Slavoj Zizek examines famous films in a philosophical and a psychoanalytic context.

Some things he says about for example movies from Hitchcock, Lynch and Tarkovsky are easy to comprehend. But it's not easy to follow all of his observations.

I'm also not sure if all of it is meant to be taken entirely seriously, or if he always means what he says. I suspect he sometimes deliberately adds a provocative element to his statements (similar to the doc's title).

But overall it's a very entertaining tour de force. Hearing about the significance of cleaning a bathroom, and drawing attention to phallus insignia.

Two of Benedict's projects will have their premiere at film festivals this year.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar will premiere at the Venice Film Festival this year. It's 40 mins long and out of competition. "It's a small masterpiece. Wes Anderson in [his] purest state." No actors are confirmed to attend due to the on-going strike.

The End We Start From will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this year. Benedict has a supporting role and is a producer, along with his wife, Sophie Hunter.
