On my return home from a road trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, I came upon this abandoned Presbyterian Church in Taiban, New Mexico. My car came to a screeching halt eager to capture its beauty on film. This is just one of many shots that I got. Later, I read an article titled "City of Dust: Taiban, New Mexico - Whiskey and the Devil", by John Mulhouse that tells the story of this intriguing town that is famous for being the location where Billy the Kid was captured. This is what I love about road trips. An unexpected "stumbled across" spot that has been photographed by many. Hey small townies,

My favorite part of living in a small town is that at first glance it looks peaceful but if you look closer you get to the real drama. Living in Illinois many people may think that us townies are sweet but I can tell you that is false. I go to school with mean girls. Being a quiet kid I tend to listen more than talk so I know lots of things about a lot of people. Things that could ruin their reputations and their monarchy in our school. Not only do I have rumors of students but also teachers. Stay tuned through my journey through middle school into high school.

Anyways so I'm retiring #smalltownnews, and even though I can't discuss a lot of the new job I CAN talk about things that happen in court. So I'd like to introduce new tag #pocketdocket

Yesterday on #pocketdocket:

I used a bathroom that literally had a security code to unlock the door. It wasn't even a fancy bathroom.

I watched a dude take a hit of something in the hall and then walk into the courtroom.

"I don't have money but I have income." JUST SAY YOU DO DRUGS OH MY GOSH.

Someone with blue eyebrows.

Judge: Give me your history of convictions from the last 10 years for which you've served jail time.

Defendant: That's a long list buddy.

Judge:....Just....give it to me.

Defendant: Let's see...it's 2018 so ten years. Oh yeah, there's some good ones.

The judge's ringtone is the ET theme. I know this because it went off during court proceedings. Multiple times.
