Every day, every week, every month, every year that I have waited with baited breath to meet you in this moment melts away. You are perfect. You were worth every second.
One final post for today. Pumpkin Spice has been very swollen with eggs but not showing any signs of nesting, so I figured she had a few more days at least and I thawed a frodent for her dinner today in case she was hungry.
Color me surprised to find her snuggled around a perfect clutch of 11 eggs (our magic number!) and very ready for a snack.
Sneggwatch 2020 has now concluded Phase 1, with all expected clutches laid and put in the incubator. We may yet see a few encores, but main focus now shifts to preparing for hatchlings! Cowgirl and Gjallarhorn's clutch of hognose snoots should be starting to make their way into the world within the next week or so.
So here we've got a weird pattern on what looks to be a very brown Hypo Masque, and either a Phantom or a Platinum, I'm not sure which. Either way these two little ones are both stunning.
