In times when we are united by much, but still divided by more, music can get flayed for being reactionary, opportunistic or undeclared. Meanwhile, the Kurws, on their fourth album, put things clearly, namely head-on. “Powięź / Fascia” is an album founded as much by the culture of anxiety as by their personal dreads. W czasach, w których wiele nas łączy, ale wciąż więcej dzieli, muzyka może oberwać za reakcyjność, oportunizm lub brak deklaracji. Tymczasem Kurws na swoim czwartym albumie stawiają sprawę jasno, czyli na głowie. „Powięź / Fascia” to album sponsorowany tak przez kulturę niepokoju, jak i przez niepokój własny. Afirmacja wieloznaczności i lęk przed dwuznacznością to dwie głowy tego samego pragnienia – i dwa motory napędowe zebranych tu ćwiczeń z nierezygnowania. ___ Attention! Kurws ”Powięź / Facia” LP is finally out via Red Wig, Dur et Doux, Korobushka Records and ourselfs!  Here is a few words by Marcin Siehankiewicz about his artwork:

"During the work on the graphics that accompanies the album "Fascia", publicly available geographic information system databases were used: hydrographic, weather and climate data, land cover and geological. They contain geodata on various natural phenomena between which there are qualitative and quantitative spatial relationships. These relations are both clearly visible in geographical space as well as invisible to the naked human eye. The image generated in GIS software, although using real geodata, is completely random - the information has been selected, corrupted, distorted without any overriding idea and order. Such a "map" is completely useless in both a cartometric and informational sense. The analog equivalent of such an action would be to cut up several different thematic maps of a selected area, then randomly select the offcuts, throw them into a bag, dump them on a table, and glue them into a new whole. The attributes of the 78,868 spatial objects, which consist of lines and polygons formed from 3,252,579 points, were also assigned random graphic symbolisation using 5,415 colors. The graphic symbol of the bonding fascia, known from anatomy, permeates through the multi-layered structure on its various levels."

Kurws “Powięź / Facia” jest już na winylcu! Wspólnymi siłami Red Wig, Dur et Doux, Korobushka Records i samego zespołu. I jeszcze kilka słów od mgr Marcina Siehankiewicza oprzygotowanej przez niego okładce:

"Przy pracy nad grafiką towarzyszącą albumowi "Powięź" wykorzystano ogólnodostępne bazy danych systemów informacji geograficznej: hydrograficzne, klimatyczne, pokrycia terenu oraz geologiczne. Zawierają one dane o różnego rodzaju zjawiskach przyrodniczych, pomiędzy którymi zachodzą jakościowe i ilościowe zależności przestrzenne. Są to relacje zarówno wyraźnie widoczne w przestrzeni geograficznej, jak również niewidoczne dla gołego ludzkiego oka. Wygenerowany w oprogramowaniu kartograficznym obraz, choć wykorzystuje realne dane, jest zupełnie przypadkowy - informacje zostały wybrane, uszkodzone, zniekształcone bez jakiejkolwiek nadrzędnej idei i porządku. Taka "mapa" jest zupełnie bezużyteczna zarówno w sensie kartometrycznym jak i informacyjnym. Analogowym odpowiednikiem takiego działania byłoby pocięcie kilku różnych map tematycznych wybranego obszaru, następnie losowe wybranie ścinków, wrzucenie do worka, wysypanie na stół i sklejenie w nową całość. Atrybutom 78 868 obiektów przestrzennych, które składają się z linii i poligonów utworzonych z 3 252 579 punktów przydzielono ponadto również losową symbolizację graficzną wykorzystującą  5 415 kolorów. Przez wielowarstwową strukturę przenika na różnych jej poziomach znany z anatomii graficzny symbol spajającej powięzi."
