Everyone is prone to pigmentation, one in particular is Melasma. Brown skin especially have seen an increase of melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Melasma is a common skin condition of adults in which brown or greyish patches of pigmentation (colour) develop. It is also known as 'chloasma and 'pregnancy mask' and is often found on the forehead, cheeks, bridge of the nose and above the upper lip. We had our first session of one of my Korean Treatments and the results are astounding. Constipation isn’t just a symptom but it can be a health problem that triggers other conditions that show up on your skin such as acne & breakouts. There are various reasons for breakouts and instead of treating the issues you see topically with products, we look at the possible root cause. In this case we looked at her diet -breakouts in the forehead could be contributed to hair products and headgear…in eastern practices the forehead is linked to digestive issues or one of her doshas…she has an imbalance in or stagnation in her intestines…my suggestion is to get her digestive system going by drinking more warm or room temperature liquids. Iced drinks normally constrict your digestion making it hard for food to flow. in the coming months she should see an improvement as she’s been very consistent with her home care!
