Word Count: 2,900ish
Warnings: language, mentions of death, injury, angst
______
Three Weeks Later
“Square up your shoulders more,” said Dean. You threw a fist into the pad he was holding, Dean stepping back a foot. “Told you so.”
“You let me have that one,” you said, throwing another punch and another before you backed off and took a deep breath. “I think I’m good.”
“Alright,” he said, setting down the mat as you ripped off your gloves and started to unravel the tape on your hands. “Oh, hey. I got you a present.”
He reached into his shorts pocket and tossed you a roll of pink tape, laughing when you gave him a glare.
“Cute,” you said, putting it away with your gloves, Dean slapping his hands on your shoulders as you headed out.
“I’m glad we found our thing to bond over,” he said. “Plus now I know if you’re ever out on a date, you can slug the guy if he gets too handsy.”
“It’s definitely helped,” you said, pausing by the stairs. “I’m not so scared anymore.”
“You need to do things for you too, Y/N. You’ve spent so long looking out for thing one and thing two up there. You have the ability to do stuff you want to now, like how you enjoy boxing,” said Dean.
“I know. Speaking of which, can I get some bath bombs for Christmas? I heard those are super nice in the tub,” you said. Dean stared at you, looking over your head.
“You’re such a girl,” he groaned, shaking his head with a smile as he walked up.
“Please?” you asked as you followed him up.
“Yes, you can get some. If it stains the tub you’re cleaning it though,” he said.
“Can that be my other present? You cleaning?” you asked.
“Fine,” he said, pretending to sulk. “I think I can come up with a little something you’ll enjoy.”
“Dad!” said Rae, nearly running into Dean when you both came up the stairs.
“No running near the stairs, cutie. What’s up?” he asked.
“Ryan stole my cookie!” she said.
“That sounds like a you problem,” you said, Dean ruffling your head before you went into your room and hopped in your shower. You washed your hair and spent some time drying it off before throwing it up in a messy bun, changing into some comfy clothes before you headed out of your room. “Hey Dean. Could we make some Christmas cookies after dinner?”
You didn’t see him around in the kitchen though and the twins were playing in the family room.
“Dad’s outside with Paula,” said Ryan, pointing at the front door.
“She’s probably stopping by for her check in,” you said, watching the front door open.
Something was wrong though based on both their faces when they came inside. Dean had his arms crossed and was frowning at Paula. He glanced at you and you saw him close his eyes. Paula tilted her head towards your room and your scrunched up your face.
Then you saw the empty duffel bag in her hand.
“You son of a bitch,” you said, storming over to Dean. “You-”
“Y/N,” said Paula, shoving the bag at you. “Please go pack your things.”
“Liar,” you said, Dean dropping his arms.
“I never-”
“Are the twins coming or not?” you asked Paula, getting a head shake from her. “You’re keeping them and getting rid of me. Yeah. You’re not a liar.”
“Things beyond our control are happening and this is part of that. Pack up your things,” said Paula.
“Am I coming back?” you asked. Paula looked away and you threw up your hands. “Am I ever going to see them again?”
“You’re technically a minor. It’s not-”
“So you stole my brother and sister, just like I said you would,” you said, throwing a fist at Dean. He caught it though and put his hands on your arms.
“I didn’t do this. I promise, I didn’t. I’ll get you back. I promise. I’ll figure it out,” he said.
“You’re a piece of shit,” you said, stomping on his foot.
“Y/N. That’s enough,” said Paula. “Now pack.”
“No,” said the twins, still hanging onto you tight out in the driveway half an hour later.
“I’m sorry. I’m gonna come back and get you guys as soon as I’m old enough,” you said. “It’s gonna be a little while okay?”
Paula had to help you peel them off, Dean wrapping an arm around them each to keep them from running back.
“I will be back for them. Count on it.”
Two Years Later
“Kid, the door,” said Ben when you heard it ring. “The door!”
“I’m going!” you shouted back as you left your room. You were ready to grab whatever takeout he’d ordered for himself and his friends and throw it in his face.
You were practically growling when you ripped the door open, blinking a few times at the sight in front of you.
“Happy birthday,” said Dean, his face afraid almost as he held out a card to you. You narrowed your eyes and went to slam the door in his face when two heads poked out from behind him. “Can we talk?”
“Hey guys,” you said, immediately getting tackled with hugs from the twins. “Been a while.”
“Dad wants to talk to you and please listen,” said Ryan.
“Yeah, please. Dad wants you to come home and so do we,” she said.
“Alright guys. Can you wait in the car for me? Whatever happens, you guys can hang out with Y/N after I’m done, okay?” he said.
They nodded and went back to the car as you stepped outside. Dean took a seat on the front step and you did the same, Dean glancing back behind himself.
“This place is kind of a shithole,” he said.
“I’ve noticed,” you said, Dean holding out the card again. “You realize I fucking hate you, right?”
“I understand,” he said softly. “I never stopped loving you though.”
He let his finger graze over your wrist and tug on the bracelet you still wore there.
“Jo was pregnant,” said Dean. You took the card and set it aside, Dean tracing his finger over the bracelet. “She had me make this stupid bracelet. She read some parenting article or something, about father’s and kids. She thought it would be cute if I passed on something of mine to my first kid. But I never got to give it to them. I never even knew what it was it was so early. Only nine weeks in. I wanted a little girl so bad. I waited years to give this to my first child. I already lost the one and I lost you for two years. It hurt even worse this time when you left. I understand if you hate me and blame me and never forgive me. You have every right to think I abandoned you. But I gave this to you because you’re my daughter and the fact you kept it gives me a little bit of hope that you’ll give me another chance.”
“I’m sorry about your family,” you said, picking up the card. He was quiet as he moved his hand back to his lap. “I haven’t heard from you since that night.”
“I know. You were a minor. It wasn’t allowed,” he said, rubbing the heel of his palm.
“Why are you here, Dean?”
“You’re eighteen today. You’re legally an adult,” he said, turning his head towards you.
“And?”
“And you can choose who you want to adopt you now,” he said.
“You think I want to be adopted by you?” you scoffed. “You tell me your sob story so I’m what, more coercible?”
“I told you because you’re my child,” he said. “I want you to come home to us.”
“I don’t think that’s your-” you said before the front door opened.
“What the fuck are you doing, kid?” said Ben.
“Fuck off, Ben. Your damn pizza isn’t here,” you said, waving a hand back at him.
“Who the fuck are you? What the fuck are you doing hanging out with men half your age?” asked Ben, grabbing your arm and pulling you to your feet.
“We were just talking. I’m-” said Dean before Ben was pointing a finger in Dean’s face.
“Stay away from this little slut if you know what’s good for you,” said Ben. You winced when Ben dug in harder, Dean scoffing. “Jail bait buddy. Go find a whore at a bar.”
“Listen, buddy,” said Dean, getting in Ben’s face and giving you a front seat view. “I’d let her go if you know what’s good for you.”
“Dean, just drop it. Ben’s a dick,” you said. “He doesn’t know any better.”
“Inside,” said Ben, shoving you back through the open doorway, causing you to trip. You stood up after a second and saw Ben glare at you, Dean glaring at him with a look to kill. “If you’re gonna act like a bitch, I’ll treat you like one.”
“You’re her foster dad,” said Dean.
“She’s money every month. It don’t cost much to keep them going. Now listen. Go on down to Harry’s bar and find a slut there, okay? Pretty guy like you shouldn’t even have to pay,” said Ben.
“I’m calling Paula,” you said as you rubbed your arm, going for your room when Ben grabbed the back of your shirt collar. He moved to slam the front door in Dean’s face but Dean caught it and pushed it back open. He shoved Ben away hard and stood in front of you.
“That’s my daughter, fuckface,” said Dean as he took your hand. “We’ll come back for your stuff later.”
“That’s called kidnapping,” said Ben as he got closer.
“She is eighteen. Today’s her birthday since you obviously don’t know that. She can choose to go wherever she wants to now,” said Dean, glancing back at you. “I’m really assuming you don’t want to stay-”
You saw Ben go for a cheap shot when Dean wasn’t looking and you pushed him out of the way.
Unfortunately with the way Dean was holding your hand, he pulled you with him and the next thing you knew, your face hurt and you fell back on the ground. You didn’t feel your head smack the tile floor and realized there was something kind of soft under it, Dean’s leg if you had to guess.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!” asked Dean to Ben as you sat up, Dean’s hands on your arms.
“My head hurts,” you said.
“You probably have a concussion,” said Dean. “Call the cops now, asshole.”
“I ain’t calling-” said Ben as Dean grumbled and pulled his phone out of his pocket. “Hey!”
“Buddy, she gets hurt, the cops are gonna be the least of your fucking problems.”
“Mild concussion,” said the doctor at the hospital an hour later. “We’ll keep her a few hours to monitor. You know the drill.”
“Yes, I do,” said Dean with a sigh. “Thanks, Cas.”
“I’ll get you guys some extra ice cream,” he said with a wink. “I wish it was under better circumstances but it’s good to see you again, Y/N.”
“Yeah,” you said, Cas leaving the room after a beat. You sighed and Dean took a seat on the edge of the bed, pushing up your sleeve to reveal the bruise Ben had left.
“How long you been at Ben’s?” he asked.
“I went to a temporary place for a few weeks before I bounced around a lot. Only been a month,” you said, rubbing your arm. He lowered his head, raising it when Paula knocked and came inside.
“You said she was someplace safe,” said Dean.
“This is the first incident I’m aware of,” she said. “An incident you started by going to a foster child’s home.”
“She’s a fucking adult. She can have visitors,” he said. “I only went to talk to her.”
“About?” she asked.
“About adopting her,” he said. “No more of this. No more games. No more sack of shit in prison ruining her life. She is eighteen. I’ve been waiting for today for two years.”
“What are you talking about?” you said as you sat up.
“Your father-” said Dean.
“I don’t have a father,” you said.
“Your father’s hold over his parental rights was...complicated,” said Paula. “It was part of a deal he worked out to avoid a full blown murder charge. Part of that was he retained parental rights and that you were to be moved from foster homes every few months. I didn’t support it at all and tried to push back but he had information on other murder cases that was helpful so they were lenient with him.”
“The lawyers picked the cases over you. The moving around we guess was so that you’d be bitter and maybe reach other to your father. He claims now it was good when it was just you two. He only ever wanted to get rid of your mother and the twins apparently,” said Dean.
“Please leave. Both of you,” you said.
“I can’t,” said Dean. “I have to watch you. Concussion.”
“Whatever,” you said, turning on your side and staring at the wall. Paula left after a moment and you felt the bed dip some, Dean’s hand resting gently on your back.
“...His lawyer threatened to split up Rae and Ryan if we ever told you,” said Dean.
“You adopted them, right?” you asked.
“Yeah. No one can take them away now,” he said and you nodded. “I wanted to tell you, sweetheart. Everyday I wanted to.”
You didn’t say anything, Dean pushing a strand of hair behind your ear.
“If you don’t want me anymore, I understand. But you can always see Rae and Ryan whenever you want. I will always come pick you up or you can go do things with them or you can stay with us. I don’t care if you never speak to me again. You can stay home, always,” he said.
“Stop talking, Dean,” you said.
He was silent after that, occasionally rubbing his hand up and down your back. You leaned into the touch and sighed.
“You still could have told me,” you said after a few minutes.
“I could have. Rae and Ryan’s adoption was dragged out until about last month. It was an incentive so we wouldn’t say anything,” said Dean.
“So my dad once again ruined my life so I would feel shitty enough to go see him and maybe have a relationship again. I hope someone kills him in there. I really hope someone does,” you said.
“He keeps hurting you. I don’t blame you for being angry,” said Dean, swallowing hard. “You eating enough? Getting enough sleep?”
“I guess,” you said quietly.
“How’s school?” he asked.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you said.
“Paula said you’re getting bullied.”
“My whole life I get bullied, why should school be any different?” you said.
“We can fix that. We can fix all of it,” he said.
“I knew you for three months, if that,” you said. “I’m not the same person and neither are you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad the twins have you. They’ll have a normal life. They were so little when they went to your house, they’ll never remember anything besides you. They’ll just remember a nice dad. But they’re too normal now and I’m too fucked up. I’m better off on my own, Dean.”
“I’m okay with starting over again,” he said. “I’ll start over as many times as we need to.”
You rolled to your back and looked up at him, Dean giving you a half-smile.
“I promised you that you’re always part of this family and I meant it,” he said. You sat up and stared at him, tears welling in your eyes. You glanced down at your bracelet and rubbed it, looking back at him. You gave him a small nod and he pulled you into a hug.
You buried your face in his neck, Dean shushing you as you got his shirt wet.
“S’okay. You’ll be okay now, sweetheart. I promise.”

Richie x Reader. Part 2
Tumblr media
Part 1
Part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6
The boys stood on the ledge looking down at the water, I pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it aside. As I was unbuttoning my shorts the boys turned around, I turned around to seeing Beverly slipping out of her dress. She smiled running passed us jumping off the cliff, I kicked my shorts to the side and jumped off landing next to her in the water with a splash. The boys jumped next and they began splashing around, Beverly and Bill were swimming next to each other smiling. "Hey Tozier take a picture it lasts longer" I said laughing. Richie's eyes were practically glued to my chest, I was at that age where I was starting to develop larger breasts and my curves were more prominent.
Richie blushed pushing his glasses back up his nose "for your information i wasn't looking at you i was looking at the tree and you got in my way" I splashed him and laughed "you liar you were totally checking me out!" He gasped and splashed me back and we both laughed. After we swam around for a bit we sat on the shore to dry off Bev was laying out in the sun and the boys eyes were glued to her. Richie and I decided to go back up to the cliff and grab everyones clothes, "you really think you can beat Bowers?" He looked at me quizzically. I shrugged "I dont seen why I couldn't I'm pretty tough" I grabbed my shorts sliding them on "here" Richie handed me my shirt after he shook the dirt off of it. I smiled sliding it on , I grabbed Beverly's dress and Stan and Eddie's things stuffing them in my bag. Richie grabbed Bill and Ben's clothes stuffing them in my back and threw it over his shoulder.
"Ready?" I asked looking t Richie who nodded, we began walking back to the rest when Richie tripped. I reached forward to grab him but I was too late, he hit the ground pretty hard "fuckin bitch" he rolled onto his but and looked at his already swollen ankle. I knelt in front of him and chewed my cheek "looks like just a sprain. Here I'll give you a piggyback ride" I grabbed his hand helping him to his feet. He jumped on one foot hopping onto my back, I grabbed his legs and adjusted him so it was comfortable to carry him.
"Am I heavy?" He wrapped his arms around my neck gently and leaned his head on my shoulder. "No not really. And its downhill so it's not a tough walk" I felt him nod and he sighed. "You know.... you're pretty short." I turned my head to look at him and smiled. "Just wait I'll be taller than you in a year or so." I rolled my eyes and he scoffed. "You might is you ever hit puberty. I think Eddie my be taller than you" I said laughing. He playfully smacked my cheek "just wait" we both laughed again.
We heard a car speeding towards us I turned seeing Heny and his gang barreling towards us in Belches car. They slid to a stop in front of us blocking our path and Henry jumped out followed by Vic and Belch. I gently set Richie down and he leaned against the tree behind me, "what to you want?" I stepped closer to the three glaring. "Well we thought we'd pay you a visit" Henry stepped closer until we were inches from each other. "Pay me a visit and what?" I curled my hand into a fist ready for a fight. "You should be hanging out with people your own age. They wont be able to give you what I can" Henry winked at me. "Henry please, you think you're so much better than them. I would never willingly hang out with you and dont act like I'm sooo much older than them. They're only 2 years younger than me." I glared at him in discust.
"Well we can't have you running around with these losers thinking you're better than us so we decided that we should teach you a lesson." Henry shoved me catching me off gaurd, I caught myself from falling on the ground and shoved him back. "Screw off Bowers" he regained himself and started walking towards me so I threw a punch trying not to use my full strength. He fall back and blood dripped from his nose Belch and Vic helped him to his feet and he spit towards me "you Bitch!" His nose was bleeding and his upper lip was swollen and cut. I looked at my knuckle which was cut and bleeding "just leave Henry...." I looked back at him my eyes glowing yellow withing a few seconds they were speeding away back towards town.
"Jesus fuck" I turned around looking at Richie who looked like he had seen a ghost. "What...." I wiped my bleeding hand on my shorts and walked over to Richie. "You just punched Henry fucking Bowers" he jumped back onto my back and I laughed. "Its not that big of a deal" we continued walking back down to the rest of the group laughing about Bowers.
"Wha-what took you so lo-long" Bill stood up walking over to us, Richie slid off my back and dropped the bag. "Get this Bowers came and Y/n punched him and knocked him on his ass." The guys looked at me with wide eyes I smiled grabbing my bag pulling their clothes and shoes out "hey I gotta go back home.... shift change" I zipped my bag back up and smiled "careful with that ankle Richie" I winked at the group then walked back to my bike heading home.
When I got home I seen an ambulance and cop cars outside. I threw my bike down on the lawn and ran inside, they were covering my mom with a white blanket. "Woah woah slow down" Sheriff Bowers grabbed me stopping me, "GET OFF OF ME" I shove him away from me and pushed the Emt away pulling the blanket off my mom. Her eyes were closed and I couldn't hear her heart beating or her breathing, my vision because blurry as the tears pour from my eyes as I hugged her. Sheriff Bowers pulled me away from the gurneys and they replaced the blanket and pulled her out of the house. "She's gone honey" his words echoed in my mind as i fell to the ground sobbing, I felt warm like my body was on fire.
"I need to get out" I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder and took off running. I ran to the barrens, I found the drain pipe and ran inside "Daddy!" I cried out for him over and over. I felt arms wrap around me and a familiar warmth "what's wrong baby" he rubbed circles on my back as I cried, "its momma... she's gone" I cried for a while before I eventually cried myself to sleep.
I woke up in my bed with the sound of someone banging on my door, I walked down stairs and opened the door seeing Richie. "Wow you look like shit." I fake smiled and rubbed my face, "Bill's going to the Niebolt house to fight some ancient creature that's killing kids we need your help" he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my house. I pulled the door shut behind me and grabbed my bike riding after him.
We caught up with the rest of the of the losers as Bill was walking up the stairs, "Bill you can't go in there this is crazy" Beverly yelled to Bill stopping him as he walked up the stairs. "Look you don't have to come in with me. But what happens when another Georgie goes missing or another Betty or another Ed Corcoran... or one of us? Are you just going to pretend it didnt happen like everyone else in this town? Because I can't. I go home and all I see is that Georgie isn't there. His clothes, his toys, his stupid stuffed animals, but he isn't. So walking into this house, for me... Is easier than walking into my own." Bill turned and walked up the rest of the stairs.
"Wow. He didnt stutter once" Richie began walking up the stair with me on his heels. The door creaked open and there was dust lingering in the air, Richie found a poster and started freaking out but Bill told him it was just playing tricks on him. We walked up the stairs and down the hall following the sound of a girl crying for help. At the end of the hall was and open door, there was a girl laying on her stomach looking down the hall at us. "Betty" "Ripsom" Bill and Richie said when they seen the girl I gasped recognizing her. She screamed and was pulled into the room out of view, I jumped grabbing Richie's arm. He looked at me then grabbed my hand holding it tightly as we walked into the room.
The door shut behind us causing us all to jump Bill and I both tried getting the door open. "Bill wheres Richie?" We stopped and turned around looking around the room. I followed Bill deeper into the room "Richie?" Bill started walking towards the door but the door slammed violently. "Richie!" I pounded on the door with all of my strength trying to break it down but nothing worked.
I heard Richie scream "Bill NOW!" Bill and i both slammed into the door causing it to fly open. I thought I saw my dad bit Bill grabbed Richie and closed the door before I could react. "C'mon we gotta get out of here." We turned to leave but our attention was caught by Eddie's head popping out of the mattress "hey guys wanna play loogie" I stepped backwards as blood began pouring from his mouth as he laughed and gurgled.
We turned around and seen three doors 'not scary', 'scary', 'very scary' I looked at Bill and Richie my brows furrowed in fear. Bill opened the not scary door and I heard a whisper "wheres my shoe" I reached forward turning on the light swing a girl with no legs hanging. I screamed and turned around "it's not real none of it is real." We counted to 3 and opened the door running down the stairs to find Eddie.

Two Months IV
Pairing: Prince!Ben Solo x Reader Warnings: Angst and cursing Summary: Ben Solo has two months to marry before being put in an arranged marriage. In a fit of rage he runs away and stumbles into The Cantina Diner where he meets a beautiful waitress. A/N: oops
Prologue/Chapter I/Chapter II/Chapter III
You and Ben had been hanging out everyday for a week now. At the moment the two of you were sitting on your couch watching whatever came up on the tv and cuddling.
Eventually the news came on.
“We have an update on the whereabouts of Prince Benjamin Organa-Solo.”
Ben stiffened and hoped you didn’t notice, you didn’t.
“It seems as if the Prince is either in the town Varykino or in the area of Paonga. The palace is still looking for him so if anyone has any leads please make sure to call the police as this is a very important manhunt. Goodnight.”
“Can I ask you something Y/N?” said Ben, muting the tv.
“What’s up?”
“Why do you hate the Prince so much?”
“Everything we know about him says he isn’t prepared to rule. He’s self centered. The only things he knows how to focus on, besides himself, are women and training. He clearly comes from a loving family considering how the King and Queen rule and treat their subjects so I just don’t understand why he would act like that. I mean sure his dad was just a roughed up drag racer, but that doesn’t give him the excuse to act like that.”
“Maybe that’s not really who he is, there’s probably more to him that just that. And maybe him running away was justified. Not everyone is fit to rule. And also who knows if the King and Queen are truly good parents, just because they can rule doesn’t mean they can parent.”
You shook your head and smiled.
“If you care about the Prince so much maybe you should go on the manhunt to find him.” you said.
“I wouldn’t go that far.”
“It’s kinda crazy to think that a royal could be in Varykino though. Maybe I’ve seen Prince Benjamin already and I don’t even know about it.”
“You have no idea.” thought Ben.
As Hux sat in his hotel room his stomach grumbled. The only thing he could think about was the waffles from The Cantina Diner. Sure he had been trying to be sneaky in order to not bump into his ex, but those waffles really were to die for.
Slowly he walked down Main Street and entered the diner.
Hearing the door ring Maz looked up from her paperwork. In strode someone she would never imagine seeing again.
“Hux? What’re are you doing here?” she asked eyes narrowed. She not only wanted to look out for you, but for Ben too.
“I’m in town on business and as much as I dislike the kitsch of your restaurant I do love your waffles. I found myself craving some earlier today.”
Maz prayed that Ben wouldn’t come to the Cantina today.
Stretching your neck you walked over to the nearest customer, but just as your eyes landed on him you silently gasped.
“Hux? What are you doing here?”
“Well I was trying to order waffles but it seems as if my waitress is a lot more interested in my personal life.”
“Oh shove it ginger.”
“Such language.”
“Poe! Will you take this table for me I need to use the bathroom!” you said, turning to leave Hux. You were stopped however by a cold hand encircling your wrist.
“On the contrary, I want you to be my waitress. Not some dandy who thinks he knows everything.”
Snatching your wrist back you gasped.
“Don’t you dare talk about Poe like that.”
“Yeah!” shouted Poe from a few feet away. “My boyfriend is the only one allowed to talk to me like that!”
Although Hux had spent the better half of his “mission” trying to avoid you, now he had almost forgotten why he left you. You were beautiful, you had a fire behind you, one that got stronger when you got mad. Dare he say it but, Hux missed you?
“I’m only gonna be your waitress so I can have the pleasure of spitting in your waffles.” you said walking away haughtily.
You were an asshole when needed, but you weren’t that much of an asshole. As much as you wanted to spit in Hux’s food, you buried the hatchet and decided to let him eat in peace.
As you walked over to Hux’s table and put the waffles down before you could leave there was Hux’s hand around your wrist again.
“Join me?”
“What the fuck is up with guys wanting me to join them for food?” you thought.
“If you haven’t noticed I’m currently working so as much as I would love to be graced with your presence I can’t.”
With that you curtsied and left.
Eventually you came back with the check for Hux but before you could leave once again he grabbed your wrist.
“I know I’m being forceful but I’d really like to sit down with you, catch up, fix things between us.”
“Okay. No funny stuff okay?”
“Promise.” said Hux giving you a smile that made your skin crawl a little.
Walking home your felt your phone start to buzz, the caller ID stating it was Ben.
“What’s up?”
“I just wanted to know if you wanted to see a movie or something tonight.”
“Um, I can’t. I’m busy tonight.”
“You’re not going out with another man.” said Ben, his tone joking.
“Not exactly…”
“What?”
“My ex came into the Cantina. He wants to meet up and fix things between us. Nothing more. I have zero feelings for him.”
“You better. Don’t want my girl being stolen from me.”
Your heart flipped at what he said. Were you really his girl? The two of you had been hanging out consistently for three weeks now but never spoke about what your relationship exactly was. Was it even a relationship?
“Be safe okay? We’ll talk later.”
“Okay! L–” you stopped yourself. Did you actually love Ben? No. It was too soon. “Let’s talk afterwards.”
When you got home you sat down on your bed and put your head in your hands. Your mind was racing. What did Hux want to talk about? Did that slime bag still care about you? What was your status with Ben?
Your thoughts were interrupted when a knock at the door came.
“Y/N open up! It’s your best friend in the world!” came Poe’s voice.
Rolling your eyes you opened the door. Before you stood Poe with BB.
“Come in. You can’t stay really long though cause I’m going out later.”
“Ben?”
“No.”
“You already cheating on him?”
“Oh shut up.” you said, bending down to pick up the spaniel. “You love me don’t you BB? You’d never judge me.”
BB responded by giving you a single bark.
“He’s my child, of course he’d judge you. Whatcha up to then if you’re not cheating on him?”
“Hux wanted to catch up.”
“Y/N…”
“I’m not going to get back together with him. He’s the worst. He just wants to catch up and bury the hatchet. Besides, I’m with Ben.”
“Are you really though?”
“I don’t know. I want to.”
“How long have you known him for?”
“Three weeks or so.”
“And how much do you know about him?”
“I know enough.”
“What’s his last name?”
You went silent. Did you really know Ben? You knew information about him, but everything you told him lacked details. He told you about his parents, but never gave their names. He told you about his childhood, but never told you where he grew up.
“Do you even know where he’s from?” asked Poe, stirring you from your thoughts. “Word has been getting around. Nobody really knows him. What does he even do for a living?”
“I… don’t know.” you said, hanging your head.
“I don’t know if this is the right thing for you Y/N. You barely know him. He could be dangerous! He could be on the run from the cops!” said Poe, rubbing your back.
You shoved him off of you.
“You do not get to make these decisions for me. I care about him and he cares about me, I think.”
“You don’t even know if he cares about you?!”
“We haven’t defined anything okay!?”
“Y/N me and the rest of the gang care about you. We just want to make sure you’re safe and doing the right thing. Okay? I spoke to Maz and–”
“Oh so now Maz gets a say on my personal life?”
“She’s not so sure you should be with Ben. She thinks it could hurt you.”
“Poe. Leave. Now.”
“Y/N we care about you.”
“Just go. You guys clearly don’t care about what I want.”
Poe sighed, grabbed BB and left. You groaned, still needing to take off your uniform. Hux would be at your apartment in ten minutes.
Releasing a big sigh you got up and got changed. A few minutes later a knock on your door came.
Opening it you were greeted by the sight of Hux. Casual was never his forte. He was wearing black slacks and a casual button down.
“Ready?”
The two of you had spent the night at Fett and Son’s just catching up on each other’s life.
“What went wrong Y/N? We were so good together.” asked Hux.
“You chose your job over me! You tossed me aside like I meant nothing to you. I loved you Armitage.”
Hux’s heart melted a little hearing you call him by his first name.
“I needed to avoid you. That job was important to me. You knew that I wanted to be consort more than anything.” At this point Hux reached across the table to grab your hands. “I needed to save up money. I was going to ask you to marry me.”
Walking into Fett and Son’s, Ben sat down at the bar and order himself a cocktail, something called Blue Milk. Whatever it was it was strong. Sure your relationship, could he call it a relationship?, with him was really new, but he really liked you. Hearing that you were seeing an ex tonight made him realize how much he love- no, too soon for love.
“Take me back Y/N.” said Hux. “I love you.”
Swiveling around in his seat a head of orange hair caught Ben’s eye. Looking further he realized that he was holding hands with a woman. Upon further inspection he saw those hands belonged to you.
Ben saw red.

It’s Strange - Chapter 11
Previous Chapters: Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four, Chapter Five, Chapter Six, Chapter Seven, Chapter Eight, Chapter Nine, Chapter Ten
~
August 5th, 1986
Both Steve, Johnathan, Nancy, and Emma head down to the quarry located in Derry, which was about a 15 or so minute drive away from where they were
It was a hot day outside, and they had hung out for the first time in two weeks
The four of them splashed around, Nancy occasional hopping on Johnathan’s back
Steve would throw the bigger splashes over in Emma’s direction, and more than once too. But she would often create a tsunami wave with her mind, with Nancy and Johnathan laughing every time she did that to him
He figured this would be another way of getting her attention, but tried not to be too mean, Steve did not want to mess with Eleven’s sister.
“In order to get the attention, you’re supposed to be annoying as fuck, slightly mean, and play jokes if you can. Kind of like how I am with Eddie’s sister.” he remembers Richie telling him a while back
Bitch, Emma is related to Eleven, Ella is not! Ella is not going to shove you in the bushes with her mind when you try to sneak up on her.Steve thought while looking back on what Richie had said
Steve had attempted to sneak up on Emma many times before, only to have an invisible force shove him into the bushes
Steve, Nancy, Johnathan, and Emma were the only ones at the quarry, which meant they could splash around in the waters and be the crazy 18 year olds they were.
After they had gotten tired of splashing and swimming for about 45 minutes or more, they had went to the top of the cliff where they had sunbathed in the cloudy weather above them
It was about 20 minutes later the quarry started to fill up with groups of junior high kids and grade 11′s making a huge racket, they four of them were glad they left while they could
“Jeez, I’m glad we are not stupid like those grade 11′s anymore.” said Steve
“Not anymore.” Johnathan smirked, “I’m glad we’re spending time together now, because we will only probably be able to hang once every month or so with college coming up, aside from me and Nancy of course.”
“Yeah.” said Steve
“Didn’t get accepted into NYC,” Johnathan sighed, “Maybe another time though. So I’ll be going to Husson with Nancy.”
“Wait, what was that?” Steve asked
“Bloody hell those kids down there are making such a racket!” Emma sat up
“Oh my god Emma, don’t even think about it.” said Nancy
Emma smirked, and Nancy knew what was coming
The four of them had watched as the water came towards the loud kids like a tsunami, all of them screeching, while Emma smirked and the other three widened their eyes.
The kids down below had ran away, grabbing their stuff, some even driving off in their cars. It hit some people, and made their belongings wet
“Fucking hell!!!”
“What the fuck was that?”
“My sunbathing makeup is ruined!!!”
The four of them had snickered, and laid back while watching the teenagers run away and cuss out in frustration
“Thanks, Ems.” Steve said, “What were you saying, Johnathan?”
The four of them went back to Johnathan’s house afterwards, and when they pulled up to the driveway, Joyce was standing there, waiting for them, and waving her arms frantically
“Mom? What’s wrong?” Johnathan asked
“Hopper was just on the phone.” said Joyce, frantically, “He needs you guys to come down to the office!!”
“Shit.” they muttered
“I’m coming with you,” said Joyce, “Nancy and Emma, make room for me in the back please!!”
“Sure..”
When the five of them had gotten there, they were all sat down, in awkward silence
“Mrs. Byers? Do you know what’s going on?” Steve asked
“I don’t know.” Joyce sighed, “He just said for you guys to come down, and I am here with you.”
The four of them didn’t know what to do or say, and they didn’t know whether or not they were in trouble
After about 20 minutes of them waiting, Hopper had finally come into the waiting room calling them in. When they had went inside, another officer was in there.
“Are they going to be okay??” Joyce asked
“Yes Joyce, I promise you.” said Hopper, “Just want to ask them a few questions. Right, me and my other officer from Derry have done an investigation on the clothes you found behind Hawkins High, along with the suspicious girls you had seen.”
“And? What happened?” said Johnathan
“And, the DNA test connected to be have been murdered and missing kids from two summers ago,” said the Derry officer, “They were of Patrick Hockstetter, found in the Barrens, Reginald Huggins and Victor Criss, both found dead in a car, along with Henry Bowers, who is believed to have been abducted, body never found. Oscar Butch, a cop in Derry was found stabbed in his home. We feel like the fugitive may have had those boys as victims, and kept them before killing them.”
The four of them knew the girls they had encountered had similar names to who they listed, and knew this was all nonsense what they were hearing
“It’s bullshit!” said Nancy, “That is not who the ‘girls’ we had seen claimed to be, and they had similar names! I believe they are still out there, and your theory is wrong. Dead wrong!”
“Yeah, besides, how come you’re only getting back to us just now?!” Johnathan said angrily
“I’m sorry, but it’s too late. The murders go far back.” said the Derry officer
The four of them were angry on what the officer had said, and didn’t believe a single word they said. They were glowering in the car the whole way back
“It’s okay guys, I’m sure they will figure something out. Just don’t put yourselves in any danger.” said Joyce, trying to comfort the four
“What the hell is wrong with the Derry-Hawkins police? Are they just going to pretend nothing in these towns has ever happened?! They’re not even going to try to solve it! Just ignore it all!” Johnathan slammed his hand on the wheel

August 21st, 1986
Both Mike (Wheeler) and Bill’s group have gotten together again, which will be one of the last times they can all get together before they were to all start high school.
They had all went to see Stand By Me, the film did remind them of themselves together as a whole
Afterwards they had spent a portion of the evening in the arcade, Max beating Dustin, Bill and Richie every time
The other half of the kids were playing different games, however, Ben, Bev, Ella, and Eleven were not the games like everyone else, and sat down together after about five or so minutes of playing
Ben had looked down at his postcard, and looking over at Bev when she went over to get something at the canteen
“What’s that?” Eleven had asked him
“Oh, it’s nothing.” Ben laughed nervously
Eleven stared at the card, making it float out of his hands, as her and Ella began to read it
Your hair looks nice that way, and your eyes are beautiful. - Secret admirer
Ben looked embarrassed, and Eleven smirked
The two of them looked at Ben
“You guys weren’t supposed to see that.” Ben scratched his head, “It’s only a compliment.”
“It’s fine,” says Ella, “I can tell her it was from me if you want.”
“You can say we both wrote it!” said Ben
“Yeah, good idea!”
“It’s okay.” said Eleven, “Me and El won’t tell Mike, Bill, or any of the others.”
“Thanks guys.” he smiled while the three of them slurped on their milkshakes awkwardly
Meanwhile, Beverly had gotten a strawberry milkshake from the canteen, and laid it on their table while she went to the restroom
While she was in there, suprisingly no one was in there
Beverly was in the mood for a smoke, but didn’t want to get kicked out if she smoked in there
She sat in there for a few moments, thinking about nothing at all
While in the stall, she thought she could hear faint tapping sound coming from somewhere in the bathroom. She had looked down, and let out a yelp when she thought she saw shoes from outside the bathroom stall
But when she opened, nobody was there.
She let out a sigh of relief, then went to wash her hands at the sink.
Bev had noticed a pair of polished shoes in one of the closed stalls in the reflection of the mirror, though she didn’t hear anyone else come in.
That’s weird, she thought
She had splashed water on her face, and after she wiped the water off with a paper towel, jumped in horror when she looked in the mirror
Behind her, in one of the closed bathroom stalls, a tall man could be seen at the top of the stall, leering over at her.
The face could not be seen clearly, and she did not dare to turn around. Though she saw the expression on the man’s face looked like he was grinning
She screamed and ran out, and told the persons there working up front
“We saw you run out, everything okay?” Ben asked, while the two Els comforted her

August 30th, 1986
Bev had invited Ella over for a sleepover that night, as she asked a few days ago
El was just finished packing a few things, and was about to head down the stairs until Eddie stopped her
“Where do you think you’re going?” he said from behind
She turned around
“As I told you earlier, I’m going to Bev’s tonight.” El responded
“Are you kidding me, it’s 5:00!” said Eddie, “I don’t want anything bad to happen to my younger sister, you’d better not be walking there alone -”
“Oh my god, Eddie,” Ella huffed, “It’s not even dark out yet! Ever since you saw that thing or whatever on the 4th of July, you’ve become a lot like mom.”
Eddie gulped, not wanting to think about it
“Look, I’m older than you, I know what’s best.” he whispered
“Ever since we stopped being the same height - ever since you grew three inches you feel the need to point that out, but you’re only older by three minutes! And let go of my wrist.” Ella tugged away, and continued down the stairs
Eddie huffed in frustration, then followed behind, but went into the kitchen
Ella was about to head out the door, until her mom called out to her
“Oh Ellie bear, I think you’re forgetting something.” said Sonia
She huffed, and gave her mom a goodbye kiss, their mom still expected them out of her and Eddie, regardless that they would be fifteen in October.
She also didn’t like being called Ellie, she didn’t know why herself, but Ella just didn’t like it, she much preferred El.
As soon as she opened the door, Richie was just heading up their front door
“Hey.” said Richie
“Hi.” Ella responded, trying not to look him in the eye
El didn’t know why she felt the urge to not look, Richie was always at the house. Always. Between four and six times a week. She figured it was just apart of her introverted personality.
She couldn’t really understand Richie out of rest of the losers, 98% of the time Richie was his cocky and obnoxious self, but every once in a blue moon would turn the complete opposite. This was one of those times.
“Hey, you good?” Richie asked, interrupting her thoughts
“Yeah.”
“Is Eds upstairs or?”
“Bathroom. I mean…kitchen! I gotta go.” Ella said as she made a beeline towards the street
Shit shit shit shit, I totally embarrassed myself! Why the hell did I say that? Ella kept thinking
El didn’t know why she was shaking on the inside, or why her heart was racing quickly. This was a first, and hoped it wasn’t an anxiety attack. She didn’t know what she felt, and just brushed it off
(two hours later)
Beverly and El walked to Keene’s Pharmacy, which was about a 15 minute walk from Bev and her aunt’s apartment.
The two of them looked for junk food to snack on in Bev’s aunt Tina’s cupboards, but were low on snacks.
They had dropped into Keene’s to grab some nail polish, lip gloss, a giant bag of chips, and some flavoured water for the night.
While they were browsing, Bev remembered something.
“Hey, Ella, you don’t need to sleep on the floors tonight, it’s a bit uncomfortable.”
“Uh, okay.” Ella responded
“We can sleep in the same bed, if you want.” Bev smirked
“Defintley. What’s wrong with the floors though, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Nothing, I just prefer we do, wouldn’t you?” said Bev
“Yeah, this wouldn’t be the first time we did.” Ella smirked back
“We are best friends,” said Beverly, “You can sleep in my bed anytime.”
They both chuckled
“I fucking knew it.|
“Did you hear that?” said Beverly
The two of them heard a voice, or thought they did, but couldn’t tell if it was a male or female voice.
They looked around, and the two of them the only ones in the pharmacy, besides Mr. Keene himself
When they observed more closely, when they heard the whisper, they were not close to any windows, but were right next to an “Employees Only” door.
They had thought nothing of it, and Bev insist they continue to look for their items.
Later on that night, both Bev and El laid awake in bed, Beverly tossing and turning, and Ella occasionally looking up at the ceiling
It was now close to 12 am, and Bev still couldn’t get comfortable
“Bev, everything okay?” Ella asked
“Yeah, I just have trouble sleeping.” Beverly responded
However, Beverly still couldn’t get a wink or comfortable, and El knew something was wrong, as this was not like her.
“Anything bothering you?” El asked
“Yes.” Bev responded right away, “There was a reason I wanted you to sleep in the same bed as me. To help keep me comfortable. Remember when we were at the arcade with the losers and Mike and them last week?”
“Yeah.”
“When I came out of the bathroom, telling the people who worked there on what I saw, and began shaking with I came over with you, Ben, and Eleven - I said I saw a giant spider, but that wasn’t it.”
“What did you see?” Ella asked, intrigued
“I saw a man in the bathroom stall,” Bev said, now shaking, “But not just any man, I saw my dad. At the same time, he wasn’t really there. I guess it was just stress from abuse I received from him before I killed him in self-defence, but I know what I saw. I didn’t sleep at all that night.”
Ella knew what Bev told her before about Al, and hugged Beverly in comfort.
Bev didn’t cry though, she had no reason to. But just thinking back on the emotional, physical, and sexual abuse she received from her father, made her shake. And the one face she didn’t want to see ever again, Al Marsh, was in the bathroom with her. At the same time, he wasn’t, because it had been two years since he passed.
“Shit.” Beverly muttered, she was now calming down a bit.
“What?”
“Have you seen anything, El?”
“See what?”
“I don’t know, an omen, or anything out of the ordinary recently?”
“Not yet,” said Ella, “Though ever since Eddie saw something he’s become a lot like our mom, way too overprotective for a brother that’s only three minutes older.”
Beverly laughed
“I hope you don’t see anything either,” said Beverly, “It’s just a creepy feeling. Not a good feeling. Though whatever It is seems to be targeting us one by one, when we all least expect it. I remember Lucas and Max said they saw something. And so did Ben, Bill, and Eddie of course. As for the others, I’m not sure who else saw. I don’t think Eleven did, and I’m not sure about Stan.”
“I hope we’re not next.” Ella whispered
“Me neither.” Bev chuckled
After their late night conversation, Beverly and Ella finally laid back down, able to fall asleep in peace

September 3rd, 1986
First day of grade 10, and Mike, Will, Dustin, and Lucas park their bicycles on the rack by Hawkins High school.
“What classes does everyone have?” Mike asked, “I got advanced math at 9, chemistry at 10, AV tech at 11, english at 1, and bio at 2.”
“Holy shit, you’re doing hard courses!” said Dustin, “I got English at 9, drama at 10, math at 11, phys ed at 1, and bio at 2.”
“Let’s see,” said Lucas, “Advanced math at 9, chemistry at 10, AV tech at 11, English at 1, and phys ed at 2.”
“Aw, how come you get to have phys ed last period and not us?” Dustin groaned
“What about you, Will?” Mike asked
“Bio at 9, math at 10, AV tech at 11, english at 1, and phys ed at 2.” said Will
All of them were nervous, the kids looked so much older than them, even the ones in their grade.
They were also glad they were in some of the same classes, all of them in AV tech together, so they were glad about that.
At least they had each other to keep themselves company. They looked at their schedules, wondering where their classes would be.
“Hey dweebs, we ride cars here, not bikes.” said a grade 12, aka senior, along with two other guys snickering behind him
“Yeah frogface, toothless, midnight, and zombie boy,” Troy slyly walked out from behind them, along with James by his side, being his usual laughing stock.
“Troy, what the hell?” said Lucas, who was shocked him and James joined this intimidating group of seniors, who looked like greasers.
“Okay frogface, first of all, do not what the hell me,” Troy sneered, “Second of all, this is high school, and you punks better not mess with the seniors, which will be the rulers of initiation. But none of you will be there, because you’re all useless and losers.”
“Just leave us alone -” said Mike
“No, frogface, you leave us alone, I hear your frogfaced brother and his loser friends are the laughing stocks of Derry, kinda like you guys are of Hawkins High. Face it, you, your brother, and all of your other losers friends are trying way too hard.” Troy rambled, “And don’t get your silly girlfriend or her slut of a sister after us. I bet that slag and your sister are up to naughty business, if you know what I mean.”
Mike was resisting the urge to punch him directly in the face, and the rest of the losers didn’t know what to say, and how did he even know about Richie, Bill, and the others? Small town, probably
“Oh my god, they have superpowers? Wooooow.” laughed a grade 12, “Who knew a slag and creepy little girl could have powers?”
“I remember her. That Evans freak.” a grade 12 snickered, “Along with frogface’s sister, the failed Steve Harrington, and Byers, your brother who is just as much as a freak as you are.”
“Take that back!” said Will, “All of what you said!”
But Mike and Lucas nudged him, they didn’t want to start a fight with grade 12′s on the first day of high school. It was just a no-go.
“I know they were a year older than us,” said a third grade 12, “But it was just sad to watch them. Sister frogface, that slut, failed keg king, and the boy who tried to kill his own br-”
Before will could get angrier, the grade 12 threw up midway though his sentence
Everyone who had passed by looked in disgust, and a few even laughed, including Mike and his friends.
The seniors, as well as Troy and James didn’t even bother to finish with them, as they had stumbled away with the kid who threw up.
The four of them stepped away from the vomit the guy had left behind.
Mike wasn’t sure what had happened, or if it was actually a stomach bug. He looked around, wondering if Eleven was spying on them, even though she was supposed to be homeschooled for another year.
“The expression looked too real for Eleven to have done that.” said Lucas, “Jeez, if only Max and her were here with us.”
Hopper said Eleven would be homeschooled for just one more year. Mike had suggest she come to public school with them eventually. Especially Joyce who insisted that Eleven should try regular school.
“I’ll think about it. We’ll discuss this.” Mike remembered Hopper saying, “Promise.”
~
September 15th, 1986
It was now Monday, almost two weeks since the losers had started grade 10 at Derry High. So far their experience has been satisfactory, they tended to stay within their own group, as normal. They hardly ever gotten acknowledged by anyone else, or taken seriously for that matter.
The losers all walked inside together when every one of them met by the stairs in front of the school. Well, all except for Mike (Hanlon), but he knew he’d be joining the next year for grade 11, as he had managed to convince his grandfather.
The seven of them had walked in together, dozens of people swarming the hallways.
However, they had noticed something strange. As the seven of them walked through the halls, they had gotten weird stares and occasional laughs and pointing of fingers aimed at them. Almost as if they were Derry High’s laughing stock.
“What the fuck does everyone think they’re looking at?” Richie grumbled
“Probably your ridiculous Hawaiian shirts.” said Eddie
“Probably.” Stan chuckled
Richie gave them the ‘Come on!’ look
The seven of them had taken up the entire space of the hallway when they walked, people giving them dirty looks every time, but they didn’t care. They were the losers club, after all.
Every once in a while, the group would hear “Faggots!” or “Gay!” coming from the jocks of the school, and other people, to, regardless there were two other girls in the group with them. Along with people’s noses in the air not looking at them, or the occasional chuckle.
“Just i-i-ignore them.” Bill would say after hearing a homophobic word yelled at them
They had passed by Greta and her three other minions, and she had said something to a homely looking grade 12 that made her run off and cry.
“Hey fags, hope you’re having a great year so far!” she called out
The seven of them ignored them as usual and made their way to the hallway by the library where they always hung out.
As they had sat down, they were already groaning about how much homework they already had.
“I don’t know if I can hang out at lunch on Wednesday,” Ben groans, “I got a history paper due next month.”
“O-Or w-w-we c-c-can k-keep you c-c-c-c-company.” said Bill
“Sure.”
“Fucking hell, George Washington,” said Richie, “How come you’re starting now if it’s not due until the 30th?”
“Way more productive than you, Richie,” said Stan, “I can’t believe you’re still getting kicked out of classes! This is high school, not junior high.”
Bill, Eddie, and Stan exchanged looks, and they were in a few of the same classes as him. Richie would always say something that would piss of the teacher, or disgust the entire class, resulting him in getting kicked out roughly 2-3 times every week. Which would embarrass the three of them every time.
“It’s not my fault Mrs. Morgan already hates my guts.” said Richie
“It’s more than just her,” said Eddie, “Mr. Kia also doesn’t like you, same goes for Mr. Oliver, and Mrs. Jones.”
Beverly looked at her watch, and knew her and Ella should go to their geography class.
“Me and El are going to get going,” said Beverly, “We’ll catch you guys later, okay?”
The rest of the group agreed, and planned to continue their discussion for a few more minutes before the bell rang
Ella looked behind, and gestured towards Richie indicating he was a loser
As normal, Richie gave her a look that said he was probably going to put marbles under her bed or some other joke while visiting Eddie later on
“Shut up, Ella!” Eddie called out after noticing what she did
“I didn’t say anything, Eds!” she yelled back, along with Beverly chuckling
Along with Eddie huffing, his sister just called him Eds.
“Eddie, Richie, behave yourselves.” Bill said to them
