I got really inspired and motivated by @starrjoy and their sonic fancomics regularly coming out with multi-page updates so I challenged myself to color a full page within one day. It was REALLY HARD.

This is an adaptation of the origin story for Sonic and Robotnik from Fleetway's Sonic the Comic, which I always liked because of its major Angst Potential. I'll see if I get around to making more pages of my take on this concept.

Because of his unstable mental state his super form is also unstable, flickering between normal super sonic to fleetway at random so him going super is always a huge risk

I want Fleetway's Super Sonic to be lore relevant. So when I wanted to make Super Tails, I also made a Fleetway Super Tails. Maybe it'd be called Judgement. (I'm not sure yet when or if this happens in the timeline, so I drew Sonic and Tails when they were 15 and 8.)

When a user uses the Chaos Emeralds to go Super, they must be judged first. So the form they take in the meantime is a wild, chaotic, instinct driven Super form that can barely tell friend and foe.

When Tails finally gets out of his Fleetway form, Sonic asks him if he's okay or if anything hurts. The kit says that he doesn't really remember transforming- only the numbing feeling of static going through his entire body.

After the user is properly judged, they may turn into a proper Super form that they have complete control over. However, if the Emeralds ever for whatever reason view the user as no longer suited to hold them, they may be stripped of their Super form and brought back to the Fleetway form whenever they use the Emeralds until they can possibly redeem themselves.

Also, Super Tails is Blue! I have a whole list of reasons about why he's blue, but that's for another post in the future.
