Since yall seem to like my other AUs/headcanons, I've decided to rant a bit about my 'main' one :3 (kept vague to avoid spoilers)

Small summary: (more indepth rant below)

it's a villan & hero hermitcraft / life series / empires au, focused on bad boys (at least during the first arc). Joel creates a bar as a cover for a fighting ring/information selling business, joined by pearl effo gem grian and jimmy. Grian refuses to participate in the criminal activities at first, but doesn't rat them out either. (inspired by his resisting the resistance thing in s9)

However, as u can probably guess, this doesn't last long and he slowly gets more n more involved, especially once random people mysteriously start getting "the red curse", which he recognizes from his past... (hehe watcher lore) Grian continues to pretend to stay uninvolved while trying to keep the Watchers at bay behind the scenes, even going as far as creating multiple alter egos / secret identities in order to hide his involvement.... (poultry man, cute guy, mother spore,...) Sadly, the Watchers think identity reveals are incredibly amusing and make it their mission to reveal Grians secrets... :)

Some more background info:

Joel is a fairly new villain who has decided to start a business focused on fighting rings, selling information and just generally doing criminal stuff. (inspired by his secret fighting club in s10). He basically started out as an investigative journalist in another city, but got more n more involved with both villains and heroes (which is how he knows jimmy) before joining a cult (watcher lore watcher lore watcher lore-) and suddenly dissappearing.

Although he went missing a few years ago, they manage to track him down. He joins, but tells them he's not involved in the world of villains anymore and that he wants to stay out of everything (so hes basically working in the bar that they use as a cover as a 'normal' employee and turns a blind eye to anything criminal going on)

That's kind of the start of the story? Afterwards, Pearl, a villain who used to be a vigilante that worked with Scott (<-number one hero), then got betrayed by him and is now plotting his murder, joins in. Later on etho joins, who is originally sent by the hermits as a spy (<- p big villain&vigilante alliance in the city) but ends up deciding to side w/ them. (BOAT BOYS BOAT BOYS BOAT BOYS-)

(pearl & Scott's conflict is ofc a double life ref and etho is a mycelium resistance ref, he also ends up finding out about some of grians secrets and helping him behind the scenes)

Although its focused on the members of the bar, later on it focuses more on other hermits (since they get more involved w/ the villain group "hermits" which most of the hermits are a part of) but there's also some side stories that focus on other ppl (there's a whole side story about Ren and Doc getting to know each other after Ren gets infected by the curse, or martyn whole listener thing & how it's connected to renchanting/ren getting cursed and the Watchers showing up in the first place... But i dont wanna spoil too much :3)

Oh also! Hermits r mainly criminals(vigilantes, villains, big salmom mafia,...) and Empires members r usually heroes! But there is some exceptions to this rule. (jimmy n martyn for example)

Pokemon King & Queen

Pokemon K&Q is a fangame set in Orvana, a region that consists of two islands - Ruvia and Valorik. You and your twin live on a ranch with your father while your mother is away being the champion of the region. As you traverse Orvana, you will find 'dungeons', pockets of reality in which a primary type thrives with complete shiny odds but you cannot use regular pokeballs in them due to the space-time disruptions, but these balls do not become available until you've beaten the first gym. The elite four and a connected city will be on the island you don't start on.

This region is somewhat open world, and the gym leaders will change their teams based on how many pokemon you have. There will be some locations blocked off because you don't have the right pokemon or don't have enough team members, and others like the elite four and the second island may be blocked off by badge count. Some areas will also be without access according to story progression, but these will mostly be tied to evil team actions.

Mechanics

Depending on if you choose the Queen or King version of the game, you will start on different islands with access to different pokemon. When you reach the second island, the pokemon the other 'version' has access to become available at extremely low chances to preserve 'version seperation' without the need to figure out how to implement trades but they are only available on the second island.

Speaking of trades, I am thinking about them happening when you move between islands instead, meaning they don't become available until you're halfway through the game, but they will have to be holding an item.

I have four primary mechanical additions.

First is pokemon with three types. I have a mechanic similar to tera but it doesn't replace a type it adds, and the legendaries will likely both have 3 types without any extra items, or have a 'powered down' form in the same manner as Zacian and Zamacenta. This is essentially a reskinned mega evolution combined with tera typing.

Second, I added 2 more types, partially just so the Elite Four (which focus on a single type) don't overlap with gyms but allow all types to be used. (I'm thinking about the champion using a random team typing but that one is still uncertain).

Cosmic

Strong: Fairy, Dark

Weak: Psychic, Dragon

Resist: Sound

Sound

Strong: Psychic, Fighting

Weak: Electric, Ground

Resist: Dragon

Third is my gyms being dual-typed. I have some already figured out but not all of them

The Elite Four will be 'weaker' types - Normal, Bug, Ice, and Poison

Fourth is shiny dungeons. Like the safari zone you can only use special pokeballs for the dungeons, but you can still fight the pokemon with increased experience gain. These dungeons are being created by the evil team trying to manipulate probability among other things to force the legendaries to show up.

Maps

These are the most recent images I have for the areas in the region.

First is Valorik's Overgrove Town.

This lovely area is nestled between a forest and some mountains and is home to the Grass/Rock Gym leader Rosetta who's ace is a regional marowak.

The pond is home to many magikarp, but you might find a few menashell, rowdy water/fighting types.

Second is Valorik's Fenn Ranch.

This has been covered before but I added more space to the pens and moved the berry farm. Each pen houses s different variety of animal.

Top left contains Miltank, Tauros, and the regional prevo of both, Kalva, a small blue cattle.

Top right contains Mareep and Wooloo, as well as a Stoutland to keep an eye on them and a Lillipup in training to be a herd dog.

Middle pen contains Ponyta, Rapidash, Mudbray, and Mudsdale.

Bottom Pen contains Torchic and the currently unnamed Turkey Pokemon - Which will likely be Normal/Fighting, Ground/Fighting, or Normal/Ground.

Fandom Doodle Dump

And now, time for the "bad sketches" portion of the upload night.

1-5) Zam Doodles. Some other sketches I did to celebrate Zam winning the poll. The first couple were done before I realized that the poll ended on Valentine's Day, so the last few are more themed for it. I really like the idea of the last one, Zam helping the others make sweets for the day, but it was just too much for me to do last minute.

6) Vs. Anne Glerr. A sketch for the Vs. SAYU redux album cover. I haven't changed it too much from the original upload, it's mostly just the intro made to follow the song's beats a little better.

7) Saychu. Was originally gonna be a part of a collage of Sayu imitating various Miku memes. Since she's NSR's equivalent of Miku, I figured it was fitting.

8) Human!Primid, Poppant, and Mite. I still haven't quite found the fine line of both making them look like direct humanizations of the original enemy and like they're derivative of my human!Mr. Game & Watch. The biggest factor is really the nose since GW's is very prominent, but the original enemies have none. I thought shrinking it might help, but I dunno. It just doesn't feel right.

9-10) Human?Master Hand/Crazy Hand. I dunno, these might be some that I have to start from scratch from, because I'm too used to hanging onto to the gimmick that they're supposed to slightly resemble Sakurai since they're the "gods" of this world, and he's the creator of the series, but it makes them look a little too friendly. I'll think on it a bit. I feel like they could definitely use more "hand" imagery in their designs.

11) Human?Tabuu redesign. I'm also redoing him. I'm basically redoing everybody. This is only 1 of a handful of other sketches I did, but this is the only one I feel is worth posting.

I've been trying to come at him from a few different angles. For starters, the long hair has to stay: it's supposed to represent how he's been trapped in Subspace for so long that his hair's been growing out of control (and then it gets cut once he escapes Subspace). I've considered having his hair cover his eyes in this form to represent how his original form doesn't have eyes, but I'm not totally sold on it.

The other thing I've been trying is different outfit inspirations. His old design was supposed to be a combination of a genie-esque look crossed with loungewear, since I characterize him partially as a hikikomori. It was supposed to be easy to move in, but still a little form-fitting since his original form is naked.

For this one, I went for a kind of "jester + fae king" approach. It's supposed to mirror G&W's clown motifs, and it works with his puppet master schtick too. I added the primid's collar + cuffs to also add some slight prisoner imagery since he's also trapped in Subspace (presumably against his will), but I'm not totally sold on it.
