My tumblr accounts were terminated

I'm pretty gutted.☠️ Mon Jul 17 I submitted a ticket, and a couple of days ago I replied to the automatic e-mail reply, and have yet to receive a reason why from tumblr. I don't understand why there is no warning system in place to avoid situations like these, much less why all my blogs would be nuked if I was doing wrong in just one of them (that's what Youtube does with videos or playlists). I've been on tumblr since 2011 and it was such a corner of the internet for me, and as much as I once knew not to trust it, my blogs were safe spaces. It's a big shame because my posts had JUST gotten some rising popularity, getting to the point where I was getting reblogs for original art!!

I was getting followed by various spam and porn related bots, and a friend told me there was a glitch in which random posts were being marked as explicit... who knows. I also have a suspicion there was ill-intent as well. So I'm starting over!

I'm still alive, I will survive. To new beginnings!

For context, my accounts were terminated temporarily and it was a huge scare for me, as I hated the feeling of losing memories and evidence from some crucial years of my life. I made a whole comic about it. Additionally, my struggles with social media have been life long and I would like to take this opportunity and take big steps in setting some boundaries and ensuring I can complete goals with my art.

2023 Summary of Art Meme Full View

Thank you everyone for your interest and love this year!! Some of my reflections below~

I'm actually surprised to see so much art, I really thought I'd be struggling to find good things to show. This year I managed to complete a few projects such as:

Dragon a Day in April

Art Fight in July

Jester Costume for the Renaissance Fair in September

re-opening of my Flight Rising art shop

...and more! Honestly, all pretty huge, considering it was a difficult year: family surprise visit in February 👹, a couple of short notice "eviction" scares 🙄, my tumblr termination scares 😱, a lack of a routine on account of big changes in my household's dynamic 🤮, internal turmoils ⛅, etc.

However, I feel really confident and pleased with the new direction of my art. I finally figured out a good workflow that allows me to draw traditionally and color digitally. I'm still having a blast giving my sketchbook madness a kick of digital spice - case in point, this meme. I also got better at Project Diva and completed all achievements in Rayman Legends, Inscryption, and all sorts of videogames - weirdly proud about that (though I'll admit I looked up the secrets for the latter game because I'm not Solve ARG smart, only Win Battle smart).

I was JUST looking at my 2023 goals but I can't seem to find the picture to compare. If I do I'll post it. But for 2024, I made an art bingo at my friend's suggestion!

We're gonna see how this GOES..... I'm doing very small preparations for the event, honestly looks like most of the work is already there... I was just hoping to keep it light by using Flight Rising OCs instead of like STORY OCs... WE'LL SEE.
