Hey everyone. I just want to let everyone know what's happening with this account. As many of you know this acct was originally about books but I wanted to branch out and find more inspo, however that's proving to be hard when my parents STILL don't want to understand how social media marketing works, plus WFH doesn't help in the creativity dept, so I've gradually posted less. As a result I won't focus as much on SMM and blogging. I'll continue but lack of creativity withholds me from doing what I enjoy daily. My new goal is to post as much as possible on Stories and at least once a week on the feed. I'm also going to stick to more non-literary content such as college advice. If you have any suggestions or ideas, pls feel free to share them! I'll let you know whether I can incorporate them or not. Thank you for understanding, I appreciate your support! Spending 3 years marketing for #bookstagram and the reading community has taught me crucial insights into digital marketing for major, indie, and international publishers and authors. Reading is a fav past time of mine since childhood, and since I've graduated I wanted to work in digital marketing, specifically marketing to readers. This field is ever-growing, changing, and extremely popular, with more people trying to break-in, but you may be wondering "Is it still worth it?" "Is this profitable within the publishing industry?" "Can you make money marketing for publishers?" The answer is YES! In order to stand out and become profitable you must: 1. Determine your niche. Which genre(s) do you want to talk about? Age groups? Formats (hardcover, paperback, audio, or digital)? 2. What's your strategy? Post 1x/day? Vlog? Use Tumblr? Go back to the 1st step and research to determine your unique strategy 3. Analyze your results. Are your videos gaining more traffic, likes, and comments than photos? Is YouTube more profitable than regular blogging? Hello peeps, I was gonna type "Happy Friday" but realized today's Thursday 😩 Some days feel like that, but WFH blurs those days even more! In general I don't mind working from home but mentally logging out of work is hard when it's just a click away but not a commute. Solution?
