With the current Fate/Apocrypha event going on in FGO right now I'd like to remind everyone that Sieg, while the weakest TypeMoon protag, is an okay protagonist and not a bad character. While he wasn't perfect in Apocrypha, I actually think his FGO appearance has made him a more fleshed out character, and his interactions with Ritsuka are a breath of fresh air for both characters.

Tbh as a SiegStolfo shipper myself, I wish Apocrypha held more focus pushing those two instead of Jeanne since Sieg had better chemistry with Astolfo and his relationship with Jeanne didn't seem as interesting to me.

Any more Siegstolfo headcanons to share?

I don’t have a lot of headcanons for them within the actual Apocrypha timeline, mainly because of how short the timeframe seems? And anything post-Apocrypha would just be Astolfo alone and Sieg with Jeanne at the Far Side of the world. But I imagine Astolfo would just be a bit torn because part of him is really proud of Sieg for doing what he wanted with his life and fighting so hard and making it so far, while another part of him feels like it’s wrong for him to still be existing in this world while Sieg is somewhere else and can’t continue to live out his life. On nights during the new moon he cries over the irony of it. But he keeps living his life freely because that’s what he’s always done, ad he knows Sieg wouldn’t want him to lie around and mourn him forever.

Since I’m pretty sure Sieg has been datamined as one of the Servants that will be in FGO at some point, I imagine that as soon as he gets to Chaldea some of Astolfo’s memories of the Apo timeline will be triggered and he’ll just tacklehug Sieg and not let him go for at least half an hour.

Astolfo gets mad protective of Sieg if you ever insult him or threaten him, it’s like the only thing we ever see him get truly pissed about in Apocrypha, and I feel like Sieg is the same way, just more subdued most of the time with his anger? But like if someone insults Astolfo hen he’s not around, or says something gross about him, or dismissive of him as a hero, Sieg will get kind of cold and curt with them and won’t hesitate to tell them that they don’t know Astolfo at all and they should keep their opinions to themselves.

Astolfo loves to go shopping and just like. Look at cute stuff. And collect cute stuff. He loves cute clothes but also just trinkets and foods that look cute because #aesthetic and he loves to drag Sieg along with him, and Sieg never really gets it? None of it appeals to him the same way, it doesn’t do anything for him, but will do it for Astolfo. 

Astolfo always tries to find stuff that Sieg will enjoy too, so that he isn’t just dragging Sieg along and ignoring his interests. Since Sieg hasn’t had a lot of time to explore different interests, he doesn’t really know what he likes or dislikes when it comes to hobbies and things, and Astolfo keeps encouraging him to explore stuff so he can get a sense of what interests him and what doesn’t.

If there was ever a fair in town Astolfo would drag Sieg with him to have fun on all the rides and stuff. And eat way too much sugary food and then get sick on the roller coaster, and need Sieg to comfort him, while Sieg is amazed that Heroic Spirits can even get sick. Astolfo wins a bunch of prizes for Sieg with his luck and Sieg has no idea what he’ going to do with any of these things, but Astolfo was very happy to win them for him so he’s going to keep them he supposes. They go on the ferris wheel at the end and enjoy the view together and Astolfo cuddles up to Sieg and Sieg decides that fairs are nice.

Honestly I just love that Sieg knows Astolfo well enough to tell when his cheerfulness is an act rather than his normal cheerfulness? I love how well these two know each other and that they know how to comfort one another when they are overwhelmed or scared. This isn’t a headcanon I just love them.

SKY DATE. Sieg asking if it’s really okay for Astolfo to be using his Noble Phantasm for such a frivolous thing, Astolfo asking if he’s not having fun, Sieg assuring him that’s not the case at all. Flying under the moonlit sky with Sieg getting to see the world from up above, and the two of them just taking in the beauty and the bigness of it all.

Astolfo cheekily asking things like ‘do you think I’m cute/cool/x’ and Sieg calmly saying something very heartfelt and Astolfo nearly dying because he’s just too smooth without even trying. 

Guda doesn’t let Astolfo and Sieg fight on the same team at first because they just spend the whole time trying to protect each other and nothing gets accomplished. They eventually have to promise to be more efficient in how they fight so that Guda will let them go on the same team again.

Astolfo making tons of chocolates and things for Sieg on Valentine’s day! Because he wants to make it just right. Sieg not really getting the tradition and making his own chocolates for Astolfo too, and the two of them just giving each other chocolates and then sitting and eating them together.

Astolfo making a big old blanket fort for them to watch movies in on a cold day when no one wants to go on missions, and them snuggling together all cozy and content, and just happy to finally be side by side again.
