Jude is actually so nice. She is kind and a nice person especially towards humans because she's mortal herself. There's a bunch of examples of this throughout the series including when she saved Sophie in tcp, chose to help Taryn and her hanging out with the court of shadows when we get to see her friendly side shine through. I feel like we make her "meaner" side a bit too dramatic sometimes as a fandom 😭

I really love lemon's story The Man in Apartment 381 and she's writing a looooot of other Toji stories with fewer chapters +oneshots.

Then the MMA series that spidey writes is a top tier AU that focuses on Toji as an MMA fighter, that's suuuuper good!

Sun has kinda switched to Avatar fics but her Toji stories are so heartwarming, I especially recommend How we break and Between the pages, but beware of angst.

Karma's (kazushawty) stories are mostly smut oriented oneshots, but they just scratch that need for kinky Toji shit we all have 😂😂

Lastly, I really want to recommend this story on AO3 that feels sooooo canon to me, this is literally how I imagine Toji and when reading it after I started Roommate!Toji, I felt like we had a lot of common aspects to the point where I had to temporarily drop it so I don't get too conscious about what I write.

For today's shit series called: AC/S: I/mpeachment I just want to give my thought about this scene (where Hillary again just showed how unfeeling she is when Bill is being vulnerable) and because in the previous scenes that they have been trying to paint Bill-Hillary's marriage as loveless/all partnership. I couldn't contain my annoyance at how they have depicted Hillary in this part and this is my last straw; so I'm going to write this long-ass entry. LMAO. First, there's no way that the production/scriptwriter knows what's happening and what conversation Bill and Hillary are having alone together. Therefore, scenes between Bill and Hillary are entirely created by the production. Second, Monica is the producer, and since she believes that Bill and Hillary's marriage is entirely due to political motivation and (because of) Chelsea, (I think) this is the reason why B/H's marriage in this series is very dry. There's no love at all and really business-like. I cringed remembering Episode 8 where Paul Begala and George Stephanopolous talked to Hillary to participate in the 60 minutes interview to show the people "that she's fine" and how Hillary/Edie responded bothered me; she responded to Paul and George as if she couldn't believe them for suggesting such a thing (even looks disgusted to participate in the farce).

So this annoys the shit out of me because they really made Hillary look so unemotional and detached to Bill. Even in the last episode (ep 8) how Hillary threw Bill's past back in his face is something - I don't think - that Hillary would do. Hillary mentioned before how much she detested meanness. It was so unfeeling! Plus how Hillary/Edie delivered the lines is (somehow) effective. So in this episode, I think when the whole ordeal was happening (they were on the brink of proceeding with the impeachment), is the same as what is happening in Hillary's book when she wrote the following (not exactly the same dates but at least happening at the same period - the brink of starting the impeachment)

Privately, I was still working on forgiving Bill, but my fury at those who had deliberately sabotaged him helped me on that score. For weeks Bill had apologized to me, to Chelsea... [...] And we continued with our regular counseling sessions, which forced us to ask and answer hard questions that years of nonstop campaigning had allowed us to postpone. By now, I wanted to save our marriage, if we could. So she was going through pain, loneliness, and dejection but not this mean-tough facade that they are trying to depict.

But why am I saying this is because the series has been underscoring how loveless Bill and Hillary's marriage is and it's not (please don't ask me to go through all my resources because it'll be plenty. You can go through my blog and check out tags Billary story, Billary fact, or go through all the master list so you can do your reading and create your own conclusions haha). I would tolerate them lambasting Bill for his behavior or depicting Monica as a victim but for them to show Hillary as this mean-I-don't-give-a-shit-about-Bill is just so annoying.

Hillary could have left Bill if it's all about politics when his term ended, but she didn't. She fought. It was one of her hard choices and it was one of the gutsy decisions that she made (cheesy on my part but hey she said those words), but she stayed. She chose him.

Is it all politics? Hell, no, because she has nothing to gain by staying with him. She is capable to carry out her own torch in the political arena. She didn't even need his interference when she ran for Senator. She stayed because she loved him and this series is just damn so infuriating. This series just adds fuel to the conspiracy theory of how it's all about politics when they just even celebrated their 46 years together. Their marriage wouldn't survive that long if it's not founded by love and mutual respect.

how wong kar wai, a straight man from HK (or at least married to a woman), or barry jenkins, a striahgt black man, write/do stories well about people they wouldnt knw about their experiences directly is....well thinking like using their brains and like knowing all types of people? the man who co-wrote moonlight is a hOMOSEXUAL, leslie cheung was fucking gay or queer (and he committed suicide and that's important also RIP homie) both are hailed as queer cinema like WKW wanted to do something else and invested time into it, changed the way he played around with structure, moved away from his crime oriented stuff. he THOUGHT about it and this film is about their reality. it's a harsh film, idk how i feel about it (but my fav movies of his are the crime ones or the messy ones where it's clear he didnt write a script lmao fallen angels is one of my fav movies its' abt assassins kinda) but i know it means something. and he didnt like what HK had previously wasnt enough. it is not the only cinema that should be shown since it's such a stark reality and depressing but it is a real depiction so we can have all sorts of stuff. no this isnt WKW level or moonlight level but i know for a fact these people think they are doing something because artists always do i say this as one and someone who is equally as useless. you're making a statement.

i also hate the westerner component of peoples analyses. first of all dont do cultural relativism. we can critique and respect. but second of all how are we going to keep saying "dont put western ideals on this" when that is what is happening anyway because that's part and parcel for soft power and capitalism. how about taiwan's history with the KMT? what about the regimes young people fought about? aided by US imperialism which permeates through society and affects material conditions, views, democracy, identity and that goes into culture and media. hm? what about that? is that reality too fucking western for people? that we are doing the same thing again now? is that okay to talk about or is that only on your time?

I just read Paradox and it was?? a masterpiece??? But I saw in the FFN comments that you said on your Tumblr that it was controversial oh yeah a lot of people had a lot of issues with it (the fuck) so I had to come here to (1) see and (2) spread some more love bc YOU ARE TOO TALENTED LMAO

AU Hermione was iconic as hell, and I loved her!! this is a very unpopular opinion and I appreciate it very much—she’s the primary reason this fic got so much negativity; people who chose to see her as purely a romantic rival for potterverse!Hermione decided to be v mean about her I actually preferred both AU characters initially - both Hermione and Draco - but tbf I love morally gray characters in general. Like that scene with her knife to Draco’s throat, can I say sexy??? yes like can you blame him? And the conflict with Voldemort, the fact that she took charge, my god. I am obsessed with literally everyone in your story and that is all I need to say 

You even got me to ship Jilly and while I’m not a Snilly shipper, I literally hate every man from Lily’s time so like. The fact that your writing actually got me to ship Lily with James of all people. I’m dead. Also I kind of loved James. That scene where he talks about Draco. I think I read it like 10 times bc I loved it so much I definitely think that’s one of my most memorable scenes from the fic

Actually there’s like at least 30 subchapters that I read about 10 times in a row, it made me take at least twice as long to read the fic as I normally would have

Admittedly both the originals grew on me, and I ended up preferring them; especially since new Draco was MIA for most of the latter half HA.

And also because – old Hermione did grow a lot more confident, and the fact that she stole the kiss, her entire realization about confidence and seizing what you want, I DIED 

And I also need to add your prose is BEAUTIFUL your dialogue is BEAUTIFUL your banter is BEAUTIFUL your characterization is BEAUTIFUL. I rambled about all this already in FFN comments but just. BEAUTIFUL. I appreciated the comments very much and am very happy to hear it!!

I’ve actually been in the worst reading slump for the past - year, actually LOL. it happens Nothing I’ve read has really seized me until Paradox - and honestly it did, woooo! it grabbed me from the very first chapter, and it was in part due to the hook (“wtf is goin on with hermione”) and in part due to, just, ugh, your writing, delicious. And then it just kept getting BETTER??? I was like “wow how does she do this” and then I was too busy gaping and screaming to ask that question anymore 

And that kiss??? May I say, the kiss at the end, it was. Perfect. I can’t. Not only was it beautifully written in general, but also, the moment with Draco’s recognition - the moment with him going *oh*, xyz, *oh*, that was so rhythmical on top of beautiful and I just. I screamed. definitely one of my favorite scenes I’ve ever written, thank you. writing it was a dream

I am willing to raze my Tomione heart to ashes haha. well, I do think part of the reason you were able to enjoy this fic more than some of the early readers is because you may have come in with a more open mind? certain dramione fans were…. upset, to say the least, about the two being paired up with the “wrong” versions. regardless I’m happy to hear it

I also really love the way you write Pansy based on your Sirius fic so. Ugh. I’m very excited like you don’t even know

Also old Draco’s intensity in the final half/third of the story I can’t

He went from “very canon Draco who works well with Sexy Hermione” to me going laksjdf;asjkdfdjkdskskskskskks

also the reconciliation scene at the end. so perfectly written; it was inevitable I’d love the one between old draco and new hermione, but I also loved the one following; it was – both meaningful and oddly sweet and – nostalgic, I think, is the word I’m looking for aw that’s nice

you are SO GOOD at setting atmosphere it’s just – I feel like that’s one of the hardest things to write, is atmosphere, and yet. You do it so seamlessly in such an impeccable way to the point that I just got swept away by the story before I even realized it and just. ugh. thank you! all of this is very nice to hear
