I was inspired by the “BES with wings” au, so I went a lil bit wild with my hcs for it. So, here’s my take on what kind of wings the rest of the cast would have!
Ringo- Little Ringed Plover
Madam Kaji- Japanese crested Ibis
Daichi Tokunobu- Gray Wagtail
Kinuyo- Water Rail
Ise- Horned Lark
Takayoshi Itoh- Pryer’s Woodpecker
Heiji Shindo- Black Drongo
Bloodsoaked Chiaki- Northern Shrike
Seki- Goshawk
Abijah Fowler- House Sparrow
Ooooh! I have to check these out! I already love the choices for Madam Kaiji and Ise, since I somehow recognize these birds!
It would fit that our poor Ise has the wings of the same species as Akemi, since she had to act „the princess” often. And now I’m torn with how big Madam Kaiji’s wings should be. On one hand, they should not throw off her elegance with being too big but the ability to hug her girls and literally swipe them under her wings would work sooo well.

Since Twitter (where a lot of the original wave of taking-@firstginger's-daemon-quiz-for-characters happened) is kind of a twitshow I felt like we need more of that stuff on Tumblr and since I am one of the few people I know in my circles of the Internet who still likes The Big Bang Theory unironically I thought I might do their daemons

Specie: Doppleganger
Occupation: Stripper at Pink Paradise and server at Simmer Down
Birth Place: Hell's Kitchen, New York
Residence: Tower Hill
Height: 5'7"
Definable Marks/Tats: n/a
[ background ]
Spencer was born Claire Smith to two loving parents. Their mother passed away from child birth, and their father raised them on his own as best as he could.
Their father was a member in a gang for majority of their life. He sold drugs amongst other things that Spencer was not privy to. At the age of fifteen their dad tried to run away with him to Marina. They were here for a total of three years before they were found and forced to go back to the states.
Spencer ( Claire at the time ) and their father made a promise to one another to go back into that life long enough to gather up enough money to find a safe place to live and change their names for extra security next time they were able to run away.
While back in the states their father fell into a deep depression due to not being able to provide them with a safe place to call home anymore and he began abusing drugs. Spence was there through it all, and eventually was able to get him to stop using and focus on getting better so they could escape once more.
The gang figure out their plan and before they were able to leave Spencer's father was murder and they'd be next in line. He he didn't have much time prepare so they just took off leaving everything behind.
Finding their way back to Marina, Spencer found a job and before long they met another person that would become their reason for living. The love of their life they thought and the two soon became an item.
But luck was never on Spencer's side and soon the two began to argue over Finn's addiction to drugs. Spence did their best to help them through it - same as they did with their father all those years back - but he didn't understand the gravity of Finn's addiction until it was too late. Then he died...
After Finn's death, Spencer was overcome with so much anger that they shut themselves away from the world. It wasn't too long before they couldn't stand being in Marina surrounded by the people who reminded them so much of him so they left again.
During their time away, Spencer heard stories of people being brought back from the dead. This fueled them to come back into the island and do everything in their power to find someone willing to help him do just that. No matter the price.
[ headcanons ]
Roommates with Robin Shrike!
They wear masks to cover up their features whenever performing at Pink Paradise to remain somewhat anonymous
Working multiple jobs in case they find someone to help them bring back Finn and all they want in money :/
Super close with the Fowlers - like family (just love me ok?)
[ wanted connections ]
Friends! They've been back in the island for at least three years now so snatch him up pls
Exes - most likely on bad terms. He's really obsessed with Finn's memory. Has commitment problems cause they truly believe they will bring him back.
Work buddies who go out drinking/partying outside of work
Music friends - he's been very neglectful on it but loves music regardless
Friends with benefits, hookups, one night stands, booty calls

MORTAL ENGINES AUDIENCE MISSING IN ACTION
by David D. Fowler & Aeon 999
“It was a dark, blustery afternoon in spring, and the city of London was chasing a small mining town across the dried-out bed of the old North Sea.” This is the wonderfully intriguing opening line of MORTAL ENGINES, the first book in PHILIP REEVE's fanciful dystopian series about the world of Municipal Darwinism, inhabited by huge greedy, predatory cities.
PETER JACKSON's grand-scale production of the film version was highly anticipated in some circles, and its combination of his best trademarks – including thrilling action, amazing visuals, astonishing world-building, heartfelt acting, phenomenal special effects, and compelling storytelling – delighted both of us. Directed by Jackson protege CHRISTIAN RIVERS, and scripted by Sir Peter along with PHILIPPA BOYENS and FRAN WALSH, the film should have been a huge hit.
But instead of getting the enthusiastic reception it so richly deserved, it was roasted by most pop culture media outlets – reflecting today's cynical and shallow obsession with formulaic franchises, competition, and box office performance. Its considerable merits met the same indifference as those of several notably outstanding fantasy films of the past few decades – which also suffered both financially, and at the hands of unperceptive critics.
Thus, Mortal Engines joins the ranks of other high profile films that never got the widespread acclaim they clearly warranted – such as David Lynch's DUNE (1984), Andrew Stanton's JOHN CARTER (2012), the Wachowskis' JUPITER ASCENDING (2015), Duncan Jones' WARCRAFT (2016), Brad Bird's TOMORROWLAND (2015), and Luc Besson's VALERIAN & THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS (2017).
Since Jackson's film is now available on streaming video, MFF takes this opportunity to pay tribute to the production, and to provide some perspective on why such an ambitious and entertaining film failed to find a large audience at the theaters. At the links below, you can view the full movie; you'll also find highlight clips from the film, plenty of behind-the-scenes materials, and a number of positive reviews. Hopefully, this will inspire those of you who missed this supremely imaginative film to give it another chance.
