Hm. I think Misako knowing about Lloyd's role in the prophecy but accepting/realising she can't do anything to change it is better than her not knowing because

1. Angst and tension and stuff

2. She'd probably work extra hard to give him the best childhood she can, give him time to enjoy himself before being wrapped up in all this world saving crap. She saw how it affected wu and garmadon

Thinking about Misako and Lloyd,,,

Wu helps look after Lloyd when he can, to take some stress off Misako. Totally doesn't have anything to do with him feeling guilty about Garmadon's banishment nooooo

Lloyd and Misako go camping quite often. Misako isn't fond of being cooped up in the house all the time, and Lloyd thinks its lots of fun, and thinks it's really cool to see all the stars in the sky, which you can't really do in Ninjago City.

Not me coming up with an au where Misako either:

1. (With great pain) accepts the fact that she cannot change destiny, or

2. Doesn't even know Lloyd is going to be the Green Ninja in the first place

So she has no need to go searching for a way to stop the prophecy, cause either she doesn't think it involves her son or she knows there's nothing she can do.

She and Lloyd live in a little house near the museum and he goes to a regular school. Wu comes by often when he can to see his nephew and help his friend if she needs it. Nooo he's not feeling extremely guilty about Garmadon's banishment what are you talking about

I haven't talked about Single Mamasako AU much

I think I'm leaning more towards Misako knowing about Lloyd being the Green Ninja, but she's forced to accept that she wouldn't have any effect on destiny. It's hard to know the truth and know that there's nothing she can do about it to save her son or husband.

Since she's not searching for a way to stop the prophecy, putting herself in danger, travelling Ninjago, there's no need to take Lloyd to Darkley's. For his sake, though, she's dropped Garmadon from their names, leaving them as Lloyd and Misako Montgomery. This hurt, but Garmadon didn't have a good reputation, and she didn't want that to affect Lloyd at school or anyone else. She could take it if anyone gave her crap, but Lloyd shouldn't have to, he's just a kid.

Lloyd goes to a regular school near their little house in the city, which is near the museum, where Misako has taken up a full time position. He loves getting to go there after school and seeing all the cool artefacts and skeletons and stuff, plus some "secrets" (it's what he calls stuff that's not on public display yet that Misako shows him. He is very excited to know these "secrets").

Wu comes by when he can to help look after Lloyd, who even stays with him sometimes on weekends or school holidays. Misako gets nervous about this; if Garmadon were to return, the monastery would surely be one of the first places he'd go to look for the Weapons, or something, right? And there's no telling what the full effect of the venom would have on him, and she saw how rattled Wu was after Garmadon was banished, shocked to hear about what happened. It's part of why she moved her and Lloyd to Ninjago City. Because... what if he knew Lloyd was to be the Green Ninja as well? And what if the venom made him do something awful-?!

She hated to think about it. She loved her husband and believed in him, but she wasn't going to take any risks

Lloyd is upset sometimes that his dad doesn't live with them, or doesn't at least visit. Misako makes sure to let him know that Garmadon loves Lloyd so much, that he'd be with them if he could. That he must miss Lloyd terribly.

As for how this would affect the show... well, the pilots would be the same. But I think what would kick off the events of season one would be Lloyd finding out about the day his father was banished, that there was a fight. Confused and angry, he blames Wu for his father being gone and runs away.

After the pilots, Lloyd probably brags at school that he knows the ninja personally

Misako sighs when asked and says it's half true, they're his uncle's students, but he only really knows them in passing. They're not quite friends, though she hopes they will be one day. Wu speaks highly of them, Misako thinks they might be good role models for Lloyd.

She makes sure he has the best time possible, makes him his favourite cake if she can, or orders a cool one from a bakery

He gets to have birthday parties with his friends

Wu comes over with cool gifts

Lloyd has a lot of fun

Misako makes sure that Lloyd knows, even though he's not there, that Garmadon loves him dearly, and that he'd be proud of how Lloyd is doing in school and stuff.

Completely tragic that Misako wasn't there to see Lloyd become the Green Ninja exactly because she was desperately trying to stop it from happening. The irony.
