Remember the time where I threw everyone into a massive crossover into the galaxy? Well welcome back, here is just a random (i guess you can say shitpost but..idk) tiny storyboard of it. I found videos a few videos of SpongeBob into the galaxy and I went (I NEED TO DRAW THIS)

Hopefully this adds a bit of expanded lore and explanations to how everything boiled down.

But here we are again with Silky, Patches and the epic leader Eric (Whom patches literally had to keep an eye on 24/7)

Hello,first of all I want to say that you're a godsend to this community filled with people like TPK.

Second of all, sorry for the upcoming long post...

I've been a proud owner of a Silky Hornet (named...Hornet bc I suck at names) for almost a year now and she is a very happy girl (in Hornet standarts..lots of noises and brooding).

Since I have the space for it I made her a huge enclosure at my backyard similiar to the enclose she has inside so I can take her out to get some sun and have a change of pace while I work in my garden (don't worry I check the encosure everytime I take her out to make sure nothing got in or out) but lately there has been this..bug that visits her whenever she is in her outside closure.

At first my Hornet seemed..agitated or even angry towards this bug so I chased it away a few times. But it kept coming back and my Hornet got used to it and now they look and paw at eachother through the glass and chase eachother playfully around the enclosure.

I think it even tried to break my Hornet out from her enclosure, and my Hornet bought some of her berries for it to eat, but due to glass it couldn't take them.

For the longest time I wasn't able to fully see what kind of bug it was bc it always ran away when I approached it but after leaving some berries for it I managed to catch a glimpse at it.

It kinda looks like a mushroom?

It's fully white with a black face and it's head resembles a mushroom and honestly looks quite cute. Ever since I started leaving berries for it, it became more docile and even let me pet it once, so I think it might have had a owner before, I want to catch it without scaring it so I can take it to a vet for it to get checked for anything and possibly adopt it because both it and my Hornet seem fond of eachother.

Do you have any info on what kind of bug it is and how should I proceed with all this?

Sounds like a feral white lacehead! White laceheads are a domesticated insect that is rarer than other domesticated bugs, but very pretty. They can cohabitate with hornets, but remember that hornets can be territorial so if you keep the lacehead she should have her own enclosure. They can be together on neutral ground though!

When they’re together, keep an eye on them. Laceheads like to spar for fun, but your hornet may not understand (especially since they’re different species) or want to partake in a play fight. Learn to tell the difference between a play fight and a real fight—a real fight will make a lot more noise and they’ll try to hit each other’s bodies, as opposed to play fighting where they’ll merely hit each other’s weapons together.

Laceheads aren’t my specialty, but a visit to a lacehead-savvy exotic vet is a very good idea.

Fun fact: While the first captive hollow knights originated in the long-fallen Hallownest civilization of Australia, domesticated laceheads are from another civilized area called the Pharloom. The people of Pharloom are doing well to this day, upholding their culture and their faith as best they can. They were introduced to the silky hornet a very long time ago, which found its way into their folklore, and they worship it as the goddess of silk and song, two things they consider very important. (This is where the Silksong myth started!)

(Hey guys im back, took about two days off just to process my emotions about my auntie's passing but im back now. Thank you @buenos-diaz for checking on me, I'll have a drawing of Destiny for Monster Inc au done this evening. I had to do a little warm up to get myself back into the art gig.)

Anyway since March 23 is coming up and I have to prepare for Stealing the Starlight, here's a little funny scenario to get back in the cuphead gig.

Silky spends a lot of time with Nina dancing and teaching her some complex moves she knows. So one day she is eager to teach Eric about a few steps. Silky is a bit baffled why Nina didn't bring him that following day but Nina had her reason.

(She tried to prepare Eric beforehand and showed him how to Fouetté, but that didn't work out well oops)

welcome to the cat kennel!

this blog is dedicated to all of the cat designs i've made of non-cat characters, mostly because i don't feel like putting them on my main blog! it'll also have any art i make involving these cats.

as of writing, i have a small backlog of art that i plan to post over the next few weeks. after that, i'll probably post whatever else i end up making, though i can't promise any consistency.

currently, i'll mostly be doing project moon stuff!

I was gonna ramble about all dead giants but let’s talk about mining golems first!

(Note that bellow are just my own headcanons which I also apply in the story so take with with a grain of salt)

They didn’t really come to last. Being just machines that can’t maintain themselves on their own and following simple commands, they couldn’t last.

Finding crystals strong enough to serve as a core to give golems life was difficult. Even so, the nobles that kept the mines running and thriving were aware they could easily gain more profit with powerful machines such as these so they created a workshop that was suppose to manufacture more. Before the infection struck the kingdom, only three were created.

Being the handy works of the miners, they put a lot of trust in them. All the dangerous and heavy tasks were done by then active golems who helped expand the mines to the reaches known today. Only those experienced in understanding how the Crystal Hearts worked could give orders; their Creators.

Bugs who held control also understood golems were their tools. There was a miner who supervised one of the golems at the time when labor of the miners were underappreciated. Nobles demanded more. Ideas of turning the whole Hallownest and kingdoms beyond to fully rely on the crystals as the only source. The crystal powered trams worked perfectly, despite the public issue of Deepnest having against them. It was going to be an amazing profit. The Creator despised it.

Even years later when the nobles stopped caring about the mines know the story stands that the golem went berserk on it’s own. Back when it happened, the mines burned, echoed with thunderous hits and rumbles of the golem who hit, crushed, destroyed... level the mines down. Seize the exes work that nobles didn’t when miners started falling tired and sick, dying of the risks of the mines due to the pressure of deadlines. As quickly as the mines turned ablaze, the work was no more. The Creator was nowhere to be found.

Things slowed down then. The infection that turned to be a bigger issue scattered the nobles and workers away. Even so, new miners started to appear and the mines of the Crystal Peak was slowly being set back on, this time more reasonable track.

The fate of the golems after the famous ordeal was uncertain. The one that rampaged the mines was sent to the workshop and was never activated again. The other broke down mid work and as there were no Creators left to fix them, it was just left there. One golem remained. The miners didn’t dare rely on it, even if they were to learn how to give it orders. It was left to sit in the less visited clustered caverns, all alone.

Infection hit Hallownest. Miners could only focus on their work. More bugs showed up in order to have some way to earn for Geo in such bad times. The Peaks slowly turned into some sort of sanctuary... at least, until it slowly succumbed to the infection as well. The higher ups ordered a lock down after that. Infected miners were dangerous. Powerful crystals were no longer important. Golems were long forgotten...

Fun facts time~

Silva’s Crystal Heart use to belong to the rampaging Golem, she got dream essence of the memory that belonged to the Golem and the Creator at the time it went berserk.

Funny enough, Yonna has Hekla’s handkerchief so she got to witness the final moments of one of the nobles that worked there. His name was Regie, he wasn’t such a bad guy but that was still position of his work. He passed away while hiding in the office of the mines during the whole rampage. Hekla was a weaver very close to him so before she departed with the rest of the Weavers, she gave him her hand made silky handkerchief and her journal. Both were old age but Hekla passed away in Pharloom (where I assume Weavers went) but not before meeting a whole clutch of grandkids (one who earned her grandmothers name and now appears sometimes in Yonna’s dreams due to this “thread” that connects them).

Both Silva’s Crystal Heart and Yonna’s handkerchief are Taka’s ashen essence items.

Hey! I kind of hope this is some sort of golem as well!!

I honestly fell in love with this boss design the moment I saw it, I’m all down for puppet/machine bugs and I do hope it will be connected or work similar somehow. Due to the design of it, it might be called Automaton instead of Golem (which is also a bit more appropriate in terms and cultural appropriation).
