Brenton Lee

Self-made celebrity artist, salon owner, and NATVA winner Brenton Lee will be mentoring lucky Future Star Category Finalists. As an educator himself, there is no doubt he will guide Future Star finalists to success.

#fbf #storytime This was June of 2017 in Orlando at @premiere_orlando. @edensassoon and @sonyadove were taking photos and talking to people and I, of course, was standing back not wanting to bother anyone. Once most of the crowd left, I walked up to them and told them I’d enjoyed their #leadingladies panel at a previous hair show and was looking forward to attending the panel in Orlando as well. I’ve always felt weird asking people to take pics with me so I just have a conversation instead. @edensassoon said “hey let’s get a picture” and took this one and put it on her instagram story. I was a little shocked and a lot excited that two of the amazing women on the #leadingladies panel took the time to have a quick conversation with me. Sometimes just that is enough to keep someone going during a tough time. That trip was rough for me for a lot of reasons. But it taught me that I can take myself where I need to be. That there is no fairy hair mother. No magic hair genie. No Hairy Poppins that’s going to hand you your career. It’s you. You get to make your career. From being real and doing good work. That’s all.
