I have too many fanfic ideas for The Thea Sisters
I'm facing a little bit of a writer's block because my brain can't settle down and focus on one thing at a time. Then I remembered that polls are a thing on this magical hellsite, so...
I'm letting you guys decide! Below are three fic ideas and a poll, and whichever one has the most votes will be the one I start to work on.
1: Flower Shop AU: Violet Chen, a college freshman, begins to work part time for Casper van Garten*, a famous tulip expert. She struggles to navigate herself between her college classes, her new job, and two incredibly attractive blondes who are constantly flustering her. (*See The Great Tulip Heist)
2: Meeting Creepella von Cacklefur: The Thea Sisters' excursion to Mysterious Valley goes awry when supernatural events begin to follow them everywhere they go. After reaching out to their mentor for help, Thea suggests that they should contact the nearby journalist/investigator, Creepella. Will the five friends get over Creepella's eccentricity to discover the truth of what's going on?
3: Werewolf AU: In this fantasy-eque setting, Nicky is a werewolf that owns a sheep ranch on the outskirts of town. Due to the local's fear of monsters, she tries her hardest to keep this fact hidden. However, her odd behaviours begin to arouse some suspicion in her friends... and now the only question is how well they will take the truth.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but anyone who demeans you and laughs about it is not doing it "affectionately." Anyone who talks down to you is not doing it "affectionately." Anyone who talks over you and then pats your head when you try to reassert yourself within the conversation is not doing it "affectionately."
Any "teasing" that makes a joke of your intelligence, wisdom, or intellect is not teasing. Any "teasing" that centers around you being lesser is not teasing. It's a giant fucking red flag.
When your friends and family point this out to you, don't fight them on it. Even if your knee jerk reaction is "oh they don't mean it, that's just their way, everybody's like that somehow." Especially if that's your knee jerk reaction. Because it's not true. That shit is aimed at making you a better doormat.
Don't try to be a softer rug to "keep the peace"/otherwise pacify people who treat you this way. Grow spikes instead. See how they like stepping on you then.

but what if i requested you to read into it 👁️👁️ (from someone who's never seen the stageplay)
Disclaimer: I'm talking about a scene from the stage play adaptation of Storm Bringer, which I have no idea if Asagiri even looked at the script of, take this as good fun and nothing else
Context: when Adam leaves the room in the police station, Murase tries to get Chuuya to sign a paper that would let him put Chuuya under protection if he gave them inside info on the PM's black market. Chuuya's answer is that the PM is no small organization, and that any attempt to catch them would fail, since the PM has lawyers and ways to alter/erase evidence. Then, Murase says that he has his own reason for doing this, and starts telling how when he had no money, his brother (aka N) got him work as a security guard, for a military research facility near/in a settlement (implied: the Arahabaki project lab pre-Suribachi city)
All that follows the book, it's cool, and as a stylistic choice to keep the visuals interesting during the play, as long as Chuuya is talking about the PM's influence, they have Mori walking on stage to represent the mafia. But!
He gets to the back of the stage when Murase takes over with his story, saying he has his own reason for doing this. Instead of leaving, he turns around towards Chuuya and Murase, and stays there, only leaving the moment Murase mentions the military lab, two-three lines later.
He should have left when the PM was no longer of subject! Why did he turn around! Why did he stay! Why was that the turning point! Does it mean anything?? What does it mean?!?

Cervantes de Leon with Soul Edge (in twin blade form) in the prologue illustration of the second Soul Edge light novel Wandering in the Dark Forest. (It's the one that focuses on Siegfried and Sophitia.) His introduction is as creepy as the captain of a ghost ship should be, but the real nightmare was getting this to look halfway decent without breaking the book's spine!
Anyway, the first thing he does is have his ship (which is described as a rotting "ghost ship" with torn sails) ram into some other hapless ship in the middle of a storm. It sounds like it shouldn't work, but he and his undead crew murder everyone aboard, completely ransack the ship, and leave it to the mercy of an oil fire. Cervantes then chills out in his cabin about as much as he can chill out while slowly losing his will to an evil sword spirit. Here's a little excerpt from my translation, after the scene described earlier:
Behind Cervantes, Soul Edge faintly shook. For a moment, an eerie red glow shone from the blades. Cervantes’ eyes widened. He heard a voice. A dark soul is about to be born, the voice rang in a low, nigh inaudible, yet intense surge. Cervantes felt something stir in the pit of his stomach.
Go to Germany, the voice commanded. It was a forceful order that he could not resist.
There is a young, innocent soul in Germany who is bound for a bloody fate. Find him and offer him to me.
You know where this is going. I don't have a lot of notes for the prologue (at least nothing silly); I do find it cool. This book might not be canon but I appreciate the beskulled throne.
