Sorry about low activity and no art in weeks ´v`' I'm still here, just dealing with some health issues that are draining all of my energy.

You may remember that I started adhd medication some time ago, and the first meds didn't really seem to mesh with me, I just got bouts of intense, aimless anxiety from them with no significant benefits. I was switched to a different prescription and so far they've seemed to actually work, which is nice! It's like my brain is normally full of speed bumps, and while they're definitely still there, they've been lowered a little, at least some of the time.

Yesterday I had a little bit of a health scare. I had been having episodes of severe upper abdominal pain during the weekend, usually at night, and yesterday the pain had also spread to the left side of my back, accompanied by chills, nausea and dizziness. I called the medical helpline to ask whether this should warrant a trip to the emergency clinic and the person responding was worried about the possibility of an acute heart issue, and sent me an ambulance. The paramedics seemed very thorough and the tests came back mostly normal. They mentioned something about mild hypoxia (at heart?) and some other issue I didn't catch at the time, and that it's not quite dire enough to require an immediate ER visit but I should have it looked into as soon as possible. I have an appointment scheduled for thursday.

And I don't know, I'm still shaken about the whole thing. This is a new, very intense kind of pain and it's making me uneasy and unable to think about anything else. Of course in these situations you eventually end up googling and trying to figure out what it could be on your own, and from what I've seen the symptoms could fit gallstones or pancreatitis, but who's to say. I'm just waiting for thursday I guess, not sure of what to do with myself until then.

I keep weighing the option of going to the clinic tomorrow anyway just to be sure, and immediately feeling dumb because I'm obviously in a bit of a crisis mode mentally at the moment and it's probably not that urgent.

If you genuinely think that thirteen didn't get angry and lose her temper then you didn't pay any attention to her to start with. If you can't see her gritting her teeth to hold onto said temper by her fingernails, you didn't pay any attention to her to start with. If you miss that she's mean as hell when she's angry, you're probably one of those people who gets mad at her for not motherly supporting the poor men around her and absolutely couldn't name one moment when she was Actually mean to somebody.

You not noticing that s11-12 was her slowly and slowly having her cheery exterior stripped away and ripped from her while the cracks form and suddenly burst forth in haunting of villa diodati? Is a you problem.

I think the incompetence here is the viewers, honestly, not the show. A long arc where a woman displays (not actually that) subtle emotions where she represses everything and gets to the point where she can't take it anymore? Far beyond the ability of many TV show watchers, sadly, which is a mark on society more than anything else.

You not liking something doesn't mean it's bad, that's the ego talking. I dislike a few of her episodes and I could discuss that, but honestly, I do not win the opinion award and neither do you. But there is a difference between not liking an arc, and being So blinded that you can't even See it.

I wish thirteen had a competent fandom.

First one: I just made a new watcher lol

This Shen Yuan is very much a cry-baby and he doesn’t have the best self-esteem, but he is trying his best! It’s not his fault everything is so hard down in the Endless Abyss, he misses his easy life as a spoiled rich kid!!!!

EVERY SINGLE AVATAR did the best they could with the time, resources, and knowledge that they had. Yes, even that one. Wan? Did the best he could with the time, resources, and knowledge that he had. Yangchen? Did the best she could with the time, resources, and knowledge that she had. Kuruk? The same. Kyoshi? The same. Roku? The same. Aang? The same. Korra? THE FUCKING SAME. Pavi and Nisha? THEM TOO.

For the most part, none of the avatars outright hate each other, especially not the ones y'all are claiming would. Wan would not REMOTELY hate Korra for opening the spirit portals. Korra did not hate Wan for closing them. Kyoshi stopped resenting Kuruk when she found out he dedicated his short life to fighting dark spirits after his love's face was stolen by one. Aang did not hate Roku for the mistakes he made. Korra didn't hate Aang for his. Pavi will not hate Korra for "ending" the avatar cycle, at least when she learns how it happened. You have got to stop pitting the avatars against each other, because they are all reincarnations of one person, and they all understand, or learn to understand, each others' struggles.

Sometimes, just sometimes, society is responsible for their own damn problems. Sometimes the Avatar cannot be an omniscient god who solves all of their problems with the snap of a finger. The Avatar is a person, bonded with (a non god, non omniscient spirit) who is TRYING THEIR BEST OUT OF CONVICTION. Sometimes, humanity cannot rely on a singular figure to solve all of their fucking problems.
