did you see what hyeju said on fromm?
Tumblr media
: Lately I've caught the sun a lot
: so I bought this to go back to how it was before
: its good
: Feels like my face got a little clearer
some translators notes here,
타다 and 그을다 are two words for "to tan" that have somewhat different connotations. Both definitely are used to mean "tan", but 타다 the word Hyeju used has the root meaning of "to burn" so it's slightly more akin to sunburn - they can be used interchangeably. 그을다 has the root meaning of "to become blackened" which is specifically about skin color darkening. The concept of tanning in Korea compared to in English doesn't map over in a clear cut way. But she isn't really talking about her skin getting darker.
Hyeju's use of "clear" (맑다) is exclusively about her acne/pimples and nothing to do with skin color. Hyeju has spoken before about how catching a tan doesn't matter that much to her, and she only cares about avoiding aging from sunburn - brightening products are not the same as whitening products.
With this context feel free to make up your mind on how you feel about what she said.

What Are Skin Whitening Treatments? Understanding Their Impact on Your Skin
In a city as vibrant and diverse as Mumbai, beauty trends often take center stage. One trend that has garnered significant attention is skin whitening treatments. With numerous options available, it's essential to understand what these treatments entail and their impact on your skin. Whether you're exploring skin whitening treatments in Mumbai or looking for the best dermatologist in Mumbai for advice, here's a comprehensive guide to help you make informed decisions.
 What Are Skin Whitening Treatments?
Skin whitening treatments, also known as skin lightening or brightening treatments, are cosmetic procedures designed to lighten skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation. These treatments aim to address issues like dark spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone. They can range from topical creams to advanced dermatological procedures.
 1. Topical Creams and Serums
These products often contain ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, vitamin C, and niacinamide, which work to inhibit melanin production and brighten the skin. They are generally used for mild to moderate skin discoloration.
 2. Chemical Peels
Chemical peels treatments involve applying a solution to the skin that exfoliates the outer layers, promoting the growth of new, evenly pigmented skin. They can be tailored to different skin types and concerns.
 3. Laser Treatments
Laser skin whitening uses focused light beams to target and break down melanin in the skin. This method can be highly effective for reducing pigmentation and improving skin texture.
 4. Microdermabrasion
This procedure involves using a device to gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and stimulating new skin growth. It can help with skin tone and texture issues.
 5. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy
IPL therapy uses broad-spectrum light to target pigmentation and redness, promoting an even skin tone. It’s a non-invasive option for addressing various skin concerns.
Impact of Skin Whitening Treatments on Your Skin
While skin whitening treatments can offer visible results, it's crucial to consider their potential impact on your skin:
 1. Temporary vs. Long-Term Results
Many treatments offer temporary improvements in skin tone. However, maintaining results often requires ongoing use of products or additional treatments. The longevity of results can vary based on individual skin type and lifestyle.
 2. Risk of Side Effects
Some skin whitening treatments, especially those containing potent ingredients like hydroquinone, can cause side effects such as irritation, redness, and dryness. It’s vital to use these products under the guidance of a qualified dermatologist.
 3. Skin Sensitivity
Treatments that involve exfoliation or chemical agents can make your skin more sensitive to sun exposure. This increased sensitivity can lead to sunburn or further pigmentation if proper sun protection is not used.
 4. Alteration of Skin Texture
Procedures like chemical peels and laser treatments can alter skin texture. While many individuals experience improved texture, some may encounter issues such as peeling or temporary discoloration.
Choosing the Right Skin Whitening Treatment in Mumbai
If you're considering skin whitening treatments in Mumbai, it's crucial to choose a reputable and experienced dermatologist. The best dermatologist in Mumbai can help you determine the most suitable treatment for your skin type and concerns. They can also provide guidance on managing side effects and achieving the best results.
 Final Thoughts
Skin whitening treatments can offer benefits such as an even skin tone and reduced pigmentation. However, it's essential to approach these treatments with caution and under professional supervision. Understanding the impact on your skin and choosing the right treatment can help you achieve your desired results while maintaining healthy skin.

How to Avoid Dry-Cracked Heels in All Sessions
Tumblr media
Winter can be tough on your skin, especially your heels. Cold weather and dry indoor air often lead to rough, cracked skin on your feet, making them uncomfortable and even painful. But don’t worry—keeping your heels soft and smooth throughout the winter is easier than you think!
First, hydration is key. Make sure to moisturize your feet daily with a thick, rich foot cream for dry heels. Look for ingredients like urea, shea butter, or glycerin, which help to lock in moisture. Applying the cream right after a warm shower when your skin is slightly damp will boost its effectiveness.
Next, don’t forget to exfoliate. Use a foot scrub or pumice stone a few times a week to remove dead skin cells. This will allow your moisturizer to penetrate better and keep your heels smooth.
Also, consider wearing socks made of natural fibers like cotton or wool to keep your feet warm and to prevent moisture loss. At night, applying a heavy-duty foot care cream and then slipping on a pair of cotton socks can work wonders by morning.
Lastly, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. What you consume plays a big role in the health of your skin, so make sure you’re getting enough fluids.
