　　the great hall dining guide : five stars or food poisoning? 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　back to the masterlist　

no hunger in hogwarts. the great hall is an empire of excess, a temple to the art of never saying no to seconds (or sevenths). the long house tables are stacked with plates that fill and refill as if controlled by some benevolent, slightly overbearing god-parent who cannot fathom the concept of "i'm full."

hi, i'm emma, i shifted to my marauders dr, i'm here to yap.

　❛❛ when to show up ?

breakfast : starts at 7:00 am, but nobody with a sense of self-preservation gets there at the crack of dawn unless they have quidditch practice or are a first-year who still thinks hogwarts runs on a logical schedule. prime time is 7:30–8:30 am, when the food is still hot and everyone is too groggy to engage in unnecessary morning conversations. if you come after 9:00 am, expect half-warm toast and a few sad sausages.

lunch : served from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. 12:30 is the best time if you want first dibs on everything, but the best people-watching happens closer to 1:00 pm when people start arguing over last-minute essay deadlines. if you're running late and slide in at 1:25 pm, good luck – you're getting whatever's left.

dinner : 6:00 pm sharp, ends at 8:00 pm. 7:00 pm is the sweet spot – not too early that you look overeager, not too late that you get the rejected drumsticks and a dubious slice of treacle tart. sitting down at 7:45 pm means you're scavenging for whatever scraps are left like a victorian orphan.

　❛❛ where to sit ?

slytherin table : best for hushed scheming, power lunches, and exchanging contraband under the table. do not sit here if you can't handle judgmental side-eyes while buttering your bread.

ravenclaw table : ideal for finishing homework mid-meal. also where people pretend they're above caring about gossip while actively eavesdropping on every conversation. the back half of the table is safer if you don't want to hear someone dissecting 17th-century wandlore at 8 am.

gryffindor table : loud. expect at least one person standing on the bench telling a story that is objectively not that funny. best if you enjoy chaotic meal settings or want to be involved in something ridiculous before you've even finished your juice.

hufflepuff table : safest bet for a peaceful meal, but you will 100% be roped into sharing your food. the friendliest seating arrangement, but also the most likely to involve a group discussion about everyone's day when you just wanted to eat in silence.

professor's table : do not sit here unless you have a death wish.

　❛❛ what to eat (and avoid) .

best breakfast items : the porridge is solid (literally, if you come too late), but the best move is the warm croissants with honey. also, the lemon & apple pasties are basically a cheat code if you want to smuggle food out for later.

lunch must-haves : steak and kidney pie is better than you'd expect. if there's a soup option, proceed with caution, half the time it's delicious, half the time it's some medieval potion that smells like a transfiguration accident.

dinner essentials : roast anything is good, but the yorkshire puddings are a religious experience. also, the treacle tart is worth elbowing someone for.

what to avoid : the questionable fish dishes. boiled meant. you don't know where that's coming from, and you don't want to. also, anything neon-colored. if it looks like it belongs in a potions class, it probably does.

　❛❛ general survival tips .

don't drink the pumpkin juice if you're not in the mood for it. it's literally everywhere, and by week three, you will hate it.

bring your own condiments if you care about flavour. hogwarts food is good, but nobody in this castle has heard of seasoning unless it's one of those other-culture-nights.

do not, under any circumstances, take the last dinner roll unless you want to start an inter-house war.

sitting too close to the staff table means your meal comes with a free ethics lecture from mcgonagall. proceed with caution.

　❛❛ what is breakfast like .

if you've never had breakfast in the great hall, you've never truly lived. that's not hyperbole, that's just the facts.

and the thing is,,,,,, it wasn't just about the food. it was about the ritual. it was about getting there early, half-asleep and draped over the table, while the house elves sent up silver platters of steaming porridge and eggs and enough bacon to make even the most dedicated vegetarian question their life choices. it was about the lazy hum of morning gossip, about james and sirius trying to one-up each other with increasingly absurd breakfast combinations (once, i watched sirius put marmalade on a sausage. we don't talk about it).

breakfast started early, before the sun had fully stretched its arms, and ended when the professors decided we were done loitering. if you weren't there by the time mcgonagall sat down, you were basically on borrowed time.

　❛❛ what is lunch like .

lunch at hogwarts was less of a meal and more of a tactical battle. the great hall would be an absolute warzone of students rushing in from classes, half of them looking like they'd barely survived whatever horrors had just unfolded in transfiguration.

the food appeared at exactly midday, no earlier, no later. if you showed up late, you were fighting for scraps, and by scraps, i mean you'd be left with 99 choices for meals instead of 100. scarcity, i know.

lunch was also prime time for food theft. you could be having an entirely normal conversation and, in the blink of an eye, your pumpkin pasty would be gone. sirius was the undisputed king of this, the man had the reflexes of a thief in victorian london. i once watched him steal an entire shepherd's pie from remus's plate without breaking eye contact. it was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

　❛❛ what is dinner like .

hogwarts dinners were the closest thing to divinity i've ever known. long wooden tables overflowing with everything you could possibly want: roast chicken, yorkshire pudding, steak, treacle tart so good it made you believe in love again. it was opulence, it was luxury, it was the kind of meal you dream about when you're in some sad, muggle diner trying to convince yourself that soggy chips and watery gravy are 'fine.'

　❛❛ special occasions .

feast days at hogwarts were another level. halloween, christmas, the end-of-year banquet, these were events. these were festivals of indulgence. the house elves pulled out all the stops: whole roast turkeys, mountains of roast potatoes, rivers of rich, golden gravy, cauldron cakes stacked like towers. desserts that defied logic and probably several laws of nature. on halloween, the hall was covered in floating pumpkins and eerie green light, and the food had a vaguely chaotic energy to match (one year, the treacle tarts actually screamed when you bit into them. highly unsettling, but still delicious).

christmas dinner was something else entirely. it was warm and glowing and endless. crackers snapped, jokes were told, and dumbledore drank enough mead to make even him slightly ridiculous. it was the kind of meal you thought about for the rest of your life. it was family, it was home.

　❛❛ what's the deal with house-elves?

the hogwarts kitchen operates with the ruthless efficiency of a five-star hotel run by creatures legally bound to service.

a hundred or so house-elves live below the castle, working in near invisibility, preparing all meals and sending them up through enchanted pathways that deposit dishes straight onto the great hall tables. you cannot see the elves. you do not hear them. but you know they exist, like the wizarding world's most overworked stage crew.

you can also visit them in the kitchens. they're nice, say hi.

　❛❛ can you request food?

hogwarts was a lot of things, but it was not a restaurant. if you wanted something specific, you either made a pilgrimage to the kitchens and begged the house elves (a move so shameful it had to be done in absolute secrecy. or if you like.......really, really, really charmed them) or you suffered in silence. sirius, of course, once tried to get the great hall to serve "a proper fry-up" at dinner, only to be met with silence and what i can only describe as deeply offended energy from the floating candles.

but somehow, it didn't matter. because the food was already perfect. and now, i have to live knowing that no meal will ever come close to a great hall dinner. it's fine. i'm fine. i'll just sit here, eating my disappointing, mortal food, and pretend my soup isn't deeply depressing.

　❛❛ what about drinks?

again, pumpkin juice. an obsession, a tyranny, a strange fixation. every meal, every table, a seemingly infinite supply. there is also water, milk (cold, in small glass jugs, looking like something out of a victorian schoolhouse), and for the older students at special occasions, a sweet, non-alcoholic mead that tastes like it wants to be alcoholic but isn't. butterbeer, tragically, is an off-campus luxury.

　❛❛ is there a meal schedule? like certain things on certain days? or do they just pile every type of food on the table?

hogwarts operates on a structured but generous meal plan. weekday breakfasts, always got your staples. porridge, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages, and the occasional wizarding oddity like blood pudding for the particularly cursed among us. but sundays are for extravagant brunch spreads. croissants. kippers. jams that taste like childhood summers. it's as if the house-elves know that sunday means stress, existential whatever, dread, so they soften the blow with flaky pastry.

lunch is always dependable, usually soups and sandwiches or something hearty if you've got a double potions period ahead. dinner, though, is where the patterns emerge. mondays are classic british, shepherd's pie, roast beef, yorkshire pudding. tuesdays are usually a little more continental, pastas, stews. fridays are always a feast, usually something big and festive. then you have the seasonal changes: october brings pumpkin-infused everything, winter means more roasts, few first weeks of summer term leans into fresher, lighter meals. but yes, the mainstay staples are always available. if you want treacle tart on a wednesday, it will be there.

　❛❛ there's wizard candy and drinks, but is there any other food? i’m sure at some point wizards put magic in any food they could think of just to see what would happen.

oh, absolutely. you’re thinking like a true hogwarts student. you know someone, at some point, tried to put magic into a loaf of bread just to see if it would slice itself (it did, but then it also tried to slice other things). beyond the standard chocolate frogs and pumpkin juice, wizarding cuisine includes a fair bit of magically enhanced food. firewhisky actually warms your throat as it goes down. fizzing whizzbees lift you half an inch off the ground. there are soups that change flavour as you eat them, pies that hum lullabies if you’re up late studying. and don’t even get me started on the experimental drinks at the three broomsticks, someone once ordered a 'black hole brew' and forgot what year it was for a full hour. but the cuisine is basically muggle...just hexed.

　❛❛ do the meals cater to dietary restrictions?

100%. vegans, vegetarians, allergy-havers. you're covered. a muggleborn slytherin from third year complained about the lack of plant-based options, and the next morning, an entire section of the breakfast table was dedicated to oat milk, tofu scramble, and wizarding equivalents of nutritional yeast. hogwarts may be stuck in some medieval ways, but food evolves.

　❛❛ what happens if you miss a meal?

if you're lucky, a friend grabs you something before the food vanishes. if you're unlucky, you’re breaking into the kitchens akin to a desperate raccoon. the house-elves don't mind, though, if you're polite, they'll feed you like a long-lost child. if you're rude, they'll 'accidentally' give you a soup that turns your tongue blue for a week.

　❛❛ is there coffee?

yes, but it's wizard coffee, stronger than espresso, borderline narcotic. one cup and you're writing your entire transfiguration essay in ten minutes. two cups and you can see through time.

　❛❛ how do holiday feasts work?

absolute carnage. christmas and halloween feasts are legendary. enchanted decorations, endless courses, puddings that explode into confetti when you cut into them. the easter feast is basically a chocolate overdose. sometimes on valentine's day the desserts start murmuring love poetry. dumbledore's delighted. everyone..... horrified.

　❛❛ is there a limit to how much you can eat?

only in the sense that your body is a fragile, mortal thing. the food itself is infinite. the house-elves could, in theory, keep producing it indefinitely. but, you know, you eat four servings of steak-and-kidney pie and you're just going to be that person in the common room later.

　❛❛ do different houses have different food preferences?

subtly, yes. the great hall offers everything, but certain tables lean into certain dishes. gryffindors love big, hearty, comforting food. ravenclaws lean into the more intricate, delicate meals, think pastries and complex soups. slytherins have an eye for the finer things, often going for the more gourmet options. hufflepuffs love food that feels like a hug: freshly baked bread, warm pies, things that remind you of home.

　❛❛ are there midnight snacks?

not officially, but yes. common rooms have snack stashes. and if you're clever (or just have the marauder's map, wink wink), you can always sneak down to the kitchens. the house-elves will feed you, no questions asked. some students take it a step further and befriend the house-elves outright. those students never go hungry.

　❛❛ how does the food appear? is it just magic or is there a system?

magic, but with logistics. the food is prepared in the kitchens directly beneath the great hall, then it's levitated up and appears on the tables at the precise moment it's ready. no waiting, no serving, just instant gratification. dangerously efficient.

　❛❛ how does hogwarts source its food? is it all local, or do they magically import things?

combination of both. they have magical greenhouses and farms for most fresh ingredients, but certain things, exotic spices, imported sweets, get brought in magically.

　❛❛ are there ever surprise meals? do the house elves ever just decide to switch things up randomly?

sometimes, if there's an occasion or they just feel like it. but the menu is largely set because consistency is part of the magic.

　❛❛ are meals ever used as punishment? do detention students get different food or are they made to help the house elves prepare meals?

not officially, but some professors (like astronomy) have been known to send students to do menial kitchen work as a form of discipline. nothing cruel, just hours of potato peeling.

　❛❛ has there ever been a kitchen-related disaster? a spell gone wrong, a cauldron explosion, a food fight?

yes, frequently !!!! misfired enlarging spells, self-chopping vegetables getting too enthusiastic, enchanted ladles starting fights. house elves keep it under control, but it's not unheard of for a whole batch of treacle tart to suddenly gain sentience and try to unionise.

age (when i shift) : 17/18 — i’m planning to either shift to dec 2021 or aug 2022 , wtv my subconscious chooses

occupation : university student — double degree in law and arts, majoring in media law and craft of writing & literature, respectively

+ part time tutor for english and maths, at the same private tutoring company i went to in high school

+ (eventually) part time stock acquisition and youth advertiser at a telecommunications company near my campus which is technically a nepo hire bcs my aunt works there

+ (eventually) paid internship at the australian taxation office for the study of torts and contracts and even tho i got in genuinely bcs of my marks and my interview it also feels a little nepo bcs another aunt (a family friend) also works here.. anyway

in this dr i don’t change my name, and for that reason i’ll stick to the first letter (just like my pinned post) which is ℳ.

i’m nothing more than a normal girl, waking up each day already tired but willing myself to either go to uni or work, staying up late to catch up on the hours i spend doing other things, i have a closet full of clothes and yet i have nothing to wear, i have three of the same shades of lip gloss but they’re all from different brands so ofcs they’re not the same, i just bought a new journal but i’m yet to finish the one i got four years ago, i have ink stains on the tips of my fingers and chai stains on the pages edge of the novel i’m currently reading.

i just take every day like a new pot of tea leaves, waiting to be steeped to perfection.

౨ৎ the metamorphosis

with frayed edges and tear stained cheeks, she undid the binds of a life once lived, a life once loved, finding the holes to be too much to bear in the everlasting winter of the cold reality that was thrust upon her, opting to take the needle and thread between her own fingers and stitch up the seams, to reinforce the realm of her existence into one that can hold her hand rather than hold her down

quite often i approach the concept of reinvention with a quivering hand, unable to part ways from the comfort — or perhaps the codependency — of that familiarity.

but eventually i took a step back and realised, there is no shame in finding freedom in what already feels right . after all, our souls are not dependant on this realm or this body, our consciousness is an ever expanding universe on its own, and our power to wield it is something that we have grown to understand and control in a way that allows us to live the lives we truly desire.. that’s all that this dr represents for me.

a life that i truly desire.

i’m not that different here, i have the same name, the same birthday, the same family. but it would be a lie to say everything stays the same.

i do admit to changing my appearance a bit, i’m nothing if not a perfectionist and whilst i do think my features have potential, i actually reach said potential in this reality. my upbringing has been revitalised to be something that enriched me rather than keeping me sheltered. my parental unit is less overbearing and more understanding, my brother is less of a jerk and more of a friend, my family relationships are less immature and more genuine.

i revise my failures in education, i revise my anxieties around success and the fear of that success being unreachable, i revise my health, my athleticism, my willpower and the general energy i have throughout the day to achieve everything that i wish to accomplish, everything that i could not bring myself to take a step towards in my previous reality.

my passions aren’t shamed here, they are encouraged. not just with the wary caution of a simple hobby but rather as an actual proper lifestyle, a feasible choice to make for a career, a skill that is supported as something from which i can make a name for myself.

and in this growth, in this metamorphosis, i find stability and comfort in not just my family but also my friends — people that i lost contact with, people that i drifted away from, people that i couldn’t bring myself to keep close because of the shame in my own progression or lack thereof — i’m not an aspect of shame, i never was, i know what i deserve and what i’m capable of and in this reality, i am all those things.

that’s why this is home, even after i break out of the cocoon and open my eyes in a world that’s familiar, it will also be different, because i’ll be different — no longer experiencing the slow sluggish state of what once was, for i now have a marvellous symmetry of splendour that holds me high, the equilibrium of my reality, where the scales finally tipped in my favour, levelling out to be amiably sound, with every flap of a butterfly’s wing.

౨ৎ sugar heart cookies

it’s an inexplicable pull, an intangible tug on the heartstrings, a firm grip, a gentle ache, a deep longing. you can’t help but feel that there is something more out there for you, that there is someone more. someone that feels less like a piece and more like a whole person. someone who won’t complete you, but will help you complete yourself. two halves of a heart leaves you vulnerable when you’re apart, but when it’s two hearts beating alongside each other, the only thing left is to hold onto you

he sat beside me in his mother’s car. we were six (me) and eight (him). he sat in the drivers seat while his mother went inside the house to pick up a few things before taking the three of us (his little sister sat in the back) to a gathering of family friends.

his mother had bought us britannia little hearts. i can still remember the minuscule sugar crystals stuck to the tips of my small fingers while i dove inside the aluminium cover every few seconds to reach for the next tiny biscuit.

he asked me where i was that day — i’d stayed home from school because i felt unwell — when i told him, his first reaction was to nag me : “you know, if you’re sick, you shouldn’t be eating these. this is pure sugar.”

“yeah but i don’t want to listen to you!” — i was .. never really good at listening to people, especially not cute boys who were a little older than me.

he always seemed a bit uptight, but i guess i forgot how much he cared. because i can’t remember what happened two years later, during my last day in my old school. i remember crying, and i remember being comforted by people. but i guess i forgot that one of those people was him. i guess i forgot that he told me “it’ll be alright. i’m sure we’ll see each other again someday.”

it took us ten years but we got there.

this time, he was upstairs, in the house that was hosting a dinner among friends. i was distracted by my brother’s antics, one foot inside the threshold past the door and one foot on the pavement outside. with a flick of my head, my gaze turned up, up past the stairs in front of the door, up to the railing on the second level, a lookout point for the entrance.

he was leaning against the railing, blue button up shirt tucked into his black jeans, scrolling aimlessly on his phone, taking a quick glance to his side before doing a double take.

the silence felt like the calm before a pattering evening of rainfall, where you can feel the change in your future from the way the air seems electrified, from the way the clouds seems to churn around each other, like they’re brewing together, ready to erupt and explode into thunder, like the way you can hear your heartbeat in your ears.

he seemed familiar, he seemed important, he seemed to be everything i could ever ask for and i didn’t know why the sirens were singing in my skull but i knew in my gut he was meant to be important to me. i knew he was meant to be somebody.

it took me a second to look away, but that entire night, and every night that followed, and every day that came along with it, i can’t ever forget the sugar crystal glimmers of light in his eyes. and for every moment to come, i’ll hold the little heart biscuits of our love in the palm of my hands, because i’m not someone who listens to people very well, i don’t care if i’m not allowed, i want them . i want him.

welcome to MERMAID'S COVE, california! a bit on the tongue, the town is legally and officially listed as MERROW'S COVE, which is obviously no different, but there's a better whimsiness to the first name, don't you think? most know it as the cooler, unofficial older sister to ranchos palos verdes for their shared similarities but glaring differences: while palos verdes is a bit boring on surface and known for nothing special aside from snobby, upper-class residents and cliffside homes with beautiful beaches, mermaid's cove has all that and the added bonus of legends and myths about mermaids and otherworldly beings disguised as humans while living deep under the beaches, dating as far back as the town's foundation. decorated in seaside and glossy motifs, it's never unusual to see people coming to the town to get their next big catch, to be the first. but what if there already was a first? they say that old jack's scars and blind, opaque eye come from his own attempt to catch a mermaid, a mistake which only resulted in his hesitance around bodies of water and fishing.

it is june 2007, and summer has officially started. intro to my 2000s mermaid dream reality.

deep reef beauty, colorful fins, and saltwater curiosity are all traits presented in the one and only AALIYAH PEARLE, a pacific ocean-born mermaid who has decided to spend her summer among humans. despite being bright and friendly, she has always preferred to watch rather than interact or join other mermaids in their trips to land, but this year is different. she has decided to FEEL THE FEAR of it all and get out of the safety of THE LOST RIFT, anyway. to her surprise and amusement to others, her fears of being caught immediately drowned as a woman had profusely apologized after bumping into her. "can't she tell?" a whispered question to her older sister. all it did was get her teased for the rest of the day. aaliyah has found a love in a lot of things since being in town, but movies, fashion, vanilla flavors, and cats have her attention in particular; she is always trying to lure the street cats in alleys to her so she can pet them, mangy or soft. it only works because they sense that she's a sea creature, though she doesn't understand why they all try to lick and bite her, never hearing of the "cats love fish" fact. straying from the group she typically comes with, she prefers to wander around on her own and meet new faces, including that of old jack. so much more than what she's heard, he's a bright and boisterous old man who spews all sorts of stories for anyone who will listen, some obviously fake because nobody survives a fight with a six-hundred pound shark, but it brings a smile to her face regardless.

she is characterized as perfectly fitting THE HALCYON and THE POLLYANNA trope. CURIOUS. BRIGHT. OPTIMISTIC. LOYAL. FRIENDLY. SILLY.

as mermaid's cove continues to be swamped with tourists every passing day, the only one to catch her constant attention is RORY SEAWRIGHT. they first met while she was chatting with old jack and was surprised to learn he was his grandon, aaliyah now dying to know everything about him as she is with everyone else. a much more mellow and introverted person, rory lives in new york city while he studies marine biology. the end of his sophomore year took a nose dive due to a falling out with his best friend, alongside finding himself tired of the city, he has decided to get away and spend time with extended family. RORY is portrayed by mike faist. AALIYAH is portrayed by halle bailey for the purpose of edits.

only a week has passed since meeting, but aaliyah's fascination with rory has spun into something of a crush. she stays for far longer than she's supposed to, always sitting on milk crates with him during his breaks at marina's diner, letting him show her around odd commodity shops, walking along moonlit beaches and telling her all about his life in new york. she's just always yearning to spend just a few more seconds with him, sadly telling him she has to get going when ELIANA or MARIAH call her name, echoing throughout the stars. it's the ache in her stomach when she touches the water after a hot day spent in the sun, the feeling of nausea from how excited she is to be the first to break the surface, the blush-inducing thrill when he smiles at her. it builds and after more time has passed, she tries to break the dam and tell him she's a mermaid, but can never do it because she wants to protect her home AKA i am a mermaid and developed a crush on a human who is the grandson of a former fisher who was allegedly attacked by mermaids after attempting to catch one and i want to be honest with him about being a mermaid, but i feel conflicted.

THE INVITATION…

REI, the only female member of the American based K-pop group, ENHYPEN, is the global it girl. With her killer fashion sense, trendsetting abilities, insane range of vocals, versatile songwriting and producing abilities, there is no doubt she’ll leave her mark on this generation.

IN THAT DREAM,

Born as Reilly Iris Evermore on March 1, 2002, in Brisbane, Australia, Rei grew up in a big family. Raised in Brisbane, she was often at the beach surfing or swimming, on her family’s farm tending to the animals, or shopping with her siblings.

At the age of nine, her hobby for swimming shortly morphed into her dream of becoming an olympic swimmer. She proved this dream was very serious to her as she placed as the best swimmer on her schools swim team within the next six months. According to Rei, she grew up loving to stay busy so while juggling school and being on the swim team, she also pursued her love for dance after enrolling in a local dance studio at the age of ten. In the same year she also began writing songs with her sister, famously known as Lexi Jayde.

Rei’s love for songwriting and music definitely came from her parents because they were always playing music, no matter the occasion. Singing in the car, dancing at the dinner table, putting on concerts in her family’s living room, and even singing while tending to the farm was something Rei grew up around and also doing. She’d always gotten positive comments on her voice but decided she wanted to be even better at the age of twelve, so she asked her parents if she could get vocal lessons. Rei stated the lessons made her more confident in her singing abilities and broaden her range of songs she could sing.

In 2017, she along with her childhood best friend and member, Jake Sim, realized they wanted to pursue music after watching BTS perform at the American Music Award’s. After this, Rei attended her dance classes, singing lessons, and continued songwriting more frequently.

WHAT VISION AWAITS?

In 2018, Rei was named the youngest olympic gold medalist after winning first place in the women’s 200 meter freestyle swim at just sixteen. Praised for her performance and humbleness, Rei, known then as Reilly Evermore, was a name known all across Australia.

In 2019, Rei announced she would be leaving her swimming past behind and reaching for a new dream in music. Rei worked hard in both dance and singing classes for months while also working towards graduating. In May 2020, a few weeks after graduating from high school, Republic Records announced they would be holding global auditions for a global K-pop group they’d be forming.

Naturally Rei auditioned and passed. She beat 998 other Australians who auditioned. You may be wondering who the other person who passed was and that would be none other then her childhood best friend, Jake Sim. Rei and Jake flew to Los Angeles a week after getting the news of passing their auditions. In Los Angeles, they met the other members, Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Riki.

After training for three months to test their chemistry and skills, they started working towards their debut with the label. After two months of preparing their release and themselves, ENHYPEN debuted on November 30, 2021.

BURNING BRIGHT, ACROSS THE WORLD…

Their debut EP, BORDER : DAY ONE, skyrocketed in sales after their TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Their choreography along with their vocals for the title-track, Given-Taken, stole the hearts of fans and non-fans alike. Fans were very intrigued by the group because while all the members had their specialities, which were showcased during their documentary, Walk The Line, they all shined bright on stage, together.

With their second release, BORDER : CARNIVAL, in April 2022, ENHYPEN dived deeper into their vampire concept which drew more people in. Their sales heightened even more and have continued to do so ever since. In 2023, ENHYPEN attended and the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. In the following year they won their first Grammy for Best New Artist then performed their latest song at the time, Future Perfect (Pass The Mic). On April 12, 2025, ENHYPEN performed at Coachella and achieved the second highest YouTube livestream numbers for the festival with 250,000 total viewers.

Starting in August, they will embark on their second world tour, “Fate”, which will cover North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.

OH, I LEAVE QUITE AN IMPRESSION!

Rei has continued to prove just how determined she is while being in ENHYPEN. She has helped write and produce all of the groups songs and has even helped write and produce for other artists such as Tate Mcrae, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Boys World, Chappell Roan, FLO, and Addison Rae.

Rei being known as the best songwriter and producer in Hollywood and as the global it girl, has artists, fans, and even non-fans praising her left and right. While her talents are show-stopping, so is her face card. Brands have been after Rei since she debuted but she didn’t accept her first brand deal until May 2021 with Calvin Klein. Since then she has stacked up brand deals with Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood, Coperni, Chanel, and rhode.

Talents and looks can only get you so far, so what about her personality? That of an angel. Ask anyone! Dubbed “Nation’s Best Friend”, Rei is noticed for treating others with such kindness as if she’s known them for years. She also gained this title by being connected with so many celebs and each of them having nothing but nice things to say about her. This coincides with her title, International Dream Girl, which she’s had since debut. It sparked by fans and artists across many different platforms saying they were automatically drawn to Rei, and that the atmosphere around her was beautifully alluring and beyond anything they’d ever seen.

Rei’s love for music has taken her a long way from her family’s farm in Brisbane and although music wasn’t her first love it certainly is her last along with a certain member of her group, but we’ll save that for later.
