The 13 Best Foods For Healthy Skin
Your skin is not only the body's largest organ but also a reflection of your overall health. Maintaining healthy and radiant skin requires more than just external skincare products; it begins with the nutrients you provide your body from the inside. A well-balanced diet rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants can do wonders for your skin. In this article, we'll explore the 13 best foods for achieving and maintaining healthy, glowing skin.
1. Salmon:
Salmon is a fatty fish that's high in omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats help keep your skin moisturized and supple, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Omega-3s also have anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
2. Avocado:
Avocados are packed with healthy fats, vitamins E and C, and antioxidants. These nutrients help keep your skin hydrated, protect it from UV damage, and promote collagen production, which is essential for skin elasticity.
3. Sweet Potatoes:
Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant that can give your skin a healthy glow by protecting it from sun damage and preventing premature aging.
4. Berries:
Berries like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are loaded with antioxidants, particularly vitamin C. Antioxidants help combat free radicals, reducing skin cell damage and promoting a more youthful appearance.
5. Walnuts:
Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, which help maintain the skin's moisture and protect it from oxidative stress.
6. Spinach:
Spinach is rich in vitamin A, which is essential for skin health. It helps repair skin tissues, prevent acne, and maintain a healthy complexion.
7. Green Tea:
Green tea contains polyphenols and antioxidants that protect the skin from UV radiation and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Drinking green tea regularly can also help combat inflammation and keep your skin looking fresh.
8. Tomatoes:
Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, an antioxidant that can reduce the risk of sunburn and skin aging. It also promotes collagen production and skin elasticity.
9. Dark Chocolate:
High-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher) is rich in antioxidants, specifically flavonols, which can improve skin texture, hydration, and blood flow, giving your skin a healthy glow.
10. Almonds:
Almonds are rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays and environmental damage.
11. Yogurt:
Yogurt is packed with probiotics, which can promote a healthy gut. A balanced gut microbiome can lead to clearer skin by reducing inflammation and preventing acne.
12. Carrots:
Carrots are another great source of beta-carotene, which can help reduce skin dryness and promote a more youthful appearance.
13. Oats:
Oats are a good source of complex carbohydrates and fiber. They can help stabilize blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of acne and promoting clear skin.
While these foods can be a valuable addition to your diet for healthier skin, remember that no single food can work miracles. A well-rounded diet that includes a variety of nutrient-rich foods, along with proper hydration, is essential for achieving and maintaining radiant skin. Additionally, don't forget to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure, get enough sleep, and maintain a consistent skincare routine for the best results. Healthy, glowing skin is the result of both internal and external care, so make these foods a part of your daily routine and watch your skin thrive.

Hey there
I have pimples popping out since the past few days. And right now I’m on my period. But I didn’t used to have so many of these pimples. They’re not too big.And one has even left its mark on my cheekbone and I honestly hate it.I wonder how I can get rid of that mark and these pimples. And why I got them in the first place.
Hi love! It's really common to get more (or only get) acne during the week before or the week of your period due to the rise (Ovaluation to menstruation) or lack of progesterone (onset of your period) levels. These hormone fluctuations can increase the oil production in your skin, resulting in more clogged pores/acne.
Some of the best ways to help manage hormonal acne are through diet, skin hygiene, cardio/movement, and managing stress levels.
For diet, try to incorporate plenty of green vegetables, B vitamins, omega 3s/healthy fats, and plenty of fresh produce generally while avoiding dairy, soda, and highly processed foods.
For skincare, wash your face 2x/day, change your pillow cases weekly, towels at least weekly, wash your face and pat it dry with a disposable towel, don't touch your face without washing your hands, or consider trying retinoids.
Exercise, walks, sex, and meditation are great stress management tools. Also, for some people, birth control pills/IUDs are really helpful to control acne if you want to explore that option.
Hope this helps xx

Tips For A Smoothy Skin
Are you ready to have skin that's smoother than a baby's bottom? Well, buckle up because I'm about to drop some skincare truth bombs that will have you rethinking your entire routine.
Now, I know what you're thinking. "But wait, isn't washing your face twice a day the golden rule"? Well, here's a secret for you: sometimes less is more. Instead of scrubbing your face like you're trying to erase a bad memory, why not try a gentle cleanser and let your skin breathe? Let's give those precious pores a break, shall we?
And speaking of breaks, let's take a moment to appreciate the power of moisturizer. It's not just for dry skin, my friends! Even if you're an oily mess, a lightweight moisturizer can actually help balance your skin's oil production.
Now, let's talk about exfoliation. It's like a mini spa day for your face but without the hefty price tag.‍️ Here's the catch: moderation is key! Over-exfoliating can actually do more harm than good, leaving your skin feeling raw and sensitive. So, just keep it gentle and exfoliate no more than twice a week.
And last but not least, sunscreen! ☂️ I know it's not the most exciting step in your skincare routine, but trust me, it's the most important one. Think of it as your shield against the sun's harmful rays. So, slather it on as if your life depends on it!
So, my fellow skincare enthusiasts, are you ready to revolutionize your routine and unleash the glow within? ✨ Let's simplify skincare routines by avoiding harsh chemicals. Your skin will thank you! Drop a comment below and tell me, what's your favorite skincare tip that you've learned along the way Let's share the wisdom and glow together! ✨

Dermadventures ✨
So I changed my dermatologist, again. Cuz the last one I went to the past 2 months was not working good at all.
Anyways, I thought that the Dr's tone was a bit aggressive. Turns out it was just the shock reaction. Cuz she's like : what's your problem, and I took out my last blood test results and all the prescriptions the other Dr gave me. And she's started to explain what's going on and she was talking with a hard tone Bec the stiff the other Dr prescriped were horrible, according to her he gave me 4x the dosage of a certain med and the creams he prescribed were all wrong for my skin. and she explained the steps I should take and stuff, I feel like she's gonna be great. I have high hopes for this one :3

How to Achieve Timeless Beauty: 9 Expert Anti-Aging Tips for Youthful Skin!
Ah, the quest for eternal youth! Who wouldn't want to defy the hands of time and keep that youthful glow? Here are nine anti-aging tips that might just help you do that:
Stay Hydrated: Water is your skin's best friend. It keeps your skin hydrated, plump, and helps maintain its elasticity. So, bottoms up!
Protect Yourself from the Sun: Sunscreen is your shield against aging. UV rays can be harsh on the skin, causing premature aging and wrinkles. Slather on that sunscreen, and your future self will thank you.
Eat a Balanced Diet: You are what you eat, and your skin reflects that. Load up on fruits, vegetables, and foods rich in antioxidants. They help combat free radicals and keep your skin looking fresh.
Get Your Beauty Sleep: They don't call it beauty sleep for nothing! Your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself during the night, so make sure to catch those Z's for a radiant complexion.
Say No to Smoking: Smoking is not only bad for your lungs but is also a fast track to wrinkles. It accelerates the aging process, leaving you with fine lines and dull skin. Kick the habit for a youthful glow.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize: Dry skin is more prone to wrinkles, so keep it moisturized. Choose a good quality moisturizer that suits your skin type and make it a daily ritual.
Exercise Regularly: Exercise not only keeps your body fit but also boosts circulation, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to your skin. That post-workout glow is not just a myth!
Limit Alcohol Intake: While the occasional glass of wine won't hurt, excessive alcohol can dehydrate your skin and lead to premature aging. So, sip wisely.
Stay Stress-Free: Easier said than done, I know. But stress can wreak havoc on your skin. Practice relaxation techniques, take breaks, and find time for activities that bring you joy.
Remember, it's not about fighting age but embracing it gracefully. These tips are just ways to keep your skin healthy and happy as the years go by. Cheers to aging like fine wine! 🍷

Rediscovering Radiance: A Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Pore Mask Review
Tumblr media
Sharing my recent encounter with the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask has been an unexpected delight. Being an enthusiast for groundbreaking skincare, the infusion of red bean into a modern pore mask intrigued me – a blend of heritage and innovation.
Initially, I must highlight the product's packaging, a harmonious fusion of simplicity and elegance, a nod to the brand's commitment to amalgamate traditional Korean beauty with a contemporary touch. Upon unveiling the jar, a gentle earthy aroma greeted me, evoking a sense of natural purity.
The mask's texture is remarkably silky, ensuring a seamless application process. The product effortlessly coated my skin, with a little going a long way. The lush consistency bestowed a sensation of opulence and indulgence, transforming the routine into a spa-like experience.
The exceptional aspect of the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Pore Mask lies in its inventive amalgamation of red bean powder and kaolin clay. This combination forms a mild exfoliant, tenderly purifying pores without undue abrasion. The mask's suggested duration culminated in a discreet cooling sensation – an unexpected comfort, both soothing and revitalizing.
Post-mask cleansing, my skin emerged revitalized and noticeably smoother. An encouraging revelation was the refined appearance of my pores, a commendable outcome. In contrast to masks that often leave the skin taut and arid, this creation struck an impeccable equilibrium – a profound cleanse, simultaneously preserving the skin's innate moisture.
Adhering to a regimen of this mask over a few weeks yielded steady progress. My skin's texture exhibited enhancement, and the prevalence of blackheads and congestion diminished around my nose and cheeks. Significantly, my sensitive skin encountered no irritation or redness, a significant advantage.
In culmination, the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask transcended my expectations, excelling in both performance and overall experience. Its harmonious amalgamation of tradition and innovation proffers a refreshing and efficient remedy for pore concerns. For those seeking a gentle yet efficacious inclusion in their skincare routine, I wholeheartedly advocate for the trial of this mask. An endearing testament to the resilience of historical beauty traditions within contemporary skincare.

I hate acne
My skin was doing so well for a year, and all of the sudden BAM ACNE!
I’ve struggled with bad forehead acne ever since i was 13, and just last year i found the perfect skin routine.
Now, i have cheek acne (which i’ve never had) and my forehead acne is back.
I think it might be from lack of sleep and makeup (even though i don’t even use concealer or foundation).
it’s just really annoying and draining when i grew up getting made fun of for my acne, especially after my skin did so good for over a year.
i hate it.
