🌸 What's your earliest memory of playing the sims?

🤡🤡🤡 I did this for all my sims and considered myself such a god-super mega genius:

💫 How did you discover the sims franchise?

As a child I went to my brother's birthday party and my older cousins locked themselves in one of the rooms to play on the computer. When I came into this room I saw one of them playing "The Sims" and I was literally hypnotized. I stood near the table all day and just watched my cousin play 🥺

20+- years I think

All! "The Sims 2" was one of my first games. I played "The Sims 3" when I was a teenager and at that time I learned about the Sims community. I couldn’t accept "The Sims 4" for a long time, but now I consider it one of the most convenient series 🖤

Hello! yes i've finally finished it :D my new skin, I know a lot of you have been asking about it so here it is! As some of you know I have spent weeks and weeks perfecting this skin, it's taken a lot of testing and editing. I nearly killed my graphics tablet in the process O_O I love the way it turned out, and guess what...Pores! that was the main focus surrounding this skin, to create realistic pores so our sims don't just look like plastic barbies. That set has all of the photos which were throughout the text with captions now at the top - sorry, I’ll look into how to improve it!) Hello all, So we touched down in Australia at 18:00 local time and had had a good flight in from Abu Dhabi. Some sleep was had but we were fairly tired and sore and the wait at the luggage belt felt like forever all though it was in all likelihood only around twenty minutes. After having declaring nothing at customs we met Clare and Dave at the terminal exit and picked up our Aussie sims before heading to the car. To our surprise we were picked up in a glorious campervan and wheeled our way through the night to our homely destination. So a slight confessions - I had to stop writing this last night on account of the jetlag. Sorry about that, here’s take two: We’re staying with two incredible hosts in Oz. Clare and Dave are the best, they came and picked us up. They drove us to their house. They gave us food and shelter. And most importantly melatonin - the jetlag, contrary to my naive belief that I could overcome it with sheer optimism, is brutally real. After activating Aussie numbers on our phones, available on direct e-mail request, we swiftly headed to bed. Taking melatonin begins the sleep cycle, however having moved through ten time zones our circadian rhythms, our body clocks, had taken quite a beating. We woke at 04:00 local time, and struggled to sleep again. Rising at 08:00 we started some gentle yoga on youtube and had breakfast with Clare, Dave already having headed to work at 06:00. We drove along to Manly Beach and went for a walk to see our first view of the main bay into Sydney and of the Pacific Ocean. The temperature was a balmy 28 degrees celsius and the skies were blue and clear. A delightful spring day all in all! We headed back and had some lunch and then had an hour long nap as we were feeling pretty tired. This was when the jetlag truly hit. An ache had settled in my bones and my eyelids felt heavier than they ever had on the day following a big night out. We dragged our sorry asses downstairs and had ice lollies in the back garden and played some Fiska and bannagrams before we all had a delightful dinner together. We popped the melatonin and were in bed by nine. Again we slept poorly waking up at 04:00 and then up at 08:00 for yoga and breakfast. Clare’s folks, who we love dearly, had left their Opal cards with the money on them for us to use to get about the city and so Becca and I caught the bus into the city to sort out our bank cards. We walked all up and down George street admiring the differences between the UK and here. A grid system for streets, a strange beep wail for pedestrian crossings, a delightful number of street food vendors. We activated our accounts and went and picked up some amazing food - asian style pork in buns with chicken wings and a cold drink all for $9 each! Wonderfully fresh, crunchy and aromatic. We knew the food would be good and we’re off to a flying start. And no spiders or snakes so far either! However, seagull attacks meant we retreated to the botanical gardens to finish our food. After we decided to hit up the museum of contemporary art and saw some fantastic installations by Sun Xun and some fantastic aboriginal works. After we had some tea and cake on the roof and went to catch the ferry back to Manly where we rendezvoused with Clare. Up returning home Dave again cooked up a storm, insisting he was happy without help, serving up some fab ramen. We sit now in the same positions as last night on the sofa feeling the tiredness creep in but am at least recovered enough to put down some words about the last 48 hours. We can’t wait to do some cardio tomorrow and try and put the last of the lag behind us! I’m probably the worst to talk to about this, but I will do the best of my ability.

Skins and details

I remember when I first started playing, it used to be hard to find good skins for a look I was going for. 

If you’re becoming an alpha simmer, skins are so important! Some creators have created Asian versions of their skins, or they’ll make certain eyelids, like monolids / epicanthic folds and etc. as skin details to help achieve a look you want.

If you want, you can take a look at my resources for the skins I use on my Asian sims or check out my cc finds for some skins I reblogged.

*I’m not a maxis match simmer, but you can make good asian sims without cc

Reference photos

Save some photos and try to create your desired face, here on tumblr and pinterest have some really nice pictures :)

Practice

The best thing about ts4 is that you don’t have to download hundreds of sliders (like in ts3) to make your sim have certain ethnic features you want because it’s all there for you. Sometimes it can take just a few minutes or even hours to make a nice sim.

BUT Most importantly, have fun and just keep at it ♡

Oh and If your game is running laggy, I recommend you merge your .package files to make your game run faster. Make sure to have a copy of your original mods folder (or any cc before you start merging) on your computer.

OS2 is even more transparent than the original, allowing some Maxis body detail to shine through. It features a slightly more detailed face, detailed hands and feet, and better looking body parts like the nipples. It is free eye, which means you can use any eye present (asian eyes specificially) on it. Cheek jowls and cleft chins are also more visible. It is enabled for teen-elder for both male and female. These are NOT makeup or overlay, they modify the original texture of the eyes for all your female sims YA to E. For now I just modified the eyebag (let’s call it that way), I’m planning on modify also the eyelids, but we’ll talk about it in the future! Enjoy!
