it only makes sense, knowing how much of the story happened because of them...

thinking about how, during the post-battle of heaven and earth peace tour, armin and co will probably downplay their relationship with eren to save face. when future textbooks mention armin the hero and eren the devil, their friendship will be erased entirely. armin will be praised for hundreds of years to come, and eren will be damned, and future generations won’t know they are two sides of the same coin.

The way I just know Levi smells good.
Listen, I know he doesn't exist, but you feel me right? He smells divine.

I just can't help but think that Levi used to dressed up well, like head to toe, I'm-going-out-in-5min well when he's at home (even with no visitors that day).
But once you moved in and showed him the comfy of being in whatever he likes, he would only dress in his boxers all the time. He would wear his tight boxer shorts in the house (and if the weather is cold, a faded oversized t shirt from some lucky draw you got years ago). He enjoys being half naked and feeling the breeze from the open balcony.
It's freedom, angel, he said.
You had to install those semi opaque curtains at the balcony so someone wouldn't see Levi drinking his tea naked in the living room 😜

JeanMarco in which Jean slowly falls for Marco while Marco always thought they were a couple is so funny to me guys like you don't understand how much I love this concept of, you know,,, Jean having this realization that he's in love with his best friend and getting so anxious about it because what if Marco doesn't feel the same??? Mikasa was proof enough that confessing wasn't an option, he didn't want to ruin their friendship. But man doesn't he love Marco so much.
Meanwhile Marco is like 'Man I wonder what my boyfriend is doing right now' while working on his ODM with Armin. 'I can't wait to spend some time with Jean, maybe we will go star watching tonight'. To Marco they're already married with two kids coming soon. Don't ask him how he gets hold of two kids, he's working on it. The idea is that they are together your honor

To confess, I’m not great at drawing eren.
Despite the amount of times I had drawn him, I still don’t fully get him. It could be that I’m too dumb or too much of a casual fan for deep analysis, but AOT has failed to conclude his character for me.
To me Eren is a deeply traumatized individual who failed to mature. He’s a self-righteous man child. But there’s also some ancient evil yadayada messing with his head that isayama couldn’t clear up it up for me, so at this point I still don’t know why eren committed rumbling.
Interestingly, this shows in my art HAHA.
Most of my eremin art is seen from armin’s POV, eren remains either a mystery or partially seen. Eren from Armin’s POV works better in my drawings bc he’s an incomplete character, a huge mystery even, he makes no sense to me sometimes, but above all he’s a symbol of doom and rage.
(“POV” is rather vague in illustrations esp when a lot of them can be objective. To me POV applies when the drawing leans toward one character’s bias, feelings, and how they see things.)
Here’s an example of Eren from Armin’s POV:

Altho one thing I understand for sure is his relationship with armin, the way he idolizes and adores him, putting him on the pedestrian (and doom him in the process)
My Eren’s POV art:

Just watched the last episode of AoT, and man it's wild that I started reading the manga and watching the show when I started high school and now it's finished as I graduate college
Anyways, here are my shower thoughts:
Attack on Titan is a tragedy. Obviously. Eren is young, foolish, and emotional, as many tragedy protags tend to be, ala Hamlet.
But what I think a lot of people take issue with is that a lot of people tend to view the story thru a shounen lens of the main character is the good guy and is always fighting for what's right, and once he wins, everything will turn out great - which is ahem not aot in the slightest
And I think that's how you get all those people showing their support for one side or the other, especially with the jeagerists. Cuz Eren's the main character and ofc he's in the right, he's the mc!
But that's not what a tragedy is about. It's not about the epic fights or about defeating a single opponent and then everything turning out dandy. It's about the consequences of your actions, no matter your intentions, and the cycle of anger and violence that keeps ever turning. And Aot is a really well written tragedy in my opinion! It really spells across how hopeless you are in the face of war and violence and how this violence can create people who believe they're doing right but are actually just causing more death and destruction (really my mind is just going crazy with the Hamlet/Eren parallels here). Eren is 19, angry, traumatized, and trapped by all this crazy future and past knowledge that can't be good for his psyche obviously. He's not the same as a shounen protag, you can't expect him to be in the right, and for everything to turn out okay after what he's done, basically. Tragedies end in tragedy unfortunately
Anyways tldr: Aot is a tragedy and Eren is a literal 19yo who was not gonna make the right decisions and that's the point - and not enough people view it this way. I haven't seen people's reactions to the anime finale yet but I feel like quite a few people might not like the ending, or who knows maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised

I finally watched the final episode and i gotta say... This ended up being my favorite episode of the entire series.
The animation, the ost, the voice acting, the feelings were all so well rounded. I really like the changes they did to the dialogue between Eren and Armin too.
Armin's VA outdid herself for sure! Every scene of Armin was 10/10.
Levi was 11/10 as usual.
I sure am sad they removed the plane scene but then Levi giving out food to the people who lost their homes and helping them rebuild is so fitting for his character. He is continuing to fight for humanity's betterment until the end in any way he can.
Loved that Mappa focused most on Hange in the final scene of Levi dedicating his heart to the SC for the last time of course. My Levihan heart got fed well.
All in all, a really great sendoff.
The ending was surely improved from the manga.

something about the trope of characters doomed by fate before the story even begins, that no action they take can change the outcome, and the fact that Eren was dead from the moment we first saw him

It might be a triviality what I'm about to say but I think that Erwin's death was a pivotal point for Levi.
I think that's the first time he was truly hit with what it means to be as strong as he is. Being humanity's strongest soldier'll likely mean that you'll see many dear people fall, even the ones that rescued you, even the ones that had been a certainty up until then.

Thinking about the time Zeke really underestimated Levi and thought turning his comrades into titans would kill him because he wouldn’t be able to kill them. Lmao what an idiot
