(sorry for sending anon asks broken into too many parts, but tumblr keeps eating up the text otherwise for some reason :/ ) 1: I'm excited for you to get absorbed into a show again xD cause I love reading your insights! (and it'll be great to do that in real time rather than years later :p ) What are you watching currently? (also I feel slightly unnerved like I'm interacting with a celebrity xD but don't want to overwhelm you with the notion!!)

(Lol joke’s on you, coz I haven’t worn a bra since like..... February????? This is the freest and happiest my girls have been since I hit puberty!!!!!!)

2: I really enjoyed your comparison of chemistry between Narbhi and Shrenal. I was just wondering, even though chemistry is just something that is there or not, do you think the difference between their offscreen friendship plays a role in how that 'magic' is created on screen? Like Shrenal seem generally more friendly than Nakuul and Surbhi which results in their being a more sedate, smoldering connection and Narbhi's is hot and blistering?

I don’t know really if the offscreen relationship plays a part; it MAY be a factor of course, but plenty of people hate their costars and still have good chemistry on screen with them, whereas some people who are in happy relationships with each other offscreen look real boring on screen. In my opinion, chemistry is a very elusive beast and the best way to coax is out is with good direction. A good director can elevate even the most trash scenes by guiding their actors well It’s pretty much the fundamental reason Tellywood still exists, coz god knows the material that we have been getting for yeaaaaaaars now is mostly subpar. It’s the way it’s directed (and thus performed) that brings out the magic. (FYI: It’s very clear in Ishqbaaaz, that the best Narbhi scenes are directed by Lalit Mohan, and the best Shrenal scenes are by Atif Khan. Whenever they’ve switched couples, it’s very obvious and the scene doesn’t come out as great.)

3: Also due just the general shift in characters and the relative tiredness of the actors after the redux started, I haven't watched as closely. (Shivaansh wala track tou door ki baat. why did they have Nakuul play him 😖😖😖) So Google says that Sahil had a hand in Shivika's death?

4: I'm having trouble piecing together the story from written updates etc. Would you mind telling how it ended if you know? Thankyou so much in advance!!! It's a pleasure to read your answers :p (And sorry for bombarding you with questions!!)

I didn’t really bother watching the leap in the Redux beyond the first few eps, but (I think??????) Sahil is the one who killed Shivaay coz he wanted the financial gains or some such shit. Can’t really remember how Anika died, but I think she heard about Shivaay and left the house hurriedly and then got into an accident or something? Or died of grief? Either way it was very shoddily written and blah enough not to make an impact on the audiences, who had by then abandoned the show.

5: Oh also, how would you compare Shivika/Narbhi chemistry vs Arshi/ Barun and Sanaya? I mean the writing of the character and the differences witjin the characters have a huge impact but how much do you think the actors affected how they translated the that onscreen? (really like that chemistry post you did, it made me think too much xD) Thankyou :"))

I don’t think I can really compare them accurately (not rn anyway, since it’s been a while since I watched both shows); there’s waaaay too many variable factors for me, but also, like the fictional couples are really really similar to each other, so..... Ugh, I don’t really know. Like, I think Barun is undoubtedly the better actor, but I just like Nakuul’s chemistry with Surbhi more. These are just my dumb subjective feels, based on the memory of the shows. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

I heard media is banned on the sets again-thanks to the uproar these goa segments caused and here I was thinking we'd get to see ShreNal (and others) offscreen for Shrenu's bday segments. Kiya phooti kismat hai yaar humari, na offscree milta hai naa onscreen! ='(

Shrenu’s bday segments will still be there, she’s been recording them. Media ban doesn’t effect the actor’s personal celebrations. Media just wouldn’t be covering the shooting and making segments of the upcoming scenes. Yesterday she cut her cake with Mansi, Nakuul, and Surbhi. Media was covering that so we might get to see it air on her bday. She has a gift segment planned for India-forums and who knows maybe someone else will be present with her in the room. Don’t lose hope yet..Shrenu’s bday celebrations can turn out to be quite lit as Kunal’s were :D

Why did you say Kunal is expressionless? Is it because you are a Shrenu fan?

I didn’t say Kunal is “expressionless” period. I just said Kunal is expressionless/stiff in romantic scenes. Otherwise, he’s got a lot of potential. 

Er, I dunno what this has to do with being a Shrenu fan. I’m just a fan of her acting btw, and she seems to be a nice person offscreen. 

I dunno why Kunal fans think that Shrenu fans hate him and vice versa. I’ve seen some crazy fans on both the sides. And I don’t get it. 

I like Shrenu ka matlab yeh nahi ki I hate Kunal. Mujhe ghanta padi hai Kunal ki.

I mean, ShreNal are two professionals who keep to their work, and try to make work fun. Yes, I know we are not getting any Rikara onscreen and ShreNal segments offscreen, so people are frustrated. Iska matlab yeh thodi hai that ShreNal hate each other. 

Every weekend there is some new cock-and-bull story about how they are at loggerheads and what not. And then Kunal and Shrenu fans are at each other’s throats, for no damn reason. Ab weekdays ko bhi shuru ho jaao. 

Guys, let me tell you something. Actors NEED to get along with each other on sets because otherwise working together will be really tough. And they have to look like they are friends, because its good PR for the show.

Who knows? Probs ShreNal won’t even talk to each other after IB is over. Anyways, Kunal is close to Leenesh and Surbhi, while Shrenu is close to Mansi and Reyhna. So, its not like they are best buddies even now. 

When the actors involved just care about their paycheck, toh bhai, unki personal life ka soch ke tum kyun itna load le rahe ho? 

Also, stop intertwining personal preferences with professional capabilities. Its best to separate an actor from the character. 

Coming back to the question, I’m really not interested in Kunal’s future projects. And that’s because of his mediocre acting, not his equation with Shrenu.

Yes, I’ll keep an eye out for Shrenu’s future projects, again, because she is a superb performer. But that doesn’t mean I’ll sit through shit if I don’t like it. The serial has to hold my interest. 

The only actor for whom I’ll watch anything right now is Surbhi Jyoti. After all, I’m going to watch Naagin 3 for her. God help me!

Okay, am I the only one who doesn’t understand the hype about SaHad (Sajal/Ahad) shipping?

I mean, I get it that Yakeen Ka Safar was a really good show, but really, anytime I see crazy Sajal/Ahad shipping and I’m like whut??? 

Like YKS wasn’t even a show in the romantic genre to begin with. Much as I liked the show, I just didn’t understand the craze about ‘AsfiYa’ either. All the madness surrounding their chemistry and I just don’t see it?

Matlab, I get it that anytime two good looking, unattached actors work together, and have a good offscreen equation, shipping is bound to happen. And I really like Ahad, I do, but I just don’t see anything out-of-the ordinary about SaHad’s interviews that would give cause to ship them. 

Isse zyada reason toh I have to ship Osman and Maya. They are such cool buddies offscreen and their interviews are so entertaining. In fact, even ShreNal or LeeHa gave more cause to fans to ship them. SaHad ka angle mujhe samajh mein nahi aata.

*To any Sajal or Ahad fans reading this, please don’t hit me with chappals. I think they are fabulous actors and really good co-stars.*

Has Kunal and Shrenu's equation offscreen changed? They don't seem to be the same anymore?

Umm, did something happen recently, ‘cos this question is???

I don’t think so. As in, I think the last segment of Shrenal together was around Holi (?), some time in Feb/March. And they seemed fine to me that time (?).

I think post-March they haven’t shot together, so there is no offscreen segment or anything. Maybe that’s why it seems that their equation has changed. During DBO there used to be just 5 people in the show, so the offscreen segments were lit! Even post-merger, they used to shoot a lot together, so we used to get all segments, photos, insta stories, etc. Ab jab saath kaam hi nahi karte toh, there is nothing offscreen to show for it. 

Like I still see a lot of Shrenu/Surbhi stuff offscreen, ‘cos they shoot together, plus SuShreMan (+Reyhna) seem to hang a lot after work. Kunal just doesn’t hang out much with IB cast offscreen, unless its a cast party or something. He mostly still hangs around with his friends from his previous show. 

What I’m saying is that there is little opportunity for ShreNal to interact like before. So, ab pehle vaali baat nahi hai. In any case I always felt that only the girl gang will possibly still be friends after the show ends. Baaki I love how the IB cast bonds and hangs out together, but yeh sab show chalne tak hain. 

In any case, Shrenu and Kunal, both are sensitive ppl (if I’m not wrong Kunal restricted comments on his photography page?). The  manner in which IB fandom just doesn’t understand the concept of privacy and gets into the celebs bedroom, bathroom and beyond, its highly annoying. Maybe they both just don’t want to share their equation with fans anymore. TBH the fans are responsible considering how mad they went a few months back when Kunal got hitched. Bashing ShreNal left, right and center. So, I totally get if they want to keep their lives private, anon.

You know, I hate this shipping onscreen pairs as much as the next person, but I really do feel bad for ShreNal shippers. Matlab did you see the ITA pics from last night? Slaying in black and red! Uff the hotness was too much to handle. No wonder these fans get carried away, 'cos ShreNal do look very good together, their pic yesterday looked straight out of some magazine cover. Can someone please do a magazine photoshoot with them, if nothing else?

It’s a TRAGEDY that two extremely beautiful people like Kunal and Shrenu just don’t get many chances to explore their beautifulness together. Onscreen or offscreen..really there’s such a massive dearth of quality content for them. AAG laga den ye dono lekin kambhakt koi mauqa hi nahin milta. Idk if they aren’t offered anything together like photoshoots or something or they personally don’t want to do them..either way, it’s SAD that there’s a ready made jodi in them ready to conquer everything but they aren’t been explored that way. Yehi dukh toh maar gaya hai. Ke post-IB we might not ever see ShreNal together again and it SUCKS ke while they ARE together..they remain woefully underutilized.

Maissss, did you see that tiny bit in the segment where Kunal is doing something with that tape on Shrenu's mouth, trying to annoy her? LOL these guys have so much fun on shoot. I only watch segments to catch ShreNal's offscreen masti. Shit! I hope I don't sound like one of those crazy ShreNal shippers :( But I do love those dorks!

Appreciating them for the dorks they are doesn’t mean we are shipping them. Wo shippers alag hain. I was so happy to see Gauri with ObBros though! LOL! And even with Nakuul and Lee there, Kunal harkaton se baaz nahin aya. I love my dorks so much!!
