actually i love the lost ones weeping cover. ichika’s high notes makes it sound like they’re in pain; they’re upset, screaming, crying because they are alone and have been abandoned by who they thought would be by their side forever. they are screaming because they have been beytrayed.

shiho’s singing is low and angry; while she’s generally a stand-offish person, she is angry about the rumours and bullying and having to separate herself from her friends. she wants to be with them but she can’t because she can’t drag them into what she’s experiencing. it’s also a lot quiter/hard to hear over ichika’s singing, which could represent that silent suffering and how she’s quiet and cold.

rin in the middle, especially in the mv; she/the virtual singers are trying to bring them back together as friends. she’s the harmony, she’s there in the background trying to help but it’s drowned out by ichika and shiho.

and maybe the notes don’t mesh all that well together at some points but i think that’s so beautiful; they can’t work with each other because of the separation, they can’t cooperate and listen to each other.

and the MV… ichika and shiho facing away from each other, again with rin in the middle. rin/the virtual singers are trying to bring them together, to get them to connect again, but shiho (and honami) simply doesn’t want to. ichika doesn’t want to even look at her because it makes them so upset.

so yeah the lost ones weeping cover is pretty neat actually !! :3
