Thanks for answering my ask before. If you don't mind me asking (again), can I ask, who are your top 10 favorite characters (can be from books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......

HAHHA don't worry these asks are fun and i enjoy them so don't apologize for giving me a good time. i do apologise for taking such a long time w these asks, im actually horrible at articulating my thoughts (which is why i am not a writer HA) i think i might be forgetting some characters, or maybe i just dont have alot of faves

1. itoshi rin (blue lock)

i feel like he sticks out like a sore thumb here but he's very much no. 1... something about him being an antisocial introverted hater with abandonment issues, but also has skills to back up his arrogance and (besides all the hate he lets fester within him) actually has a pretty healthy lifestyle.

2. itadori yuuji (jujutsu kaisen)

everything about yuuji is so inherently GOOD and it both interests + pains me to see him being put through all these trials and tribulations of a dark shonen mc 😭

3. gojo satoru (jujutsu kaisen)

i think, like rin, what makes him so interesting is that he has this arrogant and disrespectful personality but then again he's literally the strongest so you cant do jack shit about it. but on the other hand he's this playful goofy (incapable) teacher who spoils his students. i also love OP (to the point it dont make sense) characters.

4. dazai osamu (bungo stray dogs)

i find his inability to be truly happy in any universe fascinating.

5. tachihara michizo (bungo stray dogs)

if i explained it would be major spoilers for s4 and s5 of bsd so i'll just say that his contribution to the plot in the recent seasons really did it for me. the jump from s1 to s4 was a KICK.

6. mikage reo (blue lock)

he's a sopping wet sock. i think this is what people call a gap moe... this perfect, highly capable and charming individual turns into the most pathetic instance of man when his best friend leaves him.

7. giorno giovanna (jojo's bizarre adventure: golden wind)

his birth origins are alr wild. his stand is wild. his battle strategies are wild. his ending is wild. he (alongside jotaro) is probably the least expressive but his personality is so unique lol. a lil rascal.

8. kita shinsuke (haikyuu!!)

its been a while since anyone has mentioned haikyuu for me but kita remains as one of my fav characters LOL i think he's just very refreshing since the cast is full of hungry teenage monsters eager to win and he's almost like a breeze of calm HAHA. the inarizaki team is also very dear to me bcs theyre packed w such cool and strong characters that interact dynamically lol

9. tsukumo yuki (jujutsu kaisen)

honestly, she was the most interesting female character in jujutsu kaisen (for me) until gege decided to trash her. her appearances from todo's flashbacks to her in shibuya were all so badass, plus shes a good example of a character type i really like that radiates strong-confident-fighter aura but isnt really the brooding/dark type... but fun! ykyk. (oot but i REALLY wanted yuki at #9 bcs of her name LOL, realistically she wouldve been at #7)

10. raiden ei (genshin impact) + raiden shogun

again, another insanely OP character that it doesn't even make sense. her lore is crazy. the second raiden quest was what got me hooked (best story quest ever lol), i honestly can't pinpoint what it is from that quest since its been a while but it changed my whole perspective on her and i've been a raiden fan since. a combination of design, personality, lore, and strength (and additionally the raiden ensemble)

Okay bc I can't shut up I'll write about my opinion on every ship on that poll/their eligibility. Under the cut naturally

Dazai Osamu/Nakahara Chuuya or skk or whatever: one of my friends hates them so they deserve to be here

Crowley/Aziraphale: agree on the overexposure level of annoying but aside from that they seem like a cute couple. however i think the fans were largely unbearable and there was problems with antisemitism

Steve Harrington/Eddie Munson: nothing wrong with it but definitely inescapable and super fucking annoying, sorry. i'd have no objection to it being canon but people just went way too crazy for it and now idk.

Reylo: absolutely deserves the win

Star Butterfly/Marco Diaz: this shit was fucking messy. the creators handled it terribly. from what little i know. it can stay

Spamton/Jevil: it can stay only because spamton is annoying as fuck (as was the plan surely) not bc of him even but bc of everyone else (as was the plan surely)

Harrier Du Bois/Kim Kitsuragi: yes theyre drawn a lot (and its always good) and im sure people meowmeowify them and do whatever but overwhelmingly their content is super good and they deserve to be annoying and everywhere. booing them offstage for this poll. theyre good

Herbert West/Daniel Cain: havent watched reanimator but im sure they deserve each other. it can stay just bc as i say later i think horror movie shipping is widely bizarre as fuck and kind of dumb (there are exceptions)

Catra/Adora: never watched SPOP and am curious how they ended up together from how odious catra seemed from the start. probably deserves a spot

Akira Kurusu/Goro Akechi: tHIS is the one i want to win for super petty reasons (the name of the ship) but i know realistically it won't. it can stay though simply because of that

Lapis/Peridot: yeah they can stay. SU teased so much shit with ships and then didn't do a damn thing with em. not that they have to but it was annoying

Tenth Doctor/Rose Tyler: I KNOW WHO SUBMITTED THIS and idk if i just missed the blast radius but during superwholock dr who barely grazed me. so i don't have an opinion! they seem like a sweet couple idk if they should be here though i am sure outside of my bubble they're annoying due to being everywhere

Cole Cassidy/Hanzo Shimada: there are worse ships for hanzo. also they're both kinda hot together. feel like i should give them a pass to leave

Takami Keigo/Todoroki Enji: idk about bnha but if that's todorokis dad then he deserves the chair. they can stay here and rot

Beauregard Lionett/Jester Lavorre: i know nothing about critrole but beauyasha appeals more. based on that they can stay bc its fun to be a hater (not really. idk what im saying here) jk they should go bc jester is cute. shin has educated me on who they actually are

Raiden Ei/Yae Miko: i don't know/like genshin much but i think eriko likes them so get them off this poll immediately

Plus there’s the stuff with the Sorrow being a medium, and the fact that she seems vaguely aware of his spirit? It’s a gold mine! 1. Sorry for spam and spoilers! Inazuma is so disappointing. We leave the resistance after 1 mission, set up Raiden waifu excuse with Yae for 2, then beat the shogun without the resistance. Kokomi doesn’t do shit. Our emotional stake is fucking Teppei. Not a character we pulled or will pull for. The disconnect is insane. Finale’s point is that raiden must open her eyes n ears to the people, but the people speak through the traveler.

Even though one CUTSCENE ago the visions were buffing their resistance friends. Why can’t the visions speak through the resistance! Why can’t we fight Baal together Liyue style!? Kazuha could give us an ER buff since he’s half electro for that fight! Why did we only fight bandits in the CIVIL WAR ARC?! I get the issue of entering her soul. But beating her would get her attention. I get that she’s ‘too strong’ (tho she lost her gnosis ages ago, girl must lift). But if Traveler says “when people move forward, they can surpass gods expectations” maybe people should fight the gods, not the local alien. But no, once again, the universe revolves around the traveler. <3

Seriously though, you're dead on. The resistance/civil war basically amounted to useless subplots for all the attention they were given. Once again, Genshin's focus is squarely on the Archons and their squads, not on the humans whose lives are affected by their actions. It's seriously a bad joke that Sara, the tengu, who works for the Shogun, was the one that got to be angry about the truth behind the Vision Hunt, not anyone that was actually affected by it.

It's extra sad given that most of the chapter is spent setting up the human's stakes, but then just tosses them out the window for the bare minimum resolution by the end. Why even bother, really? The civil war ended with a fizzle completely off-screen, none of the human characters did anything significant or had anything important to say.

In Fate/Grand Order, your main character is an "average human" that acts as an avatar for humanity itself, so it's fine when you speak on behalf of them. In Genshin Impact, you are a divine tourist that just gets involved with Archon Drama who speaks on behalf of the humans getting screwed by it because uh.... you feel like it, and no-one's realised you're not human yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

how the canon shogun is worse than both DID AND Repressed shogun. Repressed is close, but at least in that theory she’s aware of her actions, not getting strung along by her lackeys while she meditates for centuries. Literally no agency. I like the irony of it. She has an omniscient gaze but is actually so withdrawn she can’t see shit. But this irony is not worth every drop of potential she had getting wasted. Also. TWINS???!?!?!?!?!?

I don't mind the irony either, but it's especially annoying that the Shogun built up as having strong convictions & ideals for the future of her country is just (quote Yae) a kid throwing a temper tantrum that locked herself in her room, and hasn't noticed that she's being used by everyone around her. It's the exact opposite of what we expected from her and it's honestly less satisfying. The mystery of why the Shogun is taking Visions and why she's willing to make her people pay such a steep cost is literally resolved with... "well, other people want to do it, and she doesn't care if they do or not because humans are beneath her consideration :)"

Cool. People like her? Because she's not even a victim here, she's just self-centred and passive. Why are we leaving her in charge again?

I don't mind the twin twist, but the fact that it was dropped on us in Yae's post-story question time is just... that's something you tell us during the story, you know... kind of like Scaramouche's deal, actually.

And no reason at all to go to Sumeru. Obviously. Ayaka also did nothing. Yoimiya, too. Barely a minute of characterisation for anyone not named Yae or Ei. They had the potential too. Why was it so rushed? Why did I ever believe?

I like how the perpetually off-screen Ayato's ninjas will be looking for our sibling. The one we know is with the Abyss, but we're still going to Sumeru to hunt down this stupid Goddess. Ugh.

Tbh, I didn't even expect Yoimiya to come back in Act III, so she did better than expected. Ayaka, though... I figured if Mihoyo was being extra competent she might have something, but she had a pretty rough go of it. Honestly, why even bother having her and Thoma, you only really needed him.

But yeah, I... didn't expect it to be good, but I never anticipated it would be this bad. Like, holy shit.

Also be careful with the Signora fight, take a good team, not a physical venti for revenge memes.
