Let’s talk about how particularly heart-wrenching this section is

“This life” assuming fame and being in the industry. It was literally Andy’s dream to be a musician from such an early age it’s what he’s worked his entire life towards. And yet what he’s experienced has made him almost,,,,, bitter towards that kid who had that dream and those kids that still have that dream.

And yet, who is it that survives until the end? Young Sweeney. The kid who had that dream. The representation of that hope.

bells hells and exploring their trauma intimately. physically. telling people what they went through without having to say it out loud. imogen wanting to bring laudna into her dream because how can she explain that? how can she explain this heart-gripping terror that freezes her every time? ashton wanting imogen and fcg to deep dive into their head because there’s something wrong, and they can’t even begin to explain how it’s wrong. everything hurts always and there’s this piece that knows there’s something else, something deeper. and how terrifying it is to explain that theres something else deeply changed with you, how your body and your mind are two different things and you’re keenly aware of it. and laudna. everyone going into her mind to save her and experiencing the things she brushed off before. she made jokes about the things people tried to kill her for. it happened 30 years ago, there’s nothing she can do about it now - but she relives it. she relives it and feels it but refuses to feel the pain because there’s nothing to be done. it’s the way of life. her trauma will always have a grip on her, and she can’t run from it. but that’s why bells hells are there, to help her escape.
