My Skeksis OC
This is my skeksis oc, and he exists in the original canon consistent with the “legends of the dark crystal” books
SkekRok the Architect was a creator, a pioneer of the arts and mastermind of the castles look.  He was squat with dark mint skin, piercing yellow eyes and a stubby hooked beak. He thought little of his fellow skeksis, finding many of them incapable of creating or even appreciating art, save for the emperor. He was the first of his kind to don large robes to provide a more intimidating appearance to the lower races, and provided input for ornamentalist’s designs of the skeksis’ robes.  He was the only skeksis to maintain a strong alliance with skeklach the collector during his favoritism by the emperor, often agreeing with and backing most of the collectors decisions in court, which earned him the disdain of his other peers. He was known for his fondness of the aquatic delicacies provided by the mariner and was the only skeksis to have made contact with his mystic counterpart, URra the carver; in secret of course. He would probe his other half's knowledge for new designs and artistic ideas.
It was he who designed and directed the transformation of the crystal castle into its infamous dark visage.  He was conceited and completely concerned only with the esthetic of the world around him; for him, art was all that mattered.  He cared little about other creatures, and treated the gelflings and podlings much like slaves long before the skeksis reverted to their evil ways.  He would work them tirelessly to fulfil his artistic visions.  Unlike the other skeksis, he believed firmly in the arcane arts rather than their faith in dogma or science. While he was never physically imposing, he was always loud and outspoken, and woe be to those who uncured his wrath by criticizing his art. Before the break of the skeksis/gelfling alliance, he famously created a diplomatic incident when one of his workers criticized his designs, resulting in his strangling the gelfling to death in a rage.  He managed to avoid exile by defeating his main accuser, the chamberlain, in a trial my earth: a race.
His attempts to personally update the subterranean levels of the castle ended in disaster when a cave-in was triggered, which killed his workers and nearly him. His whole body was scarred terribly and his vocal cords damaged, reducing his once strong voice to a sinister rasp.  He also lost both his primary arms, one of his secondary ones and his right leg in the accident.  Through the dark arts in which he practiced, he gained animate prosthetic limbs formed from jagged, splintery wood. Waddling about with the aid of a cane, the creaking of his limbs was like that of an old tree in the wind, which filled the halls wherever he went. He was the only skeksis to have no fondness or appreciation for the garthim, based solely on his disgust at their hideous, uninspired design.
After the death of the collector in a failed coup, the architect found he had few allies in the skeksis court. Over the trine he grew paranoid that he was considered a threat and that his life was in danger, and he planned to flee the castle. In reality, the other skeksis thought little of him and that without the collector as an ally, he held no power amongst them. After bribing skekna to start a commotion amongst the slaves, he slipped away in the confusion and abandoned the skeksis empire. Fleeing in the dark of the night on skeklachs personal chariot, pulled by the former collectors hounds. He only made it part way through the endless forest when he was attacked by arathim silkspitters.  Swarmed over by the enemies, he could not see an approaching cliffs edge and he and his attackers plunged to their deaths. His death also unfortunately sealed the fate of URra as well, who suddenly fell lifeless before his brethren. He was the last skeksis to die prior to emperor skekso, 6 trine before the 3rd great conjunction.
