System info:

We go by "Eden" Collectively here. We're technically fine being called by most of our names, but for simplicity, if you're talking about us as a whole, Eden is fine. We're bodily almost 17. A good bit of us feel older than the body, but that doesn't mean anything since our body is 17. He/they/it is fine when talking about us collectively. "She" makes some of us unhappy though, so only use that with those who actually use it.

Traumagenic, as far as we know, but can't pinpoint any disorder. Don't know when it started. We just know that it might have started along with our hallucinations, and that it's most prevalent in super stressful situations.

Somewhere in the median spectrum? Ig? Not sure.

We're good being called by a singular "You" or a plural "you all". We don't typically tag posts with our front unless we're sure of who it is.

We've got pretty bad memory, a pretty bad anxiety disorder, bad processing, ADHD, and something else. We also hallucinate (they're not super bad, but they're noticable). We like talking to people, we're just shy and awkward. I'm sorry if we mess up in conversations. We also have intrusive thoughts, though, it's better than it could be.

We kind of share this experience. Sort of. We've kept the same alters for... A while? I dunno when this started. all I know is that we haven't really experienced a new guy.

However, we get something similar with our hallucinations. They have sources, sort of (Ex: The Slenderman looking guy is obviously from Slenderman. Melody is sourced from a bunch of different horror media featuring ghost girls, like the ring.)

We've noticed that they appear with stress. And we're stressed pretty frequently (IRL events and an anxiety disorder that feeds itself). And we have trouble watching the horror media we like without having to log a brand new hallucination to bring up to our family. Oh no, a new ghost person who lives in our house and stares at us, all because we raised our heart rate a little too high when watching the scaries.

Ex *Day after watching something very spooky*: "Hey Dad, I've got a new ghostie guy. He's a man who's in a blanket and he was in my room, and at the bottom of the stairs."

So... Even if I don't get what you're talking about exactly, I can at least empathize. I think other people should learn to empathize too, even if they don't experience anything like it.

i know theres a lot of jokes made about systems who split the entire cast of things 2 days after watching them (as in, jokes made by the systems who do that, not at expense of) (bc yk i literally run introjectheavy-cultureis lmao i get them a lot) but can we just seriously talk about that experience for a bit?

its something we often criticized ourself for - we just cant seem to watch something or read something without someone showing up.. but then i reframed it in my mind. we personally are a DID system and most of our system is traumagenic, and i realized one day. we probably get introtives so quickly because we are constantly stressed (id be nervous about revealing this but whatever, everyone knows). of course! im always running wuth one hand over the "make another alter" button and we are notoriously bad at actually keeping alters with no sources around (another post, another post).

what im saying is.. that particular experience may not relate to you but, if you can, try to reframe how you talk about and view this habbit of yours if you share it with us. even if you dont view it the same way we do, no longer treating it as just a joke or an annoyance has begun to help.

One time I (Trans guy) thought to myself "Wow, I wanna be a trans girl" because they have such awesome vocal range, and I wanted to be a voice actor. But, that thought confused me because "Wait a minute, I'm a trans guy?? What??? I don't wanna be a girl why am I thinking this" And proceeded to ignore that though until now, realizing "Oh. That's why. There's a trans girl in my brain that's not me but also me at the same time" (I'm plural)
