Hiden IT public image was currently in the mud.

Supposedly, people were afraid of humagears due to their unpredictable tendency of going berserk.

Yet, SolFlows, Chiden Real Estate and Ashida Lawyer Office still employed humagears to assist them on their businesses. These companies did not deactivate Sakuyo, Smile and Bingo and many people still came to these companies and used humagears’ services without any fear.

Even Metro Police Department still used humagears, a group of them.

This made the threat to Hiden IT felt unreal.

Perhaps, it was thanked to Korenosuke’s charisma?

I wondered if Korenosuke was a friend with the Chief of Police.

13. What flora covers your world?

Plants! Because worldbuilds need a little green.

Even off worlds need green sometimes.

One very special plant comes not from a planet, although it was initially designed on Thema, but from SPACE!

Some older ships, like the Riada, made when bio-supplements were all the rage, have a layer of moss growing in the walls. It helps produce oxygen and absorbs space radiation. And enterprising or budget spacers have discovered that when the moss outgrows the frame, the excess can be scraped and eaten. Or fermented.

No judgement.

And the green isn’t even green sometimes. Outside of the area where the exploding lizard scientific outpost is, JR-99 has trees with navy bark and orange leaves. Very pretty.

Inside that more arid zone inhabited by the outpost and the stranded, there’s mostly just spiky plants. One of these plants, which doesn’t not resemble a cactus, can be fermented which has come as a minor relief to the stranded who have little else to look forward to.

Spektor has its swamps and forests so lots of plants. But to single something out, Spektor is home to some local plants which make quite a quality tea that was popular on Thema.

The war interrupted off-world shipments but the Spektoran Unity Party has announced it will be taking over the tea industry with Tachyonic as the off-world distributor once the war is officially over.

As for Thema, a lot of its foliage was brought over from Earth but a great deal of natural foliage exists, such as the Solflower. It resembles the sunflower, hence the name, but the flowers grow in different colors depending on light and UV levels.

It’s very popular on Thema to grow them in different colors or patterns by controlling the light exposure.

"I... have no idea how or why you had the seeds in storage, but it's a solflower. The seeds are edible to humans." She gestured to the enormous cluster of seeds making up most of the head. Then, she reached out and gently touched the petals, running her senses through the plant.

"It seems to be normal. Non-toxic. I suppose you astartes can also eat the rest of the plant if you really want to. It won't taste like much though."

She crouched down, turning her attention to the carrots. If she'd got the solflower to grow without mutating disfavourably, well...
