A peep through to a typical house setting, the same house mentioned in my previous post from #Arunachal Pradesh - village close to Bhutan border. I was birding along the way to Sela top and doing a little recce of the nearby places. It's really tiring to travel, do recce and birding all at the same time through the winding roads, but yet it's always fun. After a hectic travel of 5 hrs, it was time for a tea break (mandatory being a punekar 😉). So I decided to take a pit stop at this tiny yet super warm house. A small place with two rooms, one which is seen in the picture which served as a living room with a chulha (hearth)🔥, kitchen, bedroom 🛌, store room all in one and the other was modified for a little shop owned by a family of 3 (Mom, Dad and a two and a half yr old kid). Life in the mountains 🏔️ is really tough especially where there is hardly any development and people in this village really live hand to mouth. A Father who was working as a laborer at the road construction site, mother was looking after the house and the shop and the kid was enjoying his childhood roaming around on the streets, playing in the snow and eating toffees from his own shop 🍬🍭 . I was welcomed by this adorable kid with his super innocent smile. We both took a seat next to each other, sipping our tea ☕ near the chulha 🔥 as it was cold ❄️outside. I was super surprised to see this tiny kid sipping hot tea and finishing it before me, I was not even done with half glass☕ . Moreover, what really amazed me was when I paid the money 💰to his mom, he grabbed it from her and went to put it in the money box 📦 kept in their shop. Multiple thoughts and emotions just crossed my mind, once again making me realize the value of money. .
