Its okay to be sad. Feel your feelings. It's normal and perfectly okay. Your writing will always be there. Your mental health should always come first.
aLSO OMFG SHUT UPI CAN BE THE SAME WAY BUT IT'S THAT IM TOO DISTRACTED ALL THE TIME. I'm /too/ talkative and I sometimes i feel like people are like wow not talking to this bitch lmfaooooooo. I'm always like damn my extroversion strikes again 😭
Go ahead and show us!!! I'd love to see it!!
Oh my God I'm a huge fucking metalhead. Screamo is my preferred genre, but it's pretty much all under the heavy metal genre. I'm going to see Motionless in White in July for theeeeeee 3rd? time???? I can't remember, but asdhlasiudhasildh highly recommend listening to them and their album "Scoring the End of The World" . Fucking incredible. Also Amity Afflictions new album "Not Without My Ghosts" . One song on there called "When It Rains It Pours" has been on repeat for the past four weeks for me. 🥲
ALSO can't believe that interviewer didn't bother asking his favorite metal bands LIKE YOU HAD ONE JOB. ONE. 😭😭😭😭
Oh shit i think i just got an idea for an aemond au i could write 😈😈😈😈😈
(: yeah. it is ok to be sad. its just a challenge to navigate
IM ALSO A DISTRACTED TALKATIVE PERSON LOL and im also sometimes on the fence about how people react to me and my learned extraversion AHAHAH
ANYWAY HERE ARE MY TSHIRT DESIGNS try not to mind my annoying watermark. i added it cos of the 'ok anons' i get that i do not trust. i did this for fun and i dont want anyone to do anything but look at this. @lexi-anastasia wanted to see too so heres the big reveal LOL

🤠BONK🤠
OK I HAVE AN ADAM DRIVER AS MAURIZIO GUCCI BRAINROT OK OK AND I REALLY WANTED TO TAKE A WACK AT DOING THE METAL DAEMON TEE BEFORE REPLYING. i know the metal tee it could be more distressed but IDK I THINK ITS A SLAY IM GOING TO BE MAKING MORE IM THINKING OF REDOWNLOADING PHOTOSHOP JUST FOR THIS PROJECT COS I DID THIS ON CANVA AND THERE ARE EFFECTS I CANT ACHIEVE THERE
I PLAN TO MAKE LIKE FIVE SHIRTS SO AHHH IM SO EXCITED HAHAHAHAHAH but also i probably wont redownload photoshop cos its been years since i touched that 😓 lolol
also! im so glad that you mentioned the music you did.
ive heard of motionless in white! i think i tried getting into them but lol i didnt AHAHH i took a listen to scoring the end of the world, as in the song, COS WHAT AN INSANE TITLE THATS SO COOL i loved the song so MUCH!!! i really liked how heavy the instrumentation is! i look for this in pop music a lot and im like 🧍‍♀️ why didnt they go heavier? SO THIS WAS REALLY NICE
but then i kinda giggled when i heard the lead's emo voice T_T HAHAHAH i was like yeah that's about right, i'd nearly forgotten some people sing like this unironically 💀💀🤣🤣 idk i had expected a voice timbre like the singer in maneskin, damiano LOL. i could talk about this more but itd get too long
i also listened to "Not Without My Ghosts", not realizing you were just mentioning the album name, and "When It Rains It Pours". when i was listening to not without my ghosts i thought scoring the end of the world would have been cooler had the motionless in white singer had that kind of voice timbre BUT THATS NOT A SLIGHT I JUST THINK THAT PERSONALLY I STILL THINK ITS A SLAY.
and when i was listening to when it rains it pours, it for some reason reminded me of pain by of mice & men, idk if its the screams or the lyrics, maybe a bit of both. i love that song so much. anyway when it rains it pours was like... ok for me lololol again not a slight but i liked scroing the end of the world better
oh and i hadnt realized ewan talked about that in an interview. i mean, maybe the interviewer was idk nervous or smth T_T LOL. i t be like that. anyway, i hope you have fun writing that aemond au idea my love! id ask you what is is but if you wanted to say then you would have lol.
thank you for dropping by!!! i love you

Hey guys, I've been quiet for a while and I'll tell you why. First, I got really sick since last month but I'm getting better now. Normally I don't get sick during the summer, but the weather over here has been up and down, messing with my allergies.
Second, I got a new computer. The laptop I use to draw was having problems and I took in and found out that the battery was overheating (that was my fault '-_-). So I had to transfer all of my stuff to the new (used) laptop and this is where my nightmare began. Turns out the laptop's mouse was defective and it was not connecting to my pen. So I had to return it, wait for a week for a brand new laptop, take it in, and transfer my stuff again. It was crazy. But now, everything is set up, it took while and I had to redownload photoshop and redownload some brushes I use.
And lastly, there something I need to talk about. Before my old laptop overheated, I was working on posters of my own characters for my book I'm publishing this year. I'm really focus on having that done so I probably won't be making fanart for the next few months, maybe I'll make some doodles. Once I'm done I'll show you guys on this account and share links to my book's accounts.
I'll be updating my account with the links.
So that's what I've been up to. Hopefully there won't be anymore surprises. Sorry I was away but I'm back and I'm dying to draw again. :)

Connor - Week of 12/02
This week was a whole lot of refinement and added detail, from music and sound effects to culling and decals, this week had a little dash of this and a little sprinkle of that (and it wouldn't be a dev week without Plastic trying to sabotage us, so don't worry, a dash of that is thrown in too).
Edit: It seems Tumblr was in cahoots with Plastic and decided to mess with me this week too; while adding my second to last photo, Tumblr decided to pull a sick prank and delete everything I had written, except for that photo and the above paragraph; my apologies if this post is not as eloquent as it could be, I'm just trying to get it done at this point.
My primary concern was getting Buto in line. It's not that Buto wasn't working right, but Buto wasn't working right (or we at least could not figure out what was going wrong). The major issue Buto had was that the volumetric fog would not reach the tops of the buildings that the volume encompassed. Based on the documentation, the only thing that I could maybe find as the problem was that no matter how big the volume is, there might be a certain point from the center where the fog just wont render. After delving deeper into the documentation, Valentine helped me in finding something called a Fog Density Mask. The Fog Density Mask is a component that can be placed on any game object that emits a smaller radius of whatever the main volume is emitting.
Tumblr media
The Density (the amount of fog), Radius(the size of the volume), and Falloff(the rate of decay the further out the fog gets from the center of the volume) are all editable fields we can use to make each secondary emission seamless with the primary one.
Tumblr media
After placing a Fog Density Mask on the tops of each building that the player can access, the effect seemed to hold up very well.
Tumblr media
Now, the only downside to this Buto fix is that performance takes a bit of a hit. On that note, it seems like a great time to talk about culling!
Last week, we tried implementing culling, and while it seemed to work great at first (taking our initial ~15-30fps in our most taxing universe [Hellscape] to ~100fps), some of the buildings, specifically in the background scene, did not load in properly when they were in view, and because it was very distracting and glitchy, it pretty much ruined the gameplay experience for the player. We ended up taking it out for the time being because of that but plan on reimplementing it when we figure out how to fix the buildings acting like that.
Tumblr media
This is the performance of the Hellscape without culling.
Tumblr media
This is the performance of the Hellscape with culling.
These performances are actually better than last week because for these, our GarbageCollector is far less taxing than it was, we also made some changes to sound effects and background music; I assume Valentine will talk more about those in her post.
On average, we get an average of about 20-60fps, depending on player movement:
Tumblr media
Another big thing we wanted to figure out how to implement was the decal system. The desire to have decals in the game is twofold: we want the player to see the "drawing" of the tunnel in the last part of the last puzzle as a necessary visual indication of environmental tampering, and we also wanted to stamp visuals on certain surfaces to draw the player's attention (i.e.: the tire marks in front of the telephone pole to indicate the player can slam the car into it). Jeremy helped me figure out documentation and implementation, and after some time in photoshop, the results were pretty cool (and they work hand-in-hand with Jeremy's new car movement system!):
Tumblr media
Because we were already in URP, the implementation was fairly painless; the most difficult part after getting the materials in was adjusting them to fit where we wanted them to be, which, again, wasn't too bad at all.
It wouldn't be a normal week of development if Plastic worked how it should, so we needed to redownload the repository a couple of times, but that was no big deal... just 30 minute chunks of wasted time... no big deal... *twitch, twitch*.

on an ill chosen hobby
Oil painting is a hard hobby to maintain as a low energy person who only paints a couple times a year, because the materials degrade relatively fast. The paints are fine, and so are the brushes if you take care of them, but the things just tend to... congeal. The painting media and paints get gummy at the lids, and the walnut oil for cleaning brushes turned into disgusting solid gunk in my jar over the past half year. My brush cleaning soap either bubbled during the summer or grew some kind of mold.
Also, it’s an ordeal to get everything set up. Every time I want to have a painting session, I have to cart up to the balcony
- The canvas, and my computer if I have reference images
- My art kit, which has the brushes and paints and pencils and palette knives
- Three different containers of indispensable painting media
- Palette paper that I mix paint on
- A jar of oil I stick my brushes in in between painting, and a jar where I’ll mix the three different painting media to get the mix with the right viscosity / drying speed
- Special paper towels to wipe palette knives and brushes on
- Nitrile gloves, since some paint is not good to get on your skin, especially if you have torn cuticles like I do
This takes three or four trips, because this is a lot of stuff and I always forget something. Also, I’m constantly forgetting to change into painting clothes, and there’s a slow one way conversion of normal pants into painting pants.
This is kind of a pain, enough that I’m inclined to lapse and just let the skill rust. Except - I’ve put in enough practice enough into this that I’m good at oil painting. I can put in 6~30 hours into some project and produce work that you’d expect some people to want to buy with real money. And, also, I love doing it when I have an image I actually want to deliver into the world. When I have an idea I care about and start sketching it, I get these excited pre-date-type shakes, like - “This is going to be so wonderful, I just need to pull myself together and follow through with it.” (I only said that to get the point across, I am never that excited about dates.)
I get about 20 hours of sublime joy from oil painting, spread out over 5 sessions a year, with various finicky materials slowly rotting in the interims. This would be so much better-feeling if I did this 5 hours a day every day.
(Same thing with digital art: I pay $10 a month for Photoshop, which seems ridiculous considering I use it every other month, except I just subscribe and redownload the next time I’m burning to plunge into a project I absolutely have to do or I’ll die with longing.)

hi i'm the same anon from before asking about the gifs~ if u could go into more detail plspls! i actually have vapoursynth but i lost motivation to make gifs bc it's so slow on my laptop for some reason and it takes forever to just make a set of gifs hhh :(
of course angel !!! i totally get it about losing motivation, i actually have the opposite problem, my avisynth runs really fast but my ps is so slow T_T and i’m sorry i can’t help with the vapoursynth as i don’t have it so idk anything about it’s files and stuff, perhaps you could try uninstalling and redownloading?? or looking up any tutorials in case a file is missing or smth?? 🙇🏻‍♀️ but yea i’ll go into some more detail on my process and stuff below the cut ~ and if you have any other questions feel free to ask 💓💞
1. download the video. it depends on what site it’s on what app i use to download. for youtube videos i use 4kdownloader, for vlives i use soshistagram and for anything else (i.e. twitter/instagram) i use just random downloaders i find from google
2. send it through avisynth. my settings are normally 30 fast, debilinear. and i also crop in avisynth but tbh my cropping setting vary So Much, i just stick to the tumblr width requirements and change the height to my preference/depending on the gif!!
3. import into photoshop. at this point i also have any psd i made that i want to put onto the gif loaded. i also edit the speed of the gif because when it is imported it’s more often than not way faster than i like. i tend to have my speed on .04-.05
4. add my psd/make my coloring. i would either layer the psd over and edit to my liking or if i feel like i can just make a coloring from scratch then i will go ahead with that. i don’t give out my psds, but i know blogs like chaoticresources and completeresources have really good psds and such that you can use!!
5. sharpen + (occasionally) topaz. i then convert the whole gif into a smart filter, add my sharpening and topaz denoise/clean if i want to (i don’t do it as much anymore)
6. export !!!

hi! got a new computer recently so i had to redownload photoshop.. when i first got ps, i didnt download topaz things until a long while after having gotten ps. now i redownloaded topaz things but they say they are corrupt and lcms (not sure if right word) shuts it down. is it normal? should i wait for "7 day trial" to end or is this worrying
did you download this topaz labs thing from the same place that you had downloaded it when you had your old computer, or was it from a different place? if from a different place, the download might be bad...
when you downloaded your topaz labs, did the popup saying the files were corrupt appear on your computer or did it appear when you opened photoshop? and did you replace the amtlib.dll file for your photoshop yet?
