That feeling when reaching a #checkpoint after 7-8 hours on the sled in windy and extremely cold conditions. The dogs always came first, so no relaxing. It's hard work. First we had to put up lines for the dogs, get them out of their harnesses and into their jackets. Next up: Boil water from the snow so we could prepare food for the dogs from the meat we chopped up with our axes. 250 dogs, that's a looot of meat. Then, feed the dogs 🐶 While we waited for the dogs to eat up, we started getting our tents up. Not always easy and often the snow was so soft and deep that we had to wear snowshoes 😤 After the tents where ready, we had to clean up after the dogs and gather their bowls. After hours of work we finally could start over with making fire on our @primusequipment and boil some more water for our own meals! This was the biggest moment of the evening. Eating @realturmat 👌 The best (and Norwegian) food you can get! We got special Arctic versions slampacked with all the good stuff our bodies desperately needed. Boy it was good! 😋 After that, it was basically good night after preparing for the next day and getting your gear organized 😴 http://ift.tt/2p03qXV
