All Fanny Win & Lose Quotes Translated (Guilty Gear Petit)
As the title says, this will be a translation of all* Win & Lose quotes involving Fanny from Guilty Petit and Guilty Gear Petit 2.
(*Except for the mirror match quote, if one exists, because it looks like you can’t get a proper mirror match in single player.)
I thought these would be interesting to know about, since they’re pretty much the only characterization Fanny gets outside of the Petit 1 & 2 story modes, plus getting to see a bit of how the other characters react to her.
EDIT: I have since also translated all of the Petit 1 & 2 story modes (yes, all of them)- check those out here.
--
Some more things to note before we get started:
Characters who appear in both Petit 1 and 2 have identical Win and Loss quotes in both games.
The final roster also includes four “GG” characters: GG Sol Badguy, GG May, GG Millia Rage, and GG Ky Kiske.
These four characters are essentially their base form counterparts, but with an alternate moveset inspired by the first Guilty Gear game. They are given different color schemes to differentiate them in gameplay, but they are effectively treated like they are the same characters, even though they have separate quotes and story modes.
The only exception is GG Ky Kiske, who is actually Robo-Ky!
Finally, in terms of status-quo, the characters are roughly plucked from around the Guilty Gear X era - for example Dizzy is part of the Jellyfish Pirates, but Zato-1 hasn’t fully passed away yet (but is still controlled by Eddie.)
Though the stories of these games are really more on the humorous side.
Now, onto the actual translations!

Fanny Win Quotes
(These are the quotes Fanny herself says when defeating these characters.)
Sol Badguy: せんせいは、かんじゃさんに リラックス してもらおうと おもっているからこそ あんなにユーモアにあふれているのです。 The doctor wants to help his patients relax, that's why he's so full of humor.
Ky Kiske: すみません、せのたかくてスマートで ウィットにとんだせかいさいこうのめいい、 ごぞんじないですか? Excuse me? Do you happen to know about the tall, suave, witty, and overall greatest doctor in the entire world?
May: せんせいはえいせいてきにかんがえて、 あたまをそっていらっしゃるのです。 …たぶん。 The doctor shaves his head for hygienic purposes. …I think.
Millia Rage: ねんのため くすり だしておきますね。 I'm giving you some medicine, just in case.
Potemkin: わたしのオデコのほうが かたかったみたいです。 Looks like my forehead is harder.
Kuradoberi Jam: せんせいのようしですか? あしがながくて くびもながい ひかりかがやいているかたですわ。 What does the doctor look like? He has long legs, and a long neck, and he's just a positively radiant person.
Mito Anji: せんせいもあなたのように ステキなめがねをしてらしたのよ。 The doctor was also wearing lovely glasses, just like you.
Johnny: ステキなけんさばきでしたわ、 でも せんせいにはかないませんわね。 That was some fine swordplay, but you still can't hold a candle to the doctor.
Faust: ああっ、せんせい… どこにいってしまわれたのでしょうか? Oh, Doctor… Where could you have gone?
Chipp Zanuff: ぜひ けんけつをおねがいします。 きっと ちが おおすぎるのですわ。 Please consider donating blood. I'm sure you have too much of it.
Axl Low: ごめんなさい、わたしは「はくいのてんし」 わたしのあいは みなさんびょうどうですの。 I'm sorry, but I'm a "white angel"- I love everyone equally.
(Translator's Note: “はくいのてんし/hakui no tenshi”, meaning “white angel” is a non-official term sometimes used for nurses in Japanese, as far as I can tell. As far as I’ve heard, this term might’ve come from the legacy of Florence Nightingale, particularly the 1937 movie based around her life called “The White Angel”. Obviously likening nurses to angels is a thing in English too, but I still wanted to explain the details here.)
Zato-1 (Eddie): あなたぜひ せんせいのオペを うけるべきですわ! You should absolutely get surgery from the doctor!
Testament: せいしんあんていざいを うっておきました。 もうだいじょうぶ! I have given you sedatives. Everything will be fine now!
GG Sol Badguy: せんせいのすばらしさがわからないんですか? おきのどくに。 Don't you know just how wonderful the doctor is? How unfortunate.
GG May: せんせいは「ハゲ」ではありません! 「ボウズ」ですわ!! The doctor is NOT bald! He just shaves!!
GG Millia Rage: あなたのこころのキズ、はやく せんせいに みてもらったほうがいいと おもいますわ。 I think you'd better let the doctor take a look at your broken heart as soon as possible.
GG Ky Kiske (Robo-Ky): あなた すぐにせんせいに みていただいたほうがいいわ! せんせい!!きゅうかんです!! You should go see the doctor right away! Doctor!! It's an emergency!!

Fanny Defeated Quotes
(These are the quotes these characters say to Fanny when they defeat her.)
Sol Badguy: かんごふってのは、みな、こうだったか? Are all nurses like this?
Ky Kiske: かんごふ というのもまた からだをはる しごとなのですね。 I suppose being a nurse, too, is quite the physically demanding line of work.
May: ボクもずっと すきなひと さがしてからわかるよ。そのきもち。 I'm always chasing after someone I like, too. So I get how you feel.
Millia Rage: さいきん えだげが ひどいのよね。 いいくすりしらない? I've been having awful split ends lately. Do you know any remedy for that?
Potemkin: ずいぶん かわった たたかいだったな… That sure was a strange battle…
Kuradoberi Jam: ちょっと、やりすぎたアル…って ねてるアルか? Whoops, I think I overdid it… Wait- Are you asleep?
Mito Anji: 「まてば かいろのひよりあり」ってね がんばって さがしな "Good things come to those who wait", you know. So hang in there and keep on searching, alright?
(Translator's Note: What Anji says in the first line is a Japanese idiom that would literally translate to “waiting for fair weather at a sea route”, in case you’re curious. But it does essentially mean “Good things come to those who can wait.”)
Johnny: とう「ジェリーフィッシュかいぞくだん」では チャーミングなナース ぼしゅうちゅうだ むかしのおとこ わすれさせてやるぜ? The Jellyfish Pirates are looking to hire a charming nurse right now, so what d'ya say? I'll make you forget all about that other guy.
Faust: 「いりょうのみちは いちにちしてなら。」 かんじゃへの あいのみに いきるべきです。 "The path of medicine isn't forged in a day." You should live only for your love towards your patients.
Chipp Zanuff: へんなねーちゃんだな? おれはどこもけがしちゃいねーけどな。 What's with this chick? I wasn't even hurt anywhere.
Axl Low: 「はくいのてんし」はすきだけど もうちょっと おとなしいほうがすきだぜ? I do like "white angels", but… I'd like it even better if you were a bit more gentle, eh?
Zato-1 (Eddie): モウオソイワ コイツトオレハキリハナセンヨ。 YOU ARE TOO LATE. HE AND I CANNOT BE SEPERATED.
Testament: わたしに いりょうなど ひつようない。 I have no need for medical care.
GG Sol Badguy: かんごふがくるとこじゃねぇぜ、ここは。 This is no place for a nurse.
GG May: さいきんのかんごふって ずいぶん つよいのね? Nurses are pretty tough these days, huh?
GG Millia Rage: ボーっとしてるから…。 That's what you get for spacing out…
GG Ky Kiske (Robo-Ky): カカカンゴフ トトトトイウノモモモマタ カカカラダヲハル ㇱ、シゴトナノデスネネ。 I- I- I SUPPOSE BEING A- A- A- A- A NURSE, T-T-TOO, IS QUITE T-T-T-THE PHYSICALLY D-DEMANDING LINE OF WORK-K.

Cool Buffs El Should Get in the Next Stranger Things Patch (Season 5)
Also a discussion of how El's powers work, because they're really fun to think about. If any of these actually happen in the show I will spontaneously combust. Anyway, here are my ideas:
Learning hand-to-hand combat/martial arts and incorporating it into her powers.Ok, so the theory goes like this: what is El’s most consistent weakness when it comes to combat? Overtaxing herself and then being unable to continue fighting—barring some intense surge of emotions to act as an emergency energy burst, which is neither a dependable nor healthy thing to rely on in the long term. No, what El needs to do to mitigate this weakness as much as possible is learn to be more economical with her psychic attacks and incorporate more physicality into her moveset. Think of it as having both a mental and physical battery. So far in the show, she has pretty much exclusively utilized her mental battery when doing anything. I mean, she literally stances up to stand completely still while using her powers most of the time, which works if she can take every enemy out at once, but every other time it ends either badly or extremely badly. The worst example of this is during the cabin mindflayer fight where she just stands still after fucking up a couple tendrils (which took like, waay to much effort btw), and then gets grabbed very easily due to her legs being completely stationary along with her subpar reaction time (probably not helped by being overexerted). She then panics and doesn’t do anything to try to free herself from its grasp, which is fair enough, but still. There’s room for improvement here. Of course, this is good storytelling because it would be really boring if she was super op, flicking every threat out of the way, but I think s5 should get to be the late-game, full-build, onslaught arena season. El (and everyone else) is at full power but so are her enemies, who attack in hoards. Anyway, this is all to justify the first powerpoint that I will be giving to the Duffers: Reasons why El should learn hand-to-hand combat and also incorporate physical movements into her powers Avatar:TLA-style:
1. She’ll get tired less easily. Being economical with attacks means instead of squeezing a dude’s body to death for like 5 seconds, maybe just snap his neck? Or throw a sharp object at him? Or break his kneecap? She could break a lot more kneecaps in a row than she could squeeze dudes to death, and if she had a weapon to throw around? Forget it. And that’s not even bringing the combat training into the mix. She could throw a knife across the room into a guy’s neck, while ducking under another guy’s attack, kick him in the knee (with a little extra psychic force), and then call the knife back in time to stab him on the way to the floor. If she fights half-physical half-psychic that means neither battery gets depleted too quickly, and she could take down an entire squad of npcs and walk away with nothing but a light nosebleed. Also, 2. It would look really cool. Like really super fucking cool. Go ahead and imagine how cool it would be. Listen, the stand-still hhnng-ing really hard psychic fights are cool and all but I mean, we can do better than that. She does already do the hand thing most of the time, but I want like full-body motions here. Big dramatic sweeping martial arts motions that perfectly match the force she’s applying to objects. Her powers are clearly emotion/perception-based, so by that logic, anything she does to make it feel like her attack should be stronger will actually make it stronger. i.e. she should swing her body around harder, and coincidentally land in really cool anime poses while doing it. 3. It would demonstrate mastery over her powers. Having to stand still to concentrate is really giving training wheels vibes. Although, I do have a theory on why she does that: I imagine her powers require her to use either her whole body or a part of it as a sort of anchor that she moves the thing she’s telekinesis-ing in relation to. Or alternatively, she can apply more force to an object the more of her body she’s using as a conduit for her powers. So like, standing still to concentrate while moving a heavy object is still easier, especially if we aren’t using the physical motion augmentation method. When she’s got her arm outstretched she’s directing the power from her brain down through her arm, making it stronger and easier to direct, which makes it actually feel like the power is flowing out down through her chest into her arm vs if she uses her powers without conducting them it feels like they flow straight out of her brain, which is harder to control because it's completely thought based. When she really has to use 100% power it fills up her entire body, which makes it harder for her move in any way that isn’t related to whatever she’s doing with her powers. Does that make sense? Let me know if that makes sense. Anyway, I don’t think she would ever stop needing to stay kind of still to use her powers, especially while expending huge amounts of energy, but that urge could be mitigated as much as possible to allow for her to dodge a little while in combat.
Learning to move herself with her powers, in order to do things like jump really far or dodge out of the way really fast, or break her fall from a really high jump. If my power anchor theory makes any sense (or even if it doesn’t because whatever), El could learn to direct her powers back towards herself by using something solid in the area as an anchor and then instead of moving that thing, pulling herself towards or away from it. This might lowkey be canon already since that seems like what was happening when she started levitating while closing the gate in s2, also s4 did mention her having to learn to fly so...I guess we'll see 👀.
Gaining/honing the ability to sense things within a radius through passive diffusion of her powers. So, in the show its demonstrated many times that El can move/feel things she can’t see with her powers, like in all the times she unlocks doors from the outside. So I’m thinking, we take that ability, amplify it, and make it a passive thing that only requires a very small amount of energy that she can keep up to feel everything that's going on around her in a room-sized radius. It wouldn’t be something that she can do permanently—like it would still take some degree of concentration to keep up, but her powers could become strong enough that some part of her is always feeling around just a little. Like regular human perception, she could be more likely to notice any sudden movements when not concentrating at all. Basically, she would become immune to being snuck up on, and she could also specifically train to get good at stopping any projectiles (or otherwise) that enter a 3-foot or so radius around her. She could also use the power to see in complete darkness or into rooms from the outside, and not have to rely on sight or hearing to locate any threats in fights, allowing her to attack enemies behind her without having to turn around, anticipate attacks, etc (in my mind, there's a scene where El practices this blind-fighting by sparring all the boys at once, who only have the goal of hitting her once with any attack, which they fail spectacularly after she takes them all down in like 5 seconds lmao). She could also specifically use proficiency in her voidwalking ability to passively sense any humans in an even larger radius, without knowing what they are doing exactly but maybe being able to vaguely sense whatever emotion they're feeling. Also, speaking of sensing emotions: it’s just canon that El can feel/manipulate people’s organs, so she could totally sense when people suddenly get nervous in a conversation…or literally anything else physical going on in someone’s body. Kind of a disturbing thought, actually. It’s shit like that that makes me want her to lose her powers at the end of the show lol.
Gaining the ability to perfect parry. Alright we’re entering pure self-indulgent gamer ideas now but—While practicing her projectile catching and throwing one day (with a pitching machine), she accidentally deflects a ball so precisely that it goes flying back in the opposite direction without losing any force, with the deflection itself taking almost no mental energy at all. She’s surprised by this, and then spends a couple scenes trying to do it again, but can't figure it out. Until, of course, the climatic scene where she manages to do it again in a last act of desperation and is able to save the day against impossible odds. Or something something.
Getting a bunch of knives. If I could make Duffers do one thing in s5, it would be to give El a bunch of knives that she floats around to fight with Irelia League of Legends-style. This is a fantastic idea ok listen. As I mentioned already, they would take minimal effort to fight with, and also be super deadly, work against the demogorgons, look cool as hell, and also they could make menacing halos behind her head when she gets angry at people. Is this too anime of an idea for the 80s monster show? Who cares, give El a bunch of knives. Other random cool shit she should do:
Matrix a bunch of machine gun fire from a bunch of soldiers that were finally ordered to just kill her before she takes down the entire government (or whatever other reason), creating a giant cloud of bullets around her and pushing her back from the sheer force of the momentum she's countering. Then when they finally empty their magazines she sends all the bullets back in an epic display of raw power, fucking murdering every solider at once and emerging unscathed and unbothered. I just think that would be cool.
She hasn’t done the psychic power cyclone thing yet. There’s still time to fix that.
I think it would really enhance her powers if she had some kind of like dirty, smudged eyeliner look going on. You know like its makeup irl, but styled to kinda look like its apocalypse grime, but it still looks really cool and menacing. idk it's an idea. character design.
Insane this hasn't happened yet but she should at some point like absent-mindedly spin something above her hand with her powers. Like a bunch of marbles or pen or something. Just to flex a little.
Anyway hope you enjoyed reading leave a comment and make sure to like and subscribe for more s5 pipe dreams :)

normal-type team ( outside gym battles ).
KANGASKHAN / ♀ / Billie.
billie is a kangaskhan without a child. she's intense and fiercely protective of larry. sometimes she'll front on people who get too close to him; larry's trying to mellow her out some, both for the safety of others, and because she's sometimes a little too much to handle for him, personality-wise. her moveset is FACADE, DRAIN PUNCH, AVALANCHE, and CRUNCH.
DUDUNSPARCE ( three-segment form ) / ♂ / Franklin.
a staple to larry's team, and one that earns a lot of stares and raised brows, by virtue of being a rare three-segment form and being longer than your average dudunsparce. he also has a deeper voice than most of his kind, earning for amusement from medali residents. do not let his cute looks fool you though—franklin is a hard hitter and is loyal to the bone to larry. his moveset is YAWN, HYPER DRILL, BODY PRESS, and STONE EDGE.
SNORLAX / ♂ / Ezra.
ezra is almost as unmotivated as his trainer. he is, however, easily motivated by comfortable living; should a battle prove difficult or weary, he's quick to give it his all in an attempt to quell the danger. he'd just like to get back to his scheduled nibbles and naps, thanks! his moveset is YAWN, HAMMER ARM, HEAT CRASH, and HIGH HORSEPOWER.
KOMALA / ♀ / Matilda.
a powerhouse in a small body. matilda was born asleep, and stays asleep, much like the remainder of her kind. despite her sleepy nature, she's very attuned to her trainer's needs and will sometimes go to the extent of latching onto his leg and refusing to let go if larry hasn't taken his scheduled medication. her moveset is YAWN, BODY SLAM, EARTHQUAKE, and PLAY ROUGH.
PURUGLY / ♀ / Imogen.
rather unusual for a purugly, she specialises more so in special attacks than physical. imogen is intended not to be cast in first, but rather after another pokémon's fainting spell; this is so she can score some damage with a double-powered retaliate, or to make use of larry's plethora of yawns to allow her to promptly devour their dreams. regardless of whatever her base speed stat tells you: she's loathe to move fast. she'd rather laze about, soaking up the sun than exert herself. she wears an adapted form of the ZOOM LENS, which look like small, embellished spectacles perched just behind her nose. her moveset is HYPNOSIS, DREAM EATER, RETALIATE, and THUNDERBOLT.
DRAGONITE ( normal-type tera ) / ♀ / Eleanor.
one of larry's newest additions to his team, bestowed as a gift and a subtle nudge to try something different and unique. he, honestly, found her rather challenging to raise up until she evolved into her dual dragon- and flying-type form. he's used to specific types, and dratini's and dragonair's sole dragon typing proved to throw him for a loop sometimes. eleanor is intended to be terastallised, and has been trained to be a normal-type tera. her moveset is TERA BLAST, HURRICANE, DRAGON PULSE, and THUNDER WAVE.
#hc.#can u tell larry wants ur pkmn fuckim asleep#ALL THE YAWNS / HYPNOSIS#i'm going to do these piece by piece just so i don't post a stupidly long hc lmfao

Progenitus the Hydreigon
Art of the above Hydreigon was created by myself, for myself! Full name: Progenitus (More details under the Readmore)
Individual Head Names, left to right -White: Gideon -Blue: Jace -Black: Sorin -Red: Koth -Green: Garruk At MOST times, Progenitus will be addressed as such, since, unless he is totally relaxed, all heads work and act together as one unit, essentially a hivemind, mainly under Sorin's direction. Progenitus is almost NEVER fully relaxed unless he's alone with Tanis and the rest of her team, in someplace he's comfortable with. For other trainers or Pokemon to see the heads act individually is horrendously rare. Species: 5-Headed Hydreigon Level: ??? Size: Big McHuge. An average human can faceplant onto the fluffy parts of his chest.So...2 to 3 times bigger than a "standard" Hyderigon? Nature: Aggressive. Hostile. Violent. To be saved as a last resort or in dire situations. History: Progenitus did not start off as creature of malice, but he DID start off a little... Different. Tanis discovered him as a Deino as she was strolling around Unova, and he was at the brink of death. He hatched with polymeia, having two extra legs that did nothing but hinder him at all times, so walking was incredibly difficult, let alone hunting for food. Plus, his ravenous attitude and severely off-putting appearance managed to chase away any who had enough sympathy to even try and help him, human and Pokemon both. Excluding Tanis, who not only saved the poor dragon's life, but she helped him trained. Despite all odds, he grew. Gained weight and strength over the years, and he evolved. He still had those two vestigial limbs as a Zweilous, but, given more tender loving care... He evolved once more. Suddenly he found himself free of his burden. Those useless legs turned into two extra, fully functional heads when he evolved, all equal in strength and intelligence. And he was angry. He was IS magnificent, and if not for this one, practically feral human who cared for him so tenderly, so diligently, he would have perished. He did NOT deserve that. He deserved to be cared for. Hell, he could have been like this many ages ago, he could have a territory of his own and rules all beneath him. But no. He was treated as a freak. And now he's everyone else's problem. However. He is 100% loyal to his trainer. His entire body can and will stop on a dime as soon as the word leaves her lips. He sore to always keep her safe, to keep her happy and healthy, as she has done for him.Everyone else though...? If not for Tanis telling him to hold back, hundreds would have fallen to his ruthless assaults. Moveset: Every head can use Dragon, Dark, and Normal type moves. However, each individual head has access to 3 other types exclusive to it. -Gideon: Fairy, Electric, Steel -Jace: Water, Flying, Ice -Sorin: Ghost, Psychic, Poison -Koth: Fire, Ground, Rock -Garruk: Grass, Bug, Fighting All access moves: Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Outrage, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Crunch, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, and Giga Impact. Individual moves: Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, Flash Cannon, Scald, Aeroblast, Ice Beam, Bitter Malice, Freezing Glare, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, Earth Power, Power Gem, Energy Ball, Bug Buzz, Focus Blast. If you think that this is too much, and want to compromise/ make possible changes for an RP, this can be arranged, you just have to let me know. Progenitus was clearly made and designed to essentially be "Final Boss" strength, but I fully understand that he smashes nearly every law of Pokemon out there. I do love him, and i want to use him, but not at the detriment of others. Fun Facts: -Yeah he's a walking Magic the Gathering reference. He is based off of this card,
and every one of his heads is named after a Planeswalker. Sorin is the only one not monotype mana, and he's the only exception because I like Sorin and the name. -Progenitus was MUCH softer looking in his original art.
-None of Progenitus' extra head/necks look like arms with a muppet head attached to it. They all have the same basic serpentine neck, with all of the supporting heads looking like the main one. -I'm not 100%sure if the fluffy bits of a Hydreigon are supposed to be fur or feathers, so I went with both. Progenitus is covered in both beautiful scales, and protofeathers. His feathers are basically a mixture of emu feathers and quills. The base/ "undercoat" of these feathers is that pink that you can see through his coat. -His wings ARE the same color as his chest, they're just darkened in the reference image to make them fade into the background a bit more.
#The link in his name goes to the blog page#Contains the same information#Iwas going to work on the blog itself but I hate looking at and messing with themes#Then I was going to redraw Tanis and get her info up here but#I cleaned my drawing gloves and the cleaning cloth so I can't use my tablet#So I figured I'd introduce the Hydreigon I have as this blog's profile pic#He does exist sitting innocently on my Shield version#Waiting for Home to open up to Scarlet#In truth I have ashiny Hydreigon lady on there#I traienr her up fully already so stat-wise they'd be the same p sure#Sorry I write novels in my tags#Hydreigon#Pokemon OC#Progenitus#I'll do Tanis' starter next#Or maybe her herself#idk i don't have anyart of her that I LIKE like#And I've drawn her three whole ass times#Her starter was a Trapinch now Flygon named Dustdevil#I also suck at making fancy tags so rip#Maybe someday#But here's proof that I can do things sometimes.

hey remember that one post where i spit balled a concept for a Baiken action game? Yeah I’m done with exams so I’m just gonna ramble off a few more ideas about it because non of you can stop me. anyway:
general gameplay: An action game in the PS2 God Of War games with a bit of DMC weapon switching with Baiken’s demon tools. She has all of them; the claw the chain the huge sword the mace the cannon the gun from xrd the tether from strive all of it i don’t care im not actually designing anything and restraint is for people paid to do that.
She can only equip up to three at a time along with Baiken’s sword (which has a few variants you can unlock more on that later), each one has a couple of moves that can be strung together with each other and normal attacks.
Has a meter for either super strong Overdrive like moves or a DT like mode where she does more damage.
Baiken has both her counters. Azami from Xrd with all its follow ups, generous frame window and works on every attack including boss attacks, but doesn’t do much damage and is mostly a combo tool. The counter from Strive works only on melee attacks and only has the one slam and has a really narrow window, but does a ton of damage and works on bosses that aren’t “huge”.
general story: still like i said, the whole plot is a flashback to Baiken’s days wandering the earth after the attack on Japan told by Baiken to a curious Anji while they go through their day in the colonies fixing the damage from the final battle in Rev2 or alternatively told to Delilah and Anji while they travel together after Another Story.
Anji provides the tutorial by waking Baiken up from a hangover by letting her stretch her legs by beating on him for a bit.
now for some flavor text on miscellaneous things because more games should have some extra things even on functional stuff and i get to stuff a few references in here, cookies will not be given upon a correct guess but have fun anyway;
Difficulty (i miss when people gave little descriptions with these it adds a lot of flavor):
Vagrant (Easy): You are a fool and a stoner, and are allowed to make mistakes. For those who simply wish to enjoy the story.
Samurai (Normal): Your sword arm is steady and combat is a common sight for you. For those more comfortable with action games.
Warlord/Onna-Bugeisha (Hard): You seek a challenge worthy of your skills, and the enemies you face will offer no mercy. For those confidant in their skill and reflexes.
Warrior Of The Six Paths/Rokkon Shojo (Very Hard): Yours is a blade that severs Karma, and the path you walk is fraught with deadly foes possessing insatiable bloodlust. Only for those of supreme tenacity and unmatched fury.
Instant Kill: Bad news: You are only one hit away from death at all times. Good news: So is everyone else. Have fun!
Road to Naraka: Bad news: You are only one hit away from death at all times. There is no good news. Good luck.
Swords (unlocked through both story progression and beating the game on various difficulties.):
Katana: A simple iron forged sword. Sharp and easy to use. Perfect for a warrior with a simple mission. (base weapon, no special attributes)
Broken Katana: A sword shattered in a moment of despair, caked in dried blood. Only used by those with no other options, or those driven to the brink of madness and desperation. (Beat the game on Easy, One potential story chapter has Baiken ambushed by a bunch of bandits while starving and exhausted both mentally and physically. They break both her arm and snap her sword in half. She goes crazy with desperation and delirious from blood loss, wielding the sword between her teeth. Equipping it gives you an alternate moveset with no access to your demon tools or counters and halves both our range and damage but makes you way quicker. Beat every chapter in the game with this weapon to unlock some really good shit.)
Reforged Katana: Sharper than before, its edge carries the weight of anger and revenge a century old. If one puts their ear to the flat side, you could almost hear it demand for blood, more blood, always more blood... (Beat the game on Normal, increased damage and attack speed.)
Regret: A sword given to a warrior seeking a new path, given by a child seeking a new home, maintained by a man seeking a new name. Not meant to cut people down, but for cutting them free. (Beat the game on Hard, increased damage from counters and demon tools, but less damage from normal sword attacks.)
Bokken: A wooden practice sword. In anyone else’s hand this weapon is nearly a joke, but Baiken can turn even a joke into something deadly...provided she swings it enough times. Note: Not be used on dogs, thank you. (Beat the game on Very Hard. Reduces damage across the board but massively increases defense and meter gain. Makes a Bonk! sound with every hit.)
Demon Slayer Okami: A sword from a world different from this one, meant to be wielded by a warrior with no name and no destiny beyond killing. A weapon meant to cut down world eating snakes and Beasts made of shadow. As such, few things in this world will survive more than one strike from it. (Beat the game on Road to Naraka or beat the game on Very Hard using the Broken Katana, increased normal attack range and kills every normal enemy in one hit and does MASSIVE damage to bosses.)
added ideas:
* Each demon tool was given to Baiken by a different mercenary/bounty hunter she met on her journey before they kick the bucket. Whether she’s given the tool as a dying gift or taken from their dead body after they try to kill her for her bounty depends.
* Extra Bosses ideas that give you special skins when you win: Dizzy (beat the game on Instant Kill with the Broken Katana, classic Baiken Skin), Sol (Beat the game on Hard with the Broken Katana, Holy Order Baiken), Serious Anji (Beat the game on Hard with the Bokken, Casual/Just Woke Up Baiken briefly seen in the beginning), I-No (Beat the game on Road To Naraka with the Broken Katana, the games warns you that this boss hates you personally and will actively cheat, Neon Blue Arcade Skin)
that’s what i got cheers :p

Is Michael's fighting style based off of anything? Like how Vergil's is based of Iaido.
Vergil's is kinda this special case that he actually uses a specific fight style. The other characters go rather "whatever is cool and stylish" route.
For Dude I'd break down his "fight style" into two styles basically though gameplay wise no style switching would happen like in case of Dante.
One style I like to call a human devil hunter fightstyle. It's pretty much all the stuff Lady does with guns. Michael isn't using some crazy stuff like Kalina Ann but he still uses guns. Well, on the outside these guns aren't something too special. They aren't even modified for special needs. What's actually adapted to make these deadly for demons is two things. One thing is done consciously. The other one happens without his realization.
He soaks bullets in a modified recipe of Holy Water (based on someone's mixture, which he decided to modify for his own needs; some alchemy time) for really short amount of time so the mixture can stay attached to the surface without making bullets basically useless. This form of Holy Water is just more oily. So what stays on the surface is that Holy Water oil. This makes the weapon actually deadly for demons but there is one more thing happening, which makes it more deadly but he isn't aware of it. He channels demonic energy onto weapons he uses so they get even more powerful than normally. It's not a lot of demonic energy channeled so he doesn't get sick from it when he does it unwillingly and without awareness. But later on he acknowledges that's what he is capable of so he can overpower his pistols way more... for example cause shooting bullets to explode.
The other part of human devil hunter style is also using holy water usually as some bombs or like a pepper spray. These are used not to really cause harm but to stun demons (kinda like you can stun enemies with Mirage Edge with Vergil).
He also uses daggers but it's not so much like how Lucia uses them in DMC2. It's rather unthinkable for him to try to kill demons by slashing them to death with daggers. Rather dangerous. So daggers are mostly his ranged weapon - he throws them. He can also channel his demonic energy onto them what caused them to burn.
Besides he can use daggers as a finisher to stunned or almost dead demons. The final stab done directly, not by throwing a dagger. Gameplay-wise this would be non-obligatory but he'd get a bit of DT returned.
So that'd be it when it comes to his human devil hunter style. The second style is related to his magic he has. When he learns it how to control it, deal with side effects and make them less severe he has some fun opportunities.
To be fair I once took a look at Trish moveset and I am kinda disappointed how little she uses her electric abilities by just shooting these from her hands. Not to mention what are the other missed opportunities with that. But I can see Michael work a bit similarly to Trish but with more expanded moveset lol.
He can go more distant and shoot the fire from his hands. He can either throw a whole big flame like a fire bender, shoot a long string of fire, create and throw a fireball, summon a limited fire rain (just like what Vergil does with Mirage Blades), cause the ground to burn in flames for limited time and area or... do it more directly like how Dante uses Balrog. His hands (and legs too if he decided to use them) would get covered in fire to beat these demons like that! I'd certainly imagine this would work like Dante's moveset while using Balrog with fire turned on (visually).
His "DT" (he actually doesn't change his form; he just overflows with demonic magic what manifests visually) also gives some more opportunities for more powerful versions of this kind of combat.

I have several drafts regarding A3!mon stuff I've been thinking about over the last week just sitting around so I think I'm just going to make it into two or three separate posts. This one will be a general update on teams, this time including side characters. The other ones will be about headcanons, world building, and movesets.
Before I forget, Spoiler Warning since this includes characters that haven’t been introduced/shown in the ENG server yet.
So side characters! I finally got around to starting Yuzo and Tetsuro's, and they almost have a full party I feel good about. For Tetsuro, I was initially going to with bulky Ground/Rock types (Ex. Gigalith, Crustle), but since he’s actually a softie for cute animals that’s the route I went with.
Excuse the Yuzo chibi, but that’s the only one I found that I could use. Electrode is sort of an odd choice, but it has a base speed of 150 and I’d like to imagine it chasing actors during practices for fun as extra “motivation”.
Next are Madoka, Shifuto, August, and July. Of these, July’s was actually pretty fun to think about despite him having the least info to work off. I like my picks for Shifuto and August, but I don’t know if I like what I picked for Madoka. Since Madoka’s name contains a kanji meaning “round”, similar to how Misumi’s name has the same kanji for “triangle”, I wanted to pick pokemon that fit that.
I haven’t really made any changes to Reni and Haruto, but I’ve been feeling iffy about some of my Haruto choices so I’m leaving him at three for now (org. 5)
I also have some in mind for the OG Mankai leaders, but I don't really know what to go for so it’s sort of a mess. Mostly for Zen, less so for Hiro. I hope the more I read about them in Act/Year 3, the better idea I have of what they’re like
In regards to both the OG leaders and God-za members, I saw these on twitter a while ago and it looks like I have official character colors I can work with! Though I still need to figure out what color to actually use for the OG leaders...
Onto the main Mankai cast, I finally decided on the last few slots for a couple teams so now Sakuya, Misumi, Juza, and Taichi are pretty much done. I’ve been iffy on Tasuku’s for a while but I think I feel better about his now.
Masumi, Itaru, Citron, Tenma, Kumon, and Banri are still works in progress since I’m still not certain on about half of their party members (pls... I’m open to suggestions)
I’ve only shown part of their teams in the past, but Matsukawa is pretty much settled on. I added a few more to Sakoda’s, and now he has a Meowth just like how Sakyo used to. But Sakyo’s first meeting with his meowth was when it tried to mug him while he was doing a shady delivery job in high school, while Sakoda’s meowth was hanging out by the pachinko slots on his day off.
Then for Izumi... I don't know what I should do about her. I know I want to keep the Sawsbuck since it’s appearance changes with the seasons and that fits with Mankai's overall concept. There are some I’m considering, but I’m still unsure...
To end this off, this came to mind yesterday and I'm shocked I didnt think of it earlier but... Azuma's friend Asajo, aka the "Long Legged Witch"? Tsareena and Hatterene are obviously the most fitting options. Oh and I just found out that Hatterene's pretty much a tiny alien in a trench coat of hair and I think that’s adorable
#a3#a3!#act! addict! actors!#a3 game#a3!mon#desiree talks#someone save me from myself#i thought that 24 teams were bad#i'm at around 40 now omfg#i really should take a break from this#and work on the name chart project since it's been a while since i touched that doc#i'm also so glad i decided to allow overlap for the OG mankai members#and be looser about my choices for the even more minor side characters#because i was starting to run out of decent options

AEW Full Gear 2020: Review
Didn’t watch it live but I still have the time to review the next day, after the problems All Out faced Full Gear was definitely something fans were hoping won’t repeat the same mistakes, so it’s time to see if it delivered Spoilers for Full Gear of course
The Buy-In Most of the Buy-In was just the video packages save for a MJF and Kingston Family promo (though props to Alex for interviewing the Lucha Bros in Spanish, that was a nice touch), which I feel was a bad move. The promos were of course fantastic but my qualm was the video packages: the packages are on the countdown show anyway, there could’ve been 2 matches at least and a few segments that could’ve set up the TV feuds considering that it was over an hour. NWA Women’s Championship: Serena Deeb (c) def Allysin Kay (Submission via Serenity Lock) A solid pre-show match, Deeb and Kay are crisp given their veteran history. Kay worked on her height and strength while Deeb worked on her yoga-based flexibility. There was a lot of good chain wrestling as you’d expect from the NWA alums, a shift to an Octopus Stretch, Deeb working the Leg with a Dragon Screw and Kay still managing to muscle out of Deeb’s offence. After a Kay salvaged herself from what looked a bit like an elevated Styles Clash with a leg on the rope, Deeb forced her to tap with a Serenity Lock on the worked leg. While the match was fine the intrigue came after when Thunder Rosa wearing all the tassels she could to make Shawn Michaels blush came to the ring to challenge Deeb for a rematch. With Rosa gesturing the AEW ring it is clear that the AEW/NWA partnership and Thunder Rosa’s time with the Elite is far from over.
Main Card Of course with JR coming to commentary the main card is scheduled to begin. Unfortunately, I had been spoiled some results in advance (no thanks to Youtube or the 2 hour PC update that allowed the youtubers to reveal this while I was waiting to update) but a handful were in line to how I predicted them, so it didn’t fully harm the outcome. Don Callis though came out as well, they’ve hinted at it with Kenny but to actually see Don on commentary was definitely a surprise. AEW World Title Contendership Tournament Final Kenny Omega def. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page (Pinfall via One Winged Angel) Omega came out first the same way he’s done all the tournament, the cleaner dancers and the very long-winded braggadocios introduction. Pyro but no cosplay, Omega oozed confidence as proven by his plate as the leader in most victories in AEW. Page however paced towards the ring with nervous energy with the hilarious plate of ‘Focused Yeehaw Man’, less show but still drive, which really perfectly divulges the styles of both men as wrestlers. A snubbed handshake by Page did lead to back and forth, chops and counters as both men anticipated the stylist moves of the other. Hangman took over the early offence with strong moves, big boots, fallaway slams and a superplex did hint at some potential for the Hangman to gain the advantage. But then Omega with a moonsault from a railing put Kenny in control, Kotaro Crusher at 2 and a belated You Can’t Escape (he slipped after the first part but landed the sault after a pause) for 2 as well, then into the usual repertoire, the tope con hilo, the Back Head Missile Dropkick. Both men almost set up a One Winged Angel but then a V Trigger shut down a Buckshot but got bombed on the ramp after a series of counters, another pop-up bomb at 2 for Hangman. Trading blows, a Rolling Elbow was broken even by a V Trigger and then a Tiger Driver at 2 for Kenny. Back and forth as both escaped Suplexes, both hit Rolling Elbows but Hangman then got the clothesline, he lands the deadeye...but does not get the 3. Buckshot reversed to a crucifix but Hangman sits the pin for another 2, Dragon Screw and V-Trigger on the ropes for Kenny gives him the energy to roar back, ducks the vicious swing of the Buckshot and hits 2 V-Triggers, Hangman tries to fight out of the One Winged Angel but the move hits and that’s 3.
Destiny comes true for Omega, he had to fight for it though. Definitely a physical match, the emotional layer didn’t all reflect on the match but Hangman definitely reels in disappointment afterwards, more isolated, more alone, and set to descend to new lows as Omega returns to the main event picture.
Orange Cassidy def. John ‘4′ Silver (Pinfall via Beach Break) Two cult heroes for AEW, Silver on BTE and Cassidy on Dynamite, fighting as a side story to the TNT title picture, JR gets props for calling Silver a “Human Bowling Ball” as both men enter with their respective faction members. Silver continues to play to OC’s jokes as he protests OC’s pockets, before being annoyed by OC’s counter wrestling - especially screaming ‘It doesn’t hurt!’ to OC’s monstrous kicks. Silver literally depockets OC for monster heat - no seriously he rips the pockets out of OC’s jeans! A lot of bravado follows from Silver’s power moves, throws and kicks to keep the heat going. Silver’s power also impressively suplexes out of OC’s swinging DDT attempt but the crowd chants definitely get to Silver as OC counters Silver’s irish whips with some turnbuckle shots, a crossbody and the swinging DDT, Silver though powers back, a one-handed Gorilla press into the ropes, a back head boot as he sets up the Spin Doctor, but then OC gets the headscissors, Michinoku Driver for 2 as the wrestlers at ringside argue the count of 2 or 3 (Heels and Faces kept either side). Silver rolls up OC trying the Orange Punch, counters again but gets hit with the stunner, counters again and lands the Spin Doctor but it’s another 2! Silver motions to homage Mr. Brodie Lee with a discus but it’s dodged into an Orange Punch and Beach Break for 3. Best Friends come to the ring to give the people what they want, the hug with the rainmaker zoom. A nice fun match, it really gave Silver some props to hang with OC as both characters shone through. I was surprised that Dark Order didn’t try to get involved and no post-match stuff. TNT Championship: Darby Allin def Cody Rhodes (c) (via Pinfall) TITLE CHANGE! Allin rode in with a painted car and a half-painted driver before smashing his skateboard (with ‘The New Face of TNT’ emblazoned on it) into the windscreen. Sporting a veiny style of paint, no words are written on him like previous title matches, it’s all business. Cody (using his surname now) rolls in with his grandiose gates and pyro with Brandi beside him before being flanked by all the remaining members of the Nightmare Family - including Gunn Club and Lee Johnson. He’s also promoting a new shirt. Mike Chioda is announced as the Ref for this, giving a bigger fight feel to this title match.
Cody flaunts his strength advantage early on, knowing full well that Darby has never beaten him, but Darby is defiant to his insulting ‘politeness’ and cockiness - slapping Cody in the back of the head to wake the champion up. Encouraged to ‘muscle around’ Darby by Arn, he almost gets baited into a pin, he leaves the ring but gets suicide dived from his back (after a Ricochet-esque moonsault feint), in retaliation Cody just dumps Darby on back first on the ramp, harming Allin’s left elbow. Cody hones in on that injury with wrist locks and stomps, Darby also selling by being unable to use both his hands to pull the heavier opponent with an irish whip and being unable to lock the arm for a backslide - the latter getting him into another submission. Taunting the injury by exclaiming ‘that arm is trash’, Cody doubles down the arm, using it to ground any of Darby’s counter efforts. But every time Darby refuses, Cody grows more frustrated, an avalanche shoulderbreaker and a cross armbreaker attempt selling that Cody is using things outside of his usual moveset, but the missed moonsault gifts Allin a respite. Yoshi Tonic is Darby’s first signs of a rally but he’s shut down by a superkick, Darby pulls off the middle turnbuckle pad resisting Cody’s Cross Rhodes attempt and Cody is dazed by running into it but a rollup is at 2. Assured that he’s in control by Arn, Cody lands an Avalanche Cross Rhodes but Darby’s arm is under the rope, he counters a backpack sleeper by dropping from the turnbuckle which rolls Darby out the ring - Arn demands Darby stay down but he breaks the count. ‘Stay Down’ barks from Arn and Cody from continual powerslams but Darby refuses, even inviting Cody to continue. Frustrated, Cody brings that small white belt to the ring but is told by Chioda to not use it, dropping it behind him, Darby uses it to sweep Cody into a jacknife pin for 2, counters Disaster Kick with a Last Supper for 2, Flip Stunner and Coffin Drop follow, but also 2! Cody tries a Cross Rhodes but Darby counters with a Sunset Pin, Cody sits on him, 2, Darby rolls him, 2, Cody pulls back, 2, Darby rolls again, 3! Post-match, Cody hands Darby the title on one knee as Allin finally claims his first win over Cody and his main prize. Tazz however walks up to promo against the emotional moment as Cage and Starks blindside both men. However, dissension appear when both Starks and Cage both tussle for holding the TNT title, Tazz grabs it and gestures to Darby, with Cage carrying Darby outside of the ringside, Cody tries to fight back but fails, Darby thrown through a set piece and laid on the car he came in, they attempt to slam the door with Darby’s arm in between but Will Hobbs with a chair chases them down. It was a good title match, good narrative throughout. I think the finish could’ve been a bit more spectacular, Cody does seem to exude a Hogan-esque philosophy to losing at times, this one did feel like he wanted the loss to feel like a fluke. Darby’s win is deserved but the FTW shenanigans did dampen it, I expected Tazz and his crew to show during the match but in post-match it just kinda killed some of the wind in Darby’s sails. Interview Segment The Natural Nightmares - instead of backing up Cody - promo against Butcher, Blade and Bunny, specifically Allie for her using of QT to set up their Dynamite match, Dustin reveals that it’s gonna be a ‘Bunkhouse Match’. Dustin is a great promo but I have no idea what a Bunkhouse Match is, plus this is the segment you would see on the Pre Show. The Dynamite card is also revealed with Penta vs Fénix 2 as previously revealed and new match Conti vs Red Velvet. AEW Women’s Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) def. Nyla Rose w/ Vickie Guerrero (Pinfall via Knee Strike x4) Nyla rolls up with Vickie Bluetista style with a blue and cyan gear which really didn’t suit, Nyla’s gear has always been a mixed Bag The longest running Women’s Champion adds more colour to her Tifa Lockhart gear, her name plate finally on the belt (as detailed on her youtube channel, the name plate is more difficult to put on given its curved shape). Shida and Nyla are ready to go even before the bell as they trade blows, the Champion putting pressure on Rose with knee strikes and dropkicks but noticeably fails on the lift. Shida keeps her advantage of cutting Nyla down and landing the apron knee while Vickie screeches. The chair launch is cut off by a clothesline from Nyla but her attempts to pull a table is refused, giving Shida the chance to land the chair launch and sending her through the rail. Vickie though blindsides Shida’s knee with a kendo stick, giving the Native Beast the advantage she needs. Nyla uses the underneath frame of the ring to wrench Shida’s knee, then the ring post and a chop block to limit Shida’s use of the Tamashii (formerly called the Tamashii no 3 Count). Nyla continues to hone in on the leg, splashes and single leg crabs, even biting the knee to maintain her advantage. Shida rolls out of the senton and muscles a suplex for 2. The Tamashii is blocked by hitting the injured knee but Shida crossbodies, the knee continues to be the focus as Nyla keeps grasping and dropping Shida on it. My favourite Nyla Move, the Beast Knee is smashed into the injured knee for 2 as Nyla uses her weight against Shida’s injury. The champion pump kicks Nyla to the ramp after some turnbuckle shots for a corner dropkick, then a second in the ring at 2. The leg gives out on the Tamashii again so Nyla can powerbomb but foolishly pulls Shida out of the count, adding insult she lands the Tamashii, but only gets 1! A Back body press gives Shida the energy she needs, an Avalanche Falcon Arrow follows but Shida then breaks the pin, she tries the Tamashii but Vickie psyches her out (it was a botch but not a bad one), Vickie tries to kendo Shida while she’s hoisted and Shida just throws Nyla into Vickie. A half-hearted Falcon Arrow hits 2, Tamashii lands but another 2, second Tamashii and 4 Knee Strikes end the match. Being carried out of the ring by Aubrey, Vickie and Nyla are left in the ring as Guerrero screeches venom at Nyla, slapping the former Women’s Champion as she leaves.
In spite of it’s short build it was a good match, the final section was a little sloppy on the vicious vixens’ part but Shida sold her knee wonderfully. Expected Vickie to have more involvement and the post-match seemed to back out on Nyla turning on Vickie but maybe there’s more tale to tell. As a personal preference I hate when wrestlers willingly break their own pin, especially in a title match, it’s just a daft strategy but it was good to see that Shida’s stock has elevated to the point where she didn’t need the DQ stip to win like she did when she won the title, her early dominance would give her extra confidence and extra heat for who I think will be her usurper, Dr. Britt Baker DMD. Next time though, give Shida and her opponent Dynamite feud building. AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks def FTR (c) (Pinfall via Superkick, Matt to Cash) TITLE CHANGE! With Matt previously cleared to compete, the Bucks strolled up in Black, Yellow and Purple to their usual money rain, but the pomp and confidence is limited, Matt noticeably slower up the ropes as he nurses his ankle. The champions roll up in White jumpsuits with Tully - who the Bucks protest on since he’s banned from ringside due to his prior attacks, he does leave on his own accord. A nice touch from FTR are the star colours; red, blue, yellow and gold, aka tag champs in Raw, Smackdown, NXT and AEW. Mind games of ‘Greatest Tag Team of All Time’ as well also there to get into the Bucks’ heads. Matt was confident to show that his ankle was fine by going first, Cash going for the injury but being out-wrestled to his frustration. FTR’s quick tag action is halted by the Bucks rushing them to a stalemate in 2s. Nick and Dax trade some chain wrestling with again the Bucks frustrating them, the Bucks almost seem to be playing FTR at their own game plan, until Nick is punched in the face. Both teams take to the ring leading to the Bucks doing a Rana into a ground pound on the champs before sending them out of the ring with their patented tandem offence. Dax busts open his hand hitting the ring post after Matt dodged, reeling from the ankle attack, the Bucks relish the opening to equialize on Dax’s hand for catharsis. A bit of a miscommunicated spot followed where Matt’s moonsault was ‘dodged’ by Dax not paying attention, and his throwing Matt into the ropes looked ugly as fuck as Matt nurses his ankle and Dax tags out for Doc Sampson to dress his hand. When he returns he quickly goes for vengeance on the ankle in mostly a same manner as Nyla did to Shida prior. Cash jumps for Nick to pull him away from the Hot Tag which grants Dax the opening for a Superplex but Cash gets knees from the follow-up splash. The hot tag again thwarted after Cash hit the railing but Dax throws him in ring to tag in, the two men stand between the brothers as Cash flies over the ring post to the floor and Dax is baited into the DDT, Nick storms into the hot tag, wriggling out of FTR’s grapples with kicks and the dual clothesline/bulldog but is eventually caught by FTR who land the Hart Attack. Nick regains advantage with a Cheeky Nandos Kick when FTR were setting up the Powerplex, blind tags Matt who spears the baited Cash and gets a knee in the face, but it’s only 2. Matt’s involvement leads to the knee giving out on a lift, leading to an Electric Chair bulldog combo from FTR, they go for Goodnight Express but Matt superkicks Cash, then Dax, Cash rolls out of ring leaving Dax alone to the Bucks, 3-D! Twist of Fate! Swanton! 2! Lovely homage to the tag team greats. Superkick Party is called, but Cash sweeps Matt’s ankle and Nick gets a rebound powerbomb, but Matt is legal and get 2 on a sneaky pin. Dax gets overzealous with the Dusty Punches and uses his injured hand, but Matt also gets overzealous and uses his bad ankle, both men use their injured limbs for a punch/superkick trade-off, but Dax beheads Matt with a lariat. Homaging DIY they meet in the middle but only get 2, they try the Spike Piledriver but Nick throws Cash off, a tandem move and a swanton onto the ramp leaves Matt room to use a Sharpshooter on Dax, Dax gets to the rope but Nick superkicks the injured hand before Sharpshooter on Cash, FTR clutch each other’s hands but get pulled away but Matt’s ankle gives out to continue the hold. Matt pulls a finger break on Dax’s injured hand (an awkward spot given the scrutiny Marty Scurll is under right now with the SpeakingOut movement) leading to the BTE Trigger, but Cash cannons himself to break the pin. Matt brings out the chair but it’s not legal, Dax goads Matt to hit him but Nick tells him not to, Matt relents and sets up the Meltzer Driver but Cash grabs Nick for a Powerbomb through a ringside table, a very well done twist by Dax leads to the Spike Piledriver but the leg Cash hooks drops onto the rope. Furious, Cash takes Matt’s shoe off, leglock and stomp leads to an inverted Figure Four and ankle lock, but Nick is rising and Cash sees it! He tries the suicide dive but Nick ducks it, breaks the submission with a 450 but Matt only gets 2. Cash superkicks Nick out of the ring, gesturing Two Sweets to Matt before another superkick, but Cash keeps looking at the top rope, he misses the 450 and Matt hits the unbooted Superkick for 3. Kenny came to congratulate the Bucks afterwards as Hangman hovered by the tunnel - wanting to congratulate his friends but still feeling isolated. This is one where I would’ve benefitted not being spoiled, but thumbnails are a bitch. With the narrative that Bucks needed to win to keep on competing and were already at a disadvantage definitely sold the stage to be for Matt to shine. Personally I thought time would run out and there would be some semantic fenagling but it was clean as a whistle. A great match as well, definitely delivered on its build, FTR definitely lacked the presence of Tully to keep their heads in the game in a narrative sense, it’s a shame their tag reign was short but the story has always led to this moment, there was no way Cody AND the Bucks would not be able to challenge for their main titles. I would have one criticism though, the early stages of the match did feel like it was just 1v1s, the tag match needed more tag team offence. Elite Deletion: Matt Hardy def Sammy Guevara (DELETION via Pinfall) The cameras shift to North Carolina where Sammy rides ominously on a golf cart to the Hardy Compound, but Matt also seems to be sorting out business on the phone saying that Sammy’s on his way - fearing that he may need backup if the numbers go against him. Neo 1 confronts Sammy, providing a hologram of Matt welcoming him to the compound and disabling the golf cart. Having crushed a toy monster truck on the way in, Sammy’s face drops at the revving of a full sized monster truck next to him helmed by BROKEN Matt, who flattens the cart before exclaiming that the act was ‘orgasmic’ and ‘now that was a squash job’. Setting the zany tone, Sammy goes all around the truck and hits Matt with a trash can to begin the match. Moonsault off the Truck’s tire as he hammers Matt across the woods. Commentary kinda took you out of it as they tried to fill the silence with their ‘state the obvious’ as the fight sprawled to the front lawn. Sammy doing some great taunts such as saying ‘it’s my house now, daddy’s home!’ and trying to drown Matt in the fountain but Matt grabs the ‘Scepter of Mephistopheles’ to hit Sammy with, missing only the headshot as they go to a backyard ring. As Matt reminds Sammy that he asked for this, Sammy takes advantage with the ring work until a Side Effect is hit and a powerbomb through the table. The pin however is broken by Santana and Ortiz, who double on Matt. Through a walkie talkie though Private Party are called for support to negate the former LAX - though Matt gets hit by a Street Sweeper and a Twist of Fate in the meantime. ‘Roman Candles’ are next on Matt’s mind as he and Sammy both grab a few to fire at each other while PP and Santana & Ortiz tussle in the ring, PP using some of the patented offence of the Hardy Boyz. The latest ‘Sammy Run Away’ meme appears as Sammy is chased by fireworks before slipping in some mud, flattened by a Twist of Fate. As Matt prepares to throw Sammy into the Lake of Reincarnation, a Gangrel (yes, Gangrel! From the Brood) threatens The Hurricane (yes, Shane Helms, the Hurricane) as a hostage, claiming that Matt never gave him any loyalty while in the Brood, PP arrive to help free the superhero, who asked why it took 2 years - leading to Hardy to funnily quip ‘I’m sorry, long-term storytelling, I had to go to AEW just to finish this’ leading to Hurricane’s famous catchphrase. Hurricane almost gets Sammy with a chokeslam but he throws him in the lake, saying ‘What’s a Hero to a God? A Spanish God’ before trying to throw Matt in. Shane Helms the reporter then comes in, asking if the feud is cursed, but he gets thrown in too (this one seen as he flails around the shallows). Hurricane reemerges to help PP fight Santana, Ortiz and Gangrel but Santana saves Sammy by hitting Hardy with a pipe as the two wander into the darkness of the woods, the heel allies in control as they follow. Sammy stalks Hardy with a hammer with his friends also in view, but Hardy calls for Skarsgard, Sammy quickly rolling out of the way from the dilapidated boat’s all-or-nothing dive, Neo 1 is also in sight though, and Hardy commands him to lock Hardy and Sammy inside the ‘dome of deletion’, locking Sammy’s allies out. A ring, tables, ladders, chairs, mowers of lawns, wheels of chairs, a pram, a casket, the dome has it all, but Sammy instead unhooks the ropes to hit Hardy with the Turnbuckle bars, choking him with the middle rope. Sammy lays Matt on a Table near a ladder as high as the roof, landing the swanton but only gets 2. Hardy gets a Twist of Fate which seems to hurt his neck, Hardy then spears him into tables outside the ring, where we see Sammy with a small blood pool behind his head (a worked one, the camera angle on the dive ensured you didn’t see the concrete so it was definitely safe) Sammy struggles to stand as Hardy sets up a chair, hitting him on the head with the edge like his legit injury, telling Sammy ‘You made me what I am’ he cracks Sammy with a Con-Chair-To for the pin. After the match, Matt calls Private Party in to ‘take out the trash’, putting Sammy in a wheelie bin, a cut to the outside allows Sammy to be swapped out for kayfabe, as the bin’s loaded into the back of Senor Benjamin’s truck (Benjamin getting a huge pop) as Reby ends the match playing the piano to some highlights.Matt, PP, Skarsgard, Reby and Hurricane then celebrate to fireworks. As cinematic matches go it was good for ending the feud and continuing the Hardy Compound narrative, commentary did sometimes take you out of it and there were less supernatural stuff going on in this one, it was more found footage than the usual cinematic Deletion matches, but lots of quips, lots of fourth wall winks and both men did really well, can’t complain. Intermission Promo After the deletion match, commentary is told about Lance Archer being on a rampage backstage, which leads to a promo by Jake and Lance as he is wasting some jobber against the wall. Jake notes how they are tired of training and that they’re demanding that someone stand up to Archer, Archer waxes lyrical about his intent to break everyone in AEW because Everybody Dies. Archer’s promo game continues to be on the up, which will make you wonder about how long can the Snake coil around him? Right to Join Inner Circle: MJF def. Chris Jericho (Pinfall via Roll-Up) MJF claimed that he would do ANYTHING to beat Jericho, he began with the mind games by doing the Y2J pose in a fairy light robe, getting the fake pop from the fans who were expecting the Demo God. Jericho does get the pop by cutting MJF’s music short in a skull-themed spiked jacket as Diamante wins the ‘Incoherent Judasing’ moment of the night using Ivelisse’s hand as a mic. The chorus of Judas echoing as the limited crowd echo the arena to Jericho’s subdued delight. Sparing a thought for Aubrey though, who has to call this match despite both of them hating her XD MJF tries to start by feeding from the crowd, but the crowd only boo him and cheer Jericho, he gestures to a handshake amidst ‘You Suck’ chants but Jericho slaps him instead. Jericho held an early advantage but MJF got some advantage with a few clotheslines, but his adversity to the crowd once again gives away the advantage. Jericho pulls his camera middle finger spot after powerslamming him on the outside (shout out to KiLynn King as well for all her crowd enthusiasm). Dodging a Judas Effect leads to an injured arm to Jericho after his elbow hit the very busy today ring post, which he focuses on since it’s key for his Salt of the Earth, biting (which has also had a busy night) also ensues between both men but MJF capitalises on his counters and submissions. The heel nature comes out in Jericho with an eye poke, shoulder barges and a lionsault fire up the crowd and a Frankensteiner turning back the clock. MJF though returns to the arm with that double stomp while Jericho’s holding the rope, shoving the veteran as he spouts insults at him, a back and forth leads to MJF locking in the Salt of the Earth on the injured arm but Jericho shifts him into the Walls of Jericho as MJF chews the crawl to the rope. Aubrey’s enmity of both men comes into play when MJF uses her to shield him from Jericho’s kicks, a failed Heatseeker leads to a mid-rope Codebreaker instead from MJF, followed by a successful Heatseeker for 2. He tries the Lionsault but lands on his feet, and instead gets hit with Jericho’s Codebreaker for 2 as well. An Inside Cradle for 2 leads to Jericho trying the Judas Effect, but MJF catches it and cinches in the Salt of the Earth, but Jericho makes it to the ropes. Wardlow was noticeable absent from ringside at the start, having left after MJF’s entrance, but he was called to the ring by MJF to give him the Diamond Ring, his presence distracting Aubrey, MJF misses though and Jake Hager (who was also noticeably absent from the Elite Deletion) reveals himself on the other side throwing the Painmaker Bat to Jericho, Jericho winds up but MJF gives him the finger and drops Eddie Guerrero style. Aubrey turns to see the supposed outcome leading to Jericho turning his back, roll-up by MJF with a handful of tights gives him the win and membership.
Post-Match, Jericho cuts the music as MJF offers a handshake again, Jericho though this time takes it, hugs him and welcomes him and Wardlow to the Inner Circle. Wardlow holds the ropes for MJF, MJF holds the ropes for Jericho but nobody holds the ropes for Hager - who continues to stare off with Hager.
As a wrestling match it was good, for the situation I felt it was a little underwhelming. MJF said he’d do anything but we didn’t see anything outside of his usual tricks. Narratively it works to see MJF and Jericho stick together and we can only wait and see what stories will come out of it. AEW Revolution promo & Best Friends Interview The first PPV of next year is hyped for a February 27th showing. Dasha interviews Orange Cassidy asking his thoughts on his win, OC replies that he ‘has no thoughts’. Miro, Kip and Penelope however roll up as Kip demands an apology from OC for almost putting Penelope in harm’s way during a prior Dynamite. OC does apologise but Kip slaps him, saying that it wasn’t good enough, OC stops the Best Friends about to jump Miro and Kip and says ‘cool’ before walking away.
AEW World Championship ‘I Quit’ Match: Jon Moxley (c) def. Eddie Kingston (Kingston quits via Barbed Wire Bulldog Choke) Kingston rolled up in a shirt saying something that cameras failed to highlight despite his gesturing, (commentary later reveal that it was in homage to the late Tracey Smothers who recently passed away) his eyes like vengeance. Moxley struts in a Goldberg-esque entrance without the security, once again coming from the side of the stadium - this time no dumbass fan trying to charge him. Kingston stares daggers and shouts bloody murder at him during his entrance as Mox tries to get in his groove. Bryce Remsburg is also reffing this match, adding the personal level since Eddie revealed after his last Moxley match that the three go back.
Moxley got the first part of the venom, hammering punches until Kingston got to his knees, chops were traded as Moxley tried a takedown, only to get his ear bitten (biting man...) by Kingston. Slap trades follow as Kingston works on throws and cutting Moxley at the legs, Moxley hitting a tope when Kingston went to get a chair. Moxley then twists Kingston’s fingers key to his finisher, a suplex on concrete leads to the first ask but Kingston refuses, a Crossface/Bulldog Choke is countered by Kingston biting the arm. Throwing 2 chairs into the ring, a busted Moxley retaliates with the Barbed Wire Bat before kicking down the chair setup. Eddie also is busted in the mouth, then the forehead when the bat is pressed against his head - Moxley claiming that he ‘don’t wanna do this’. Kingston disarms Moxley with some Backdrops and throws a chair at Moxley, Moxley then gouges both eyes of Kingston but the Mad King throttles him. A small botch at Kingston was meant to drop Mox on the bat was rectified with more chair shots, Kingston hurts himself by wrapping barbed wire over his hand to pound into Moxley as he laughs maniacally, Uranken and a Kimura follows so Moxley has to break the hold the best way to hurt someone at Full Gear - Bite Him! Kingston restores the chair layout he had before, setting up for a suplex, Mox swaps though and lands Kingston on the flat of one chair. Kingston clotheslines Moxley to get time to get a black bag, which JR quips ‘well, it’s not a bag of chocolate’ - I mean you don’t know that JR! But alas, it wasn’t, it was your traditional thumbtacks, those silver hershey’s kisses (so hey it is a bag of chocolate), after trading suplexes Moxley snaps a vicious clothesline all away from the tacks, Moxley tries a Paradigm Shift on the tacks but Kingston does a twisting Urinage, planting him back first into the tacks - half on the elbow, half on the back. Kingston returns to the Rubbing Alcohol from Doc Sampson’s desk after learning that Moxley didn’t quit, low blows hurt Moxley but the champion only gives him the finger, Eddie then uses the alcohol on the punctured back (which I said at the same time as commentary). Kingston again hurts himself punching Mox with a handful of tacks, he goes for the barbed wire a second time but again changes his mind, going for the Bulldog Choke, Mox refuses still, with thumbtacks still in his head as Kingston lays in on the head shots, he dodges a knee and hooks in the Rear Naked Choke, turns him into the Suzuki Piledriver and then the Bulldog Choke, knowing that Kingston needs to be conscious Moxley changes to a Paridigm Shift, locating the Barbed Wire as he tells Kingston there’s ‘No Other Way Out’, asking him not to make him do this as he wraps his hand around the wire, Kingston only gives him the finger. Moxley considers turning away, but then launches into the barbed-wire enforced Bulldog Choke, Remsburg pleading with Eddie to quit as a vacant expression covers Moxley’s face, telling Kingston that ‘it’s done’, Eddie finally quits and Mox immediately lets go, a somber look on his face as his friend lays fallen.
Post-Match, Moxley tells the camera that ‘that’s what makes a champion: heart, blood and soul - Blood and Guts!’, whether that alludes to the special we were meant to have pre-COVID is yet to be seen. He then pulls Kingston up but Kingston sways away, leaving the ring on his own. Omega then comes out to the ramp to remind Moxley of his presence and their championship match in the due future.
A hard-hitting match, you knew that Kingston and Moxley would deliver on the hardcore level and a little on the emotive level. Sadly this match did suffer from WWE giving fans an inch-perfect I Quit Match in Hell in a Cell, so the bar was very high and it unfortunately could not reach that level. Again I’m surprised that factions didn’t get involved, Kingston’s family didn’t even go with Eddie to the ring, a surprise PAC appearance was hoped but we can’t be too torn up about that. Overall it was still a good title match, albeit an inevitable outcome given that Moxley and Omega have more history.
Conclusion Though there were a few small mistakes, there was not a weak spot in this PPV. On the other hand there wasn’t a match that blew me away, it was overall a well-done PPV: worth the money but there could’ve been more. There was meant to be a tease of a debut as well but I guess that was just rumor rather than an actual promise by the company. I will critique the Team Tazz stuff again because it really puts down Darby’s championship win, some matches could’ve ended more emphatically and the Buy-In needed more matches. Also just a personal thing but they overdid the biting spots, spots like those have a 2 match threshold at best on a card. But narratively we got a lot going on, a lot of consequences for the matches on the card including the Buy In and the Bucks did make good on their FTR promise by being Match of the Night. Elite Deletion and Silver/OC was a bit of light fun, the Women’s Match was strong, the opener hard hitting and we begin our build to Revolution.

Dynamorph AU by @lulzyrobot
Decided to morph myself and my shiny zoroark. (might draw more of this on my laptop and color it, dunno when im sleepy it 6am lolol)
Trainersona: Narees
Partner pokemon: Zoroark
Moveset:
Night Daze
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
Flamethrower
Ability: Illusion
Nature:
Zoroark’s nature is adamant
since the trainer is more relaxed and modest, it helps balance out her zoroark’s stubbornness.
Her pokemon’s stubbornness also gives her a form of self confidence, making her seem more fierce and unrelenting.
However, problems can occur when she’s being too adamant (depends on her mood or the situation at hand).
As a human, she would always hear two sides of the story to help find a solution. Now, in some cases, it may seem impossible to change her opinion on something and that may cloud her judgment
but she is not fully adamant, the relaxed nature helps balance it out, making her abit more open minded to other’s suggestions, as well as calming herself down if she ever lashes out. Making it possible, with the added effort.
Characteristics: Loves to eat. (m00d lol)
Physical features:
Dark Brown Puffy fur over the shoulders and above the chest.
Greyish Fur covering up to half the arms and legs. (Leg fur stops before the toes, similar to leg warmers, think of it like fingerless gloves but for legs)(Hands are covered fully)
Sharp purple nails to look like claws.
Big grey fox-like ears.
Mostly has human like features so it sort of looks like cosplay to some people.
Purple eyeshadow-like markings, as well as lip markings.
Sharp fangs.
Hair grew longer and somehow its yellow scrunchy/orb thing is just tied on the lower part of the hair. (it doesn’t come off so its just stuck there)
Hair color would look inverted, so instead of long purple hair with brown tips, it would be dark brown hair with some bright purple tips, similar to the tied scrunchy part. (that part stays the same)(Edit:nvm it doesnt)
Eye color used to be full dark brown. Since the shiny colored zoroark has yellow eyes, it would look like a dark brown to goldish yellow gradient on the dynamorph.
Cat-like pupils.
Doesn’t wear shoes. (would sometimes wear if necessary but just wouldn’t wear them otherwise, the fur just feels uncomfortable with them on)
some days she could have sharper toenails like zoroark, but she would just file them down to make them shorter. They’d never grow as long as the pokemon’s.
Abit about the Dynamorph:
She is as kind as she is loyal. If she feels like she could be of use in a situation, then she won’t give up til its over.
She is still new to having powers/abilities, especially after realizing she’s ‘one’ with her best friend zoroark.
There are times where she should be more careful when handling with too much emotion. For example: if someone were to make her mad af, or extremely upset, it would trigger her illusion ability. Creating an illusion based on her mood which could negatively affect a large sum of ppl.
Be especially careful around her when that happens, cuz the next thing u know she’d use night daze or focus blast and blast you off to the wall.
Her illusion ability can help trick her foes into a trap as well as helping her hide in plain sight when necessary. Mostly used as a distraction, but won’t hesitate to use it against you as punishment.
Normally she would create an illusion of a thick fog if she needed to run away.(its easier, and remember, still new to the whole power thing, so she doesn’t have much practice. Overbearing emotion, example: rage will unintentionally trigger a fear inducing illusion, when she calms down it stops as if nothing happened)
Of course since she’s a pure dark type, its weaknesses would affect her. (its kinda why she got a variety of moves in her moveset)
Hobbies: Playing games, listening to music Drawing, creating minor illusions for entertainment. Sleep, sometimes cooking. When she isn’t doing any of these, she would go into a secluded part of a forest to practice her set of moves alone.

Thank you to @lulzyrobot for making this AU, i never felt so invested in a pokemon AU until now lol.🌺💜 its great!
Im sleepy gn.

i thought up a moveset and stuff for kumatora
NOTES
yes, i gave kuma earrings she either wears shorts or the underneath of her hoodie is a black void if she does wear shorts, they are black through all of the costumes
DESIGN…
blue: original costume
red: based on teddy
yellow: based on lucas (but more specifically, a character someone in the discord uses)
purple: if anyone can guess, go ahead and say it.
pink: based on the pork trooper dude
white: based on poo
green: if you can guess this one go ahead and say it as well.
other green: smash original or whatever they call that
MOVES…
neutral attack: slaps with the right hand and then does basically zelda’s multihit jab thing
forward tilt: swings a glove in front of her
up tilt: pokes upward with psi (same effects and damage as snake’s up tilt)
down tilt: slides across the ground
dash attack: jumps and slams psi into the ground
forward smash: builds up energy behind her and attacks with psi in her palms in a pose that looks like a hadoken. the longer it is charged, the bigger and stronger the attack will be.
up smash: ducks down, summoning a line of psi in her hands, “scoops” fighters in range above her, and ends in an upward stab of psi
down smash: holds her hands up in front of her, summoning a line of psi in her hands, and slams the psi into and through the ground, where it disappears quickly (spikes)
neutral aerial: fires a tiny blast of psi forward
forward aerial: puts her hands behind her, charges psi, and releases it in front of her
back aerial: does a flip, charges psi, and kicks behind her
up aerial: slaps upward with psi
down aerial: puts her hands above her, charges psi, does a flip to show off or something, and does basically donkey kongs forward air but much lower and also centered and with psi (spikes)
grab: regular grab
pummel: attacks with psi
forward throw: jumps backwards onto her hands and kicks with psi-induced legs
back throw: physically grabs opponent, does back handspring, and throws the opponent backward
up throw: psi-induced uppercut
down throw: slams opponent into the ground like lucas
floor attack front: spins around on the ground with psi
floor attack back: springs up leaving psi behind on the ground
floor attack trip: holds herself up on her hands, kicks with psi forward, and kicks with psi backward
edge attack: summons basically a psi sword and slices it in front of her
neutral special: psi lifeup - basically wiifit’s deep breathing but instead of buffs you just get more health
side special: pk beam - charges like robin’s thunder. first step is pk beam α, which deals the least damage and stops on contact. second is pk beam β, which does slightly more damage but still stops on contact, but this time it’s got a big hitbox when it hits an opponent so other opponents can join in if they happen to be nearby. pk beam γ deals the second most damage and goes through opponents when they are hit, and only stops when it hits part of a stage. pk beam Ω does the most damage, has the biggest hitbox, and goes through everything, including the stage.
up special: pk thunder. works exactly the same as lucas’s.
down special: pk freeze counter - it’s a counter that freezes opponents when it works and hits. the freeze comes out as just a blast from her palm and does no knockback, but traps the opponent and automatically releases the opponent when hit with a strong attack
final smash: pk starstorm. what did you expect
MISC TRAITS…
idle animation: bounces her body kind of similar to daisy
occasional idle animation quirk 1: puts her hands in her jacket pocket and looks around
occasional idle animation quirk 2: puts her finger up to her eyes, closes them, waits a second, and points away from her.
duck animation: the same as her “prepare to sprint” sprite from mother 3
up taunt: face the screen and summon two psi sphere things with sparkles all around them above both her hands (acts like that one greninja taunt that does damage)
side taunt: exaggerates a yawn with her hand in front of her mouth and everything
down taunt: sits on the ground and empties her boot of rocks and stuff
#kumatora#mother 3#earthbound#ssbu#super smash bros#super smash bros ultimate#smash bros#smash#smash ultimate#smash bros ultimate#i wish there was a universal way to tag that#like if you put in smash bros ultimate it would automatically correct it to ssbu or something#cause its just tedious when there are so many tags for it

Blind Shield Nuzlocke Notes 9
-After feeding him an ungodly amount of curry, Snowball evolved into a Frosmoth, boing HV the Toxtricity, Freight the Coalossal, Riot the Falinks, Echo the Obstagoon, and Nosferatu the Dreadnaw on my League team
-Side note, while I was grinding Snowball up to level fifty I swapped my main team for the backups so they wouldn’t get over leveled. Loraine evolves into a Centiscortch and Lord Tophat evolved into a Weezing
-Second side note, I just realized I accidentally used the letter L twice, ruining my naming convention
-On to Wyndon, which is based of one of the largest cities in Europe (the biggest?) and is so big it has a monorail to get around
-Oh god, there’s a guy offering a trade for a duraldon in return for Snowball. I am tempted, but no
-“Prepare to see all the forms of rotom” where’s fridge and fan you liar
-Idea: make a ground type bike rotom catchable next gen
-So an Alcremie almost one shorted Snowball but he held on because he has high affection. Thank god for curry
-“How many companies does Chairman Rose own?” He’s so obviously evil
-Screw What I said about Chirchester, THIS is a fancy hotel
-Ah man, no monorail animation?
-I gotta say, Windon is a bit of a disappointment. It looks amazing, but there isn’t a lot to do, especially when compared to Lumiose or Castelia. I can’t even ride the London Eye!
-“I feel like Challenger Blinkin has a balanced team, but he doesn’t have any way to decisively win” say that to my face bitch
-Hop and Marnie are at the stadium, bet I’ll face them and Bede in the championship
Team going in to the challengers cup, all level 55:
-Freight the Coalossal, caught in Galar Mine. Holding the rocky helmet. Knows Rock Slide, Heat Crash, Bulldoze, and Tar Shot
-Riot the Falinks, caught on South Route 8. Holding the Muscle Band. Knows Brick Break, First Impression, Close Combat, and No Retreat
-Nosferatu the Dreadnaw, caught in Giant’s Cap. Holds the Assault Vest. Knows Liquidation, Rock Slide, Crunch, and Ice Fang
-Echo the Obstagoon, caught on Route 3. Holds the leftovers. Knows Night Slash, Obstruct, Take Down, and Brick Break
-High Voltage the Toxtricity. Gifted on Route 5. Holds the Chiice Scarf. Knows Overdrive, Poison Jab, Boomburst, and Toxic
-Snowball the Frosmoth. Caught on North Route 8. Holds the Shell Bell. Knows Bug Buzz, Aurora Beam, Blizzard, and Quiver Dance
-Only four trainers competed the gym challenge. How interesting considering I have three rivals
-Wait, that means I won’t fight one
-Leading with Snowball because I have a feeling Marnie or Bede will be the first opponent
-And it’s Marnie, not surprising. I assume Hop will be next
-I just got quiver dance literally a minute before this battle (rare candies) and its perfect to take out Marnies dark team
-Also no healing or switch mode I’m deciding
Marnie
-First up is Liepard, predicting a fake out and going for quiver dance
-It used Torment. Gg, Marnie
-Next up is scrafty, dynamaxing to make sure aurora beam takes it out
-Marnie sent out Toxicroak, I did the same thing. should be able to take out all of the troublesome Pokémon before dm runs out
-Out goes her signature, more people, who goes down in one hit
-Marnie sent out grimsnarl as my dm ran out, going for another bug buzz
-And she gyantamaxed and almost killed me with snooze. But I lived
-Full sweep by the new guy
Hop
-And Hop is my opponent in the final. Am I the only competent trainer is this country?
-Predicting Corviknight as his lead, so HV is mine
-I honestly want to lose someone, just because Hop deserves a win
-Oh, he started with Dubwool
-Overdrive, cotton guard, full restore overdrive, overdrive, dubwool dead
-Hop switched to Snorlax. Riot would be better, but I’ll stick with the overdrive strat
-Oh shit almost killed me with high horsepower Riot it is
-And a brick break takes it out
-I think I’m a bit over leveled
-Hop sent out Corviknight, switched to freight, tanked a scary face
-Dynamaxed, took it out with heat crash after tanking a steal wing
-Pincuring barely survived a bulldoze. I took it out afterward, but I won’t have dynamax to take on Rillaboom
-Big monkey used mass quake, it almost killed freight, and somehow took no damage from heat crash
-Switching to Echo to stall the dynamax with obstruct
-Oh dynamax bypasses protect that’s fair
-Whatever, we’re on an even playing field now. Time to use double edge I learned from Beating Marnie
-Used obstruct to get a bit of hp because I was below half, took it out with two night slashed
-Well, he didn’t kill anyone, but he got close, so he should feel proud
-Now to take on Leon
-Or we can get takeout that’s cool too
-The apocalypse is going to happen before I fight Leon, isn’t it
-Fuck off paparazzi
-“Beating Hop was just luck” HAHAHAHAHA
-“Hop was just the rival a knew he was” a bad one
-“Think you can win the finals” Yes I’m the main character
-How does this work, plot wise, if you lose?
-Oh, Leon’s missing. Of course he is
-Leon’s at badguy’s base I was right apocalypse time
-Also, I don’t recall being able to go to rose tower. This implies windon is larger than I thought
-Piers doesn’t want the finals delayed...perhaps because the leaders are fought in the finals!
-That’s How we fight Bede because he’s balloon tower defense’s leader now
-TEAM SKULL ARE MY MINIONS NOW!
-The monorail goes through the Ferris wheel that isn’t safe
-Oh look Oleana is interfering because she’s evil
-Let’s go find the douchebag wearing sunglasses at night so we can mug him
-Okay, this dumb motherfucker decided to hide his sunglasses not by taking them off, but by staring at a goddamn wall
-God I’m over leveled
-Team skull helps me out!
-It took me 20 minutes to find the man in the phone booth
-Piers took our enemies with rock music!
-This tower is hella evil
-Murder elevator tower
-So I started this tower with Snowball out front and they only use steel types so I have to keep switching to Freight
-Also Hop starts with a dubwool the shit man
-Take a chill pill Ole
-Wait, you want to stop me so Leon can’t fight me so he’ll be sad and manipulable? Seriously?
-Frosslass, Salazzle, Milotic? So beauty/feminine pokemon
-Oh shit leg onion almost killed Snowball with acrobatics
-HER FINAL POKÉMON IS A GARBADOR YES!
-And I used my dm on Snowball so I’m taking this thing out with a non dmed HV
-It has boats it’s trash island just like galar
-Nevermind, HV’s almost dead. Switching to Echo
-Tanked two blows, time for night slash
-Ha! It uses toxic spikes!
-It did it again now it’s dead!
-Oh wow hand drawn image
-Leon’s still a good boy! Also disaster in a thousand years what
-Oh, Rose isn’t an evil coal baron. He’s an evil Elon Musk. So normal Elon Musk
-Wait, we aren’t fighting him? He’s...he’s evil! We know he’s evil! His minions tried to kill us five minutes ago!
-Whatever, it’s champion time
-I’ve been here before, Hop. I fought you here
-All of the leaders are in the lockers its rematch time
-Wait, no Bede or Opal
-I have no idea who I’ll be facing. Riot is up front I guess
-Bede’s back bitches!
-Oh shit, Riot is my lead. Wait I have a dark type I’ll be fine
-How did he even get here isn’t there security
Gym Leader Bede
-He’s starting with a Mawhile, Switching up his style
-Oh right Mawhile is a fairy type I should have switched. Whatever, it’s dead now
-I actually don’t have a good counter for gardevoir. Nosferatu cause he has an assault vest I guess.
-Dont use a full restore you little bitch
-Gardevoir down, onto Rapidash. The one that doesn’t explode when it sees a rock water
-This thing is so goddamn girly I love it
-I’m pretty sure it’s psychic, but I don’t know for sure so I’m cautious on switching to Echo
-Ha! Psycho Cut doesn’t affect me!
-Oh shit dazzling gleam. NVMD it did jack shit
-Good News: rapidash is dead. Bad news: my dark type only has 21 hit points
-Switching off Set makes the same so much more difficult I should have done this from the start
-Bede switched to hatterene and gygantamaxed
-OH GOD IT SMITED MY SNOWBALL AND ALMOST KILLED IT
-Okay, back to Nosferatu
-Okay, Nosferatu’s almost dead, back to Echo
-Switching to stall out dynamax is such a bullshit strategy
-Scouted with Obstruct, it used dazzling gleam
-Switching to Freight because she’s my only Pokémon who isn’t poison type or almost dead
-Took next to no damage, now for a max flare to end this
-GG, Bede. I know this is faint praise but that was the toughest rival battle in the game
-Okay, now for the real leaders
-I know I’m not fighting Raihan or Milo cause they’re fighting each other, so I have to worry about Water/Fire/Ghost/Ice/Dark for my first match. Nosferatu is the best for that lineup so he’s leading
-Okay, it’s Nessa. Not great, but I was tempted to go with freight instead of Nosferatu so it could be worse
Nessa
-First is Golispod. Eat rock slide
-It emergency exited to baraskewda, Switching to HV
-OH GOD DRILL RUN NEW PLAN RIOT I GUESS
-You know what? Not saving the dm. Riot flutterbied barraskewda to death
-Oh no, pelliper. Flying types are bad for riot. B: Drizzle
-It tanked a Max knuckle and used tailwind I’m fucked
-Switching back to Nosferatu. Took out pelliper but took a ton of damage. I’d switch, but the next Pokémon is a pelliper and I’m not a coward
-It almost killed by with waterfall but it’s dead now
-That leaves golispod and gm Dreadnaw. I’m going back to riot
-Killed golispod with first impression because irony
-Riots almost dead, but a close combat brought it low. Switching to Echo
-A powerful offensive move that lays stealth rock that’s broken.
-Onstruct to tank, then kill it with night slash
-OH GOD IT OUTSPED ME AND KILLED ECHO WITH LIQUIDATION
-HV barely survived the stealth rock, but Echo can Rest In Peace now
-Accidentally clicked away from the tournament screen, only saw that Piers went on. Going in pretty blind
-Replacing Echo with Warrior the grapploct. I know it’s doubling up on fighting, but it’s the only box Pokémon up to snuff
-Used some tms, current moveset Waterfall, Superpower, Brick Break, Dig
-You know, this tragedy would have been averted if I allowed healing
-Okay, making me fight the Ghost leader right after my Obstagoon dies is a dick move, game
Allister
-Is this a horrible set of working conditions destroying the games industry? CAUSE ITS CRUNCH TIME
-Duskinoir? CRONCH!
-Polteageist? CRONCH!
-Chandelure? Liquidation, actually
-Cursola? DYNAMAX CRONCH!
-Gygantamax Gengar? IRONIC VORR MONSTER CRONCH!
-So yeah, I griffin McElroy’d Allister to death
-Next up is Raihan, then Leon and Rose and box doggo and the ending. But I’ll handle that tomorrow cause it’s 2:30 AM and I got school tomorrow
-I mean, it’s in the afternoon, but I also have homework due at the start of class

Seeing Kairi in the exact same battle stances as Sora has risen my hopes she's the other playable character. Kairi always struck me as a very agressive fighter (from what little we've seen of her). I don't see her being quite a mini Aqua most fans I've come across portraying her as. Idk, I think it's because she's so direct (while Sora seems the most magic based of the trio so far). It'd be funny if Kairi ended up being the most close combat/heavy hitter of her trio.
Same, and even if she isn’t the other playable character (though I certainly hope she is!) I’m really looking forward to seeing her fighting style! She certainly isn’t afraid to jump into danger when the situation calls for it…
…so I can see her being bold and aggressive when she fights. Not necessarily heavy hitting, but more on that later.
If she has a similar moveset to Sora, that could very well hint she’ll be the other playable character. Easier to build off of his moves and develop her own unique style and flair on top of that than to create everything from scratch.
And we have seen the series do this before - compare Ven’s moveset in BBS to Sora’s in DDD and Terra and Aqua’s movesets in BBS to Riku’s in DDD - more on that later.
I think the whole “Kairi will be a mini Aqua” line of thinking came from the fact that Kairi is a Princess of Heart. She has shown before she has light-based powers…
…which she used to restore Sora to human form.
Well, light-based powers in this series are tied heavily to magic, and as Aqua is the playable character who uses magic the most, it’s easy to see why people have made that connection. No matter what form her fighting style takes, I hope it will utilize her unique light-based powers, because we have yet to see a Princess of Heart fully use said powers in combat. The closest we’ve gotten is Minnie’s light-based attacks, and a part of me wonders if Kairi might fight like that.
Another popular headcanon I’ve seen floating around is that she’ll be the Terra/heavy hitter of the group like you mentioned, as Sora’s moveset in DDD maps onto Ven’s (the dodge roll, similar Break Time) and Riku’s onto Aqua’s (see the way he cartwheels to dodge, also her Ghost Drive is really similar to one of his movesets right down to the darkness usage).
That leaves… Kairi for Terra’s. Although Riku also gets some of Terra’s commands, like Sacrifice (RIP) and his Slide Dodge in one of the final bossfights that made me want to chuck the controller at the screen. Terra’s dodge is terrible, please don’t give it to Kairi, please don’t give it to Kairi.
So I don’t know if we can conclude from that that Kairi will get Terra’s moveset, per se, but it would be a fun way to round out the Destiny Trio. Your comment about close combat intrigues me. I can see her darting in to land a few heavy blows and then rolling out of the way before her enemies can retaliate. Something just tells me she’ll be hard to land a hit on.
I think taking a look at her costume might also hint at her fighting style.
Her skirt allows for a pretty free range of movement, as the bottom part in particular flares out to give her legs plenty of room to move. She doesn’t have long sleeves that might get in the way, and her hair is short as well, which means it won’t be getting in her face as she fights.
I would not be surprised at all if she has a very elegant fighting style, just based on her visual design. Again, if we look at Sora, we can see he has a very elegant fighting style as well. Lots of twirls, spins, flips, and rapid movement:
He’s a little bigger than her, yes, but her relatively small size makes me think that she might be better suited to rapid movement and light-based magic. He is also relatively small compared to many of their allies and enemies, and he favors rapid movement. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she adapts a similar fighting style for physiological reasons.
At the very least, even if she does favor magic, I don’t think she’ll fight the same way Aqua does. For one, Aqua is much taller than her and has a different center of gravity. What works for Aqua will not work for Kairi. Kairi is much closer to Sora’s size than to Aqua’s at this point, so I can see her fighting more like Sora than like Aqua in terms of physical combat.
And looking at how she and Lea fight as a team…
…note how differently Lea holds his Keyblade from her, more befitting that of a heavy-hitter. Interesting to note is that Aced also holds his Keyblade like this:
I think Lea might wind up being the heavy hitter of the two of them, though I also like to imagine he uses a lot of Strike Raids for some reason, just as a shoutout to his chakrams. And if he and Kairi fight together a lot (which they probably will, they are training together, after all), I can see their fighting styles evolving to balance and supplement the other’s.
So to counterract Lea’s heavy hits, my guess is that Kairi will be the faster of the two. He will stun enemies with some incredibly hard hits, and she will dart in when they aren’t paying attention. He will guard and she will heal, he will use lots of fire magic and she will use lots of water magic, that kind of thing. My guess is that their fighting styles were developed in tandem, which is why I’m speculating they will complement each other well.
And on a more sentimental note, obviously Sora means a lot to Kairi. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she purposely adopted his fighting stance as a way to emulate him. And personally, I like her having a conscious choice in choosing to adopt his fighting stance. It puts her training in her hands. It lets her be in control, shows that she’s taken charge of her fighting style and is completely intentional and serious about her role in the final conflict.
Whew that got long-winded again, but thank you for the ask as always! :)
