Here i am again after another year, drew alot of stuff, many sketchbooks filled but still haven't met some goals i was hoping for so maybe this upcoming year.

Touch.

Accidental and intentional. Unwanted and needed. Cautious and greedy.

Touches louder than a cry, and quieter than a whisper.

Stronger than words that are often too much or not enough.

Touches we feel not with our skin but in our heart.

A great art year, all in all! Worked a lot and didn't have as much time for personal work as I wanted (what else is new) but I did level up my traditional art adventures! A personal victory :) Professionally I had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects! I normally try to fill these Summary of Art things with as much personal art as possible, but this time I used a lot of client work because I really like how they turned out! (✿◡‿◡) I wish you all a wonderful year of 2024 - good health, happiness, money (it helps!), and peace, peace, peace ❤

My thoughts under the cut ✂

Oh boy let me tell you. (TMI probably) It was a pretty good year until it totally wasn't. And I can't stress enough how much it wasn't good then. It all started with jumping head-first into WolfStar bc why not. And it was so nice, I still have like 5 other illustrations started. But then my doc prescribed me some hormones and it all went crashing down. I didn't expect it and I was so very not prepared. It started like a regular sad PMS that just didn't end. But then it got worse, every day I felt like I was stepping into depression at an alarmingly fast pace. When I reached the bottom it felt so much worse than what I've ever experienced and the only thing keeping me going day after day was the knowledge that those damn meds were to blame and if only I could go through the whole treatment I surely (HOPEFULLY) would go back to normal. Looking back at it now, I realize I could have contacted my doc and simply dropped the treatment bc it was totally not worth it (and it didn't work anyway so (^: ). But I didn't know my brain was capable of jumping so deep so fast. So I pushed through somehow, wasted 4 months of 2023 on barely surviving. With the hormones out of my system I managed toy prepare and finish whole Inktober. I still don't know how it happened. Where I found the energy to do that after my mid-year drama? But I'm very proud it somehow happened :) Also sometime during Fall I found out about and started "Artist's Way". It slowly changed my mindset and now I'm full of willpower and creative energy for 2024 (still have pretty much zero free time so ya know, I don't know when new works will drop)

summary of art 2023 It looks like I haven't drawn much these past two months but I actually have been drawing an incredible amount...they're just mostly commissions and a 22 page exclusive comic for the next Polaris book.

i didn't make much art this year, but i'm proud of the ones i did manage to make!

a summary of my original work from this year! i was wondering why i had several blank spots and then remembered i did a lot of commission stuff in those months, so some months were super productive and others weren't. hope to have a more even spread next year though, and to see more improvement! i did a lot of work i was happy with (though several of the pieces don't feature here due to the month-based constraint)

sliding this in last minute. couple cop outs this year... i think this was a very social year for me lol, spent a lot of time with friends and family and at events, less time drawing stuff. even though I didn't draw as much as i wanted to but i liked a decent amt of what i did....!

my summary of art for 2023. putting it side by side with the one from last year makes me soooo :3 template by taxkha. 2022 summary below cut
