The buzz and hype for this anime is insane and all my friends are obsessed with it, so my expectations were so sky-high that I felt like there was no way it could met them. And yet, not only did it meet them, it actually surpassed them in every single way. The story moves at the perfect pace and pretty much all of the characters are unhinged and deranged in the most charming of ways. Also, the world-building feels so refreshing, even though we've had lots of animes about demons in the last few years. But, as good as the material itself is, the thing that I truly need to highlight is the animation and the aesthetic. Pretty much every episode feels like a 20 minute long movie, that's how amazing it is. Everything about it is so cinematic and stunning, seriously. I can't wait for the second season, and it's hard to accept that we probably won't get it until 2024. But if that's what they need to maintain the same quality level, so be it.

ANIME REVIEW | "Chainsaw Man" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade

There was plenty of hype for MAPPA’s adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man the moment it was announced. With it being one of the hottest Shonen Jump properties, the excitement of seeing the likes of Denji (Kikunosuke Toya), Makima (Tomori Kusunoki), Power (Ai Fairouz), and Aki (Shogo Sakata) fully animated drew a lot of hot anticipation. Nearly two years since it was announced, MAPPA’s take on Chainsaw Man finally hit the airwaves. What viewers got wasn’t the Troma-like schlockfest we all were expected; we instead got a Martin McDonagh presentation.

Shockingly, it still works, in ways that longtime fans couldn’t even begin to imagine!

Like the manga (which you can read every one of my reviews of its respective volumes), Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a teen whose father left him in debt to the yakuza. After spending his time killing demons with his chainsaw dog Pochita (Shiori Izawa), Denji is soon betrayed and fed to an army of zombies. Pochita gives Denji his heart, and the phenom known as Chainsaw Man is born in the chaos. Soon after defeating the zombie hoard, Makima arrives to give Denji a choice: join her Devil Hunters crew, or die.

What starts as your standard Weekly Shonen Jump fare instead involves into a superhero story for the grown-ups to enjoy. Although Chainsaw Man has shared space with the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, it is by no means a narrative for that same audience. Where those other manga have its long-term goals like becoming the #1 hero, Denji’s goals are rather simple. He wants to eat toast every breakfast, know what a woman’s breast feels like, and just live for the sake of living. After all, thanks to his dead deadbeat dad, Denji’s never had the chance at a normal life until now!

However, becoming a chainsaw-wielding devil with the pull of a ripcord is far from the norm, and neither are the jobs that Public Safety Decision have to do. Devils run amuck in this world, to the point where it’s nigh impossible to keep them hidden. They destroy towns, homes, and people’s lives with a snap of their fingers. And the one that’s most notorious is the Gun Devil, which Devil Hunter Aki has a score to settle with.

Chainsaw Man Sets Episode Order for Season One

The Chainsaw Man anime is set to get in on the action as part of the packed fall 2022 anime schedule, and the series has decided how many episodes it will hold! The anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's original manga series is probably the most anticipated release of the year overall, and ahead of its premiere, fans have been given a lot of information about what we can expect when the series debuts. Huh. Luckily, that includes how long this first season of the show will last.

The Chainsaw Man hoodie is a great way to show support for your favorite anime characters. It is also a comfortable and stylish piece of clothing. The hoodie is made of high-quality materials and is machine-washable. It is available in a variety of sizes and colors.

Chainsaw Man took the stage during a very exclusive world premiere in Japan, where he announced that a new ending song would be added to each episode of the series. It's certainly an innovative way to announce this kind of action adaptation production, but what's important is that the first season of Chainsaw Man will have a total of 12 episodes. That means it will end its run by the end of the year along with several other fall season releases.

With the episode count confirmed, it was announced that Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Maria Ise as Himeno, Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama, Taku Yashiro as Hirokazu Arai, and Kenjiro as Kishibe. Tsuda is the new member of the cast. He will join the already confirmed cast of Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Tomori Kusonoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa and Fairouz Ai as Power. Premiering on October 11, Crunchyroll had previously confirmed that they would be streaming Chainsaw Man to international fans outside Japan.

In conclusion, the Chainsaw Man poster is a great way to make a statement. It is bold, eye-catching, and sure to get noticed. If you are looking for a way to show your support for the cause, this is the perfect way to do it.

Ryu Nakayama will direct the new anime for MAPPA Studio. Hiroshi Seiko is in charge of the script, Kazutaka Sugiyama is providing the character design, Tatsuya Yoshihara is the action director, Kiyotaka Oshiyama is the demon designer, and Kensuke Ushio is the composer. As for what to expect from the new series, Crunchyroll teases Chainsaw Man: "Denji is a teenager who lives with a chainsaw demon named Pochita. He's living on the back burner because of the debt left behind by his father. Pochita's paying off his debt by collecting demon corpses along with him. One day Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and replaces him as the "Chainsaw Man". is resurrected, a man with the heart of a demon.
