CHANGE OF PLAN

After submitting my work for a competition brief for PPP3, I was advised by my tutors that perhaps considering short films would be a good idea since I had a real eye for editing. I have inserted my video for the brief above for example. Having a think about this and realising Social and PR is an industry I could actually see myself going into after a uni; I agreed that this was a good idea. Instead of creating photoshoots and a mag, I will now be creating 3 short films and three stylised photoshoots to compliment the films. I will most likely then upload these to a website and run social campaigns and perhaps consider a solely photography publication with little to no text. 

I am going to do some more research into this but a running theme that is obvious through my previous work is that I enjoy to challenge taboo’s. For example last year I was challenging the hidden language of fetishes and since have challenged female sexuality in the name of post-feminism. This is a theme I find generally exciting and rebellious and something I would like to continue with. For this reason, I will look further into challenging taboo’s women face in sports. For example, being too muscley or embarrassed to exercise. I would like to create campaigns similar to the one in my PPP3 video, #MyLiftFace, and one that springs to mind right now is #SomethingToLookAt.
