in contrast, future alchemists agonizing over Xelzaz' thousands of alchemical discoveries a night before their finals, bemoaning why he was so diligent in cranking out formula after formula because now they have so much to memorize

historians and casual history buffs alike locked in discourse on whether or not the last prince of the Thalmor actually colluded with the Dragonborn in the Second Great War to help bring down the Dominion, with vaguely-worded correspondence for evidence

adaptations of the tale where every single follower is at least someone's 'blorbo'

the ballad of Inigo the Brave being a cultural touchstone for Khajiit rep and spawning Tamriel's version of the rogue, underdog hero archetype. even when it's a totally fictional work, if the protagonist (or charming side character) is weirdly charismatic, roguishly handsome, and with a heart of gold, chances are the creator was inspired by Inigo's legacy.

the massive misunderstandings of the dragonborn's original history. Thanks to anti-Thalmor sentiments long after the Second Great War, Nebarra was deemed as a traitor figure to the Dragonborn, but this sentiment was overturned centuries after uncovering contemporaries' journal entries on their friendship

when you ask someone who they think Sir Kaidan was to the dragonborn, there's an equal chance of them firmly believing he was their lover, platonic best friend, or loyal but professional lieutenant. they will have reams of evidence to back it up, no matter which stance they take.

many who have felt that they never perfectly fit into the demands of their faith or community, not just bosmer, resonating with Auri's story. realizing that while they may be an outlier in their own eyes, they can still do a lot of good in the world, and that has to count for something.

common sayings based on (real or not) stories of the followers. if a place is crowded, it's common to joke, "guess the dragonborn's in town."

Ema-san, who translated Nebarra's lines into Japanese, said, "It would be nice if Nebarra could use his fists when he can't push through with his sword. Because he must have learned how to fight on the battlefield." I thought that was a great idea, so I couldn't help but draw it!

People who use custom followers in Skyrim, how do you manage having 6 or 7 following you around? I'm trying it out because I want to do a 100% playthrough with everyone soon, and I feel like I'm an exhausted preschool teacher leading around a class on a really messed up field trip.

-I have to always keep an eye on Lucien because he doesn't have a summoning spell if I lose him.

-Khash is always a mile behind whenever I look back to check on everyone, so I have to wait for her to catch up.

-Caryalind is always trailing behind, though not as far behind as Khash. He's actually not too difficult to deal with.

-Gore is pretty easy to manage because he pops behind me all the time. But he has a habit of knocking into me and throwing off my bow aim. Sometimes he even pops in front of me and gets shot, making me reload because I can't take the guilt of shooting him.

-Indigo is a mixed bag. Sometimes he keeps close, but other times I'll hear Lucien call back to him and find him jogging in the distance with Khash. Sometimes he'll knock into me as he runs ahead of the whole group. He's like the kid who gets easily distracted and overly excited.

-Taliesin can sometimes get stuck across a river, but it's easy to keep his summoning spell equipped since it's a power, not a spell. I just feel really guilty when I use it since he made a point of how much it hurts. Sometimes I'll also realize he's been stuck sneaking for like 10 minutes after we've all gotten up. Luckily he's louder, so I always hear everything he says.

-And Nebarra is the really quiet, easy to manage kid who ends up getting ignored. I'll hear him whispering something and I have to keep running back so I can actually hear his dialogue. I feel bad about it because I was that kid.

I really wish there was a mod for one of those ropes with the plastic rainbow rings so everyone would hold on and not get lost. I would put Nebarra in front so I could actually hear him. I think Taliesin would enjoy being the person in back who loudly tattles whenever anyone lets go. But like not in a "Mx. DB, Gore let go" kind of way. More like in a smug, indirect way.

Specifically Gwalchmai. I could even voice him myself like— but I don’t even know where to start

If I did make him as a custom follower I’d also DESPERATELY want to have him be compatible with Taliesin or at least comment on his presence

I’d want him to comment on Caryalind and Nebarra too.

Moreover, he’d run into combat laughing. If I could make him run with the same cursed sneak-run animation Astarion does in BG3 I 100% would. He’s a vampire, of course he runs teeth first

It’d be really cool if I could give him custom spells too with an initial animation similar to the rage that barbarians can do in BG3

Play Diary 2 Misleading

Continued from previous cartoon. I think Nebarra is going to say things in a way that is deliberately misleading - I think.

Oh, and I am traveling with my custom follower mod Taliesin. He's a charming altmer.

Made a new oc! His name is Von, son of Kyne, and guide of the fallen!

Von is a demi-god, son of Kyne, who watched over souls in Sovengarde and helps lead them to the Hall of Valor.

Obviously, being the son of Kyne, he always did know the thu'um and used it to aid warriors in Sovengarde.

However, all would change with Alduin. Von and Alduin have a long history of battles against one another. But it wasn't till the Nords of the Merethic era would fall quickly during their rebelion that the two's anger towards one another would come to a head.

Von would meet Alduin in the snowy fields of Skyrim, demanding Alduin to stop. This led to a large fight. For a while, it seemed the two to be evenly matched, but at one point, Alduin gained the advantage by bitting off Von's hand and shouting at him. Using a thu'um that caused Von to fall in a deep slumber.

As the years went by, Von laid in the snow, soon covered by the thickness and laying dormant in it for thousands of years.

Soon enough, he awoken. But all was not well, Von remembers nothing of who he once was except his name.

As a mess and not knowing where he was, Von began to wander Skyrim.

He started to take small, odd jobs to get by. These jobs would slowly begin to lead him to places where he started to meet others like him; lost, in their own ways.

Taliesin kept telling Von he should at least try to look more presentable.

Von just somewhat chuckled and asked, "What do you suggest?"

The Mer looks to Khash. "Khash, would you be so kind to get our friend's hair under control?"

The Argonian girl could barley contain her excitement!

While he knows nothing of who he once was (yet,) Von is happy with the life he's building so far.

Sadly, Alduin knows how to hold a grudge and longs to devor the rest of the demi-god who's flesh he tasted.
