Giran came across Dabi several months after the incident on the hill via a small group of villains asking for medical supplies. He was healed as much as possible and was in the company of this group for a short period of time until they were arrested by heroes.

Dabi ended up as Giran's debt collector to, ironically, pay off his own debt to Giran after Cremation backfired on him for a second time.

Giran holds the "second incident" over Dabi's head a lot.

how do you write dabi's facial expressions?

Uh, I guess it'd be easier for me to show you through a list of things to consider? I hope that format is okay with you, anon!

Things to consider when writing Dabi's facial expressions :

The first step to writing facial expressions is studying the setting and the character. How does he respond to stress, joy or sadness in the manga? What are his face features? How he responds with different people?

He only shows his most extreme expressions when it's about the Todorokis and his dorky side when he's alone with the League. So you must consider how many people are around him and what he thinks of them.

With the people he trusts he's way more open in his expressions: he can show annoyance in a comical way, embarrassment or a kid-like smugness.

To strangers he usually looks aloof or maniac, depending on if he wants a fight or to fly low.

Remember: He's a showman.

Dabi's burns extend the natural lines of his lips, making it so it's easier for him to look like he's constantly smirking.

He has a crazy variety of smiles, tho! Dabi is legendary for his smiles. There are the ones that promise death and are meant to scare and intimidate. There are the annoyed ones. The pained ones, full of desperation, when he's confused or in denial. There are the sad ones when he gets melancholic. There are the overjoyed crazy-for-blood ones when he's so close to getting revenge. And of course, the trademark smiles of the older sibling who is there to tease and bother.

The secret is in the eyes and eyebrows! His eyelids are often downcast, like he's bored all of the time. He's very expressive with both his eyes and eyebrows, so enjoy mixing the width and tension along with the mouth!!! Don't be afraid to go too far!

You need to consider the staples. If you're writing from Dabi's pov, he might be used to them for normal facial gestures, but he might also become more aware of their existence if he is stressed. Why, do you ask? Well, certain uncommon expressions can force the staples to pull as his skin in ways that are not usual.

He cries blood instead of tears, so you can also describe the difference. Blood is warmer and thicker than tears. Tears release different components depending on the emotion the person is feeling, but blood doesn't. It limits the reasons why Dabi might be crying blood.

No matter what, you have to write him as someone who wants to stay unknown or away from others. Dabi hides a lot behind his expressions. I'd advise you to pay attention to his thoughts or how little others know of him when writing his facial expressions. It must be a mask of some sort, showing that Dabi is mysterious and that he works overtime to build his persona.

Consider heavily the point of view. We saw in the manga that Toga can look past his mask and see what his real intentions are and that she's not afraid to call him out. You need to consider what the other characters know of him and the narration type. Do you want the readers to know the truth or do you want to use the povs to your writer advantage?

Since meeting Atsuhiro you’ve taken note of his love for things of grandeur, it came natural as he himself was a showman. Whenever you went out and passed storefronts he’d comment about the outfits on display. He even slipped in to buy you an outfit whilst Toga distracted you one time. You knew how much he loved fashion, so when you found out that he’d be leaving for a week-long mission you knew how you were going to spend your time. The sadness you felt when he left was soon replaced with determination as you took it upon yourself to design and sew him an outfit. You had an idea of the general things he liked and you knew what fit you liked him best in, so combining the two you quickly sketched out what you had envisioned. You made sure to ask Jin for the proper measurements to ensure your work would fit him. You worked feverishly for days and after many trips to the local fabric shop, you were putting the finishing touches on it. You decided to monogram his initials into the tag to make it extra special. You ironed it once it was finished so that it would be ready when Atsuhiro arrived tomorrow. You debated laying it out in the bed, but thought hanging it in the closet would be best, just in case he was too tired and just wanted to rest when he got home. You heard the door open and the footsteps that followed. Shigaraki went straight to his room not even saying hi, Spinner waved as he made his way to the fridge, Dabi just glared at you before walking past, but there was no sign of Atsuhiro. Your heart began to pound in your chest, you walked to the door and stuck your head out, maybe he was just lagging behind. Your mind immediately started running worst case scenarios, you fought back tears. “Damn, you’re annoying. He didn’t die or anything. Compress stopped to get something, he shouldn’t be too long.” Dabi said before exiting the room. You sat back on the couch, knee bouncing as you waited. It felt like hours had passed before you heard the door open, immediately you perked up and turned toward it. 

“Ah! There you are, Atsu!” You said throwing your arms around his shoulders. 

“I’m sorry, were you worried? I thought one of them would’ve told you.” Once you were down clinging to him, he placed the bag he had in his hand on the countertop. 

“What’s in the bag?” 

He motioned for you to close your eyes and you followed suit. “3, 2, 1, open!” You opened your eyes and saw a small cake, a confused look on your face. “Oh come on, that mission was hell, let us celebrate that nobody died.” 

“Well, if we’re celebrating, let me go get your gift!” You hurriedly went to retrieve what you’d been working on. Holding the hanger behind your back, you motioned with one hand for him to cover his eyes as he had you. He let out a light laugh as you counted down, “3, 2, 1, open!” You were beaming as you thrusted the hanger towards him. His eyes grew wide, his jaw dropped, at a loss for words. He reached for it and took it gingerly from your hand. He took the pants from the bottom of the hanger and held them up to get a full look. He ran his hand over the back pockets to feel for quality and check their size. He looked at shirt and jacket, 

“Darling, where’d you get this?” 

“I made it.”

 “You what?” 

“I made it! Even sewed your initials on the inside of the shirt pocket. See?” You opened the breast pocket to unveil his initials in gold thread. 

“Thank you. I don’t know what to say. Wow. I–thank you.” He sounded like he was gonna cry, like the way he sounded when you told him you loved him for the first time. 

“You’re welcome, my love.” The next day he planned a date night for you two, he wanted a good excuse to wear it. Before you two left, he made it a thing to parade around and tell all the members that you made it. He really did appreciate you working so hard on it and it was easily his favorite outfit in his wardrobe now. This led to Dabi rolling his eyes and Toga exclaiming how you needed to make her an outfit too. You made a mental note to start drawing up plans for her birthday, but right then you focused on how good Atsuhiro looked and how great of a night you two were going to have.

The Compress Analysis (1/?)

Introduction

I’ve seen quite a number of people put forth their Mr.Compress analysis, so I figured I might as well pitch in. Do note that while I will try to keep this as canon analysis-y as I can, I may very well veer into “what I wanted him to be as a character” or “this is more headcanon than canon” territory. Since he’s a character with less than satisfactory coverage in the canon (when it comes to his actual character) I’m totally allowed to do that, of course (because I said so.) So, what is it exactly that leads a man from a relatively straight path to the depths of…whoops, wrong script. So, what went into the guy? What devious mixture of character traits makes up one Atsuhiro Sako, and how has the way in which those traits were fostered or hampered in his life made him into the man he is today?

Part Ⅰ: The Personality

We all know Mister to be a fellow who has quite the way with words. He’s humorous even in the midst of battle, has a knack for complaining, and loves a good monologue. But, besides his showman like attitude (which is mostly a byproduct of Kent Williams’ playing of him in the Dub anime, and not nearly as present in the Sub/Manga…), who is he really? Below the flamboyance and keen intellect, he’s a reckless and cowardly individual who, despite his claims, is quite prone to getting attached and leaping into the fray for others. He chastised Twice for getting attached, and yet he jumped at overhaul– yes, the guy who makes people explode with one graze –without thinking for the sake of his peers. Perhaps he had only wanted to preserve the league because they were his best ticket to furthering his own goals, but its still one step (or leap?) closer to him getting more connected to those bastards.

We know he’s a coward, though. That’s pretty common knowledge after his lines throughout the various arcs in which he got into a scuffle or two. The aim of this post is to delve a bit deeper into that sort of thing. He’s a prideful, cocky man with way too much apparent confidence in himself. We can even see that in his chasing of the Harima legacy, which is objectively much larger than just him, and quite possibly out of his reach. And yet, he pursues this unfeasible goal as if it’s something he can accomplish (with the league’s aid). But more on that later. What a lot of people miss about Atsuhiro is his rudeness. On multiple occasions he asks things of others without so much as a please, ridicules even his allies, and overall acts quite rashly for a man who seems so mature. That’s not to say that he isn’t mature in comparison to the league, but he does have his fair share of faults that make him wildly imperfect. On the other hand, he borders on being mildly pacifistic in his actions. He’s not a man who relishes in violence, misery, or even petty theft. He’s a fellow who lives for the big, flashy, ideal spectacle, and not so much the more cruel villain-y traits (again, more on this particular stuff in another section)

Enough about all his flaws, though. He’s a man who, while being a crook, holds righteousness in rather high regard. It’s one of his main goals in life, after all. He’s extremely loyal to his ideals to a stubborn degree, which makes him be able to persevere through the pitfalls of society and take things into his own hands (or hand). Personally, I don’t really see him all that malicious in his actions. He maims/kills people out of self defense from what we’ve seen, and doesn’t cause harm unless warranted or otherwise necessary. And even then, he hardly seems to relish in it. He can be rude, but that doesn't prevent him from being warmer with the league on occasion. This is especially true for Toga, AKA the youngest member of the league (that saw it past their debut arc. Sorry Mustard). He's vaguely parental but again, in a reluctant manner that still tries to reject attachment. He gets along with Dabi surprisingly well and even acts as a voice of reason for the burnt up gentleman. But, he has no particular interest in clearing up his daddy issues or anything.

A big thing that comes to mind for me is "what makes Atsuhiro excel in his field? Why hasn't he been caught after all this reckless cockiness' Well, for one, he’s a deceitful fellow who keeps all his cards close to his chest even with all the boasting. He can talk a hero's ears off, but seldom does he actually reveal any personal info in doing so. As seen when he first debuted, the man has good strategizing skills and is armed with an innate ability to misdirect and distract audiences from his true intentions/actions (unfortunately, we don’t see nearly as much of this as I’d like). He can even shield his own emotions with both an expert handle on his body language and tone. But besides that, he really hones in on the concealment of his facial expressions provided by…

Dabi x AllMight’s Quirkless Daughter Reader - Caught

Pure. Fuckin. Angst.

Was listening to Rewrite the Stars from the Greatest Showman while writing this so expect the vibes to be heavy 🙈

Fuck. Fuck.

How could the plan go so terribly? You’d gotten the League all the information they needed. You’d preformed perfectly- as had they. But here they were. Trapped in holding cells, under consistent surveillance.

Somehow, in all the chaos, no one was any the wiser about you being apart of the League. After all, you were All Might’s perfect, feeble, quirkless daughter.

Not like you’d be capable of that anyway.

So here you were, tasked with bringing your former friends their dinner. The surveillance was heavy, so you had to be careful not to let anything slip.

The rooms were quirk-proof, a precaution to keep you safe. What a joke. They were worried the League members would try to attack you. Ridiculous.

After making your rounds, Dabi was all that was left.

You’d been in a tough situationship with him for a little over a month now. Stolen kisses and drunken escapades- it was fun. But that’s all it was. All it could ever be. Feelings…needed to stay out of it.

You scan your ID, and the door to the cell opens.

“Dabi.”

His head turned lazily around at the sound of your voice. He was frail, probably due to the slop you’d been forced to feed him daily. That tacked on with the fact he only got two a day, as well as him not getting much physical activity, made his stature almost ironically fitting.

He was on the floor, legs bent doing sit-ups. His shirt was on the other side of the room.

The cameras were in all four corners, as to avoid having any blind spots.

“Well hey there, Doll Face.”

You sighed, setting his food on the table and turning to leave, albeit reluctantly.

Suddenly he was behind you, hand gently rested on your wrist.

“Wait.”

You knew what time it was. The surveilling guard was kn his dinner break right now, and you had maybe five minutes. Maximum.

“Y/N. Please.”

Dabi knew what time it was too.

“Dabi…we can’t.”

You knew exactly what he wanted. A conversation. You couldn’t look back at him, not when you know he had that look in his eyes. Not when he’d been trying to have this conversation for weeks now, and you’d avoided it before they all ended up caught.

“Please…”

He sounded so broken though. So…done.

Gently, he pulled you to him, hugging you from behind. You closed your eyes, reveling in the feeling. In another life, maybe another world, he’s be hugging you like this from behind after he came home from work. You’d be cooking dinner, the house would smell of marinated chicken and potatoes.

Just one last time, you decided. This was the last time.

“Y/N. Listen to me. You need to stop running. From your father, from this, from us. From me.”

Your eyes fluttered open, bringing you back to reality.

“That’s not possible, Touya.”

He sighed, turning you around and lacing your fingers in his. He brought his other hand to cup your face.

“All I want to do, Y/N. All I want to do is kiss you. We could do it, you know? Get out. Get things back to how they used to be. You and me. Screw the others. Screw out fathers- screw society. Y/N, we could leave. Please, fuck,” he looked into your eyes when you almost pulled away, “stay with me.”

You sighed. No time like the present, right? “Touya… I’m not yours.” Your voice broke heavily. “I don’t deserve you- you don’t deserve to be trapped with someone like me. I’m going to get you all out of here…but I won’t be coming with you, Touya. Eventually you’ll see- I’m not the one for you.”

His eyes watered, as did yours. He wasn’t physically incapable of crying, but you were. You had to wrap this up, before it got any more difficult.

“Touya…Dabi. I can’t come with you.”

His eyes searched yours. “Y/N, since you walked through the door of that bar I have loved you. I love you. Please, fuck, don’t do this.”

“Touya, everything is keeping us apart. Our lineage, society, hell even what we want out of life. It’s impossible, Touya.”

“It’s not.”

He squeezed your hand harder, and you looked back up to him. “Y/N, it’s possible. You and me, baby,” his voice cracked, “we can do this-”

“No, we can’t. Do you know why I joined the League, Touya? I wanted to be free. I was sick of society walking all over me and others for things we couldn’t control. There are things we can’t do, Touya, and tearing down all of society? That’s one of them. I’ll get you all out of here. But after that…”

“Y/N-”

“After that you’ll realize, Touya. I’m not the one meant for you.”

“Y/N, all i want is you.”

“And all i want is you. But, Touya,” a sob slipped through, “I can’t have you.”

He pulled you close, kissing you, This was different. Tears mixed with blood and feelings clashed. For him, this kiss was hope. For you, it was goodbye.

You pulled away. “Touya. I can’t have you.”

He looked at you, eyes searching yours once more. “Baby…Y/N, please.”

“Goodbye, Touya.”

Your hand slipped from his, and you made sure to shut the door behind you. You broke down onto the floor, back against the door. Sobs wracked your whole body.

A week later, the footage was leaked to the public. The night you were meant to break the League out. Those left in this fucked society decided, you were to be executed.

Your last thought, as you faced the blood stained wall, was that if you’d only been faster. If you’d only seen through what the heroes were planning that day. You could have stopped this.

The footage was broadcasted around the nation, All Might’s child’s execution. It was ironic, in a way. A real fuck you to society.

As the executioner cocked his gun, you thought to yourself. Maybe this was written in the stars. Maybe, if you’d tried harder. If you’d been better. You and Touya could be back with all the League in a safe house right now. If you fought, now, you could have him. You could try to fight the guard, try to get to him.

You could have him.

All Might’s daughter and Endeavors son. What a ridiculous notion.

Just before the bullet hit, your last thought hit you and your vision blurred, tears finally falling.

Not like you’d be capable of that anyway.

Tomura Shigaraki: I think, as much as I am not fond of this, that Shigaraki would enjoy listening to edgy music (and I think he would do this specifically to appear edgy). So, stuff like Marilyn Manson, Mindless self indulgence, Nine Inch Nails or Insane Clown Posse...

Dabi: Alternative rock, post-punk or even just indie, I think he's got that TR/ST, Interpol, The Neighbourhood or even Chase Atlantic music taste, because I think he's into the mood and intensity of their songs.

Toga: Again, very fluid, as anything with Toga. It could range from many different genres, but her main go-to artists could probably be Florence + The Machines, Kikuo, Lykke Li or Melanie Martinez (probably her older work though, like Crybaby or K-12).

Kurogiri: I think Kurogiri likes to listen to calm, perhaps even emotional music - so classical music it is. Erik Satie, Antonin Dvorak, Antonio Vivaldi, Pyotr Tchaikovsky or Bedrich Smetana.

Mr. Compress: Mr. Compress would listen to something that matches his drama-oriented nature, so I think he'd be a fan of musicals - eg. Hamilton, Les Misérables, Wicked and obviously The Greatest Showman.

(present mic x mr compress) both flamboyant showman with unique quirks. both hide their faces/eyes (mask and glasses), wear unconventional-for-hero/villain work outfits just because they fit their style (a suit/leather jacket for battle, really? so hard to move in both), and look COMPLETELY different outside of said outfit to hide their identity from the public. i can imagine compress tuning into mic's radio show, or mic enjoying compress' sleight of hand tricks at a bar. i don't know if they'd ever be Actual Boyfriends (considering twice and aizawa, respectively) but i could see a LOT of over the top flirting. bonus points if it's traitor!mic, the two clicking immediately, dabi hating mic but compress defending him, getting drinks together after league meetings, venting when shigaraki does questionable things.. stuff like that. gimme your opinion! my fiancé came up with the ship and he sold me on it.

While yes I don't think they could ever be in a relationship, I can see them being good friends. Their exuberant personality (well this is mostly Mic), their way of dressing, their age, they all go well together.

I can totally see Mic screaming out of his lungs like he always does while talking about something, the whole League extremely pissed off and Compress being like "Sorry, he's like this." while patting Mic's shoulder aw. Or picking some clothes together, Hizashi would choose the weirdest things and Atsuhiro being like 🤔mmm and then giving him a fucking tuxedo "Sir you at least have the money to buy it."

And don't let me start about choosing the music, I know damn well Mic would choose something loud af and then Compress changing it to some classic shit 😭

But oh I think them being drunk together would be the best thing, Atsuhiro would forget about being so composed and start behaving like Hizashi lol.

Panic Attacks

Part One Golden eyes were focused on mismatched lips moving in front of him. They way the moved and curved to articulate certain words. Words that were no doubt coming from those lips, but fell onto deaf ears. Or rather, muffled ears. Hawks prided himself on his keen hearing, but right now even with the amount of attention he was putting into Dabi’s information giving, all the mans words sounded muffled. He was trying to absorb the information, truly the Hero was. But there was also the sound of his heart…that was constantly increasing. Was it too fast? No, it wasn’t too fast, it was normal for him. What about that clammy feeling in his hands? No, that was just because of his gloves and the humidity today. …Right? It had to be, it couldn’t be anything else. Okay, then what about his shaking muscles? The urge to curl into himself tightly, wings around him defensively? Tired- he was just tired, that was all. The Commission had been running him ragged lately, and his sleep had changed to keep up with Dabi’s schedule. That was all, he was absolutely fine. There was nothing wrong with him at all- “...Chicken.” Dabi’s voice was suddenly right in front of him, and Hawks nearly leapt out of his skin. It took every ounce of his training to control his reaction, and instead give a slow blink. Then, that showman smile. “What’s up, Dabs?” Though he kept his tone light, Dabi was no fool. He would cross his arms over his chest, arching a brow at the Avian Hero and tilting his head slightly in that familiar way that Hawks had come to learn was a ‘you’re caught’. “Oh, nothing. Just finished telling you the secret recipe that Toga uses for her hair color treatments, and Twice’s moonshine mix. And you didn’t even bat an eye. So, what’s eating at you?” A frown turned Hawks’ lips, and he would just hold a hand up to wave it idly. “Ah, nothin’. Just tired?” “Bullshit.” “How’s it bullshit if it’s true, Dabs? C’mon, I’m just tired is all! No worries.” He spoke with a grin, and Dabi scowled like he’d stepped in something foul. “I’m not worried. I’m pissed. If you can’t be here and keep up your end of the deal, you know full well you won’t-” “I know, I know I won’t be able to meet the big bad boss. I won’t rise up to your extortionate expectations. Blah blah, trust me I get it so save me the crap and either let me know my next task, or let me go home.” His words might’ve come out sharper than intended, but it apparently got his point across. Dabi for his part looked mildly surprised, but also much more interested now. He’d never seen Hawks snap at him like that, but looking over the male… Pale. Pupils constricting and dilating. His slow, shallow breaths or even sometimes a lack of breathing in general. The way his wings were more tucked into his back today, or how he shifted his weight subtly every now and then. The vacant staring, dissociation no doubt. “...You’re having a panic attack.” It wasn’t a question, but a statement. One that Hawks refused instantly. “No. I’m tired, there’s a difference.” He flatly denied the accusation. To which Dabi sighed and rolled his eyes. “It means nothing to me about your state of mind, honestly. Whatever you put yourself through to get into this state is on you, but it does affect your ability to listen and give me information.” He spoke flatly, and the words seemed to sting more than they should to Hawks. It affects his abilities to do what he’s here for. The only thing he’s there to do, is to give information to Dabi and get the same in turn eventually. To gain the others trust, and he’s failing that. He’s failing at every step, it’s going to fall apart and- His thoughts were spiraling. Logically, Hawks knew that wasn’t going happen. Not anytime soon anyways. But the inevitable rise of panic fed into those dark thoughts, and when did his mouth suddenly become so dry? Why did his stomach twist in such painful knots? “...It doesn’t- won’t, it won’t change my ability.” The Hero spoke up, voice a bit softer than normal. That feeling of dread and panic started to climb, clawing towards its apex, and Hawks stepped back. Dabi frowned some, watching the Hero. “Well, if that’s all here, I’m gonna go and…and get home, got a long day of patrol. Gimme a text when you’re ready for more, yea?” Before the Pyro could speak further, Hawks was gone in a flare of crimson plumes. Leaving Dabi staring after him with a frown, blue eyes watching the sky. /tbc

Showman!Dabi has almost zero control over his quirk. At one point, he had completely burnt away most of his skin tissue, which is how Giran found him. Not one to turn away a potential investment, he provided the medical care Dabi needed.

Giran provides Dabi with support gear to properly use his quirk, who in turn operates as a sort of... debt collector for Giran.

It starts with an announcement on Kurogiri's bar. Tomura had been on and off for a whole year on different bands, but nothing worked, so he decides to start his own project.

Giran owns Kurogiri a few favors, so he makes some calls and eventually comes across two young punks who look exactly like Tomura's brand of crazy.

Toga is a drop-out high-schooler who was kicked from home. She was making a name for herself singing in the streets while playing either the drums or her guitar.

Touya's dream was to be a pop king like his dad. After his accident and recovery, Rei and the other Todoroki kids agreed to help Touya change his appearance and move to his own apartment, where Enji wouldn't find him. He can't sing like before due the damage on his vocal cords, but his a total showman on the guitar or bass and an insane lyricist.

Tomura processed the trauma of his family death through music from a young age. In other words, he's able to play a good number of instruments and knows a lot about music theory. He prefers the piano, however. The movement on the fingers help him relax.

The first time they play together because they can't decide which genre they want to play or who sings or who plays what. They decide to find at least one or two more bandmates and try it out.

That's how they met Spinner, a barely known bassist from a small town, and Twice, a kinda older drummer that makes it sound like he has more arms than he has when he plays the drums, holy shit.

They try again. It takes them a few intense days until they make it. Funnily enough, they were chilling all across the bar messing with some cover when Kurogiri walked in and started correcting them individually. That's how they learned that Kurogiri is some musical genius or something.

They start pulling their influence. Found in Magne a make-up artist and in Mr. Compress a visionary man when it comes to the stage arrangements. Mustard is their first fan, Muscular their bodyguard and they have a poor mutilated plushie that they call nomu, the mascot of the band.

They start playing on Kurogiri's bar, getting barely enough money to buy a broken ass van and travel as they can to other places. Their reputation is mostly due how crazy they all look stumbling down the van and getting on stage. They're like a fever dream.

They start creating their own lore. Maybe there's a superior evil pulling their strings. Maybe the world turned them into villains. Maybe Dabi can breath fire and Tomura always wear gloves because he destroys everything he touches and Toga has fangs and drink blood and Spinner ir a lizard man and there is a different Twice every night and...

Before they know it, it's not about the fame anymore. They sign with Meta Liberation records. Magazines are calling them a menace to the music industry. They're competing with the best boy bands and solo artists and records of Japan.

It's a delicate thing to find themselves a second before diving in a spiral of fame and attention. It's chaos and it's hurting them but also there's nowhere else for them to be.

My preferences for LOV voices:

Kurogiri: both Japanese and English are equally good for me! They both have that deep, smooth, sonorous quality that fits the character super well.

Shigaraki: Japanese or post-S1 English. I like how calm and honestly thoughtful his Japanese voice sounds. His voice when he first appeared in English was really goofy and I'm glad the actor pulled it back. I haven't heard his S5 changed English voice yet though.

Dabi: Japanese. It has a playfulness and teasing quality that fits really well for his character and I don’t care for the amount of grit in his English voice because it makes him sound much older than he is. The English guy isn't bad at all, but it's just kind of generic to me. The dramatic speech during Dabi's Dance is definitely going to sound better in Japanese.

Twice: English. My main justification is that as a non-Japanese speaker, I find it very difficult to tell the difference between his 2 voices, especially since he almost always has his mouth covered. If I didn't know he had two personalities, I would never be able to tell from the audio. I also get him and Spinner mixed up a lot when watching the Japanese version.

Spinner: Japanese. I just don't like his English voice at all. He actually sounds his age in Japanese.

Compress: both Japanese and English for similar reasons even if the voices sound totally different. The amount of drama and flourish in his baritone English voice is absolutely perfect for the showman, as is the stage-y accent he has. His Japanese voice is dramatic in a different way and he markedly sounds different from any other character, with an almost chirping or birdlike quality (I can't tell if it's a difference of accent or speech pattern though).

Toga: Japanese and English sound exactly the same to me and they both fit her bubbly character.
