Hello from Drombeg Stone Circle in Glandore, Ireland! 🇮🇪🪨😺

This is an ancient megalithic site dating back to the Bronze Age to early Iron Age and was used until the 5th Century AD. The stone circle features 17 stones, 13 of which are still standing. There were cremated remains of an adolescent in a pot found in the circle’s center. The second photo shows a roasting oven area for heating water and the third photo shows the cooking area.

While it’s amazing to see stones still standing for thousands of years that were influenced by humans, it’s always a bit eerie to me that these stone circles have human remains, so I try not to step on too much of anything out of respect. These monuments are literally graveyards. So after a quick walk around and admiring the feats, I leave and don’t spend too much time at these places.

But now you can enjoy these photos without the eerie feeling I experienced 😺

With daily rain showers, green hills, unique tea plantation and cooler temperatures than rest of the southeast. Camron Highlands became my second destination in Malaysia. The town has quite impressive tea culture, there favorable climate with plenty of rain allows the tea harvesting all year round. And BOH tea plantation is claimed as the biggest in Southeast Asia. I got there with my 3 other backpacker fellows and hostel mates. BOH was quite far from the main town so our journey started with bus ride on winding road from town of Tana Rata. After 15 mins of ride, it dropped us on the road going uphill, and from right there a pleasant hike started. Side by side soothing tea fields were accompanied us, green hills were everywhere till up to the skies, sun was playing hide & seek with clouds and pleasant breeze was enough to make this all a visual treat. This calmness of the air breaks when some motorbike honked on us on twisty narrow road. The picturesque trail didn’t let us realize that we walked around 1 hour some uphill and then downhill too. On the way I listened many of stories from my travel fellows those were coming from their exploration of other parts of Asia, Nepal to Laos, they had a lot to share. Their experiences and stories were quite a treat to listener like me and i pull some inspiration from their, and pinned couple of new destinations on the map of my imaginations. Almost an hour later we ended up to BOH Tea House. Where entire harvest from the plantation to process happen, all fields to a nearby factory can be seen in a glance. And tea is served right there in BOH tea house. Just pick a flavor of your choice and sip on meanwhile catching the sight of endless tea plantations around you. There while holding my cup of tea and facing the ceaseless tea harvests i wondered if tea was in my cup or I were in the tea, pretty much confusing isn’t it..? I don’t know where I’m going, but I know I’m on the right path. Doubts enter my mind quite often whether I did the right thing of leaving everything to pursue this type of lifestyle. But I think of the alternative: staying in the 9-5 hustle, 2 weeks vacation a year and THEN do this when I retire. No, that is not an option for me. There is no other choice. So when you’re faced with doubts in life, think of the alternative of how things might play out. See how far you’ve come and evolved. Sometimes we might try to hold onto things from our past and that’s okay. I’m still holding onto my loved ones back home. But that’s about it. The unknown can be scary, but is an opportunity for growth and self improvement. You may not know where your path will lead you, but if you kinda like it, it excites you, you’re gonna be okay. Hello from Pollan Bay in the County of Donegal, Ireland! I could have spent hours here just watching the waves crash against the rocks. This is one of those places where you WITNESS the power of Mother Nature. I captured a tiny bit, on the right side of the photo, you can see the power that happens when water crashes into ground. It’s actually pretty dangerous because the water carries rocks and shoots them into the sky as well. I backed up a bit once I saw a bunch of rocks on the ground and realized how they got there. 😬 Are there any places you’ve visited where Mother Nature is so powerful, it scares you? Happy Meown-day y’all!😺 How are you? How was your weekend? I’m out here tryna get MY head pet from all the cats I’ve been petting over the last few decades. Y’all can give me a shoulder blade massage too sometimes, ya know? But I’ve been resting and recovering. I’m taking a week break. This Europe heat is no joke. I was questioning why am I so tired? It usually doesn’t take me a week to recover from a few days hard ride and I realized it’s due to the weather. It’s been high 80/ 90 F or 30/32 C out here and my body hasn’t gotten used to it, so it depletes me. Wearing all black gear in the sun super dehydrates you. I think I just need to take more breaks and drink electrolytes throughout the day. No more drinking just water because it’s not enough for me. Anyone have any tips for consecutive (months long) hot riding days? No one said chasing your dreams would be easy. It tests your physical and mental limits, but it’s part of the process.
