ik ive missed a day or two lately but i feel like my life would be less eventful right now if i went to ride the cyclone fr.

I started this series because I missed Dropsbyponk and wanted to see him on such a warm and fun looking server, and wanted to see what dynamics would arise, but the Qsmp is on foolhalo life support atm and I don’t know what the future holds, what end goal should I set my daily art for?

opinion on the costumes in the show? ik they're very, VERY innacurate, but what can you say abt them? they're alright bc, whatever, it's just a show? they're terrible and they look absolutely ridiculous once you learn how different they are from real Ottoman outfits?

do you think the designs, colors, patterns and styling choices for the characters are at least good and fitting, aside from historical innaccuracy?

the notes are connected for both my main and this side-chick of a blog so i've always been online here and for a whole decade at that, always at your service as it turned out 🗿

the costumes are bANGIN' babey, it's one of these exceptions for me where the raging historical inaccuracy is welcomed. there are shows with more or less accurate costumes, besties they aint looking good. i did write a post about clothing in general before, my opinion hasn't changed, i want all these kaftans personally since im eyeing male fashion more in these series, i dont think if either show stuck to historical accuracy it would've had the visual aesthetic that it ended up with. plus i think at some point this had to serve a purpose, the less respect both series showed to history, the easier it was to swallow seeing how even visually the setting seems to be oh so far removed from real events.

So I’m sure you’ve been wondering where I’ve been for the past....million years or smthn, its important this time

I’ll be honest I’ve been partially avoiding this and partially just accidentally forgetting about it. I’ve kinda sorta figured out somethings but not really, its complicated...

For the first part: Found out I identify as non-binary (which was literally so confusing, but they/them pronouns are for me) so that's really nice to know but it came with a lot of unprecedented feelings of fear and self doubt, because I told the wrong people and they told other people before I was ready (which was a big mess). 

Being a POC and not conforming to the binary concept of gender is sometimes really looked down upon in my own community by the people around me. I was told a lot that “gender stuff” or anything that involves my mental health or the lgbtq+ community is a “white people thing” (which is what most of my interests and hobbies were chalked up to for a period of my life and I still don't understand what tf that even means. Spoiler Alert: Nothing, it means nothing, just another way to make people feel bad....also it's just historically innacurate-) and so with a history of being ostracized by lots of people and this new revelation kind of just, scared me for awhile.

I also have a tendency to overwhelm myself accidentally, so, I just shut everyone out for awhile and engulfed myself in work. All that work is just a lot of pressure and I just kinda lost myself.

I’m doing better now, I have met really good friends who I’m just desperately in love with because they’re so gentle and kind. And I've found people that look like me and go through similar things I do which has helped me flow through things. I really couldn’t have gotten through all of this without these people. And I’m sorry to keep ya’ll waiting

....I thought I’d be writing more and posting all my stuff but, since my time away from the blog I’ve been reviewing it and thinking about the 2p characters interpretations in my blog and on the whole in the fandom

My interpretations of the 2p’s are a little crack heady I will admit. But I try to make my interpretations of the characters as authentic as I can and that's just how I do, but like, sometimes I don’t really think I’m writing the 2p’s to their fullest potential. There’s so much lore and personal not rlly super fandom canon things I wanna write for the 2p’s but I want them to still stay as their own characters so I don’t. Which is fine but it sorta makes me eeeeee. I needed a break y'know?

I still wanna write, I love you guys a lot,, I love these guys a lot, I love to read other people's interpretations of them and stuff but school and life can just be overwhelming sometimes for no reason.

I think I'll update slower, in the next couple of days, take time to really flesh out my stuff and read through it and be a better writer and all that Jazz, I hope that I can still make you guys happy but I also need some tiempo

Uhhh I revamped and edited this cause I feel like I was misinterpreting the "baddie" aesthetic. And I don't ever wanna disrespect someone intentionally, I fr just think Ollie's a baddie, in his own way but I noticed, unintentionally, I was like separating "classy" and "cute" from the baddie aesthetic which is just simply innacurate. Making it seem like something wrong or rough. There's all different kinds of baddies out there, and you don't have to act a certain way to be one, as a poc myself ik that negative stereotypes like this can fr hurt people and terms like this which aren't exclusive to anyone type of person.
