jack close by your side, you hear the door open and the rustling of paper inside the room.
“Alright,” he whispers, sliding his arm around your shoulders. “Open your eyes.”

Ranking Choices series by how Gay they are
A review no one asked for but an important one nonetheless
EDIT: Updated for latest books 6/29/19
The Freshman - While Zack, Kaitlyn, Becca, and Zig make this a sweet Gay Squad, the book has prominent bi-erasure if you date a man and forces you to deal with toxic Het Drama for multiple books that leaves you begging for the sweet release of diamond death to never come - 4/10 Gay but at what cost
The Crown and the Flame - Kenna is a bisexual Queen, but the fact that they don't give Dom a male li until awkwardly at the very end is tragic - 5/10 Could be gayer
Most Wanted - Look Sam is a Lesbian Icon(tm) but the narrative pushes for Sam and Dave - 3/10 Pretty Het
Rules of Engagement - Forces the MC to be with a man, doesn't give Party Twin a female li until the third book, and older brother's het drama is insufferable - 2/10 Some gay but too much straight to try
Endless Summer - MC can be a guy or a girl. Pretty gay, but the female lis are not treated as well as the male ones, also there are a lot of straight couples and the fact that Pirate Queen Yvonne ends up with a man? Tragic(tm) - 5/10 gay but could be gayer
LoveHacks - Points for the bi black man and the lesbians, but the first book paywalls its only female li to shit, only has the MC date men, and has Brooke end up with a man instead of Seerena - 3/10 Gay but too Het to handle
The Haunting of Braidwood Manor - Nothing but love a respect for my lesbian ghost girlfriend, but you have to pay to stay together (but it is only 17 diamonds and that is a bargain these days) - 8/10 Lots of lesbian love but at a cost
The Royal Romance - Largely forced to spend time with a man, has only one female li even though Olivia is literally right there, and has Penelope get with Kiara's brother even though Kiara is literally right there - 3/10 Very Het
Hero - MC can be a guy or a girl. Kenji is a BIcon but it takes a while to meet the only female li, also the Poppy and Dax het drama is too much - 6/10 Decently gay and has potential
High School Story - MC can be a guy or a girl. Besides the fact that we have to deal with the Het Tragedy that are Brian, Max, Kara, the dumb Autumn love triangle, and what the ever loving fuck is that set up your Dad with Emma's Mom nonsense, these books give a lot of LGBT+ rep - 7/10 Gen Z is the Gayest Gen
It Lives in the Woods - MC can be a guy or a girl. Gay Icon right here, we stan our Trans King(tm) King Kang, Ava and Stacy are female li legends, Lily is our beautiful Lesbian Queen, nothing like the raw gay energy of swinging a barbed wire bat at the undead - 15/10 GAY ICON
Home for the Holidays - One female LI, but at what cost? Can't play as a guy and forced to have dated one (1) man. Don't even get me started on Nick Peralta - 1/10 Literally ever Het Hallmark Christmas movie ever so RUN
Red Carpet Diaries - It feels like it should be pretty gay between the BIcon that is Seth, the Lesbian Legend that is Teja, and the absolute QUEEN that is Victoria, but man does it throw that all away to be SUPER FREAKING STRAIGHT between Matt and Hunt and paywalling the fuck out of Victoria - 3/10 RIP Gay potential
Perfect Match - MC can be a guy or a girl. Can choose to have your perfect match be a guy or a girl. A beautiful array of lis to choose from and they can all be yours because PB said Polyamory Rights! Even though there is some Het stuff with Nadia and Steve, it is actually tolerable. The President can also be a black lesbian and that's the America I want to live in - 10/10 Living my best gay thot life
Bloodbound - Even love interests whom? Sure you get two wonderful female love interests, Lily and the ultimate BI QUEEN Kamilah, but forget ever hanging out with them. This is the JAX AND ADRIAN SHOW ONLY BABEEE - 4/10 Not even a cheap Priya scene can help, PB said fuck wlw
Veil of Secrets - MC can be a guy or a girl. Ms. Harlenay is a Lesbian icon. Kate is a true BI disaster and the fact that we can only get with her romantically at the end of the book is the Biggest Tragedy of Choices - 6/10 It's fun and gay until you die alone bc you don't have enough diamonds
America's Most Eligible - MC can be a guy or a girl. You can thot it up and kiss so many people, Mackenzie is the only female li you can hang out with most of the time and there was one weird scene where Adam and Derek were super "no homo"??? - 6/10 Gay potential but oof the Het
Desire & Decorum - Only one female li, but she is Amazing. Mr. Chambers gay ass is the real MVP. God bless our non-homophobic gay ally of a dad (rip). But still this book got a lot of Het nonsense bc of the time period - 4/10 Press F to pay respect to our gay ancestors
Across The Void - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of lis with even screen time and your siblings can be gay too if they weren't so annoying and stealing your screen time - 7/10 Gay but it's hard to read
Big Sky Country - MC can be a guy or a girl. If you are a wlw, there is a lot of Het nonsense and it is hard to be with the female lis. If you are a mlm, ooh boy is this book Really Gay. Like literally every guy wants your city dick. Still there is some Het stuff - 6/10 Average; Life is what you Gay it
High School Story: Class Act - MC can be a guy or a girl. You can choose the gender of the li you are forced to have a crush on so that is nice. If you play as a guy your twin can be a Lesbian Icon and Erin can like girls but if you play as a girl it's like super het. Don't even get me started on Natalie and Clint - 6/10 Gay but oof
It Lives Beneath - MC can be a guy or a girl. Great even bunch of lis and our gay little brother is the most wholesome thing - 8/10 Good gay content minus you know all the Gore and Death
The Elementalists - MC can be a guy or a girl. Let’s hear it for Ace rep! Except the imbalance of li scenes and how Beckett is constantly forced onto you continues to put this book on thin ice, especially with the lack of flirting options for wlw - 5/10 Gay but lesbian struggles
A Courtesan of Rome -  Forced to kiss men. Female characters treated like shit. Sabina stans deserved better. But Gay brother can get his happy gay romance. Caesar/Cleopatra/MC threesome said bi rights. Parents are the biggest gay allies. The biggest disappointment is the untapped potential - 3.5/10 RIP to anyone who hoped to romance Cleopatra
The Heist: Monaco - MC can be a guy or a girl. Allows you to choose gender of one your lis. Has the potential to have 3 female lis who are all iconic. But makes you pay for not 1 but 2 women crew members so having an all women crew is a struggle - 8/10 Let's go Lesbians!
Update:
Ride or Die: A Bad Boy Romance - Everyone thinks you and Logan are dating even if you haven’t romanced him in the slightest. Gay rep in minor characters but at what cost. - 3/10 We been knew of the het nonsense since we saw the tagline
Open Heart - MC can be a guy or a girl. If you are guy this book is great. Seriously Dr. ER always down for the BJ (sorry homophobes he BI!✨). If you are woman, HAHAHAHa. Only one female li who is forced to hate you for a few chapters. Seriously Sienna and Aurora and Kyra are right freaking there just give the wlw something!!! - 4/10 Gay but could do so much better
Passport to Romance - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of love interests except for the fact that one of the female li has a boyfriend for 75 percent of the book. Still this book is dreadfully boring or annoying which is sad because Sumire and Ahmed are wonderful. - 7/10 Gay but forgettable
Wishful Thinking - Story has MC spend most time with the two male lis, but MC, Anna, and Ellen working together to take down corrupt politicians ala Charlie’s Angels is awesome! The fact that you can sleep with Ellen coming out of nowhere like a dark horse? Amazing! - 5/10 Gay potential
Nightbound - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of love interests, but recent changes make it obvious the book wants you to lean towards Nik. Barely any scenes with Vera or Katherine. There is a gay fae and rock troll love story but you have to pay for it -  4/10 A fun supernatural story PB is forcing to be the next great het romance
Platinum - Can choose for your two main love interests Avery and Raleigh to be male or female which means you are not forced to romance men unless you want to! The women are so pretty it hurts. Get to kiss beautiful women for freeeee. Shoutout to non-binary audience. Every song is bop that fills me with gay pride. Only major downfall is you can’t choose to play as a guy. - 9/10 Move over Hayley Kiyoko there is a new Lesbian pop star in town
And Sunkissed is still up in the air while The Royal Heir is on the thinnest of fucking ices.

Royals (A The Selection AU Fanfic) Chapter 4 - TheQuartzMermaid
A/N: BITCHES I’M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! This was a wild end of semester, but I survived. Here’s Chapter Four (and yeah we’re meeting some new people today. YAY). Shoutout to Tiff and Vixen for running this blog and being awesome, and a special hiiiiiie to Shadowcat204 and Mr/Ms Anonymous, thanks for the support!
Again, if you’re not familiar with The Selection, I highly recommend you to read the prologue for this fanfic. If you like it enough, you can read the original books by Kiera Cass, they’re amazing.
YOU WANT SOME ROYALS? [HEEEERE WE GO IN LADY GAGA LANGUAGE]
Royals - Chapter Four (or The one in which Katya arrives at the palace)
Katya didn’t expect so much love from the people. Arriving at Angeles, nobody paid attention to Ottaro’s sweet Ivy Winters or St. George’s lovely Lineysha Sparks. The only other girl that competed neck-to-neck with Columbia’s belle for the support of the people of Illéa was Calgary’s stunning Violet Chachki. No surprise: the girl is a Two, a well known top model.
The four girls got along really well, despite first impressions. Ivy seemed too bubbly, Lineysha was called “Liney-shy” by her mates, and Violet came across as a bitch, but ended up being really nice – for a Two, at least. Katya also liked that they were very different on the outside, but shared interests – marrying the prince was clearly the biggest of them.
Compared to other girls, they spent little time traveling. At the airport, Katya followed Violet’s lead, talking to everyone she could as she pranced down the golden carpet. Ivy and Lineysha seemed to be doing well, but now even the celebrity was overshadowed by the blonde. Yes, they called her “Kathy”, but she couldn’t blame them. Katya only knew how to properly speak Russian because of her grandpa and the hours of classes he gave to his favorite vnuchka when she was little.
“Girl, they really love you”, Violet stated as Katya entered their car, a little hint of envy evident in her voice. “As if you’re not already a fan favorite yourself, Chachki”, Ivy rolled her eyes.
“Maybe they are just excited they’re getting another princess when this ends”, Katya suggested. “Queen Danica also came from Columbia, didn’t she?”
“My grandmother said she was from Carolina”, Lineysha opened her mouth for the first time since the landing. “But she must be wrong, she’s always calling me Lindsay.”
“She was definitely from Columbia.” Ivy said, trying to remember her History classes. “Queen Abby was from Carolina.”
“Are you extra dumb or just like to act it?” Anyone could have taken Violet’s words as an insult, but the other three girls spent enough time with her to know it was just her way. “Queen Abby was a Three, she came from Baffin. Queen Danica was a Four, from Columbia. The one from Carolina wasn’t even a queen.”
“Nicole Schreave, right? King Laswell’s grandmother.” Lineysha’s face lit up as she went for the gold. “But why are we discussing the previous queens’ provinces? Does it really change anything?”
“Not for us, but sure changes everything for Miss Katya here”, Violet looked straight into her friend’s icy blue eyes. “Our queen is from your province, milady. All the eyes will be on you.”
As if she wasn’t tense enough. There would be 31 other girls for her to beat – not in the literal way, or she would be expelled. She also wasn’t that experienced with boys, not that she didn’t want to, but because she was saving herself for the prince. Sometimes, when she’s nervous, her accent thickens a lot, making her English be almost unrecognizable.
Katya was really thinking about begging to someone to take her back to her lovely house in Columbia, where she could hide in her room and pamper Polina The Cat, when the car entered the palace’s walls.
“We’re here!” Lineysha’s voice was full of joy and excitement.
These gardens look like they come from a painting, Katya daydreamed. She payed attention to every little detail, to every plant and every person working out there – gardeners, guards, horse keepers… This was the beginning of the rest of her life: a life of luxury, opulence and happiness. Oh, and also with all the princess’ duties that come with it.
“Welcome, ladies!” A small woman greeted them as they entered the palace. She was all smiles and had two cute, deep dimples on her cheeks. “I’m Bianca Del Rio, we talked on the phone.”
“The phone call of our lives”, an over excited Ivy offered a hand to Bianca. The scene was quite amusing: the lady from Ottaro had to get down on her knees to talk to Miss Del Rio, as if the older woman was a child. “I’m Ivy Winters, from Ottaro.”
“Oh, I know you, darling. I know all of you girls.” Bianca’s smile now seemed forced and unnatural. “You must be Violet, Lineysha and Katherine, right?”
“It’s Yekaterina”, Katya politely corrected the lady, also offering a hand. Bianca held it firmly. “But I get it’s a little difficult to pronounce, so you can call me Katya.”
“Okay then”, this was everything the petite woman said before taking her hand back and turning to another person. “Please, someone, please! Take Miss Ivy to station five, Miss Lineysha to station three, Miss Violet to station seven,” she started looking for an empty station, eyes shining brightly when she finally found one, “looks like station ten is free. Take Miss Katya there, please.”
For the first time since the plane, the girls were separated. A young woman named Roxxxy came over to Katya and asked her something about her image. “I want to look like I just came out of a fairytale” were the Russian descendant’s words.
Then a group of workers helped her taking out her clothes and started scrubbing the hell out of her fair, sensitive skin. The sound of water almost made her piss herself – her bladder was almost as small as Violet’s waist. Oils, lotions… By the end of the process, Katya smelled like mint – the prince’s favorite aroma.
She was taken to another station for hair care. After saying she didn’t want to change the color or length of the golden cascade that fell on her back, the stylist began working. He cleaned, conditioned, created some layers, and finished with intricate braids, placed like a headband. Makeup and manicure were next. Nails and lips were painted red, her favorite color – and, according to the girl who did her toenails, also Prince Casey’s favorite.
When she was all done, Roxxxy led her to a rack full of dresses. “Pick one for now”, she said, “they’re all yours and will be taken to your room with your other belongings. These are day dresses, but you’ll be provided to evening dresses and night gowns too.” She thanked the woman and picked a random dress from the rack. It’s skirt was red and full of flowers. The top part was white, made of fine fabric, with a hands-shaped collar detail. For the shoes, she picked a red pair of low heels. She also had to attach a little pin with her name onto the dress. When dressed, a girl followed by cameraman went straight to her.
“Miss Yekaterina, can we ask you some questions? It’s for a Capital Report special on your transformations”, the reporter said with a sweet voice.
“Sure”, Katya found herself already looking at the camera.
She was ready for stardom.

“Stiles, is that you?” Y/N raised her voice so the figure could hear her.
Somewhere in a supernatural train station, Stiles was looking at the places the Wild Hunt would be on their way to. Since there was no form of entertainment, or even someone to talk to, he just stared at the arrival board, waiting for something to change. At this moment, he was particularly missing Y/N. Her bright smile and warm eyes always made things better and that was something he wished he still had.
A small gust of wind came through and it brought a ticket to Stiles’ feet. “Stiles…” A voice whispered. Stiles looked up from the ticket and turned around with scrunched up eyebrows. Who said his name? As far as he was concerned, everyone here was in a catatonic state and didn’t speak, let alone know who he was.
“Stiles.” The voice was now clearer. The more the voice spoke, the louder it grew.
“Stiles.”
“Y/N?” Stiles said softly. He started walking forward, looking around to see where her angelic voice was coming from.
The intercom screeched as it turned on. “Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in twenty-five minutes.” Everyone in the train station stood up and began walking towards the entrance, waiting for their train.
Stiles called out her name again. “Y/N!” He began pushing through the crowd.
“Stiles.”
The people continued crowding together. “Y/N!”
“Stiles.” Her voice continued coming in flashes. “I could sit out here all night.”
“Stiles!”
“Y/N, wait!” Before anything else could happen, there was a gunshot, followed by the sound of a casing landing on the concrete. Everyone that had once been crowding stopped. Stiles looked to see where the gunshot had came from and saw the person he never would’ve expected in there.
His father.
“Give the boy some room.” Sheriff Stilinski said, lowering his gun.
“Dad?” Stiles ran to his father. “Dad!” As Stiles got closer to him, Sheriff’s smile grew. Finally they were close enough to hug each other.
Tumblr media
“Oh, I found ya.” Sheriff whispered in Stiles’ ear, the smile still on his face. They pulled away and the two just looked at each other, happy to see they were back together. “I can’t believe I found you.”
“Dad,” Stiles spoke. “I think I can hear Y/N. I think… I think I can get to her. I think she can get us out of here.” Sheriff went to open his mouth, but was cut off by a light blue-green color flashing. Stiles and Sheriff heard horses neighing, signaling that the Ghost Riders were coming.
“You need to get out of here. Don’t worry about me.” Sheriff began walking away after clapping his son on the shoulder.
Stiles followed after him. “Wait, you’re kidding, right?”
“Go. Get help. Find your friends.” Sheriff instructed.
“Yeah, and what about you?” Stiles worried.
Sheriff smiled. “We’ll find each other again.” He turned back around and faced the opening to the tunnel, prepared for a showdown with the Ghost Riders.
“Dad.”
“Stiles… I’ll hold ‘em back. Now get the hell out of here.” Stiles hesitated, not at all willing to leave his father. Stiles nodded and ran to the other side of the train station where the tracks were. Stiles jumped over the ledge and walked through the dark tunnel where the rift was supposed to be.
As Stiles ran closer, a big hole that looked like a rift opened up. The light in the center of it was so bright Stiles needed to block out some of the intense light with his hand. It was radiating with so much power the wind coming through was blowing Stiles’ hair and red flannel back.
“The night at the beach when I kissed him…” Y/N’s voice came through once again. Stiles dropped his hand and walked closer to the rift, determined to get back to his girl.
“The night at the beach when I kissed him…” Not once did his determination waver. “When I kissed him!” Stiles brought his left hand up and started pushing toward the rift because the power was so strong. “Stiles. Keep going.”
He closed his eyes, ready for whatever would hit him as he finally jumped through the rift. “I can see you, Stiles, don’t stop!”
Tumblr media
Y/N’s arm was outstretched towards the light, fully prepared for the love of her life to be back in her arms. With a hopeful smile on her face and tears in her eyes, the light began dying down. Eventually the light was completely gone, but there was no trace of Stiles anywhere. Y/N’s smile faded.
“Stiles?” Y/N said, hoping that he would round the corner, but it didn’t happen.
“Y/N…” Scott said carefully.
“Where is he?” Y/N’s voice broke. She whipped around and looked at Lydia, Malia, and Scott. “It was working.” Y/N saw the look of doubt on all of their faces. “You saw him, right?”
“We didn’t see anyone.” Lydia said sympathetically.
Y/N turned back around and looked down the tunnel. “No. H-he was here. He was right there. I know it. Stiles was here.”
In the school parking lot, the blue jeep’s headlights turned on. After the pack had found Stiles jeep, they didn’t know what to do with it. Scott said it would be best to just leave it in the school parking lot, so they did. Stiles’ hands gripped the steering wheel as the car started and he popped up in the driver’s seat. Stiles panted as he realized where he was and looked around his jeep.
Tumblr media
With the unlit candle still on the table, Scott and the rest of the pack escorted Y/N back into the room. Lydia and Malia took over so that Scott could close the heavy door. Before he could close it, Liam popped up and stopped it. “Liam…” Scott whispered.
“There’s something you need to see.” Liam panted.
“You’re still here.” Scott breathed out.
“But everyone else is gone. All of them. They’re all gone. You have to come with me.”
Scott was immediately alarmed as Lydia, Malia, and Y/N listened to their conversation. “What is it?”
Liam stuttered. “I-I can’t explain it. I have to show you.” Scott gave in and turned back around.
“Uh, all right. You guys stay here. Just in case.”
“In case Stiles comes back?” Malia asked.
“If there’s any hope, you need to keep trying.” Scott left quickly making sure the door closed on his way out.
The backdoor of the McCall house burst open as Stiles ran. This was the first place he went. “Scott? Scott!” He walked to the bottom of the staircase and called out his best friend’s name one more time.
“Scott!” There was no answer, so he went to the next place he could think of.
Y/N’s house. Just like Scott’s house, the door burst open. “Y/N!” He called out her name, hoping and praying that she would be here.
“Y/N, baby!” Stiles ran up to Y/N’s room and opened the door. Her usually very organized room was messy. Clothes scattered on the floor, crumbled up balls of paper overflowing the small white garbage can next to her desk.
Stiles walked over to the wall in the corner because something peculiar caught his attention. There was a cork board with pictures and notes pinned up. The pictures were all ones that had been empty of Stiles when he was forgotten, but he was back in the picture. All the notes were connected with a red string. He remembered that when all this supernatural stuff happened and he started looking at evidence for the situations the pack would find themselves in, he told her what the different colored strings meant.
Green was for solved cases.
Yellow was to be determined.
Blue was just pretty.
“Well, what about red?” Y/N’s fingers skimmed over the balls of yarn.
“Unsolved.”
She did the same thing he did as she tried to figure out the Ghost Riders problem. She used the same color of string for everything relating to Stiles, not remembering Stiles did the exact same thing. Stiles smiled as he realized just how much she cared for him. All that time in the train station let Stiles think. He thought about Y/N the whole time.
Stiles looked at her usually made bed to see the comforter pushed back and the sheets with black stains on them. Her pillowcases were the same way. The black of her mascara from the nights she cried herself to sleep, just wanting Stiles back, stained the white cloth. In the time he was gone, the other side of Y/N’s bed was always empty and each night she hoped the mattress would dip down and a pair of arms would wrap around her waist, keeping her safe throughout the night. But it never did.
Stiles sighed at the thought of her being so broken in his absence. Before he was taken, Stiles told her he loved her for the first time and eventually realized that she might have loved him back. His thoughts were confirmed just by looking at how different her room was, a sign that she changed without Stiles around. Y/N loved him back, and now he knew that.
Malia opened the metal door that was keeping them in the tunnels. “What are you doing?” Lydia asked. Y/N looked up with a broken expression still on her face.
“We’re gonna go find Stiles.” Malia said, moving her gaze to Y/N who had raised her eyebrows.
“Scott told us to stay in case he shows up here.” Lydia said.
Malia shook her head. “Stiles isn’t coming here. If he was, he would’ve and he hasn’t, so he’s not.” Y/N watched the exchange. “You still think it worked, right?” Malia asked Y/N.
“I know I saw him.” Y/N nodded.
“And you have a connection like no other with him, so if anyone is right about this, it’s you.” Malia said.
“Lydia, she’s right. Stiles is out there. I don’t know how, but I can feel it.”
“Then what are we doing standing here?” Lydia sighed. Y/N smiled and the three friends walked out of the room in search of Stiles. They made their way to the school and Y/N didn’t see Stiles’ jeep in the parking lot.
“Wait, where’s the jeep?” Y/N pointed out. Lydia shrugged and pulled into the parking lot since she was the one driving. They got out of the car and went to where Roscoe was once parked. The tire marks from the jeep looked darker, meaning they were fresh.
“Guys, look. These marks look fresh.” Y/N bent down and ran her fingers over the marks.
“It’s from Stiles’ jeep. It must have just left.” Malia told them.
“Without his keys?” Lydia asked with furrowed eyebrows.
“Half the time he got it started with a screwdriver.” Y/N smiled at the thought of how much Stiles loved the jeep even though it barely worked. “That means he’s here. We have to tell Scott.” Y/N stood up still looking at the tire tracks.
“We should probably tell Scott about that, too.” Malia said walking forward. Y/N looked up and was shocked by what she saw. The girls walked forward and past the sign reading ‘Beacon Hills High School’. There were train tracks on the ground leading through the courtyard and eventually past the school.
Walking over the newly placed train tracks, Malia, Y/N, and Lydia made their way into the school and they were faced with a train station. “Why is there a train station in the middle of the library?” Malia whispered.
Lydia sighed. “There’s also a train station in the Wild Hunt.”
“Any chance their connected?” Malia looked around.
“I would say high. Like one hundred percent.” Y/N walked deeper into the library.
“If there’s a train station, then there’s probably a train.” Lydia said.
“And if there’s a train… It’s going to the Wild Hunt.” Y/N said, looking at Malia and Lydia.
“They’re all going to be taken.” Lydia panicked.
Y/N shook her head. “They can’t get on that train.”
“Um…” Malia started pacing. “Listen up, everybody! We’ve all got to get out of here. We gotta go right now!” Malia yelled. No one flinched, not one person made an indication they were even aware of the girls’ presence. “It’s bad, we have to go!”
“Hello?” Lydia said to a random person to see if they would respond. Then she snapped her fingers in the person’s face.
“Uh, hello? Sir?” Y/N began waving her hand in front of a man’s face, but his expression remained.
“How do we get them to leave if they can’t hear us?” Malia frowned.
Y/N sighed, looking around. Then her eyes fell on a familiar person. “Maybe there’s someone who can.” Malia walked closer to get a better glimpse of the person Y/N had spotted.
Peter Hale.
Malia immediately stood in front of him and began yelling his name. “Peter!”
“Malia.” Y/N sighed.
“What?” Malia looked back at Y/N.
“The only way we were able to break through the hunt is with an emotional connection.” Y/N told her.
Malia sighed. “Ah, damn. Wish I could help.”
Lydia sighed and gave her a look, telling her what she needs to do to pull Peter back. “I’m not saying it. I’m not saying it.”
“Okay,” Lydia spun around and began to walk away. Y/N followed her actions, knowing what she was trying to do. “Well, I guess everyone dies.”
The sentence caused Malia to growl and Lydia looked at Y/N smirking because she knew she had won. Y/N and Lydia turned around and Malia was looking at Peter. “Dad.” Malia said with no emotion. “Dad!”
“Say it like you mean it.” Y/N told her. Malia bent down and looked at Peter who was reading a newspaper.
Malia took a deep breath and closed her eyes trying to summon enough emotion. “Dad.” She said softly. “Please wake up.” Peter’s head snapped up and he dropped the newspaper, standing up he looked at Malia.
Peter had woken up and Malia told him what they needed him to do. “Me? You want me to stop them?” He referred to the rest of the people in the Wild Hunt. “Do you know how many there are?”
“Yeah, a lot of them.” Malia said. “So get going.”
Malia grabbed his wrist and pulled him forward. “There are hundreds of waiting rooms in this train station which apparently now also serves as a high school library. It’s impossible.” Peter said, looking around to see bookshelves all over the place.
“We can try.” Malia offered.
“Where do you get this implausible optimism?” Peter asked her.
“Definitely not from my father.” Malia walked forward.
“We don’t have time for this.” Lydia interjected. The people around them began crowding waiting for the train to come.
“She’s right. We need someone to hear us.” Y/N sighed.
“I think someone already did.” Peter said from behind the three girls. A Ghost Rider walked in and the crowd backed away.
Malia had transitioned with her eyes turning blue. Lydia stepped in front of Y/N and Malia. “Get behind me. They won’t take a banshee.”
Peter scoffed. “You sure about that?” The Ghost Rider advanced towards Peter and Peter kicked him, but his foot when right through.
Y/N, Malia, and Lydia turned around to run out the door, but another Ghost Rider stopped them. He whipped the whip in Y/N’s direction, but Malia pushed her out of the way, getting hit with it herself, causing her to groan in pain.
“Malia!” Peter shouted when he heard Malia groan. He walked over to her, checking her over before passing her to Lydia and Y/N. The three watched Peter fight the two Ghost Riders for a few minutes. One of them grabbed Peter by the throat and raised him in the air. “Malia, go!”
The girls ran towards the door as Peter continued fighting the supernatural creatures. Y/N and Lydia ran out the door, but Malia hesitated. She decided to stay back and help her father like he’d done so many times for her.
Y/N and Lydia got out thinking Malia was following behind. They stopped as soon as they came into the school hallway. Lydia turned around and saw Malia wasn’t behind her. “I’m going to help Malia, you go find Stiles.”
“Lyds--” Y/N was about to speak, but was caught off.
“Just go!” Lydia ran back into the library.
Y/N sighed, not knowing where to go. Suddenly, the air around her shifted. Her gut instinct was to walk down the hall, so that’s exactly what she did.
Stiles had gone to the hospital and found Scott and Liam, finally reuniting with more people. With the help of Parrish, the three learned what Mr. Douglas was up to. He was trying to diverge the two worlds together. Scott and Stiles needed to get to the diverter in order to steer the train another way. After an unsuccessful attempt, Stiles and Scott met back up, only to get separated again.
His body hit a hard surface, which he quickly realized was a locker in the boy’s locker room. Stiles’ body fell to the ground causing him to groan. “Damn it!” He yelled. He rose to his feet with a grunt. Stiles panted as he made his way back to the door.
When the door opened, Stiles did not expect to see a Ghost Rider with a gun raised, pointing at Stiles’ forehead. Before the gun could be shot, Stiles quickly grabbed his arm moving in a way so the gun wasn’t pointed towards him. The gunshot happened, but it didn’t hit Stiles. The Ghost Rider pushed Stiles off of him.
“Scott, I can’t fight this guy.” Stiles raised his voice, hoping somewhere Scott would hear him. The gun cocked and shot, just barely missing Stiles. Stiles moved to the side so he was in an aisle of lockers. He was faced with the Ghost Rider and the gun was up against his forehead. Stiles closed his eyes, ready for what was coming.
There was a gunshot, but nothing happened to Stiles. Stiles peeked open an eye to see the Ghost Rider lying on the floor in a pool of thick, black blood. He heard something drop followed by heeled footsteps running towards him. Y/N quickly came into view. Her chest was heaving up and down. Her heartbeat grew faster in her chest as she saw Stiles.
“I didn’t say it back.” Y/N looked at him.
Stiles shook his head and began walking towards her. “You don’t have to.”
The two immediately pulled one another in for a passionate kiss. Y/N’s hands immediately flew to his face as their lips met. Stiles and Y/N couldn’t help but feel relieved to be back with each other. For as long as Stiles couldn’t remember how long he wanted to kiss her like this. They didn’t need words to announce that they were an official couple. Stiles was entirely Y/N’s just as Y/N was entirely Stiles’.
Y/N pulled away for a split second so her lungs could be filled with air. When the kiss resumed, Y/N moved her finger under his eye, wiping away a single tear that strayed. Her hands moved from his face to the back of his neck, deepening the moment they were sharing. Stiles’ hands rested on the lower area of her back. He pulled her closer, pressing his body fully against her’s.
Tumblr media
The kiss was broken, but Stiles face remained close to Y/N’s. His forehead laid against her’s. Stiles moved his left hand up to her Y/C/H hair. Y/N’s moved back to his left cheek as the two looked at each other. Her arms slid under Stiles’ arms as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. Y/N rested her hands on his back. Before fully pulling her into a hug, Stiles kissed the side of her head.
Right after, the couple fully pulled each other into a warm and safe embrace. Stiles could smell her shampoo as his face buried in her hair. The longer Stiles and Y/N stayed in this position, the safer they felt. “I love you.” Y/N mumbled.
When the words left her mouth, the grip Stiles had on her grew tighter. “I love you, Y/N.” As he returned the phrase, tears filled Y/N’s Y/E/C eyes. A soft sob fell from her mouth, making Stiles pull away from their embrace. “Why are you crying?” He wiped the salty tears that began to roll from her face.
“It was absolute hell without you. I felt so alone, I felt like a piece of me was missing.” Y/N’s voice broke. “The most beautiful part of me was gone and I couldn’t deal with it, Stiles.”
“Shh.” Stiles continued wiping her tears away. “You won’t ever have to deal with that again. I promise you, I am never leaving you again.” Stiles emphasized. Y/N nodded and wrapped her arms around Stiles’ torso, pulling him in for another longer embrace.
After the defeat of the Ghost Riders and Mr. Douglas that night, Stiles and Y/N went back to the Stilinski home. Stiles took off the clothes he'd been wearing for three months. He got into a pair of grey sweatpants and a light blue t-shirt after a very long shower and walked into his room to see Y/N sleeping on the bed in one of his flannels that fell mid-thigh.
Stiles crawled into bed next to her and she woke up. “Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.” He whispered.
Y/N shook her head and snuggled into his chest. “It's fine. I'd rather you wake me up then you not being here at all.” Stiles moved his hand and began running his slender fingers through her locks of hair softly.
Y/N hummed in content. “That feels good.” She mumbled.
Stiles kissed her hairline and whispered in her ear. “I love you.”
Instead of returning the words, the girl sat up and shifter herself so she was straddling him with her hands taking place on his shoulders. Stiles sat up against the headboard and looked up at her. The dim light of the room made her look like an angel.
She slowly leaned in and pressed her lips against his, both of their eyes fluttering shut at the touch. Y/N’s hands moved down his chest and to the hem of his shirt, slowly lifting it. Stiles pulled away and pulled it over his head.
Y/N had seen him naked many times before and every single time he somehow managed to take her breath away. Slowly, her fingertips traced every dip and curve of his abdomen and chest. She moved her gaze back up to his and he was looking right back at her intensely.
Stiles began to unbutton the flannel. He pushed it off her shoulders to see her bare chest. “God, you're beautiful.” He whispered completely awed at the gorgeous woman in front of him. Y/N blushed and gently kissed him, bare chests pressing together when her arms wrapped around his neck.
Sure, Y/N and Stiles have had sex many times, but it was never gentle and slow like that night was. Stiles never held her hand above their heads like he did that night. Y/N never let out soft moans and pants like she did that night. They'd never made love like they did that night.
After the intimate night they'd spent together, the two peacefully slept until they would awake the next morning for school. Everything in Beacon Hills had returned to normal and it seemed as if nothing ever happened. Nobody that didn't know of the supernatural occurrences in the town remembered anything that had happened over the course of three months.
Y/N and Stiles made their way to school together that morning, the smiles permanently planted on their face as they walked together hand in hand. The bell had rung at the end of they day and that signaled the end of senior year.
“Have a great summer everyone!” Mr. Croft smiled as students began packing up.
“No.” Stiles sounded panicky.
Mr. Croft spoke again. “To the seniors, I will see you at graduation.”
“No, no, no, no. That's it? What?” Stiles asked clearly disappointed.
“Last day of school ever.” Scott smiled at his best friend.
“You sound disappointed.” Y/N said from behind Stiles. He turned to look at her and sighed.
“Well, it just feels so anticlimactic.” He frowned.
“There's still the whole graduation thing.” Lydia told him.
“I’ve got to go to summer school, or I can't go to the whole graduation thing.” Malia interjected.
“Let's do it.” Scott said beginning to walk away. Malia, Lydia, and Y/N picked up following behind him.
“No, come on. Wait…” Stiles said. “Guys!” It was no use because they were already out the door. Stiles was the last one in the classroom and he looked around with a small pout on his lips.
“This can't be it.” Stiles mumbled to himself just as the light in the classroom turned off. He stood up and grabbed his backpack, walking out the door and to his locker.
Scott was already at his own, emptying out the contents. Stiles opened his and began shoving everything into his backpack. “I can't believe we're not in high school anymore.” Scott exhaled. “Kind of feels like nothing's really changed.”
Just then, Stiles looked down the row of lockers to see Y/N at her’s. She closed it and her eyes trailed down the hall and met with Stiles’. Y/N pressed her lips together in an attempt to keep her smile bursting out as she looked at the man she loved. For a moment, the two just stared at each other with soft grins on both of their faces. They didn't need words, for the looks they shared spoke loud enough.
Tumblr media
Scott smiled as he watched the exchange. “Everything's changed.” Stiles told him as he watched Y/N. He closed his locker and then looked back at Scott, walking away from the now empty locker.
A few weeks later after graduation and everything, Y/N told Stiles that she'd be driving him down to Washington, D.C. to help him move into his dorm. Stiles had gotten accepted into George Washington University’s pre-FBI program thanks to Scott’s father. Stiles had given his jeep to Scott, which was a big deal.
Y/N and Stiles had just finished getting everything Stiles would be taking with him into the trunk of her car. Stiles hugged his dad, saying goodbye. Y/N gave the Sheriff a hug as well, thanking him for everything he'd done for her in the time she’d known him. The couple got in the car and started on their way to D.C.
“Would you be okay if I made a quick stop?” Y/N asked turning her head to look at Stiles.
“Yeah, where are we going?” His eyebrows furrowed taking a sip of his Arizona tea.
“It's a surprise.” She smirked. Stiles groaned and grabbed her hand, intertwining their fingers on the center console. It took about an hour until she reached the place she had in mind.
The beach.
Y/N and Stiles for out of the car after she parked. Stiles rounded to her side and grabbed her hand. “Why the beach?”
“It's our spot, you know. We used to come here all the time.” She slipped off her shoes and held them in her free hand. The two walked down the beach until they were at the particular spot she wanted.
The sun was setting and the sky was a lilac color with pink on the clouds. Stiles pulled Y/N into his arms as they watched the sun set. Her arms were wrapped his torso with her ear pressed against his chest. His were over her shoulders, fingers drawing circles on her smooth bare shoulder.
“Stiles?” Stiles hummed in response. “Do you remember that night we were sitting down here and I asked you if you thought we'd ever get away from the supernatural?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“Do you remember how I said I wanted to see the world with you one day?”
Stiles smiled at the memory, still watching the sun on the horizon of the water. The sun seemed to kiss the waterline. “Yes. We planned on going everywhere. I still want that.”
Y/N pulled away a bit, but she was still in his embrace. She just wanted to see him as she talked. “And then after you answered, I kissed you.”
Stiles nodded, meeting her eyes. “That one kiss, it felt different from all the rest we'd shared before that. I didn't know why it seemed so diverse, but when I woke up in this spot the next morning, I realized what it was. That kiss, that's when it changed, Stiles.”
He continued listening as she spoke, never having heard her side of the story from that night. “I woke up and you were still sleeping. The sun had just began to rise, the waves were crashing together as I thought of the night before. I thought of the moles on your face,” Y/N’s words caused Stiles to smile. Y/N was tearing up as she told him her most precious memory.
“I thought of that smile that makes me weak in the knees. Then I thought of the smile that always seemed reserved for me. The bright and genuine grin that will never fail to make my heart stop. And I realized I loved you.” Her Y/E/C eyes stayed locked with his as the tears slowly rolled over her cheeks. “I love you, Stiles.”
“I love you.” Stiles whispered and brought his hands to her face, thumbs wiping her tears away. “God, I will never stop loving you, Y/N.” His tears fell slowly and he crashed his pink lips to her’s in a rush.
Before their lips could meet, Y/N took in a sharp gasp of breath. Y/N wiped his tears away just as she'd done when they kissed in the locker room and just as he'd done to her. Her eyebrows scrunched together and her eyes squeezed shut.
Stiles’ body spray enveloped Y/N’s sense of smell. Y/N pulled him in closer as fireworks went off in her head. Butterflies in both their tummies that wouldn't ever go away. Stiles always thought that Y/N was the only one who could make his heart beat fast and slow at the same time, but he'd never told anyone that.
The two pulled away and looked at each other. “How did I get so lucky?” Stiles mumbled, noses nuzzling together, breath mingling.
“You've got me thinking the same thing, Stilinski.” Y/N said breathlessly.
Stiles placed another kiss on her lips. And then another. And another. Y/N laid her head on his chest, both panting from the intense moment they shared.
