“Honeybody” by Kishi Bashi
Multi-instrumentalist artist and singer Kishi Bashi has got some plans for his “Honeybody" in his 2016 hit.
The renowned violinist toured with acts like Regina Spektor and of Montreal and is also the founding member of the band Jupiter One before releasing his debut solo album 151a in 2013. “Honeybody” appears on his 2016 album Sonderlust.
A seemingly distant orchestra swoons the ears right off the bat before a concoction of ear lifting tunes and coordinated claps bring you into their toe tapping embrace. Once the melody takes hold it transports you to a whimsical world that makes it impossible not to crack a smile.
He has since released two albums with his latest single “Laughing With” having come out this past month.
Will you be Kishi Bashi’s Honeybody? Find out by hitting play above.

Another Kishi Bashi painting for the Etsy store.
Lyrics are from “M’Lover” off of the Sonderlust album.
Two new paintings in the same week is quite rare for me, but it feels really good. 🌄

Sonderlust, Kishi Bashi's third album, the first full album I heard from him and it made me fall hard for his work.
If you now search Sonderlust on the internet, you will see it used for all kinds of commercial outfits.
I guess, like sonder, people really like the word.
