Ohhh my disheveled BOYYY! I was originally going to make him large and scraggly in like the beard way, when I remembered he had kits super young and I do not see tree being a large bearded man when he was goofing flirting with violetshine oh no, so he will get a updated design when he's old <3

I love tree though, I like that we get to see a cat so different from the clans usual life and he's ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT!!!!!!!! and he wasn't forced to take a specific role!!! He got his own!!!! He's so cool!!! And sweet and AAAHHHH

I'm late I know- but he's here!!

2 things, first being I almost labeled him of Skyclan. Because while my designs tend to be based on their prime in the books (that's why only cats that we meet old are shown as old in my designs) it's just, the form I remember them most in. But the way I label them is based on their death. And technically when he died he was Rowanclaw of Skyclan not shadowclan. But I decided against it cause did you see those circumstances?? Shit was FUCKED man's had like no choice (once he reached that point-)

2. I remember, before I read aVOS when ever I watched, plot skit content or read about him on tumblr (spoof and completly non ironic posts) he got portrayed as kinda like a Harestar? Just. A coward who's clan fell into ruin because of his shitty ability and shame. So I was expecting this dude who couldn't make decisions and kept putting his clan in danger because of it. And the adults being to blinded by clan tradition to see as the Apprentices become more and more disgruntled with incompetence and THATS what leads them to Darktail...... but it's not that at all lolol, he just didn't want to commit constant war for no reason during a period of peace lol. He was very firm in his choices and later in the series was like desperate for violence lol. His clan fell apart due to over population and most of the adults becoming assholes who wanted nothing to do with the apprentices and didn't care. Like the moment I read the scene where the adults just watched where two apprentices like tore each other apart over a peice of prey for no reason I was like 'oh yeah I see that's why this shit happened.' Like Rowanclaws biggest fault in this was being a fucking negligent leader lol

Design notes!

Uneven fur lengths due to his chimerism. Most of his coat is sleek and short, especially around his torso, tail, and the length of his face and ears. Much longer, thicker fur grows naturally from his tail-tips, mane, belly, legs, ear fluff, and from the sides of his face.

Polycaudal! I think I was one of the first to come up with this idea, but I could totally be wrong… Means “many-tailed”; very rare, but something that can occur in real cats in real life!

Sectoral heterochromia in both eyes.

Tons of striking, stylized markings. His left ginger tortie leg is styled like a star, while the patch over his eyes is like a circle or an eclipse.

Each of his paws are unique. Hind left has ginger and brown spots; upper left has ginger toes; hind right has a single brown toe; upper right is pure white.

Scarring includes: A slash on his jaw, made by Leafstar on accident while being driven from SkyClan; this is purely headcanon.
