Bruce isn’t a shop-a-holic in any sense of the word. Usually you’d have to drag him there to do it but he does enjoy going to a public market or even a farmer’s market to get veggies, fruit, spices you name it. He loves cooking.

“It’s snowing!”

If he was being honest, being a parent had not exactly been on his list of things he felt he could do, after being freed from HYDRA and working on his recovery. Bucky was traumatized and would be for the rest of his extremely life, and being a cat parent had been hard enough. But life was funny that way, and now there was an 18 year old living in this old brownstone with him that was his own. Bucky heard the exultant shout from overhead while he moved around the kitchen on the first floor, making breakfast. He knew it was snowing, of course - winter in New York made for white Christmases every year - but it was always nice to see the first snowfall. Before long, the whole city would be coated in white and look like something out of a postcard - well, at least, certain parts of the city would look like a postcard. The rest of the city would just look grey and still have that distinct urban smell. "Yeah - you gonna come down here and eat?" Bucky turned and knelt to give Alpine fresh water, just as the coffee finished brewing.

The teenager didn’t hear the other guy at first, but in the corner of his eye he saw him approach. He looped a finger around one of his earphones and pulled it out before speaking up. “Oh, sorry.” Ethan looked to his hand to notice that it was indeed not the smoothie he’d ordered. 

“Yeah, definitely not mine.” He let out a light-hearted laugh, offering over the other’s order. “Sorry man, totally didn’t realise. I didn’t take a drink or anything, so you’re good.”

What Does Your Heart Look Like?

Who are you without the company of others? You aren’t sure, but you know that you aren’t fond of whoever it is. You are an actor, a pretty face and a pleasant song. Many idolize you, or love you, but you can never be sure of how sincere it is. Your heart is buried under the letters they leave you, sealed with a kiss. It can’t be untangled from the red strings they’ve attached to you. You deserve to find something, someone, true and faithful to hold your heart in place.
