Happy New Year! It’s been a great 3rd season with so many returning guests and lots of new faces. Even survived the worst wind storm in 25 years. Grateful for everyone that came and hung out with us. . We are closed from Jan 2nd to March 1st with a bunch of new cool projects. Will be 10 Airstreams next season including a Massage Airstream. Airstream 8 and 9 will be in a new section that will be adult only surrounded by peaceful forest. Both will have an outdoor shower. Both were complete renovations from the frame up. A few other surprises that we will announce as we get closer to completion. . Stay safe this NYE and have an amazing 2019. Getting prepared to get back to our Saltspring Island project. Our next undertaking on this property is adding off grid solar to a remote area on this 60 acre plot. It only has to be sized to run a small motor to keep water moving on some wetlands, and only during the summer months when sun hours are greatest ☀️ Whether we're flying to work, or takin a ferry, we'll get there and get the job done. Airstream 9 turned out to be a complete gut. We are redoing all the underbelly and are rebuilding it ground up with roxul insulation and galvanized steel rather than aluminum to avoid the inevitable corrosion with aluminum and steel abutting each other. We are also taking out the wet bath and doing an outside covered shower. This will an interesting process creating the maximum use out of a smaller 22’ Airstream. We are very impressed and inspired by the Van conversion market. . The interior will also be very intentional with every detail designed for maximum usability, durability and visual appeal. Simple, warm and uncluttered. The key elements include a full 60” latex luxurious queen bed, a lounge to lay back and watch Netflix, low energy use and very durable easy to clean surfaces.
